Hey ladiess!! .. wow I am so digging on that card game and that baklava recipe.. lol now how many cal.~ in a serving of that? :dizzy:
I am going to try to sleep tonight... these antibiotics I am on apparently cause sleeplessness and I was up till after 1am last night and was wide awake by 530am..I got up and went for a half hour walk and then I worked out hard tonight too with Cardio Max.. was so happy I got through the whole thing without having to pause for a 20 breathing break lol.. :yay: K so here is my day Breakfast - 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg scrambled, 1 pc multigrain bread and 1/4 tbsp peanut butter and 1/2 cup blueberries (337cal.) Morning Snack - yogurt and 1/4 cup harvest crunch (135cal.) Lunch - Slimfast Shake and 2 cups air popped popcorn with nacho seasoning (201cal.) Afternoon Snack - 19 mini vegetable garden breton crackers, cheese stick an apple and a cup of coffee (254cal.) Supper - Turkey Breast and a small sweet potato (279cal.) Total Calories Eaten today 1,205 Got in my 2liters of water too! |

Oh Ang, I'm sorry you're not getting enough sleep! That was me the week before last and OMG it wipes you out! I used to exercise more to get me tired enough to just pass out and I would STILL be up. My mom used to say that if you are super tired, it's difficult to fall asleep right away and I would always go "um ok mom if you say so," but I felt that statement was really true a few weeks ago. Echo - thanks for the compliments! :o Hee. I started a cooking blog this summer where I take pics and provide recipes of everything I make. I love reading cooking blogs and thought I'd start one of my own. :) I need to take pics of the baklava, maybe I'll make it when I'm at my parents' next week. :) BTW, you've inspired me to kick my own butt in gear and finish my chores. I have to write up two papers and call the photogs for my wedding album. I've been procrastinating as much as I humanly can so it's time to get them finished! :D Calories...ummmm, lessee: 1/2 stick of butter: 400 cals 20 (or so) sheets of phyllo: 1140 cals (GULP) 1/2 cup almonds: 546 cals 1/2 cup walnuts: 523 cals 1 cup water: ZERO (felt nice to add that in there) 1/2 cup sugar: 360 cals 1/2 cup maple syrup: 200 calories (mine's low cal) Total: 3169. I cut mine up into bite size pieces, comes to about 30 pieces. So each piece isssss.... 105 cals. They're small, but this is calorie intensive. I'd cut down on the sugar syrup and make it a little drier to get it under 100 per piece. :) Haven't eaten yet today. Also, I filled in my fitday cals last night after posting on here because I figured I need to get my 2000+ cal day in there and it turns out (I also had a 1/4 cup of raisins and 2 more pieces of baklava) that I made it to 1803 cals. Woohoo!! That's the high end of my new cal range. I'm aiming for 1600 - 1800. This will force me to eat more veggies as they are really low in calories and have a lot of volume. :) Check in with you guys later! Hopefully, I'll have good news with my chore list. :) |

Breffix - instant oatmeal (160 cals) Snack - 3 slices multigrain bread (300 cals), 3 tbsp homemade peanut butter (275 cals) Lunch - 1 cup cooked white rice (200 cals), chicken and broccoli stir fry (375 cals) Dinner - Tomato/onion soup (dunno cals, have to calculate) Total so far: 1310 cals. Still got 300 - 500 for dinner and a small snack if needed. I guess I'll have a banana. |

-- what papers are you working on? what do you do for a living?- today has been quite bad food wise and exercise wise. i feel guilty taking time out to do exercise, cause i feel i should be studying 24/7. but the lack of exercise is making me feel down. and at dinner i think i over ate aswell. i'm feeling very overwelmed and stressed now about my exam - omg i have 9 days left. 9 days seems so little. part of me just wants to get it over and done with. part of me is so scared that im not prepared. tommorow is a fresh start though. going to start waking up early. going to bed early. i'm planning on going for a bike ride first thing in the morning to the grocery store which is 1.9 miles away from my house. so there and back will get 3.8 miles of bike riding.. i really fancy some cinamon grahams cereal (i think they are a little similar to cinamon toast crunch). and wanna buy some snacks. like fruit yoghurt maybe, and hazelnut latte sachets. and terrys chocolate orange hehe anyways my confession today. my confession: Fri 18th: breakfast - 1 lamb patty (216 calories), i slice of multigrain seeded bread (120 calories) snack - cheese puffs (79 calories), frisps (cheese and onion flavour - 152 calories) dinner - 1 and half roti (250 calories), 2 lamb patties (432 calories), salad (50 calories) lamb curry (100 calories), yoghurt (50 calories), i small lamb chop (226 calories) dessert - 30 calories (sweet cottage cheese thingy). total calories for dinner = 1138 total calories for today: 1705 calorie deficit - 0.08lbs |
Hey ladies.. well today was a write off... lol I am tryin not to worry about it because I havent gone way off plan at all yet, and i know today it wasn't too bad ethier because I was shooting for a high cal day today.. but had a craving for homemade burgers.. which are not bad.. but I ate 2 of them and now feel over stuffed so I feel like I was way bad.. lol I seriously didnt even try to count the calories anymore.. I dont think I ate overly bad but I'm jsut having a blagh day...lol
Breakfast - Slimfast Shake Morning Snack - Carrot muffin, and 1 cup blueberries Lunch - 2 graham crackers, an apple and 16g of nuts Supper - 2 homemade burgers..nothing added in just the lean ground beef and herbs n spices and cooked on the george forman grill, plain with jsut real-not processed cheese slices on it .. nothing else.. my fav way.. any other condiments ruin it for me lol, 20 oven baked fries and 1 scoop of protein powder in 16oz of water and I think maybe... maybe later i am going to have some airpopped popcorn... didn't get any exercise in ethier.. agh I know as long as I do not let feeling gross today derail me I wil be fine..this inner ear thing is throwing me with pain today .. liek seriously it feels liek my ear is trying to give birth to something..lol like pressure from the inside out.. and then with these antibiotics I am on that do not liek me sleeping.. lol i am tired n crankity lol .. bubble bath, book and snuggle night I am thinking.. as it is pouring rain outside and theres is a very chilly fall breeze happening with it... but I am going to get up first thing in the morning and exercise!.. I have stayed on plan today even though we had lunch served in at work:
coffee with creamer 1 cup milk fish sandwich with 1 tsp. tartar sauce 1/2 cup green beans 1/2 cup mac and cheese pear diet dr. pepper water, water, water herbal tea, oat straw and pennyroyal today *I plan on dinner being a large salad with FF cheese and reduced fat ranch, some type of hot veggie on the side, tuna or a hard boiled egg on gluten free bread. If I want a snack later I have fresh fruit and lite yogurt. I got a lot of walking in this afternoon. My bf and I were off work and a town near us had a community wide garage sale. We just parked the car and walked all over the place for a couple of hours. |
aww Angela, so sorry to hear you're not feeling well. you poor thing, ear aches are the worse. bubble bath sounds very nice! feel better.

I just defended in March! Woohoo!! Good luck, chica! Are you doing the proposal defense or the final thesis defense? I'm in mol bio, so I had two. The first was back in '07, when I had to present my prelim findings and they had to approve the project. Then my final one was this past March where I defended EVERYTHING I did. Mine wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but I expected the WORST. Best part? 3/4 of the stuff I studied wasn't even asked. :dz: Anyway, glad it's over.
My one paper is crap. The other paper is slightly better than crap. Seriously. I've been dragging on the first one for about 1.5 years, it's about time I get it published. I must say I'm really impressed with your spirit! You're so optimistic and cheery! I was a big puddle of misery by the time I defended. I was cranky and quiet mostly. Everything anybody did annoyed me. Haha. Good luck studying! :hug: |
Hey there ladies... just checking in.. I have not yet exercised but am siked to get to it later today..it has been a long emotional type morning for me here and missed breakfast and only ate at lunch.. will provide all details later this evening lol realized I forgot my 2L water bottle at work yesterday and is having a hard time gettin it down with reg. glasses at home.. I thinkk I am going to have to go over and get it here in a bit.. get in a walk while I am at it.. lol as it keeps me accountable.. basically i fill it in the morning and then yea by bedtime each night I know it needs to be gone..and its been working so far lol... hope you ladies are having a good day and wil catch up with you guys later today :grouphug:

I'm leaving for a hike after I'm done with lunch. It's a LONG drive to get there, so I will have digested enough to get a good hike in. Today's confession: Breffix - 1 cup skim milk + 1 tbsp cocoa powder, Instant oatmeal (300 cals) Snack - 2 tbsp homemade walnut butter, 3 slices multigrain bread (534 cals :o) **I need to stop making nut butters because they're so yummy I can't help myself. Argh. Lunch - Homemade fried rice (still need to figure out cals, I'd say about 350) Dinner - no idea. I'll probably have fruit. Dessert - If I'm not too tired, I'll make a raspberry sorbet. :) Total so far: 1180 cals. Not too shabby... Exercise to be confessed: hike. No idea how long and how many miles...will fill this in later tonight. Hope everyone else is having a good day! :) :hug: |
