Whew! Good thing you guys aren't looking for perfection, since my pages are nowhere near that. I'll be mailing mine out tomorrow to you all, and Tiffany, I hope yours gets there ok. I mailed you a card from Chicago, and hope I had the right addy.

Can't wait to get all your pages! This is going to be so much fun! Oh, by the way, Mary said she can't believe I chose that particular photo of her, and to tell you all that Caylin was standing right beside her. She doesn't want you to think she's weird for holding what she's holding. Also, the outfit that I'm wearing in the photo of Neal and me clashes with my color scheme, but it was the only really current one I had of the 2 of us together. I know you gals wouldn't mind.

I'm so excited to see all your pages! They will all be great. They are to reflect each of us and I don't think we have a perfect person in the group! (Sorry if I offended anyone). I want to see people pages and not perfection. I'll be mailing mine tomorrow if all goes well with the weather.

Did you ever have one of those days.....I went to Wal-Mart and purchased 5 large bubble wrap envelopes to mail my pages and my debit card was declined. They said my card was not valid. This lead me to have to drive to the next town (the nearest location of my bank) and I found out that my card was fine. Since it's a 45 minute drive from my bank to my house and I still didn't get my bills paid and groceries purchased, I had to rethink my schedule. By the time I got home, it was too late to get back to the post office before they closed. I will go to the post office in the morning to try this all over again. BTW, I checked back with WalMart concerning my card and another cashier advised me that many of the card readers were having problems and it angered several people. I wish I was told that they were the problem, it would have saved me some time and gas driving to Russellville.
I'll confirm the mailing tomorrow.

Norma...your day sounds like the way my week has been going. Needless to say I didn't get the pages mailed, sorry. But...(there's alway sa but in there isn't there?) I do plan on getting them mailed Friday morning. I have a busy day tomorrow shopping and errand running so can't get to the scrapbook store to get copies-I made a new page, lol! Wasn't happy with the first one and didn't want to do two after all. So put the family on one. As with Norma, I will confirm Friday once I mail them to let you guys know to be on the lookout but there shouldn't be a problem.

Norma..Same thing happened with me at Wal-Mart. They declined my credit card, I asked her to let me try again...and she did. When I told her I wanted to try again she was not so nice. I left, went to another store and used the card with no problem. So I KNOW their card readers are bad here too.

I wish I had done the pages...I want to see them.
Maybe next time....

Hello Ladies...

SUE & NORMA...they have been having trouble with the ones here also. My debit cards not been declined but it took forever one day and I had to swipe it several times. The girl said they've been having problems with them. I don't bother with writing a check anymore because they started that new thing and run the check thru and then give you the check back...no sense in wasting a check.

JANE...THANK YOU! I received your pages today and they are GREAT! Funny thing and I have been laughing all day about it...I didn't even think to put my name anywhere, or anyones, lol! I don't normally journal in mine because I know who I am, lol. So wasn't thinking about doing it for you guys..doh! I like how you journaled though, it looks nice. Oh well, maybe the next one I will do better, lol.

I DID get my pages mailed today! And...I decided to not do a different one after all. I just went ahead with the ones I had already made. You guys may need to trim it some. The way they printed the pages is kind of goofy. The side has yellow to it for some reason...don't think they put it all the way to the edge of the printer, plus it cuts off a little at the bottom. Anyway, they are done and sent so you guys will probably get it Monday I'm thinking. Well, except for Tiffany. I did do priority on yours so well see how long it takes. Just wanted to let you know.

Cristi - aww, thank you for your kind words. I'm not very good at scrapbooking, but I try to put my heart into it. As you can see, mine were all family, but that's mostly what my life is all about. Well, family and the other things I journaled about. I can't wait to get yours! And the others, too, or course, when they get mailed. Not to worry about the edges of yours. If they need trimmed, it's no problem. Can't wait to see them!!

Sue - maybe you can get in on next year's pages. Or depending how long the others take, maybe if you hurry, you could still get in on this year's, lol.

Jane...I do think you did a good job. And I like the green and pink together. Especially the green paper. When I first looked at it I didn't realize it was shimmery...really pretty.

That would be great SUE...if you could join in. I almost wasn't going to send my pages because I thought about doing a different one when we get our Christmas pictures back next week. But I was late in sending them as it was so...

How's everyone else doing? Did you get yours mailed or are you working on them? Can't wait to see them.

Okay, since I forgot to write names and such on the pages thought I would fill you ladies in here.

The tiny picture of me and Vince (DH) was before we married back in 1999. The other small one is in 2001 I believe. The picture of him by his self was taken a few months ago when we were going to sell the house...he is in the new house we were going to buy. Me on the bleachers was taken last December when we were in Georgia for Josh's graduation. The one above was taken about 2 weeks ago and while it looks like I am hurting Ernie dog, I'm not. I was holding his head so he would look towards the camera. Poor puppy...didn't realize you can see his eye when he was sick. I didn't like that picture but it was the most recent of me. Next page DD (Carrie) eating her munchos, lol. That was while we were in Arkansas at the cemetery last year. The one below is of her on her 22nd birthday this past Jan. Jason is on the black and by his new car he bought a few months ago. I must say, he has lost about 35 pounds since then and Carrie has lost about 15. And then of course there is my soldier son Josh. The top one is graduation day and the bottom one was while he was training in CA. Anyway, that's the family. You'll see a better picture of me and Vince together when I send Christmas cards in December. He looks like Santa with that beard...not one grey hair on his head though, funny. Anyway, thought I would share.

Thanks Cristi! This will be helpful when the pages get here. I think I'd recognize everyone in your family, but the newer gals wouldn't. Also, it's fun to know the circumstances of each photo.

I am late to this party, and didn't get to read each post...but have any of you seen "The Book of Me"? It's all about journaling about one's own life, in just the way some of you have mentioned.

That's the author's blog
