I almost wish I like chocolate. I eat it if its bought for me but it wouldn't occur to me to buy it for myself. I do quite like Thorntons truffles (all of them) but give me a lump of gorgonzola anyday....

Kylie, you've probably gone a lot further than this - but have you looked at the Star People website for ideas about weight training. It gives little videos about how the exercises should be done and the little demo screens show what muscles are being exercised. I've just finished mine - I've added a few extras and it takes me about 75 minutes. I can't believe it I EVEN DID SOME ABS EXERCISES!! I never do abs because it has always made me feel sick (which probably accounts for why I look like a weeble on legs).

My problem day is Thursday which is DH's day off. We decided a while back that we need to reintroduce some sparkle in our life by having 'dates' (sounds stupid written down!) Each Thursday we go out to dinner ALONE - and flirt (with each other). We've been pretty much sticking with a local pub which does a lot of unusual fish or trying out the various different carveries - I can have a small amount of meat and a huge plate full of veg plus gravy. Occasionally we have a pudding or starter but we share it and I only have a spoonful.

I think I'll only do BFL fully if DH does it as well. Just doing it alone would involve cooking two different meals which (to me) would make my meals not part of our normal home life. (If you see what I mean.)

Gah!

There's a tiny petite student working with us for the next two weeks. She's just eaten her lunch - a packaged sandwich from Tesco, a bag of Doritos and a Twirl.

I however have been out for a run, lugged a heavy bag of shopping up the hill from Tesco and had a huge salad with a 1/4 of quiche, then an apple and some laughing cow light cheese and crackers.

I HATE her

Erk, death to the naturally skinny ones! My sister was like that.......and then she had kids mwahahahaha!

I've looked at spark people. I have heaps of ideas it's just a matter of putting them together. We have some great power lifting type machines at the new gym, which I haven't been told how to use, and I'm just doing the girly girl program that he sets for all the "fat girls".

I'd never do a program which resulted in us eating seperate meals. Occasionally Col will go out for curry and I'll stay home and have salad, but that's not very often.

It's separate meals all the time for us two! DF is veggie and I need my MEAT! Plus we're hardly ever in together at dinnertime!

Yeah, but your dinner sounds much nicer. She'll probably get spots from the fat and chocolate!

Ooooh no! Even when DH was on regular 'lates' (the 2 to 10 shift) I used to cook dinners in the morning and he used to take his to nuke hot at work and I nuked my hot at home. Left to his own devices he would eat something full of saturated fat and chips every single day. When I met him he was working constant nights and lived on fried breakfasts (often with chips) for all three meals.

That students metabolism will catch up with her 2frus, mark my words!

Gym was packed this morning, at 5.30 am!! The free weights room was literally an obstacle course, I was dodging lifters left right and center. Oh and can people please not position themselves right in front of the dumb-bell rack, makes it kinda hard for others to get the weights they need! some common sense please!

Still, I upped my circuit training to 3 sets instead of 2, took me 50 minutes to complete and I felt pretty good afterwards .

Husband is out of town this week so I'm feeling very much at a loose end. The weekend was nice and quiet though and I must say, my house has never looked so tidy .

I bought some fab shoes this weekend, Carrie Bradshaw would certainly approve. Edit: found a piccie of them! Here they are! Best thing is my previously wide duck feet seem to have gotten smaller and I didn't have to ask for a wider size.

About the student... she hasn't eaten anything else since lunch. I however have now had a big bowl of porridge with an egg... Maybe she's thinking, "Wow! She eats ALL THE TIME! I wish I could eat all the time and stay as fit and attractive as her!" Well maybe not the last little bit but you KWIM!

I was 8st 7lbs as long as I was living with my Mum because her cooking was completely, utterly and totally appalling. (Sample dinner: Semi-raw fish fingers, cold tinned tomatoes and hot tinned potatoes). Within 6 months of leaving home I'd found the best hobby ever - cooking - and gained a stone!

With me it was a combination of stopping smoking and getting married/leaving home, (both of which occured within the same year). Discovering cooking for yourself and, more importantly, buying the foods you want to eat because you can, was the kiss of death for me .

Sorry to hear your mum's cooking was so bad Sarah, can't say the same for my mum, hers was and still is, the bestest!

I never was that thin girl either - I literally haven't been the correct weight for my height since I was a month old. It's my mum's fault of course - because she smoked like a chimeny when she was pregnant with me I was born premature and only weighing 4lbs, so she took me home and fed me every hour on the hour whether I wanted anything or not . I must've been like one of those poor geese that's crammed with food to make Pate de Fois Gras...but in my case Pate de Fois Gras de Bambino .

ONE day the skinny girl inside this fat one is going to make her belated appearence...can't wait til that day!
