Oh... WILMA ~ They did have some really nice stuff at the Tupperware party, but I just don't need any of it and I am not one to buy just because or from pressure (which I might add --- there was allot of last night!). But they did have some nice things & I enjoyed the scocial time afterwards the most. Stayed there till 10:30! Late night for me
Hope you are having continued success on your program! Thinking of you...
It's back to work this morning. I'm sipping hot coffee this morning and trying to wake up. Michele~ how does that work on decaf??? I have to have the leaded kind myself. Gary does too Over the last few years, I have cut out cokes, cut out most sweets, cut out lots of fatty foods, decreased fats, decreased cholesterol, decreased calories but folks I need caffeine . . . . . . coffee!
Gary~ Glad to hear your church service went well. Wow! That's a GREAT turnout!!!! BBQ huh, YUM!
Marilyn~Glad to have you. I hope you enjoy yourself here. WOW!!! That's a LOT OF MILES!!! You pat yourself on your back!!!! I would be extremely proud if that was me!!!! Keep up the GOOD WORK!!!!!
Sue~Think positive about the job!!! You may not get it but you WILL Get the job GOD has for you!!!! And then again you may just get this job. Only God knows for sure. Thanks for missing me. It's nice to be missed. Have LOTS of fun camping this weekend. I wish we could sneak off and go but our Friday nights are tied up with football games with the kids till October. But look out in October!!!!
Sunny~ How did the tupperware party go? I love them but just can't afford the prices! I'm glad you have talked with Zoe, glad we will see her again. I think we need to name you, Mother Sunny You sure try to keep us all in line and help us out. What would we ever do without you my friend? Where did you get so smart? Speaking of that, since I had my tooth pulled which I thought was my wisdom tooth, since it was in the very back of my mouth . . . .my wisdom tooth is trying to come in. Who knew I would get wisdom teeth at 42?
Wilma~It rained here yesterday too. But we are so thankful for every little drop we got. We are in the middle of a drought. I don't think if it rained a flood, we could even catch up the year here. I do pray that God will bless us with a good soaking rain. And I praise God for every drop we got yesterday!!!
Judy~I like that bumper sticker too. I love crafts too!!! Especially "country" crafts!!!! I used to do craft shows all the time but that is REALLY a job!!!! May consider in my old age.
Michele~I want to know more about the South Beach diet. What all do you know about it my friend? I did the Atkins for about two weeks but craved fruits and veggies so if the South Beach is more of these, it might be just the diet for me!!!! Let me know what you know!!! Have a good weekend!! Hope this finds you feeling better. Thanks for the devotionals!!! You are my blessing!
[color=red]Hope EVERYONE has a GREAT Friday and a GREAT weekend!!!!
I gotta scoot on off and get ready for work, but hopefully I will have enough time and energy to check back with you later. If now today, this weekend.
Welcome to Marilyn! So sorry about your problems. I'll be praying for both of you.
SunnyD...Hope you kitty is better, now. I got a chance to go back & read more of the posts, & found where you posted about the troops...& the beautiful image. That was very sweet. They ALL still need a lot of prayer.
My daughter has received a couple of short emails from Chris. He sounds good in those. The emails to his dad, however, are quite different. He doesn't know Gina is reading them. I kind of wish she wasn't...but, like his dad....I think she has a right to know the truth. She is holding up a little better now....thank you all for praying.
Doitforme....thanks for the prayers & the compliments. Everything with managers are the same....just waiting.
I love chocolate too!!
Hope all have a great day...mine is going to be busy again...the Lord has given me strength for this week. Thank you all for praying!!

Hi Michele!
Hi Michele... I haven't forgotten you...
I will catch you later when I get home from the vets, okay. Always thinking of you and hope that the diet is working out for you. My niece loves Atkins and has lost quite allot of weight. I just prefer the South Beach myself... you know what they say, "different strokes for different folks". Ta!
gotta be quick- taking my son to the high school where he coaches-- he is taking the cross-country team to Las Vegas for an invitational, and doesn't want to leave his car there all week-end. Probably 60 kids are going with the 2 coaches and parents-- was always a lot of fun when I did it with him for 4 years when he was in high school.
Sunny so sorry about your cat! sounded like he was doing better though-- hope the vet goes easy on you $$$$$ they sure don't with my brother and his pets. Always something!
Good morning Sherry- hope that coffee tastes as good as mine! Have a great day
Angel -Lover- glad to here some positive e-mails from Iraq.
Sprout-- good luck with your journal
doitforme-- when are "we" leaving for Alaska again? I forgot
~ Sunny~ Trompe L 'Oeil is a type of paint style. You paint on walls so they look like real windows or doors where there are none. Some resturants ask artists to paint tuscany grape vines, or pillars. You can check it out more if you search it on google. They have some neat pictures. The cookee pops did not go so well. I used rice crispy treats instead of sugar cookee dough. It was a sticky mess. Another lady used cookee dough and it worked alot better, you do have to make it preaty thick to hold the pop stick. She added sprinkles and put a bow on the stick. It was cute. The molds are at Michaels craft store in the cake decorating section. I think they will sell fast.
Sunny, I hope your cat is ok. Keep us informed about how he is doing.
~Gary~ You have alot of people in your church! We just changed churches last year. We had been in this church for 10 years. The paster died from cancer in the middle of a building project. We loved him dearly, and miss him. The new paster had trouble fitting in. He wanted to make changes and we where still morning the old paster. The building was completed. It looked great! The new paster started having stress related heath problems. He worried about the morgage and other stuff. He finally left the church. Some of the other staff members started fighting over stupid stuff. They started making big decisions without the body of the church. They said the body was babes in Christ and had no say on church matters. I say when your saved God guides you ,therefore we are all babes in Christ. We left along with half the congregation. They now have a new paster who is fantastic. there numbers are growing. I'm so happy God sent a good leader for the church. I would love to go back but there are still some hard feelings. Some of the old staff are still there. The music director ( old staff) refused to do any programs to honor the military or vets. He felt that had nothing to do with God. We also never had a good Christmas program. Another church had a living Christmas tree and he didn't want to compete. Who cares what other churches have I simple wanted to honor Christ. End of soap.
Sorry I vented on you Gary have a blessed day.
" nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission"
I don't know what's happening sometimes with the images. When I place and hit preview they are there but disappear when I submit post.
Thanks for the website. I will check it out.
I know I'm suppose to be at work but I came back home for a few minutes. That's what I love most about my job. I don't punch a clock. I have some freedom. So, I sneak around and see patients and run back home or the park and do Bible study or whatever I need to do. Like a little
I hope your little kitty is ok. Maybe it was just something he ate and he's all better now.

Guido
Hello everyone...
Thank-you so very much for your concerns with my kitty --- Guido is better. He just got very ill with what seemed to be a flu 'type' bug. Can you believe it. The vet charged me $50.00 to tell me he was going to be fine and is well on the mend. He was so ill yesterday, poor baby. But is back to his old antics today, so good to see! To be fair to the vet... she did give him a "full" check-up while he was there. Guido weighs 13lbs !! My big baby
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in case you didn't hear: John Ritter died! I heard it this morning on the radio and so I looked it up on Google news when I got home. Here is the link to the write up in case you are interested. How very sad!! I liked him. http://www.hollywood.com/news/detail/article/1727720
Also, Johnny Cash died last night too ~ from his diabetes... goodness.
Talk to you again soon.
Thank-you again for caring so much
Well my day went pretty well- got the son off on his trip to Vegas, got the nephew to and from school and even a little work done. My daughter is on a tennis bonding trip with her college team-- they are up the coast surfing. My nephew just went with his mom for the evening and my step-D is doing an art project at her dad's house before my wife takes her and drops her off at the high school football game-- I don't go because it is the "OTHER" school in town-- not mine and my kids alma mater. I go to my high school games a lot-- especially during the playoffs which they are in frequently-- have seen many games at Quallcom stadium in San Diego over years- the local high schools get to play the championship there-- where the Chargers play-- a big deal for the kids.
SUNNYD-- What! Are you kidding? on the flowers-- for no REASON??? It is because you are a hottie!!!! Joe knows what a good thing he has and no way does he want to lose it. Yes I heard about Cash and Ritter-- was thinking at work they go in 3's- was wondering who was next and then I remembered Warren Zevon died this week- does that count? Glad to her the kid is OK-- they sure do cost us don't they? Wait until he starts driving
SHERRY I am glad you got a few minutes at work for yourself. You deserve it that's for sure! How are you feeling today? How are those kids doing-- the little one still exploring?
doitformeSue- Still waiting on that Alaska trip info Don't give up so easy on that job-- and if you don't get it remember the good Lord has a better plan for you!!
JUDY Sorry about your past church problems-- there are probably about 1,000 members in our church-- however only about 500 go to service on the week-end-- we have a Sat. night and 2 choices on Sunday- about 50 on Sat. and a little over 200 each service on Sunday. In any church if the focus is not on Christ it will fail-- it isn't easy making decisions for a lot of people- we have a lot of checks and balances at our church-- our Pastor has been here close to 35 years-- he is about 60. With any major cost decision we vote on it as a congregation-- for routine stuff we take care of it through voted on board members-- still there is complaints from time to time-- nobody agrees on everything-- I look at it this way- if the "intentions" were good that is enough for me!
well Angie wants to get on to work on a website she is trying to do-- not sure if she will figure it out-- it is for her class-- a site the students and parents can go to to see the daily assingments etc!
She is ripppppppppppppppppppppppping the computer out of my hands-- Later, In HIS LOVE-GARY
Hello! I am sorry I have been Stressing the last few days and then I come back and there are sooooo many posts I had to catch up! This week has been busy and I still have a lot of things to do to get done before the wedding but I do have a lot done. A girl I worked with her 14 year brother (he looked 8) killed himself. He hung himself. He went to school with my 16yr old. I went to pay my respects to the family and when I got there I saw over 100 people waiting to say goodbye. There were teens crying everywhere and I couldn't help thinking I wish he could see the all the lives his death touched! And I went and helped the church try to get put back together from the flood. School started again Wensday but the place is still a mess. It will take a lot to put it all back together. We also have gotten some bad news on two of my friends from church they both found out they have cancer so both will have surgery. Please keep them in your prayers. Thier names are Larry and Cathy and my DSFIL Warren also found out he has cancer. And I am going next tuesday to KY to visit my aunt who just found out she has cancer and going through treatment.
Sprout-A big welcome! And I will keep you and your husband in my prayers.
I would love to address all of you but I have so much still to do for this wedding I promise I will be better afterward!
PS. I think if we all met we would have so much fun I would share my scrapbook with all of you and we could have a great healthy pitch-in!
