Default What a day!!

Well the house is clean(ish), the car is knackered (head gasket) the toilet needs replacing and I dropped my 1lb weight from my balance scales onto the top of my cooker (glass) and smashed it so all in all it has been an eventful day!!
I am using the new computer Dh bought today (well I mean we really can (!!) afford it at the moment )
I shall try to simmer and not let any of this affect my food intake, hope you all had a great weekend cos mine has been quite a strange one

Oh deary me TQ.!
I am very pleased that you did not drop the weight on your toes or foot...I think I would hear the scream from here!
Smiling Sal,how are you? Hope you are feeling betterish today..
Suffolk is cold damp and 'orrible but I have managed to take Holly out for a short walk.It does not seem to have worn her out though, she is running round and round the house with a squeeky soft toy in her mouth....whatever possessed me to buy her that?!
I still have a more-or-less headache and am in grumpy land at the moment. I cannot think of any particular trigger for the low mood that has descended but I feel as if any one were too nice to me I would start off a small stream...not good I suppose it is early days though,in the big scheme of things, having been in hospital for 18weeks I should not expect to come home and be perfectly well.....
On a completely different thought track, does anyone else's dogs like grapes? I am sitting here demolishing a few, which I am completely capable of doing myself, but Holly insists on joining in..
she is very fussy about her fruit...likes Fiji apples and sometimes a bit of pear, but to bananas (don't blame her!) or soft fruit. Strange dog....her favourite lick out the dish is if I get an Indian takaway...but I won't go into that!!!

Here are a few warm-us-up smilies...ta ta for now.

Sal - so what did people at work think to your hair? I'm dead jealous - since my brother and hairdresser (the same person!) pushed off to live in France my hair's been a complete fright! Desperate to find somewhere - the only place I fancied was £90 for highlights!!!!

TQ - sorry to hear of your w/end - our conservatory (less than 1 year old) has sprung not 1 BUT 3 leaks and the people who built it, who couldn't wait to take a big, fat cheque off us say they'll be out 2 weeks after receiving a letter explaining the problem.... (don't even get me started on that one!!!!!!!!)

Teel - my hamster loves grapes - the kids and Dave would kill for a dog but I still won't give in...

My salsa teacher has started up jazz classes again - they start next monday night are great fun and really hard work - kind of like dancing aerobics - that should get me in the 15 stone somethings before Christmas...

I have been very good all w/end (due to cold) and today I have been a saint - it better be a good weigh loss this week.

My dog loves grapes - she plays with them first tossing them in the air and throwing them around and then devours them. She also likes apples, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, peppers to name but a few - anything except dog food!!!

What a horrible day - it's absolutely bucketing down here and Sprog #2 was sick all over my car doing the school run this morning - if it's going to carry on like this I think I'll go back to bed...

On a better note I have been an for the past few days - I'm looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in.

Going to sort out the spare room now - wish me luck...

Not exactly good for the weight/waistline but very good for the soul......

Had a great thai meal this lunchtime -

Hot and sour soup
Green vegetable Curry (coconut full - yum yum!)
Vanilla Ice

Oh and diet coke!

Don't even think about the calories or sins in that!

It did my friend good - (menopausal).
It did me good too!

Well, once in a while....

Once in a while does no harm at all Peacock.

I have eaten not to badly considering I was staying at a fancy hotel where they do it all for you. The worst I did was the booze, story of my life that one. But then I went to bed at 11:30, after drinking about 7 / maybe more glasses of wine and 3 baileys. Most of the crowd stayed up until 4am, a few weeks ago I would have probably done so, but I am learning my lessons and 4 hours of drinking was enough, another 4 would just have finished me off completely.

Would have been as well sitting with them, as I couldn't sleep when I got to my room, was very noisy and hot. I did manage to get some sleep about 2am. Less said about the team building the better !!!!

The hair - a lot of people can't believe I have cut it off. Still not done anything about the highlights. Need to book the appointment soon and get them done before christmas. Although there is very little gray in it, so maybe I should stay with my own colour for a wee while - who knows.

Need to go quickly tidy the livingroom and then snuggle up with Ray and a glass of wine, sorry. Old habits die hard.............

Eat drink and be merry for tommorrow I diet. I will be back on plan like an angel from tomorrow morning. I am not going back into the 16 stones for anyone

Can't believe it is gone 11 o'clock - where has today gone !!!!

Had a row with Steven at the swimming tonight. I didn't go in, as Sean was too tired, last week, for his lesson after playing around with me for half an hour. But Steven wasn't doing anything he was told. He wouldn't stay out of the water until his lesson started, he was climbing on the bars, being cheeky and downright rude to me. So while he was at his swimming lesson I phoned Ray and as soon as Steve was out of the pool after his lesson, Ray took him home, no chips and hot chocolate for him. I walked up the stairs from the changing room with Steven whining that he was hungry. I told him I wasn't listening to him as he never listens to me - made a few people smile. Hopefully he will realise very soon that he is not going to win the battle and that me and his dad are in charge and he will do as he is asked. His teacher told us at parents night that it is a pleasant change to have a child who will take a telling and then behave - think she may have my Steven muddled up with someone else. I don't want to stamp all his character and live out of him, just want him to behave - most of the time and do what we ask.

Just had to get that off my chest.

Eating has been good today, no exercise. My boss was coming down from Dundee for a meeting so I didn't manage to get out - will need to make up for it tomorrow.

Was talking to a friend earlier she has lost over a stone this year, but has stopped. She isn't trying as hard as she was and the scales aren't going anywhere - she is quite relieved they aren't going back up. We were chatting for ages and she is off to try and do something about her portion sizes to see if that will give her a boost before christmas

Am hoping to weigh in tomorrow night. Ray is working until 6, so it really all depends on what time he gets in. There is no way I could take the boys to a meeting with me, not with the way Steven is behaving at the moment - Saturday morning class is looking more likely to be the weigh in this week.

Oh poor SmilingSal.....trouble at the pool with Stephen....hope it is more peaceful today....

It is a dry day here after a really windy, rainy night, so I plan to have lunch and then take Holly out....make the most of no rain!!I seem to be keeping to my 3x20 challenge...I am aware it is more of a stroll than a brisk walk but I do not want to put my heart under undue stress. Unfortunately my dietician has cancelled our meeting by the scales tomorrow, do it another time. I think I have lost another pound but my scales are so unreliable...!
