Tesco have a value one for around £20 too.

Can't you get everyone in the office to chip in a bit?

veggie 03-20-2007 11:14 AM

Frus is on my wavelength today with wetherspoons and tesco value! :D

It's the remnants of student life ;) We do love Spoonies though! :D

2 frus cheers for that - funnily enough my mum just rang and told me about Tesco. It is the same price as the woolies one but I may go with Tesco. I will have to have it delivered.

Hello!

I'm going to try and be around a bit more. I have lost motivation.....and gained 20lbs, so lets try and get that back before we gain the rest....with friends!

My eating is reasonably ok, just a bit of tweaking needed, it's the exercise. I am just not motivated anymore. Perhaps the sunshine and blue skies will help!

I'm trying to stay positive, I nearly cried when the nurse weighed me today.

I'm going to the doctor's next week, for a chat about my now sky high blood pressure, and about the whole weight thing.

Argh!

I just want to be free of even thinking about it!

Yay Kyk.

lou1978 03-20-2007 03:44 PM

tah dahhhhhhhhh .. from gumtree... maybe u can just pinch the plate....

"We have a second hand microwave free to anyone who wants to collect it. We have used it for over 6 months in it's current condition - the only thing wrong with it is that the plate doesn't rotate. Our landlady has provided us with a new one but thought someone might have a use for this one.

Pick up only, weekends or evenings.

Hello Kylie!!! You'll have those 20 off in no time.

I'm baking tonight, making another batch of carrot and pineapple cake. I'll do the same again and cut it up and put it in the freezer before I eat it. The slices are about 250 cal each and low GI, which is perfect for a pre-run snack.

Helen do you have the recipe for the cake?

Hello everyone

I am still so tired. I'm really not able for going out both nights during the weekend. What an old goat I sound but really it's true. My eye is sore which I think is the result of being in smokey bars. Roll on no smoking in pubs. They already do this in Ireland and its and absolute joy not to come home stinking of pubs. Mind you moan as I do never stopped me going out did it!!

It was freezing this morning, my two lads came in from their paper round perished. I walk to my friend's house and I stupidly went out without putting tights on under my work trousers. Again I had that feeling I was walking along in just my knickers as I felt so cold. I almost doubled back but kept going. Fortunately I had the IPOD so that helped.

Work was ok but again cold as we have automatic doors and the wind just blew in and froze the you know whats off us all.

I didn't gym as my friend didn't go I'm terrible aren't I. Mind you I worked very hard yesterday and I shall be back there tomorrow.

My father asked me to go into Marks and Spencer and buy my mother some knickers but he pronounces it knicker-ses you have to hear it really to appreciate it. Didn't I forget to go in there after work. I didn't pop round tonight due to my exhaustion!! Tomorrow though when I ring my parents he will say did you get the knicker-ses and I will say awwwww dad I am sorry I forgot and he will say you are some kind of eejit.

Hubby is asleep on the sofa and the boys went to bed fine and early this evening without bashing each other which is always nice.

Glad your all well

Keep warm everyone

Goodnight godbless

Michele

Michele I always enjoy your posts and your dad sounds lovely :)

Hello girls

Welcome back Kylie, we missed you :) Like everyone else says, that 20 will be off in no time when you start back to exercising.

Michelle... hope you're bum is warmer now luv. I hate being cold so I do feel for you. I love wearing jeans but find they seem to trap the cold more when I walk the dogs in the cold so since being here, I've learned it's better to walk in workout clotes, they keep my bum warmer. Sounds like you're Dad is doing well, bless. That's good to know.

Helen, that carrot and pineapple does sound tasty luv. Do you defrost the slices in the mocrowave or let them defrost slowly on the counter?

Peacock, shame about the microwave. I have a spare unused one in the garage, I'd send it to you but it would prob be more than at Tesco's. Prob wouldn't work either, seeing as it's 110v.... Stupid me!

I had another good day at work. had to do a quiz on a video I watched on the computer. I have a whole thick file folder of things to be tested on and policies to learn. I learned how to answer the phone today... supposed to memorize that one...

This afternoon I had my very first mammogram. Not as unpleasant as I thought, but definitely not something I'd want to do on a daily basis. The lady doing it was very lovely and explained things well. Didn't take very long at all and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. The questionnaire they give you to fill out before yuo go in made me laugh though, it had loads about implants...and all my answers were no... I've got enough up there without needing implants, although saying that, I would like my upper bits back...that would be nice.

Jen, you poor thing last night nearly freezing to death on the bike. Uxbridge hey? I was born there, Hillingdon hospital... a long time ago now though :)

Veggie... is the computer working ok now luvey?

Sarah? Busy working? Waiting on Ellie? Snowed in?

lou1978 03-21-2007 03:31 AM

oo i did some of my placements as a student @ hillingdon... on the kids wards of course...
