Hi Everyone!
My short term goal is to get into the 150's by mid-March for a convention I'm teaching at. Yesterday I was 167.6 and today it went up to 167.8. I've been eating less than 1000 calories a day and try to exercise every day. But even at that it's two steps forward and one step back. That's just the way our bodies are, I guess. Got a fitbit for Christmas and have worked up to 10,000 steps a day. Improving my health is my main concern and the reason I started this journey. I have some serious problems, and some of them are getting to be under control. Don't know if it's possible to reverse my kidney disease, but in general I feel so much better. Have to admit though, it's also nice to begin to look better. Rooting for everyone to get into the 150's!:carrot: |
Gaaa!! Had a whole long reply...personals and all...and one wrong move and POOF!!
Don't have time to repeat...sorry girls... Clif notes are: good start to the day, bad choices at night, up .6. Sigh. Good news is a know what caused it and will use the knowledge to make better choices when faced with that next time. All we can do right?? So today it is 164.0 |
So today, an official weigh-day, I'm at 168.3 from 167.3 a couple of days ago - but, hand on heart, the 167.3 was one of those days (tmi alert) when bathroom doesn't happen first thing, so you weigh your breakfast, weigh your clothes, eat your breakfast, put on your clothes, let nature take its course then weigh, then subtract the weight of the breakfast and the clothes [please tell me I'm not the only one...... ] from the scale weight - so I'm happy to take the 168.3 today!!

midnight - I have to keep my calories above 1000 because my body thinks I am starving it and it will not release the weight. When I do have days like that under 1000, I try to eat about 1100-1200 the next day to average it out. I keep a spreadsheet with my calories and my weight and it helped me recognize that trend.
Plainsgirl - I have done the same thing, usually filling out some form, only to hit backspace and instead of spacing back my word, it goes back to a previous webpage. Frustrating to say the least! Tomorrow is another day to try again! I love this quote - Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels! Rosinante - I usually weigh first thing after I pop out of bed and have emptied the ol' bladder, then I strip. Can't have that fluid showing up on the scale! leopard - look at you go girl! You are doing amazing! |
Good morning Chickas!
Just as I suspected---after a full day of mindful eating/drinking the bloat from the bad decision the night before has fallen off plus the little bit that SHOULD have been gone and am now at 162.2 :D I know that I wont always lose at this rate and that's OK. I will take it where I can! Midnight-I'm with katiam and when I don't eat enough calories my body says "no way am I releasing any fat!" and I end up gaining instead of losing..its maddening and not fair but I it took me years of yo-yo dieting to finally get it though my head. I have to EAT to LOSE. You've got this lady! Rosinante- We all have our "rituals" or at best the routine that best suits us in this weighing ourselves and whatever works for you, well..works for YOU. I find it so easy to just pull myself out of bed, head to the bathroom, strip, relieve myself (for lack of a better term, lol), and step on the scale. But that works for me. Been doing it for years that way.. Starza- You are SOOOO close!! Heres to hoping you get to leave us soon!! But I know that those pesky pounds like to leave and come back at a rate that infuriates!! *keeping my fingers crossed for you!!* Katiam- Thank you for your kind and uplifting words! It really means a lot to me to have someone routing me on even when I feel defeated and ready to throw in the towel... And about this site and replying....this is the THIRD reply I have a tried..lol. Thank goodness the first 2 were just a the beginning before personals. Its maddening!! lol Hello everyone else!!  I have a full day of work, the Y for a quick 21 min 5K training sesh on the treadmill and a 2 min + 15 sec (if I can do it without passing out! ) sesh on the Biggest Loser Jacobs Ladder, and then home for supper and all that jazz. Have a great day ladies!! |
I too weigh myself in the morning before eating or drinking and right before getting into the shower. If I do eat or drink before showering, I don't weigh that day.
Yay Plainsgirl for dropping that bloat weight! It always is nice just knowing it is gone :cheer2: |
167.0 this morning! I'm so delighted!
|
Plainsgirl - so glad your towel is still hanging and you worked through to see a drop!
wolfchan - Congrats on hitting 167! As for me, my rollercoaster car found a small hill this morning - 168.8. But, I am pretty sure it was from the salt in the taco salad I had while we were out running errands. Calories were around 1100, so, it should come down soon! |
163.4 this morning! Yay!
|
katiam and plainsgirl - Yes! I usually get up, "go", strip and weigh - but that day nothing happened at the "go" stage until after breakfast!! :)
|
166.4!! I'm happy and relieved - for nearly a week I've been up and down the 167-168 and getting frustrated. No-one to blame but me - yes, I was still walking, getting my 10,000 steps in ~ but in previous weeks I'd been walking 10-20,000; yes, I was still restricting my calories ~ but in previous weeks I'd been on my calorie budget, with no sneaky extras, and this week had been just over the budget ("only just" just), and the occasional extra cracker in the evening.
A good reminder for when I eventually hit maintenance, a place I've been before but never linger in because of the only justs  |
Sooo....the roller coaster of a week landed me at 162.0 this morning and I couldn't be happier!! It has been a very long time since I worked my program for more than just a few days straight. But I want to see 159.# so bad I can taste it. And right now THAT tastes better than anything I can put in my mouth. :D
Going to get some coffee and get the boy off to school...will come back later before work and catch up with everyone. Thinking good thoughts for everyone here!!! :dust: |
Hi Everyone
I see some familiar names :) Raining :) re: weighing: if I happen to put something in my mouth (eat) I still weigh ... I take the little up knowing that there should be a loss the next day ;) Raining I went on some chart back in 2010 and it told me that the range was 136-124 I think. I have pictures in the 120's and I don't like the look. Kat, :congrat: on no longer being in the obese category, YAY YOU :high: I don't know how many times I've hit that back button and went back to a previous web page it is maddening especially with the way I do personals ;) and I weigh the same way you do, been doing it for several years unless I'm not home them I wonder why I left my scale at home because I feel a tad lost :dizzy: Kat thanks for the tips on eating out, very helpful :) Plainsgirl nice weigh in GO YOU! 150's here you come :high: I've had my poof days on the laptop also :grrr: Plainsgirl the last time I saw the 150's was on 12/01/14 at 152.8. My head got so big and I just blew it. I gained 13.8lbs that month ... crazy right. You'll get to the 150's really soon, keep up the good work :high: and please don't throw in the towel. You've come a long way and You've got this :) Rosinante good job on the scale :high: and I know what you mean on the "just" they've gotten me too :) and Rosinante :congrat: on your weight loss from June to December you did wonderfully, GO YOU :carrot: leopardspots nice weigh in yesterday GO YOU :high: Hoping to not be far behind you on the decades ... You may be in the 150's before February :) wolfchan, good job on the scale :high: hope I can hang out here for awhile also. I was 170.3 yesterday and 169.1 today. I'm with ya on not going back to the 170's :crossed: midnight12, good goals :) I'm hoping to reverse some health issues with weight loss also. We can do it or at least make it better I believe :) Quote:

I was up 0.2 yesterday, and down to 166.6 this morning!
I'm thrilled, as someone brought in (quite literally) a flatbed cart covered in 18" of desserts to my workplace yesterday. I work in an animal shelter, so we get LOTS of food donations from wonderful people around our city, and these were from a catering company that had a surplus. Mini cheesecakes, mini pies, lemon bars, bundt cakes, I could go on for awhile. I managed to eat NONE of them, and wanted to cry as the lemon bars looked soooooo good. I budgeted some WW points for a slice of pizza instead, and this morning I'm SO thrilled that I pulled it off! |
Hi. 168 this morning:) I'm so happy! I can't imagine being in the 150s again, it has been over 10 years. I'm happy to finally be here, but look forward to what's next!!
New short term goal is under 165:) |
