Alice didn't like Santa! They put a stool out, I don't think it's politically correct any more to sit on his knee. She liked the grotto though. She asked for 'presents' we couldn't get any more detail than that. Spose i'd better make the most of it, next year she'll probably be demanding Bratz dolls or something vile like that.

but dorothey perkins today i found some 18s that fit just fine, and jeans always get bigger when worn a few times so they should be very comfy in a few days lol.
but yeh i am happy i have lossed a dress size and feel different about myself now. I still have a way to go, but its nice to have a mini celebration, just by myself, purchasing those 18jeans was a wonderfull feeling. ill put up a piuc in the (dress size no.6) thread when its made. :-)

I managed quite a nice pair in New Look which I am loving - they are stretchy :D BUT they are quite baggy round the old tum and bum but snug enough in the legs - half of me is tempted to try a 12, but the other half knows that they wouldn't come up my rugby-player legs :lol: :D

Well we got our decorating done everything christmassy looking.

I LOVE Indian food. You don't find too many of them around here.We had one open about 20 mins from here. They do a lunch buffet. I go occassionally with a Brit friend.I stuff myself and the only healthy thing is the salad.

Must try that cauliflower mash. It was in Oprah magazine.

Still cold here over 200,000 without power. Can't imagine being in the cold that long.

My new neighbours are Christmassy types they have a tree and lights and everything outside it's like Blackpool illuminations.

Ooohhh pretty avatar lights. I feel all Christmasy now. My neighbours have spent a fortune on outside lights - they had quite a few last year but this year I feel fairly confident in saying that you can probably see their house from space.

DH and I decided to be brave and have another at Christmas shopping. We just needed a few things for each other but it was a total disaster. Even on a Monday there were massive queues everywhere. We went in to Matalan and the shopping took 3 minutes but getting out of the store took another 30 minutes - same in Boots!

Then we went in to Sainsburys so I can use the Nectar points that I've been saving up all year on yummy decadent luxuries just for DH's birthday - and they told me I couldn't use them because I haven't shopped in that store in the last three months - except that I have because that's the store where my internet delivery comes from. Apparently its a different 'puter system. D'oh.

The snow has stopped and the sun is shining, it's very strange weather in these here parts! I have to take the car in shortly, it has a recall on it and needs an oil change and they can fix the bloody window that when you press it to go up, it goes all the way down and is a pain in the ar*e.

It's piggin' cold out, I shall be donning hat, gloves and scarves along with my coat, I just about froze lugging in wood for the fire.

Pooh to Sainsbury's Sarah, how can they say yo've not shopped there becasue it goes through a different computer, call a manager or someone and complain...shame you didn't get to enjoy your Christmas shopping with hubs. i'm hoping to do a bit while I'm out waiting on the car, but it's mall shopping which I'm not to keen on...and because it's the only mall on the cape, they'll no doubt be every person who lives here there today, because I've decided to go.

How long do you cook a Sweet potato if im doing it as a jacket potato ? and can i eat the skin lol ? I really dont have a clue i tryed to find out online to no joy.

Good evening everyone

As usual glad to hear all your news.

Well today my period arrived I havent had one for eight weeks. I didn't do a pregnancy test in the end but I was starting to worry a bit, although I didn't feel pregnant in any way that niggle was still there. Not sure what happened to me but at least I feel so much better today. It has even been a struggle to post as I have felt so lousy and low, and I have been a nightmare to live with. Anyway enough of that I am fine now apart from a bit of a sore tummy.
My urge for gorging food has gone and I weighed myself this morning and I was nine stone 8lbs so I am happy.


I can now get back to the Christmas challenge and hopefully get a few pounds off by Christmas. I don't feel Christmassy in any way yet although I have done some shopping. Youngest son was 13 on Saturday what on earth was I doing having a December baby!!

Treez- Usually takes about 1/2 an hour in the oven or 5 minutes in the micro on full. They cook a lot quick than ordinary potaotes anyway. I eat the skin. :)
