Im on holiday in Korea for a week so I don't have access to a scale, I'm hoping I can maintain at 165 for the duration. I don't exercise in general, but I've been tracking my calories. Flying seems to make me puffy though, so who knows.

Sorry to hear your week has been stressful. :( hopefully you have a chance to decompress soon.

Miracle2617 02-01-2017 09:58 PM

Awesome Enjoy your vacation.Today was better for me.

tinneranne2 02-05-2017 06:10 AM

Yay for better days. I'm going back home to Beijing tomorrow afternoon so it'll be easier to make less calorie-dense choices. Being a vegetarian in Korea is even more difficult than in China, so I ate more pizza/pasta/bread than I usually do at home. I went over on my calories a couple days but I think my highest was like 1800? Shouldn't have done significant damage.

How goes your quest to defeat the 160s? :)

Miracle2617 02-06-2017 07:14 PM

Hi, If you were on vacation and stayed at 1800 that is great.I was at 163.4 this morning, but I spurlged a little at a superbowl party so yesterday I was probably over calories.I am so looking forward to getting to the 150s.We can do it!

tinneranne2 02-06-2017 09:20 PM

Funny story: I managed to completely forget the superbowl was this weekend. I knew who was playing and everything because of Facebook but didn't realize it was happening so soon. I am back to 166 somehow, which really ticks me off. I'm hoping it's some plane related bloat (which may be a thing I'm making up entirely. Lol)

You are so close! You'll be into the next thread in no time!

Miracle2617 02-07-2017 12:36 AM

Tinneranne, You can gain some water weight from traveling. You may have been downing less water than usual We will get there!

bloominbutterflies 02-07-2017 10:24 AM

Hello guys! I'll be joining you. I just left the 170's last night (although I may bump back up there time to time) so I'm ready to join the 160's crew! Let's do this!!

Miracle2617 02-07-2017 07:24 PM

Welcome butterflies! Congrats on getting to the 160s!We can do it.150s here we come.

bloominbutterflies 02-08-2017 09:07 AM

Thankyou Miracle!

I did my weekly weigh in today and got 167.8! Yippee! Hopefully I don't get stuck on this number and resent this it later hahaha

tinneranne2 02-08-2017 10:22 PM

Hi butterflies! Welcome to the 160s! It's a pretty exclusive club, apparently. Lol.

I am looking to be a permanent resident of the 160s at the moment, though things are going in the right direction again after my vacation. I'm 164.6 today. Yay! Honestly I weigh myself in KG but I convert it for folks here (and also bc I like to see the numbers go down faster. Lolol)

Miracle, how's it going? You recover from the Super Bowl party?

Miracle2617 02-09-2017 10:10 PM

Hi Tinneranne and butterflies, Cograts on your losses. You are moving on down.My super bowl treats did not do any lasting damage.I'm down to 162.I can see the 150s! My calories were a little off today cause there was a special lunch at work and I have plans this weekend that includes dinner out on both nights.Going to have to plan well. I bought my kiddos boxes of Valentine chocolates today. Small victory--I wasn't tempted.Hope it stays that way.😄

tinneranne2 02-10-2017 09:32 PM

Haha I had to ask my fiancé not to buy me food treats for Valentine's Day. 95% of the time if he brings me a surprise it's food. I'm trying to convince him that cleaning something is an equally sweet gesture. :D

tinneranne2 02-11-2017 09:29 PM

164.2 today. My weight loss is hella slow but also not much work at all, so I'm hoping I can keep this up indefinitely. As long as things are generally trending downward I'll be happy with it in the long run.

Helianthus 02-12-2017 11:00 AM

Hey everyone! I've been here on and off for a while, but this is my first time back in a few months. I graduated from college last Spring and hoped that with more free time, I'd be able to dedicate myself to fitness and health. Instead, I've gained 15lbs and have been really lazy with cooking.

I'm at 167.8 as of this morning (about 2 lbs down)! My goal for now is to get to 150lbs by June 1st, so that will take some dedication.

Of course, I've been telling myself all along that I will eat better, get stronger, and lose a little weight, but it hasn't happened. The thing is, if I did what I wanted to 7 months ago, I would've met my goal! So now it's time to really buckle down!

bloominbutterflies 02-13-2017 11:33 AM

Thanks Tinneranne!

There's room for 1 more in the slow as **** weight loss club lol. My lastest drop is 167.8 to 167.6! Cowabunga! The good news is I got this on a Monday morning which is usually my worst time on the scale after the weekend :)

tinneranne2 02-13-2017 10:28 PM

163.6 today - yay! I am the tortoise of weight loss. We are going out to dinner for Valentine's Day so I'm trying to keep my meals during the day super light. Sweet potato for breakfast so far, delicious. :)

Helianthus - hey, 2lbs is nothing to sneeze at. Sometimes it's all you need, to see a little progress at the beginning to keep you motivated! Welcome to our wee board.

Bloomin - seeing a loss after the weekend is a victory for sure.

Do any of you guys have timed goals? Like "5lbs by X date". I was hoping to be 73kg by the end of February but it's super unlikely bc the first week of Feb was a wash in Korea...I'm 74.2 today... I'm kinda thinking that timed goals aren't a great idea for me. Lol. It doesn't really matter how slowly I'm losing weight as long as I am doing it. Thoughts? Does it work for you?

Miracle2617 02-14-2017 11:46 PM

Hi, Great job Tinneranne!Slow and steady wins the race.Welcome Helianthus! Bloomin, I saw a 2 pound gain Mon.Ouch! it happens.Hubby and I had Valentine's over the weekend.Nice dinner out with friends and adult beverages.I knew it was water.Seems gone today.I was 160.8 and 161.2 when I weighed twice this morning. So close. Also, I started at 245 and didn't do timed goals.Too much pressure.I just worry about 5 pounds at a time.Like at 170, I say "anyone can lose 5 pounds" and try to hit 165 and then I say "anyone can lose 5 pounds" and try to get to 160.Five pounds sounds so easy so it helps me.My VDay victory was no chocolate.Only the kiddos got big boxes of chocolate today.I love it, but just like with soda I cannot do just one.I did sneak a gummy heart from the bag I gave my youngest.😃

tinneranne2 02-15-2017 10:44 PM

Miracle - that's a really good idea, and certainly seems to be working for you! You are soooo close to leaving us! I wonder if the 150s thread is more populated? I'm 162.5 today...getting slightly antsy to see that number change. Patience. Patience.

My sweetie got me greyscale macarons for Valentine's Day and they were beautiful but tasted AWFUL...so I got to enjoy them aesthetically without eating them. Hahaha.

tinneranne2 02-18-2017 08:32 PM

162. progresssssssssss.

Miracle2617 02-18-2017 09:27 PM

Congrats Tinneranne! You are doing great! We will be in the 150s thread soon.I saw 159.6 today.Doing a happy dance.I' m not calling it the 150s yet because I sometimes go up a pound or two over the weekend.Weekends are my tough times.I went to my brother's birthday lunch today. So fun but I am sure I am over my calories. Also got none of the things I needed to do done today.Oh well, enjoying family is more important.

tinneranne2 02-19-2017 05:40 AM

I've got TOM approaching so I'm going to be in this thread for a good while still. Lol. You've got a foot out the door though! Yay! Family is definitely important, dieting to the point that you are missing out on actual life activities isn't sustainable. Good for you for enjoying yourself and not beating yourself up for it. :)

chubbysfchick 02-20-2017 12:06 PM

hi all! newbie here! Ive been stuck in the 160s for the past 2 years. Was wondering, on average, how many pounds do you lose a week? Im counting calories 1200-1500 and working out . Whats the deal? Feeling frustrated

Miracle2617 02-21-2017 08:34 PM

Welcome Chubbychick. When I started out at 245, I could lose 3 to 4lbs a week on 1200 to 1500 calories a day.Now on 1200 to 1300 a day, I seem to be at 1 pound a week.I need to exercise.I refuse to be under 1200 calories a day because I have pretty good metabolism and I want to keep it that way.Still at 159.4 and not calling it yet.I need a whoosh and to see 158 first.150s thread, here we come!😄

Hello welcome to the 60's group! :carrot:

I lose about 0.4 lbs a week. Now I know you can lose a LOT more, but it's hard because I have a lot going on in my social life. Works for me anyway, sorry you're frustrated! I think as long as you're losing something every week you're winning.

bloominbutterflies 02-22-2017 09:05 AM

Speaking of which, reporting in for another 0.4 lb drop this week. I'm right on target. I've very happy I managed to lose what I needed because I honestly thought I had f***ed the whole thing up with this crazy weekend I had. Um, for dinner on Saturday I had 6 glasses of wine and ice cream sandwiches.

Very excited to reach my goal next week because I'll finally be seeing numbers I haven't seen since before Christmas.

Miracle2617 02-23-2017 09:58 PM

Congrats Bloomin! All weight loss counts.I was 159 this morning and 158 at my doctor's appt this afternoon.I am usually about 2 pounds more there.Hmmmm.I don't weigh everyday, but if I am 158 again next time,I will officially call it as I will have been in the 150s a week.So exciting because my goal is 145. Lots of kids sports this weekend and no celebrations planned around meals. That will be the first time in a few weeks.Weekends are tough for me.Happy Friday all! It is hitting 80 degrees where I am Friday.I have no excuse for not taking a long walk.

Miracle2617 02-25-2017 05:57 PM

Well guys I" m calling it.I was 157.4 this morning. So moving on- 150s thread.See all( ok the very few) of you there. Goal weight here I come!

tinneranne2 02-25-2017 10:18 PM

Miracle we will miss you but YAY on getting out of here!

So TOM has passed and as usual I have lost no weight. Luckily the bump I experience monthly as gone away but I had a rough week in terms of moderating my intake. Lol. I'm a garbage disposal when I'm on my period and I went back to work this week after the holiday for Chinese New Year so making sure I have all my healthy noms has been a challenge. 161.8 today. Im getting married (legally, no pomp) on March 14 and I'd like to be solidly in the 150s by then.

Miracle2617 02-27-2017 08:17 AM

Congrats on your marriage Tinneranne! That's wonderful.I'm sure you'll be in the 150s on the big day.

tinneranne2 02-28-2017 07:54 PM

:):) thanks.

I've been weighing in at 161.8 for....what seems like ever now. lol. Still following the 1400 calorie diet (more or less). I feel like I eat pretty clean...not much processed food, no soda, no alcohol, no caffeine, no animal products at home (I do eat dairy when I'm at a restaurant). Now that I write it out it sounds hella restrictive, but I don't really care for alcohol or soda and caffeine gives me anxiety... I would eat doritos for every meal of the day if I let myself though. Processed foods are delicious. lolol

Basically what I'm saying is that I'm pretty pleased with my eating habits, though I need to focus on more veg/protein and less carb.

In a typical work day I'm out of the house from 6am-6pm and I eat
- an apple with 2tbsp of peanut butter
- instant oatmeal
- a baked sweet potato
- baked broccoli with pasta/tofu/beans and brown rice
....and then whatever for dinner. hummus with cucumber, veg stir fry, refried beans and rice with avocado. depends on the night.

My weight loss is slooooooooooooowwwwww but I don't really feel like I'm giving anything up so I'm really hoping that this is just going to be the way I eat from now on. Maintenance is where I've failed in the past. It took three years for me to gain the weight I lost back, I can certainly spend a few months losing it. :):)

bloominbutterflies 03-03-2017 09:02 AM

Hello ladies I did not reach my usual 0.4 lb drop this week. I only got 0.2 :/. I had TOM and had a lot of water retention issues, I usually weigh in on Wednesday, but I noticed I kept losing water like everyday so I decided to wait. I think I lost a 1.5 of water over the weekdays even though my TOM was basically over by Wednesday. :(

Anyway not impressed with myself, but I will be working super hard this week to 0.6 lbs by next week to catch up to where I should be! :carrot:

bloominbutterflies 03-03-2017 09:06 AM

:hat: Wow congrats on you upcoming wedding tinneranne! Sounds like you have a great weight loss plan, I'm sure you'll make the 50's before the big day!

tinneranne2 03-03-2017 09:53 PM

Thanks bloomin! Sorry to hear your week was less loss than normal. Maybe that means you're in for a satisfying whoosh next week!

I've been weighing between 161.8 -163 since February 19th and it is annoying me. Today was a 163 day. I'm still eating 1400 calories a day but ever since going back to work I haven't lost any weight. I am totally sedentary when not at work, at my job I spend half my time at a desk and the other half prowling the classroom...so more active but hardly burning loads of calories. For the moment I'm sticking with the plan, but if I don't see any movement in March I'm going to regroup and try something new. When I've lost weight in the past I've used a 1200 calorie diet and it worked but felt very restrictive. I should start encorporating exercise...I'm just being lazy. Looks like I'm not going to be making my goal of under 160 by the 14th. :(

bloominbutterflies 03-06-2017 09:08 AM

Thankyou tinneranne, you were right I did have a whoosh. Monday morning and I'm already 166.4 which was my goal for this week. :D What a relief, I get insecure if I can't make my tiny drops. I figure I should be able to do this much.

Hope you whoosh soon too tinneranne!

bloominbutterflies 03-12-2017 10:21 AM

Checking in way early again this week, already made my goal and passed it a little...at 165.8! Hooray :D

Sending you warm wishes for your big day Tuesday, tinneranne!
