I'm in...

I have my first weigh in on Thursday, Jan. 5th I hope I can at least come out with a turtle! I have been on a constant binge since about the middle of Dec.. I really don't have an excuse. But on the 2nd, I got back on track and I am going to stay with it. I will begin by writing down everything that goes in my mouth I will exercise at least 3 times per week, hopefully more
I know that we can all do this, we need each others helpbut we will be successful. Just think 2006 is to be our year.

Will post my weight after meeting on Thursday.

Sorry ladies, I can't report a loss...I turtled tonight. (02/02/06) will have to work harder this week.
02/09/06 I did not get to weight in on Thursday...will have to see what next week brings.

Congratulations, Christy! Keep up the good work. I'm trying for at least 3 pounds myself this week. So far, looks good - but the weekend is usually my hardest time.

The weekends used to be hard for me. One thing that I used to do was to treat the weekend like a weekday. Each weekday I would pack up my food to take to work. So on Friday night I would pack up the food I could eat for Saturday breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks. And do the same on Saturday night for Sunday.

It did work as I could only eat what I had packed.

Also what helped me was to look and ask before I ate something "Would this food help me meet my goals?" If not, then I would have to think twice about eating it.

I had to change my dates for weigh in. We are moving our meeting from Thursdays to Tuesdays. Tops had been meeting at the library for 15 years free of charge, but they are putting the computer room where we met and so we had to find a new home. We found even a better place in a house owned by one of our members sisters. She teachs DUI class'es on Thursday nights there and we get it on Tuesdays. Boy are we lucky. We'll have it all set up with tables, a place to store our things, a kitchen for our special meetings, like Christmas and all for no money.I managed to lose 1/4 pound this week. That isn't much but it is really good because I wasn't eating right and this week I did. I won't go into detail, but I'm eating very healthy now. Belle

Thanks for the weekend advice. Great news on your meeting space, Belle. We have no plans for the weekend, and my DH will be prepping for a colonoscopy on Sunday so I don't have to plan dinner that day. Weigh in on Monday night.

My computer at home is still out for repair, so this is my last opportunity to post until Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!

I LOVE VALENTINES DAY MY HUSBAND AND I GO TO OUR FAMILY CHURCH STEAK DINNER,AND A ROSE I HAVE A PHOTO OF TWO YEARS AGO I LOST 90 POUNDS BEFORE VALENTINES DAY.IT TOOK 6 MONTHS WORKING OUT,EATTING FRUIT AND I TOOK 1 DAY TO EAT WHAT I WANTED.I WENT FROM 230 TO 142.TODAY IM BACK UP TO 187 BUT IM WORKING IT OFF AND EATTING MY PEARS.15 POUNDS OF BEFORE THE DINNER & PHOTO WOULD BE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lost 4.5 pounds this week! Off to a great start. I know this won't continue, but it will help. I said I wanted to set my goal at 10 pounds, but I might change it to 12. Hope everyone else does well!

I'm in, my goal is to lose 10 pounds by the 16th, I really want to get off this plateua I have been on since July or August, so hopefully this, along with the contest I am currently running in our group will work.

I'm in. We weigh in tomorrow (Tues.) morn. I've been stuck in the 220's for some time now. My goal is to be the teens by 2/16.

creak - good idea about weekends. Thanks! Weekends are tough for me because my husband's home. LOL
