Hi Chicks

Hey Veggie, get ya calculator out cause in the absence of Sarah I think you should be doing this ;-)

Tonight I lost 3 LBs so this low carb business really works.

So with the 1lb I lost last week that's 4lb gone towards my hols.

Seriously though, I need some ideas now on this low carb. I would like to find out what kind of amount I can have each day and still lose on. Atkins is a bit drastic but it has given me a boost, and one which I needed.

Anyone recomend a good book, pref a UK one which isn't quite so strict. I have the Eat Fat, Get Thin one but that allows 65 grams per day and I think that may be a bit high for now.

Angry weigh in report

Hi everyone

Well done on your 4lbs Kim that is brilliant

Well my weigh in day wasn't a brilliant one again and I was really depressed about it again...I had stayed the same as last week. I know I shouldn't let it get to me so much but it is really frustrating when I know I am doing everything right...well I was until last week the only thing I know I didn't do right was exercise. I didn't manage to get to the gym because I was working such long hours all last week. so I have to put the static weight down to that, its about the only thing I can blame it on because my eating went really well.
After saying I was really depressed about it, I decided that as I haven't measured myself for such a long time I would do that and see if that could cheer me up any...oh boy did it ever. I looked back through my journal and the last time I made an entry for my measurements was december 29th and they were 51-44-52.5 today they were 46-40-48.5 that is a total of 13 inches that is just amazing...at the end of the day it is the inches lost that I am most interested in so I felt really pleased with that and not depressed about the static weight this week anymore, I feel really good again
Someone else also sent me a website address for a girl who was losing weight and she said the closer she got to her goal weight the more her weight loss seemed to go in cycles...she would have a few good weeks losses and her skin would feel loose then she would stay the same again for a couple of weeks and her skin seemed to catch up...maybe that is what is happening, I have to admit that even though I have had a few weeks of staying the same weight, I do seem to feel slimmer, so that could be exactly what is happening. well it makes me feel better to think it is so I am going to carry on thinking it

Well I'll have to make this short and sweet I have loads to do this evening and I have the house all to myself, hubby has taken son to see star wars so once I have everything done I can watch whatever I want on the tv without having to fight for the remote...that will be a novelty

Have a great weekend everyone

Ali

Losers I applaud you - (am in a dramatic mood this morning) Kim if I didn't like you so much I would hate you, 222 to 178. Just shows me what I could be doing if I could put my mind to it.

To anyone who didn't lose - come on we can do it, We all used to post losses so why not start make that extra effort again. My weight change is on a par with Veggies although a stone on in the last couple of weeks may be a bit of a conversative estimate on my behalf............

One day soon I will stand on the scales again and face up to everything - am doing too much at the moment I know and not leaving enough time for me - but I am working on it.

I'm gone five minutes and you all stop weighing yourselves!!! What happened??????

Come on everyone - jump on those scales and I'll do my usual Monday round up starting afresh next week.

Well... I haven't been as good as I should - I have tried but it was really hard dieting on my own without the support I get here. I started afresh with my diet last Monday - who's going to join me???

Come on girls lets shift a few pounds before we put on those pretty summer clothes!

I haven't heard anything about the slimming club tonight so I am going and hopefully there will be one and lady who runs it will be slimmer of the week having given birth last week.
I will let you know later, all this exercise must be good for accelerating weight loss, pleeeeze!!
