Keep it up Posy you are doing really well.

Well I got weighed today and the half pound I gained when weighed at the other class has now gone. Hurrah!

Posy I would be thrilled to wear size 14! I am actually thrilled that two pair of trousers (size 18) which were stuck in my wardrobe as they cut me in half (almost literally)now fit me with ease. Yipee!

Delaney 11-12-2002 05:00 AM

Well done Peacock - there's no feeling in the world like getting into something which didn't used to fit is there? I was wearing a pair of bootleg trousers yesterday (which used to be too small) I stretched up to change the lightbulb in the living room and they slipped down - the kids thought it the funniest thing they'd seen in ages and I had a massive grin on my face all night!!:D

Peacock 11-12-2002 06:40 AM

Yay! That's great!

Actually I have about three pairs of trousers which are really too big (and look daft) they are huge on the hips but I cannot afford to buy anymore at the moment. Hopefully, if I behave well over Christmas (yeah right) I can hit the sales looking for a smaller size (dare I even think of size 16???!).

I shall need new knickers too. Thank god for wearing trousers - I walked home from my club last night with an uncovered bum! If I had been wearing a skirt I would have had to keep hoiking my knickers up!

Smiling Sal 11-12-2002 03:44 PM

Am too busy laughing to type.

I too have a pair of those trousers which won't stay up. They are a size 20, a big size 20 but now they are far to big around the waist. I can take them off without unfastening them, and if I am crawling around under desks at work, have to make sure I'm not kneeling on the trousers before standing up - that would be too embrassing for words.

I also have a pair of used to be snug size 22's I brought to go to a wedding reception on the 5th of October. I have only lost 9lbs, but obviously the walking in helping to shift the inches. Am going to try some discreet stiching on the 22's, as it is only the waist that is too big, they keep slipping down and hanging off my hips - not flattering at all.

The 20's are destined to become dusters, but like Peacock I am hanging onto them until I am sure they still don't fit after christmas.

last weeks losses

Me = 3.5
Delaney = +2
Leigh = 2
Peacock = +0.5
TQ = 1.5

Giving us a weekly weight loss of 4.5lb, a new total of 8 stone 5.5lbs

Smiling Sal 11-12-2002 03:49 PM

No weigh in for me so far this week, was too busy living it up (??) in the Crieff Hydro. Will weigh in either Thursday or Saturday morning, Ray changing work sites and will be later home of an evening, so the Saturday class is starting to look good

Posy 11-13-2002 02:37 AM

well done to everyone who lost this week...I really hope I will be joining you all again this week :)

Girls don't convert all your old clothes that are too big now to dusters...remember to save something from when you started so that you can have before and after photographs when you reach your goal :)

Ali :wave:

It is a great idea to save clothes Ali , our ww lady often asks her members to come in wearing their old stuff and it is really inspiring.Too late for me, I can't wait to get rid of em all, I do have some photos...........not many though. i sort them out and as soon as they are too big, out they go, my wardrobe is looking very sparse at the moment but i can manage, good job I don't have a hectic social life :)

Peacock 11-13-2002 05:42 AM

Smiling Sal I won't ask why you would be crawling under the desks... I do it too! I have to get stuff out the safe and also plug stuff into the (Oh bother! forgotten what it is called -) Disk Drive ? Hard drive? It is a tower anyway and you plug things like a flat bed scanner in the back. Well whatever it is , it is under my desk and there I crawl!

Peacock 11-13-2002 05:54 AM

Quite right, Posy. I will keep some old clothes. Girls, those of us with " busty substances" should keep an old bra as hopefully we should lose some from that area. It would be nice to wear something a little smaller than the "Doreens" I have to wear!!

Delaney 11-13-2002 06:49 AM

:lol: I too can't wait to get rid of my trusty "Doreens" - can't wait to go into La Senza and buy something slinky....

That day is getting closer as today I am 16.1 - a grand loss of 5 lbs words can't describe how I feel

:cb: :cp: :jig: :D :cloud9:

tupperware queen 11-13-2002 06:58 AM

way to go melissa!!:bravo: :cb: :cp: :angel: :hat:

Peacock 11-13-2002 07:14 AM

I cannot believe I got excited when Doreen came in other colours than white! I practically live in my M&S version in skintone (not my skintone that's for sure unless I am beige!)

Delaney 11-13-2002 08:30 AM

That's nothing Peacock - mine's been washed so many times it's now grey!! (sorry too much information).

teel 11-13-2002 08:45 AM
