160.4 today! My period is almost over, so I'm hoping I'll ditch some of this bloating over the next few days and get myself into the next thread. :)

wolfchan - you are doing great! My weight loss has slowed dramatically and it may take another month for me.

I am waiting on my folding recumbent bike. FedEx has it, they just can't make it to my door with all the snow in our subdivision. After I get it, I may be able to burn some calories to help. I think right now, I am almost eating at a maintenance level of calories and I really don't want to drop any lower.

163.4 :) I'm getting there and it feels great!! It's my time of the month so I usually fluctuate. Maybe tmi but I noticed I'm much less moody/pms since I'm losing weight.

I like this support group! I think we are all doing amazing. Hang in there everyone!

162.0 this morning. Seems to be a reoccurring theme...lol But I am 2 days into aunt flow so I am hoping to cross over to the new thread SOON!

Yesterday was a full day at the hospital with DH getting knee surgery. Thankfully they had a bagel shop. Did not eat again until I got home at 5 and had a steak and cheese wrap with lettuce & tomato. This morning's weigh in was 167.4. So, I am coasting along with you girls!

I'm down 0.6 after sweating to some Zumba last night. The plans are to return again tonight. I need to eat fewer cals. Hopefully that will begin to happen when and IF I can get obtain a day job!!

Sunshine99 - Welcome to the thread! I quit cold turkey. I have not had anything made with sugar for 8 1/2 months and I am so glad I broke free from craving it. This is one lady that used to eat pies, cakes and packages of candy everyday.

I've been dipping in and out of the 160s for half a year. I'd love to be out of them for good. I gain before and during TOM but have trouble losing it afterwards, and by the time I do I'm regaining again. Lather, rinse, repeat. The last time I lost weight was November but I've more or less plateaued for even longer.

You could try weening yourself off of sugar. This is what helped me. For drinks I quit soda cold turkey and cut back on juice almost completely. I started adding less and less sugar to my tea until eventually I could drink it plain and drink lemon water instead of lemonade.

For solid foods just try to have that one reasonably portioned sweet thing for the day if you absolutely have to have something sweet, but as a compromise you should drop some other high carb food. Like if you must eat a candy bar then you can't have bread later and vice versa, that sort of thing. Try to eat a sweet fruit over a processed food though.

You don't have to have your sugar all in one sitting. You can take that one thing and split it up to have throughout the day. You can also make your own treats instead of buying them pre-made and cut back on the amount of sugar in the recipe. When I bake I cut the sugar by half. After a while you'll start to prefer things less sweet in general. I started to notice a hint of sweetness in things like vegetables, and sugary things are so overly sweet that they don't taste as good.

Thanks, K9. South Beach Diet phase 1 is 2 weeks of eliminating all sugars, grains, starchy vegetables and fruits. The reason for this phase is to eliminate your cravings. It takes a lot of determination, but, boy, did I enjoy my first piece of fruit after the first 2 weeks!

Inching down slowly. Hit 167.0 this morning.

161.6 :) I'm starting to get comments at work about my weight loss and it feels good to have some positive feedback.

I'm adding in 160.8 because a few hours later after I went back to sleep, that's what it was:)

Wow great job on quitting sugar,Im a huge sugar addict.
168.8 Friday ,didn't weigh today because of eating ice cream and oreos yesterday. downhill skiing today and will stick to calories so hopefully scale will be down tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone working so hard to get out of the 160s, and to those who have gotten into the 150's!

I just made my mini goal of getting into the 150's by March, a month early! This morning the scale said 159.2. Moving on over to the 150's thread.

I've had 3 days of poor choices and the scale reflects it for sure! I'm up 3 lbs--basically back to where I started (170.6).
Weight loss is NOT linear!

well, I was awol for three weeks after a car accident. I broke my wrist and was pretty banged up and I'm feeling well enough to get back on the wagon. I'm up a bit, to 167, but have decided Feb is the month that I finish with the 160s!

I'm waiting until tomorrow to weigh myself. Fingers crossed. I am thinking it'll be 160 point something and hopefully by the end of the week I can cross over into the 150s. But I'd love to wake up and be 159 tomorrow morning.

Sugar and salt cravings are the worse ... I can never satisfy them and when I attempt to I ALWAYS over indulge :(

I'm back again. I haven't seen the 160's since January 15th. My low was 166.9 on January 14th and after that the scale just kept going up and up :( Yesterday was 169.9, today 169.1 ... hope to keep it moving in this downward direction :crossed:

164.6 this morning. Definately need to jump on the recumbent bike. I think I ate more than one serving of peanuts! I went grocery shopping Saturday and the Rotary was selling them for a scholarship program. They are from Wakefield and good and fresh. Didn't realize how many I had eaten until too late. :devil:

Thanks Kat :) It's easy to overeat anything that has a serving size of 1/4 of a cup. I always do unless I measure it ;)

Had a bad day with the food intake today. I was hungry all day and made some poor choices including a binge session on some cookies and crackers in the break room at work. I was still hungry afterward!

Oh well it happens and it could have been a lot worse. But must get back on track tomorrow.
