I am back after a short vacation. Was 155.4 this morning, a bit disappointed as I expected lower seeing that according to my Fitbit I walked about 15 km each day!
Oh well, back at it, hope to hit the gym tomorrow :) Good to see everyone is doing great! |
This is the place for me! I've been struggling to leave the 150's for what seems like forever at this point. I hit 148 about a month ago but then gave up on eating with any kind of control for like 2 weeks, and well here I am again. Almost out of the 150's, but I know it's gonna take a little time still!
|
After gaining/bloating on vacation, I'm back to where I was - 152.0. The heat is hard on me this week - my tendency is to eat, rather than try to drink water.
|
Hello 150's crew! i hope the weekend finds everyone well and sticking to whatever plan is working.
- Travel weight -- ugg -- I hear you. All the salt and carbs are hard to avoid when eating out. I traveled 2 of the last 4 weeks, so October was a tough one for me. But, I managed to squeak out a few pounds. Riestrella's Halloween Challenge really helped keep me going. - Xriotgirl - wow! welcome and it looks like you will be partying in the 140's soon. Gogogo. |
Hi All,
I am thrilled to be joining the 150s. Although, I do hope it flies by quickly. The weight does seem to be coming off much more slowly. Diminishing returns, I guess. Only one pound to go to be below my husband. Fingers crossed! I am excited to be here and share in your adventures! |
Welcome O&E !! Wow...you are almost to BMI 25. Wonderful. Just wonderful. I understand it is slower as you get closer to a normal BMI, but well worth the patience. Do you have a plan for maintenance yet?
|
Hi There,
My next goal is a normal BMI. Hope I get there! I think I will stick to tracking calories and working out. I do know I need to up the strength training big time. Sigh. I am sure I will enjoy it if I find a way to do it at home. I do best with a plan and checklist. Any suggestions? I am feeling a lot more hungry lately with just a small calorie drop. My tracker program (Microsoft Lose It) had my drop into the 1400s and I feel hungry when I go to bed. I have lost close to fifty in the past year without really struggling with this at all. Anybody know any tricks for this? Nightowl: you are so close to making it out of 150s!!! Rounds to. . . |
Hi Everyone!
I am new to this thread and 150 lbs. is my goal weight. I am 158 lbs. this morning. I have a better life today. I feel great! I have lost 122 lbs. so far and am size 10 now. Keep going!! :carrot::carrot::carrot: Robin :) |
I haven't been weighing recently :( and scared to get on the scale.
My current problem is ordering takeout due to being too tired to cook when I get home from work. Also my supermarket is not so conveniently located, while in my previous apt it was just on the way home from work, here I have to go out of my way. I really, really need to get a gym routine going since I know that will give me more energy. I will go to the supermarket today to get some stuff like bars that I can eat before working out in the morning. I usually have trouble sleeping if I work out in the evening, so that's the reason why I will do it in the mornings. Good luck to everyone!:carrot: |
156.5 lbs. this morning. It is Thanksgiving Day here in the USA and I am having Thanksgiving here at my house. Lots of cooking and food. I will not overeat today. It is simply not worth it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
Keep going!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot: Robin |
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm still around - just so busy trying to keep my department at work afloat and running! We are down people, have 2 temps, 2 new people, and trying to get straightened out for our yearly audit...it's crazy now
I still weigh between 159 and 159.6 on any given day...without really trying too hard so there's that. Being holiday time it's okay. I'm having coffee right now and we'll be off to have Thanksgiving dinner at noon with our pastor, his wife, and some of our congregation. Everyone enjoy! |
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I have stopped weighing myself. But this weekend I will start again, I will get a corkboard from Ikea to make a vision board with my goals to get me motivated. I recently found some of my old calendars - where I would write my weight down every day, gosh this struggle has been going on for so long :( But I have to say the last few years have been intense with lots of country/city moves, job changes, major illnesses in my family, and now I'm preparing for some tough exams in my profession. The exams are in March and after that my life will be so much easier! Anyway, it will help to be physically fit for the exams, to have more stamina. So I will use those exams also as motivation to get to the gym. In other news, I am going on a ski trip for Xmas week, and unfortunately I will have to get new ski pants :( I hope to be able to sell them after I lose the weight as they are expensive. Good luck everyone!:carrot: |
hey ladies!!! 158.6 today...man this is taking longer than usual! still around, drinking 310 shakes, tea, and lemonade to keep from gaining through the holidays! :D
|
Hello All,
Hanging around at 152. I guess making it through the holidays would be pretty amazing! Baby steps! Really trying to take in lots of protein and at around 30 grams at a time. It does help with hunger (for me)! Any other tricks you guys have up your sleeves? I had some sad days so suddenly those holiday treats are looking great! |

157.6 this morning - IDK what I did but ok!!! :D
|
Hi folks. Yesterday and today 158.4lbs.
Difficult time ahead with the Christmas period and for me, being off work for the next 12 days. One day at a time.... |
back from holiday and didn't lose but also didn't gain :carrot:
back on the wagon, let's do this!:carrot: |
Happy !!!! So glad you are maintaining. Hopefully, you and I and whoever else wants to join us will battle our way to join the cool kids in the 140s lounge together.
I have spent November and December in the 155 range. Lots of reasons why and I planned to just try to not gain like you. Small victories for us both. Now - off we go !!!! The cookies and wine and cheeses are out of the house. I have a plan for daily elliptical and spinning. Do you have a diet or exercise plan to keep you on track? I find I do much better when I have a plan. |
Hello everyone!
I'm new here, but I've read the entire 'getting out of the 150's' threads for motivation and now decided to share! I've started my weight loss journey on October 12th at 167.5 lbs and am now down to 154.3 lbs. I didn't lose much in the beginning, so I started counting calories since the end of November and it really was an eyeopener! I'm glad the holidays are almost over... I love this time of the year but it's a real challenge!! Anyways, I'll be joining you all in this thread, hoping to get out of the 150's in a while!! Good luck to you all!! |
Hi guys  I can't remember if I've posted in this thread before because I have been so inconsistent recently, but I am here! Afraid to weigh myself after the last month happened, but assuming I'm somewhere on the high end of 150's. So sad to realize, considering I had at one point actually been OUT of the 150's, but so goes the journey. Just hoping to find some accountability and support with people who are on a similar path!
|
Hey everyone! I wanted to hop in though I hope not for long. I weighed in today at the tail end of the 150s, 151.8. I've been fighting the 150s for a few weeks now and hope to be out of them by the start of the new year. Good luck to everyone!
|
Nightowlrn- I feel like I can't succeed without a plan, not for any length of time anyway. You are absolutely spot on about that!
It makes me feel better to know I'm not alone in struggling through the holidays. Some times I feel so NOT normal when it comes to my body and my relationship with it, like the majority of people couldn't understand the things I struggle with on a daily basis, and after the past 2 months or so I was beginning to feel like I'm just not cut out to be healthy, I'm just not cut out to be fit. Nonsense!! My boyfriend and I made a pact to workout 6 days a week (or 5 on a bad week) and I've begun planning my food and workouts like I used to. I feel like me again, the me who is fully capable of a healthy, fit lifestyle! |
Well, I'm posting after going away for the New Year's weekend and I'm posting after a gain, BUT I'm still counting it as a victory because I only gained a whopping .6 and I'm hoping a lot of that is water. Since I did drink and it was mostly wine and bubbly. I'm going to hop on the IF train starting today, so, let's see where it takes me. Happy first week of 2017, everyone!
|
Hello 150s travelers. I am slowly, but surely, moving in the right direction again. I have been here in the 150s so long, I feel like a squatter. Time to get super serious. Watching intake, drinking water, and almost every day 30 minutes on the spin bike and 3000 elliptical strides. I hope everyone else is doing well and keeping goals!
1000sunny - I hope the IF goes well. I kinda-sorta do IF, but I am not militant as long as my weekly calorie total is in my target range. |
Thanks @Nightowlrn! So far, IF has been alright. Well, for the whopping third day I've been at it. What's tough is that it means I do fasting cardio every day but I'm getting used to it. We've got a very similar spring goal! Good luck, here's to us hitting that by March.
I'm sitting at 151.2 right now and this damn scale won't budge. But I have a terrible habit of weighing in every day. I know I should wait out any PMS related retention but damn if I'm not a slave to those numbers. How's everyone else doing? |
|
After starting at 167.6 I lost weight easily initially. First weight I got stuck at was 154.8. Then on Thursday weighed in at 153.2 and maintained it into yesterday. Yeay I've lost a stone☺️. Hoping to lose today when I weigh in. It's early morning as I write in the UK, cannot sleep. Only had about 700 calories yesterday (if my counting is correct😏 It might not be).
|
^Congrats on the 154 :carrot:
I hope to see at least 149 in January, feeling motivated. Went to the gym yesterday AND today, so I am finally achieving some consistency. :) |
My goal was under 150 by the 22nd February (holiday), I feel I could get to this sooner so I may set some new goals.
Under 150 by end of January. Then under 147 by the holiday. Hoping I'm not over-reaching. Good luck with your 149 happyNottsgirl. |
Happily I achieved 151.4lbs today. Yippee.
|
149 for the third day in a row, I'm calling it official! Good luck to you all and... Is there a getting out of the 140s thread?!

New Low
It's not a great loss. I'm now at 150.8. Yeah :D
That's 17 lbs in 7.5 weeks. |
Snowpup - WOW! That is amazing progress. You may graduate to the 140s thread soon. Wonderful.
As for me, I am finally moving in the right direction again. I have been 155-152 since October. Very frustrating, but to be honest - November and December saw lots of parties, traveling a lot, and just winter sluggery in general stopped my progress. I started in earnest again January 1 and didn't budge for many days, which surprised me. I examined what I was eating and realized too many handfuls of walnuts as I strolled near the pantry. So - those are gone now and I am down 2 pounds this week! I may be leaving this thread soon as I woke up to 150 on the mark this morning. Finger crossed my body is ready to start losing again. |
Well done on the 150 I'm sure you'll manage transition into the 140s.
I've put in a really good day today so I might wake up to sub 150 tomorrow. Hope you do too Nightowlrm. |
I woke up to 148.8 !!! My rule is 3 days at a new range of 10 before I call it real. I hope everyone is having a successful few weeks.
ETA - 1/22 = 148.2 |
Good work Nightowlrn. I got down to 149.6 Saturday. Went up to 150.4 for the next two days. Dropped to 149.4 today and am determined to stay below.
I've only had 800 calories today and it's nearly bedtime. |
