i wanted to wish you both Angela and Sunni, best of luck for the first weigh in!

my weigh in , is tommorow morning!

today is my last chance workout! so far have done 2 workouts. 1 before lunch and 1 before dinner. i was gonna do one more workout after dinner and before bedtime, but feeling sleepy and i want to get up at 6am tommorow. so heading to bed at 11pm! which is a drastic change from my usual 3am! need to change my body clock.
---
i just i ordered some extra gum from the internet! yummy. cant wait for it to come. i'm so easily influenced by biggest loser lol. i did buy strawberry flavour from the store today, but doesnt taste that great. i wish we had watermelon flavour. but we dont. but i ordered other flavours from ebay instead. like tropical. which sounds delicious. and sugar free original bubble gum flavour

i went to the grocery store today. (rode my bike there) and at the beginning, i put all these different chocolates in my basket. 2 terrys orange chocolates, 2 packets of kitkat fingers, 5pack wisba bar chocolates...and said to myself. will have like a piece of chocolate as dessert after dinner, occassionally, and it would be like 50 calories. so thats okay...but then later on something just clicked inside me, and i ended up putting everything back! i think it might have something to do with the fact i was in my workout clothes, (Cause i rode my bike to the store) and had been listening to jillian's podcast! so i had like jillians voice in my head! even though i know i can have a piece of chocolate here and there and its not a big deal. i dont know i just put everything back and thought if i really am craving it. i can just come back later on. as i wasnt really craving chocolate. but the cereal that i wanted. the whole reason i went to the store was to buy cereal, that i was craving (cinamon graham (which is like cinamon toast crunch) whole grain cereal, and whole grain cookie crisp cereal ) - both desserts to eat as a treat occassionally.

so i stuck with buying things that were on my grocery list. even though terrys chocolate was on my list. i scrapped it out! haha

i did buy low fat organic peach yoghurt for dessert, so yummy!!! (Which was on my list and been craving peach yoghurt for ages)

i think its all jillian's influence, all her talk about eating healthy. organic, etc etc. been listening to her podcast everyday hehe. and watching biggest loser! biggest loser show has made a huge impact on my life and being on this challenge too

Had a busy day of church rummage sales, yard sales and errands. I was out for the entire morning and I figured I walked at least an hour of that time.

today's food:

diet dr. pepper
water
coffee with creamer

herbal green tea
2 small grilled pork chops, thin center cut, plain
2 small baked potatoes
2 tbsp gluten free calorie free thousand island dressing on the taters
1 cup of green beans with garlic

large salad with 1 oz reduced fat cheese and 2 tbsp. reduced fat ranch
banana
herbal iced tea

*I still have a few hundred calories for the day and if I feel like a snack I have fresh cranberries, blueberries and strawberries, yum!

Sunnigummi 09-19-2009 09:25 PM

Echo, you are my new hero - TWO papers published? Holy crap, lady! You're on fire! That would be enough for my committee to go "pass" without even listening to my talk. Haha. :) Good luck with everything. PM me if you need some support.

Good for you on putting those treats back! I try not to go grocery shopping when I'm hungry. Especially Costco, those jerks put out samples of delish

Angela - Your emotional eating is um my regular snacking. Don't worry about it, chica. Like you said, tomorrow's another day! You'll get back on track (you betta, we have weigh-in!). Hehehehe, just kidding. :D

Good luck to both of you with weigh-in! I guess I'll weigh-in tomorrow. Don't think Monday would make a diff over Sunday.

Hydra - Good job on the walking and the cals for today! You've been doing really well lately - go you! I'm inspired! :)

Lunch - homemade fried rice (350 cals)

Snack- 1 trail mix bar (140 cals), 1 slice multigrain bread with 1 tbsp homemade guacamole (85 cals)

Dinner - 1/2 CPK bbq chicken pizza (750 cals)

Total comes out to 1906 or something. That's alright. I was really hungry today after that hike. We were hiking for 3 hours!!! It was up in the mountains and we were in the clouds (cloudy day) at the peak. Really beautiful to be surrounded by wilderness (except for the spiders, ew). So I thought I'd be industrious and fill it in on fitday. Turns out, according to Fitday, 3 hours of hiking 4.2 miles is about 1000 cals. I just had to snort. Come on. 1000 cals? Pish. I sweat more when I play tennis for an hour. Oh well. I was really good about not eating until dinner time...that is until I sat in the car and we had to drive these hairpin curves to get out of the mountains and I got dizzy and nauseous. That's when I ate the bar. I felt better afterward, so I figured it must've been hunger that caused it.

Alrighty, off to eat my pizza and then probably shuffle off to bed. :) 'Night, ladies. Talk to you all tomorrow!

A day behind here.

Yesterday,
turkey sandwich for brkfst
fast food lunch, unforeseeable circumstances
left over pot roast, potato and carrots for supper
snack at football game, 6 nacho chips
But I got in a good workout, I'm keeping stats for my son's high school football team so I walked up and down the field for 4 quarters.

Today was bizarre, had to go to work then to funeral.

Turkey sandwich for bfkst
pre Husker game drink for lunch (just 1 bloody mary)
1 bowl of chili with crackers at half time
WW pizza, fresh tomato and 2 slices leftover bacon for supper.

I must get back on the wagon tomorrow, this weekend has just been to hectic.

Thanks Angela!!

your last chance workout sounds good to me!

have you guys heard about how when you exercise, your electroylytes are off balance abit and you retain abit of water, so if you see a slight increase in weight after working out intensely. thats why. i heard something like that from jillians podcast.

good job hydra! you're being so consistent. well done. :cheer:

good job shcirerf! :bravo:

here are my stats :)

week 1 weigh in:
starting weight = 168 lbs
current weight = 164.2 lbs
pounds lost = 3.8 lbs
percentage weight loss = 2.26 %

(i changed my models clothes even though i'm 0.2lbs off hehe)
the look is inspired by Jillians skinny jeans and black turtle neck top with sexy boots look from season 7. but the website for the virtual model didnt have sexy boots :( lol. i'm tall, so i would never wear high heels that high, i wouldnt be able to walk in them! haha but they look really good on jillian.

Cape Breton Chick 09-20-2009 10:47 AM

Hey Guys! Wow Echo.. we totally kicked it in this thread in a short period of time hey! I can not thank all of you ladies enough because without this thread, but more importantly the woman who are a part of this thread, I don't know if I would have gotten as far as I did in a month.. You ladies RAWK! lol I thank God everyday for placing me here and for placing you all here too! lol
Echo you kicked your first weigh in.. Way to Go!!! :woohoo:I on the other hand.. am a lil worried.. I have not gotten in enough water and I was slack yesterday n Friday, and didnt fall off the wagon but lost my grip on the sides there for 2 days...lol the scale this morning is showing gain of 1.4pounds:eek:... I am hoping with these workouts I have planned for today and increased water intake I will flush it out by morning.. I am a little discouraged as I was kickin it for a whole month.. I am prayin' that things will even themselves out.. and I know this was my first offical week of adding in the exercise... so it was bound to happen..:exercise:
I am not letting it throw me off though, if anything it is just driving me harder towards finding a better way to make it come off next week...

Thanks again ladiesss :grouphug:
