Good Morning everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend. We had our long weekend last weekend so.....it is off to work for me. Didn't get on the computer much this weekend so thought I would write before heading off to work.

Eleni.....I wish I could swim a lot. I love swimming but really dislike going to the public pools. It would be much nicer just to be able to go out in the backyard. Our weather just doesn't justify the cost of a pool. I know what you mean about eating things we shouldn't when things don't go well. I have done that all my life.....found comfort in food. I am trying to break the habit but it is really hard.

Sherri.....congrats on doing well at the party. It is hard when there is so much food around. How did your picnics go?

Christie....I agree with still having the things we enjoy (like dessert) but just in reasonable amounts. We can't give up everything we enjoy.

Wendy.....I hope you are feeling better. I had gall bladder problems too (had it out last year) so I know it is painful.

Amy....that was great you prepared snacks ahead of time. When the snacks come out....you can pull yours out and not feel like you are doing without and you know how much you are eating.

We had a hot weekend here. I am hoping to get out at lunch today and my friend wants to start running again. I am taking shorts to work so I can wear them if we do run. I don't normally wear shorts so it is a big step for me (especially around people I work with). Supposed to get thunderstorms tomorrow. I better get going so I am not late for work. Hope everyone has a great holiday today and I will talk to you soon.

Just stopping bye to say hello.It looks like everyone is out enjoying themselves and that is great.We are going to the movies again and then later hubby is going to grill our supper outside.
Have done 30 laps and 30 minutes on treadmill so exercise is done for the day.It's nice to be off and be able to do them first thing.When I get home from work I really have to force myself

Hi everyone,

I had a much better day today. I didn't go over I am actually under with 23 1/2 pts for the day. So that is good. I will have some popcorn later.

I went to my parents for a picnic today. Glad today was the last day for that for the week.LOL
I brought my measuring cup, my ff hot dogs and 2 slices of lite wheat bread for the hot dogs instead of the rolls. Cut back on my pts for the hot dogs and bread. That helped a lot. Then I made the scalloped potatoes again and green bean cassarole. I love that stuff. That is low in pts also because the beans are free.

I didn't exercise today. But yesterday and today I did the ab roller. I bought one today. Eleni it sure does make your stomach hurt doesn't it. I am hoping it helps me flatten mine. I did it 3 times today and did a total of 25 of them. I can only do 10 at a time. There was no book with it though. Eleni was there a book with yours to tell you different things you can do with it?

That is how I did today. The scale is still the same but at least it isn't up. I am going to eat lower pts for the rest of the week in hopes to lose. But I am not going to eat less than 25 pts though. I don't want to gain weight again.

That is great that you are going to start running. I can't do that. I can start to jog a little then I have to stop.LOL Not good at it and I get winded real easy. Keep up the great work.

Amy,

How did your weekend go with the snacks you brought. It sure does help to think ahead. That is what I did and it paid off.

Yesterday I didn't do good because the picnic was here and I couldn't really get away from the food. I did bypass a dessert today that my mom made today. But I did have a little taste on the end of my fork but I stopped at that. I just had to see what it tasted like.LOL

Keep up the great work. It has been cold and damp here and raining for a week. It is supposed to rain next weekend also. That is when we have my daughters birthday party outside with about 60 people coming. I hope it doesn't rain on saturday. We have a big garage but it will be aweful and the kids won't be able to play with everyone in the garage. We opened our pool last weekend. But it hasn't stopped raining and gotten warm enough to use it. Wish I were down there with you doing laps with you in your pool.

Have a great night and tomorrow we can all get back to normal again with our eating.

Sherri I don't do the ab roller.I have the ab doer.The ab roller is the one you get on knees and roll back and forth.My husband does that one.The one I have is where you are sitting and go sideways,forward and backwards,And then go in a circle.I have taken my work belt up one notch.It really works the stomach and I have stopped having backaches at night since I have been doing it.I try to do 20 minutes every other day.I ruin the tapes that came with it.Taped over it by accident but I had learned the moves.I use my little clock and set the alarm for 20 minutes.
