Sorry I didn't post this yesterday - been very busy - can't remember what I was doing but I seem to remember I was busy :dizzy:

I stayed the same this week (16.1) not chuffed but not too disappointed either (bearing in mind I lost 5lbs last week).

Well done on everyone's losses.

Mini Gem - do you think varying your calorie intakes works then? I've been sticking to my ww 26 points each day - I wonder if varying it a bit would help me out - I really thought I'd lost a pound this week you see and when I didn't it was a bit of a shock! Just realised you're to have 26 points per day when you're between 16-18 stones now that I'm just about 16 I wonder if I should go down to 24 (that's what it says in the book) can't be bothered to ask my ww leader as she's a right old bag!!

Have a lovely soaky/bubbly bath Sal, I can't remember the last time I did that - you deserve it.

Smiling Sal 11-21-2002 08:06 AM

My vll at WW put me striaght onto 24 points when I joined even though I weighed, 16 stone 7.5lbs and should have been having 26.

Might be all you need, personally I struggle to eat 26 points a day. I can do it no bother when i'm not counting, but once I start looking at what I am eating I can't eat as much as that.

Go for Melissa, ignore TOB and try just having 24 this week.

Mini Gem 11-21-2002 08:41 AM

Hey Melissa, I know what you mean about not asking your class leader things, mine really annoys me too, so I don't bother. Thank goodness for the net.

To be honest, I don't really know how useful it is to vary your intake from day to day, I need a few more weeks to try it out. However I was inspired by this: http://www.vmcdonnell.net/plats/wp.html
- the Wendie Plan. Basically someone on WW who started changing the number of points she ate each day, which kept her body guessing. Perhaps you should give it a try and see if it does help? If nothing else it lets you really treat yourself one day a week guilt free. That has to be good. :)

Delaney 11-21-2002 09:36 AM

Thanks for that Mini Gem - I'd never heard of that before but I've just read it through and it seems to make sense! I have often had more points at the weekend (like most people) and then cut back a bit Monday/Tuesday and they do seem to be the weeks that I lose 2/3lbs as opposed to the weeks where I've stuck to 26 points religiously and stayed the same. I will go and work out how many I'm going to have over the next week. Thanks for that.

leigh-r 11-21-2002 10:37 AM

Another 2lb gone :) Brings the total to 1/2 a stone :)

teel 11-21-2002 03:48 PM

YO!! Well done to Leigh-r.....huge bunch of smilies to you...
..:D :strong: :bravo: :flow2: :flow1: :cloud9: :goodvibes :D

tupperware queen 11-23-2002 06:11 AM

I stayed the same this week after a text book week too!! No big sighs though, I know it will come off eventually, i did hope to reach the next stone before Christmas and can still do it if i stick to it. So here's me carrying on regardless!!

Posy 11-24-2002 03:20 PM

No loss to report here either
Have to admit to being a little disappointed after all the exercise I did last week, but then again after losing 5lbs last week I suppose I can't really grumble. Just keeping my head down and getting on with the next week :)

Ali :wave:

Smiling Sal 11-25-2002 01:11 PM

Weights for this week, are

Peacock = +1
Me = -2.5
Teel = -4.5
Mini Gem = -3
Delaney = 0
Leigh = -2
TQ = 0
Posy = 0

Giving us a weekly loss of 11lbs, an a new grand total of 10 stone on the nose.

Peacock 11-26-2002 04:11 AM

Actually Smiling Sal I lost 1lb this week (against all odds!). I get weighed Monday night.

Is it just me or does anyone else find that the week they have their period (star week) they are ok. It is the week after that they gain?

teel 11-26-2002 05:37 AM

Good morning to all!
Peacock, I don't actually find I share your problem, just because I seem to have TOY.....regularity is not a word understood by my hormones!!!However, I find it very strange that if I weigh myself a couple of days before the official date with the scales, I will have lost a pound,but when I get to the official weigh in, I have got it back again....!Strange and even more strange ......

:wave: hello and good vibes to TQ, Leigh-r Posy, Smiling Sal,MiniGem and Delaney....:goodvibes: :grouphug:

Peacock 11-26-2002 06:23 AM

I guess it depends on the scales Teel?

I am sorry that a number of you seem to have a horrible leader. Mine is very nice and so encouraging and doesn't make a fuss when some of us have a bad week. She is understanding and joins in the joking that we all do.

One lady had been away because she has a number of allergies. Another piped up that she'd had a bad week because of her allergies to helathy food.. She had had chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!!

I cannot understand why some people only turn up to sign on. This would not encourage me. I understand some people may have to rush off to do things but not everyone. I prefer to stay for a chat with the rest and have a laugh.

Smiling Sal 11-26-2002 08:21 AM

I gain weight the week before my period - I know it is going to start soon, just wish it would get a move on

gained a lb - am not disappointed, only I know the full extent of my eating this weekend.

Peacock I'm with you on the meeting part of the class, I love to stay and chat. Joined a lunchtime meeting of WW, but find I don't have the time to stay for the meeting. It is a ten minute walk from work to the church hall and by the time I stand and get weighed, lunchtime is nearly over.

So I am transferring to an evening class as from next week. Monday night will be weigh in from now on.

Gail (vll) also suggested that I start my WW points counting week from 6pm on a Friday and count honestly all weekend, And then on Sunday evening, work out how many points I have left for the week and divide it by 5 and that will give me my points limit for the rest of the week.

Am going to give it a go this week, if I don't try it I'll never know if it'll work.

teel 11-26-2002 01:10 PM

Hello all,

SmilingSal, I think that sounds like a good idea of vll.Will she still be your group leader when you change to a Monday evening? She sounds like a lovely person...I wonder how Delaney is getting on with TOB??:devil:

Smiling Sal 11-26-2002 02:58 PM

Vll does run the class on a Monday, that's why I'm going to the Monday class as opposed the Tuesday one. Although the woman who runs the Tuesday class seems ok, just not as lovely. Think a good leader who is interested in me enough to help and make suggestions makes all the difference.

I am going to do this with everyone heres help and Gails (vll)

Wonder if Delaney has made it over here yet - haven't heard from her since the weekend. Hope TOB is behaving herself.

For anybody reading this, TOB is not Delaney - just had to make that clear
