Tina - love the idea! I was actually thinking about doing another picture and seeing if I could tell a difference since the one on the boat, just for myself so, why not put it out there for everybody! Well hope you did well on the treadmill today and will find your routine soon!

I am still kind of fighting this weird head thing so may not see you in the morning I am trying to get some extra sleep today and have a call into the doctor. Will see ya'll over the weekend! Take care everyone! Erin

Hey girls sorry I wasn't here yesterday. It was a really hectic day for me in several ways. First of all our a/c went out at home, second it was a very busy day at work, third it was a busy day with my Military Family Support Group, fourth we had football practice again last night, and last but for sure not least I was fighting with myself over the choices I had made on Wednesday. My last post commented on not doing so good but not totally blowing the day and was planning on grilled veggies and chicken for dinner. Well that did not happen. When we got home the a/c had gone out and it was tooooooooo hot to cook so we decided to go to Quizno's for dinner and I could eat pretty healthy there. Yeah that didn't happen either, my husband should have been driving because under my control the car turned into Taco Bell. My calories for the day ended up being 3107 and fat grams 164. After the binge I felt guilty so I went home and forced myself to do 20 minutes of exercise. Well yesterday I was really fighting with myself over all that I had done. I started a new thread to pour out how I was feeling at the time. Here is the link to it.
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91745

Hope everyone gets a good laugh cause now that I have gone back and read it I do believe the person in me that wrote it was about ready to go over the edge.

Default Happy Friday!

Good morning chickies! I hope you're found well today and full of calorie burning energy! I know I want to be...hehehe! Nothing much new to report, I've been treking away on the treadmill since tuesday and being good a getting the recommended water intake down plus a couple of glasses more. Don't ask how I made that possible, usually I'm choking down what have to get down. I so want to get my second daily exercise in, but haven't been able to defeat that monster yet.

Shyla, I'm glad you like the idea! I figured it would add a little excitement. Looking forward to seeing you! So far I picture this elf girl with twins all day...LOL! Thanks for the congrats about the exercise btw. How about yourself? Are you going to meet your weekly goal?

Erin, so glad to hear you're in too! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful and noticable difference! I can't wait! I hope the doctor does something for you...you poor thing you. Have a good rest and relax!

Louie, it's funny because when you pop in I literally picture your head poking through the door way to say hi. Looking forward to seeing you walk through the door way and taking a seat for a few on the weekend. Have a great day also!

Will someone give this woman a chair! Robbin, I looked at your new thread. And I gotta say I love it! Now that's some getting down, getting real with yourself expressions. It takes some bravery to really let that out, but as you can see...you're far from being alone in that category. Hope you're standing back on top of the edge today!

Here's to having a wonderful day girls! I hope it's everything you want it to be!

Hi Ladies...Sorry I have been MIA the last couple of days. Been under the weather since Wednesday afternoon. Thought it was because of the heat and humidity and not drinking enough water, but think I caught a bug instead. I haven't done a thing except sleep, drive the FD to vollyball practice and back to bed. Hoping to be back into the swing of things by Monday.

Tina...Great idea about the before and now pictures. Will see what I can come up with by Thursday.

Sorry this is short, but I'm going back to bed. Will try to get back here tomorrow and do some personals. Hugs to you all!

Hello Girlies!!!

Well as you can see, I've been MIA for quite awhile, and I also have a new screen name, aka michellerp LOL! I've had some problems with that account, and also lately we've been having computer problems, which the tech will be here Sunday morning to see what's going on with our computer and cable. I'm sorry I just dropped off, but I went through some problems for awhile, I was very down and depressed, and just didn't feel like talking to people, I'm sorry! Sometimes I feel very overwhelmed trying to keep up with all of the personals, and then other times, I feel like I drag people down when I'm being a downer. Anyways, I'm back and happy to start chatting with all the girlies again! About two weeks ago, I pulled a muscle in my lower back, and I've been in so much pain and pretty much living off of my 800mg Motrins. It's been a little depressing, because I can hardly walk at times, let alone any exercising. Yesterday, my mom had a very major surgery up at our big university hospital in Portland, and they had to replace a put a new steel rod, steel plate and kadavar??? bone in her left leg. Since she's also on blood thinner, she lost a lot of blood and they had to give her blood during surgery and still might have to give her more before she's released to go home. This summer has been very busy with my younger DD. First she had a friend come visit us from Maine, and she had never seen the west coast before. Then Brittany flew back to Maine with her for a week and had a blast! She was home for two days, and now she went with another friend and her family for a week to California. Well I've gone on long enough and I hope all of you are having a good weekend! I'll talk with you again soon.

Morning ladies! Well scale posession has resumed in this house, i am planning and exorcism today if i can find the right scale the old digital is going in the garbage!! The dial scale showed down a little but the digital had up a little, down a little up a lot down a little. SO WHO THE BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP KNOWS!!!!! I tried on some clothes again that were a little too tight to wear just a few weeks ago but now are getting loser. So i am hoping i am still making changes even though the scale is not showing it!

Louie - glad to see the fly by again! Hope you have a chance to catch us up on what is going on over the weekend!

Robbin - ABOLUTELY LOVED THE POST!!!! I have felt the same thing so many times!!! ONe of the responders hit me about where i am, trying to live with both sides of me! I know the evil twin is going no where fast and unless i learn to let everyone live in harmony WE will never get where WE need to be! I know you (all of you) can do this Robbin! You need be a little more forgiving of the evil twin sometimes and it makes the angel a lot less depressed!

Tina - you'll get that second exercise before long, You have done amazingly well at getting back on routine after vacation anyway so keep taht positive outlook going and you'll get there!

Cheryl - hate to see a bug has caught you! hope you can kick it soon! At least the resting keeps you from eating!

Michelleme - HOWDY CHICK!!!! so glad to see you back! I have thought of you often as i know others have and am so glad to have you back in the swing again! Sorry to hear about your mom and hope she is well on the road to recovery soon! Sounds like your daughter is having a traveling summer! Lots of fun! Has that given you and hubby some good alone time? Refresh my memory, do you have other kids? Hope to hear from you again soon!

Gotta run, my daughter and her friend that visited overnight are getting a little out of hand!! Hope ya'll have a great weekend, we have swim party and shopping to do today! Whoo hoo me in a bathingsuit at a Country club, I am so excited!!!!! NOT!!!!!!

Default Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday ladies! For some reason I'm excited about it! I gotta ask you all something. After being so dilligently careful with my exercise and my food choices all week I was faced with a bad one this morning. Tell me if you all wouldn't do the same? I wake up this morning to my husband about to walk up the stairs with breakfast in bed for me. He didn't quite make it, I was already up and on my way down...must had something to do with the fire alarms going off...hahaha!! Anyways, it was something that we used to enjoy together before...french toast with peanut butter inside with drizzles of sweet milk over it. And to top it off he drizzled I "heart" U with the syrup. I felt torn cause I really want to be back in the saddle again but how could you turn something like that down? I couldn't! But however I am still upbeat and happy about my week! Make sense anyone?

Cheryl, sorry to hear you've got bit by a nasty bug. Get a great rest and hope to see you up and running soon. I'm glad you like the idea too! I'll be looking forward to your submittance. You've done so great!

Hi Michelle! Wow, quite the summer you've had! It sure kills to have your back outta whack, take it easy and get it on the mend. And I hope your mom is doing okay and has a speey recovery along with a healthy one. I know how much you worry over her. It is good to see you up and happy! Glad you popped back in!

Erin, okay..granted I missed a few weeks while away, but did I miss why you're weighing on two scales? It's so sucks that they are not coinciding with one another. I hope you're able to figure something out with the two. Have fun at the pool! I wish I were you today!

I'm off to the treadmill! Have a great saturday everyone!

Good Morning Girlies -- Well it's supposed to be a hot one here today, about 95F! I absolutely hate, did I say hate, the hot weather!!!

ERIN-I have two daughters, but the older one is married and out on her own. Her and her DH have been living with his parents for almost two years now, and they got their own apartment and will be moving in next Friday. I know what you mean with the scales reacting so differently from each other, but the one I bought at Costco last year has been totally acurate every time, and it's only off by one pound from the doctors office, so I think it's a keeper.

TINA-Your DH is so sweet! I don't think I could resist what he did for you either, and I think you did just fine. Since you have been working so hard all week, I think you needed to treat yourself. Do you have one cheat meal or cheat day a week, or do you stay OP every day?

Oh yah, what has happened to Lois and Linda???

Ladies, just a quick fly-by. I've been posting here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...77#post1376677 about feeling like I'm starving myself. So I've got to make some adjustments.

Well, gonna run. Think I may drop the kiddies off at my mom's so I can run to the grocery in peace. We are having friends over tonight, so want to go get some snacks & whatnot.

Will post more soon! Glad to see everyone posting again, even if that makes it harder to keep up when I'm MIA. I guess the answer is, for me to NOT be MIA! LOL

Bye for now, girlies!

Hi Girls...I woke up at 10 am feeling so much better. Can't believe I selpt that late, I'm usually an early riser and since I slept most of yesterday away, I was just surprised. Guess my body needed the rest. My hubby brought home the kids quilt and the lady that quilted it, did a fabulous job. I have a few tucks around the edges, but once the boarder is on, I don't think it will be noticed, at least I hope not! Things like that really bug me. This afternoon, the FD and I went and saw "Snakes and Plane", or something like that. It was really good, especially if you don't like snakes or flying!!!

Tina...What a sweet hubby you have. I would of done the same. Enjoy the breakfast and exercise tomorrow. You have done just awesome and I know your hubby is so proud of you, as we are of you!!!

Michelle...It is so nice to have you back with us. We missed you!!! Hope that your Mom is on the mend real soon. OHSH is one of the best if you need surgery. Your Mom is in good hands. Sorry you are having the hot weather. It was pretty decent when we were there a couple of weeks ago. I thought about you when I was in the Portland area. Glad to hear your daughter is having a great summer traveling. Michelle, Lois and Linda are still with us but, Lois just sold her house and is busy moving into another. Linda has a work project she is busy with for the next couple of weeks. They will be back soon, we are hard to forget. LOL

Erin...Get yourself a good digital scale and go more by how your clothes feel instead of the scale so much. If you are exercising and toning, the scales won't keep up as much as your dress size goes down.

Shawn...Hope you have a great evening with your friends.

Well girls, have a good evening and I'll chat with you tomorrow.

Hi Girlies...again lol! ~~~ Yes it's still me, and I apologize for changing my name again, but a moderator was able to get my username changed to the way I wanted it, without all of my initials, so I have my old account back again. I guess the main thing is that I'm back lol!

CHERYL-Thank you for your kind welcoming words! I wish I could have met up with you when you were out here; that would have been fun! We had been having some really great cooler weather for awhile, and this horrible hot weather just started up again yesterday. It's so hard to be motivated when it's just so hot out! You are so right about OHSU being the best place my mom could be. I know she's in very good care and getting the best care and treatment there is!

I hope all of you have a very wonderful evening and we'll chat again tomorrow!

Good Morning Gals !!

Just poured myself a cup of java, so thought I better take a few minutes to try and catch up with you all. Yesterday I managed to do just about nothing and get caught up on some much needed rest.

Today..who knows what the day will bring But I have tomorrow off..yippieee..my boss told me under no circumstances was I to come into the office on Monday. Yes Mam

Robbin ~ yahooo the 20s, you so deserve it. Good for you for staying on track on getting through the 30s. BTW I love your post on multiple dieting personalities..I think I have those as well

Michelle ~ welcome back !! Good to see you posting again, it has been a rather quiet few months and it is great to have you back.

Cheryl ~ sounds like you needed to catch up on some sleep like I did. I think I had about a 2 hour nap on the couch yesterday and still went to bed at 10 last night. But I certainly feel better for it today. Hope you have a great Sunday.

Shyla ~ hope you had a great evening with your friends. Starving yourself..hmm that is not a good feeling. Hope you get that all sorted out

Tina ~ what a sweet thing for your hubby to do. I think I would have done the same and enjoyed it. And knowing you, you have probably already worked it off twice on the treadmill

Erin ~ sorry to hear that you are still battling with those scale but definately sounds like you are have some NSV with the clothes fitting better. So how was your day at the country club ?? Hope it was enjoyable.

Ryanmi ~ where are ya girl ??? Hopefully you are doing okay, I think the last note I read from you was about the fact that you were back on steriods because of the weather etc.. hope you are doing okay

Meowee, Robsia, Tricia, TeaHoney, Lois (hopefully I haven't missed anyone!!) - hope you are all doing well

Okay ladies I am off to conquer the day. Hope you all have an enjoyable one and I will talk to you again soon

Hello, Hello, Hello...

Sorry I have been MIA- I actually had typed a nice long post the other day, but the stupid network at work froze and I lost the whole thing...Ughhh, technology!

Lets see...what has been going on?? Well, the walking pneumonia is going away-I think?? I am done with the steroids and finishing up the anitbiotics this week...and have been coughing up stuff (eewww...I know, sorry!) like crazy! I believe that, as gross as that is, it's a good thing, so I'll take it! I have been feeling much better as well, so that's a plus! Work has been crazy- this week and next are the busiest of my year-opening weekend is next weekend, so I'll be on campus pretty much all weekend, and late most nights this week and next...but then things should level back out! I honestly don't even mind-I love the start of the semester...what I need to do though, is get my butt in gear and get my syllabus ready for the classes I am teaching! The time has gotten away from me and now I am just out of time! Oh well...somehow it will all get done!

I think that many of you know from previous posts that I have been taking care of my grandmother over the last 10 yrs...well, she is not doing well at all, and I think her time is almost here...she is down to 53lbs, has not been eating for the last 5 days, refuses food, is pretty much out of it and very lethargic, and as if that wasn't enough, she has a gangrenous (sp?) foot. Hospice has got her on morphine patches and is keeping her comfortable, and has told me that the end very near. Part of me really is hoping so, just because she is 95, and has had no quality of life over the past few years, and has suffered enough, but part of me knows that when she does go, there will be this huge void in my life. The last 10 years, outside of work, I have lived my life around her-no vacations, I quit grad school because things w/her always came up, I've put her ahead of myself and anything else in my life. I really "lost" her a few years ago when she stopped recognizing me and developed severe dementia, but now, in a way, I'm losing her all over again...and her timing couldn't be better-right when school is starting! On one hand, thank God, because I will have something to keep my mind busy---on the other hand, I secretly think this is her way of getting back at me-by dying at what is my busiest time of the year! As terrible a joke as that is, if you knew my grandmother...

Anyway...

Robbin, CONGRATS on hitting the 20's!!! And I agree w/Louie, I love the other post you did...sometimes it's good to just get it all out there! Obviously, it helped you...

Michelle, I'm glad you are back-alter egos and all! Sounds like you've had a busy summer. I'm glad your mom is doing OK so far...

Cheryl, Good for you catching up on the sleep- I have done that pretty much all weekend...sometimes it feels good to be lazy! "Snakes on a Plane", eh? Something about that film has NO appeal to me at all...maybe it's the whole snakes thing...eewwwww!!

Erin, numbers are just that-numbers! Clothes feeling looser, feeling better-that's what this is all about...I agree with Cheryl about the exercising and toning...you're probably building a little muscle and losing the fat...YAY!!!

Louie, I'm here! Good to hear from you-sounds like you have been staying busy...know the feeling girl, know the feeling...

Shyla, how was the evening w/the friends? And how is the exercising going?

Tina, Breakfast in bed sounds verrrry romantic-how can you refuse that type of offer? Besides, hopefully you got to "work off" some of it afterwards...hee hee...

Ok, I'm going to get some things ready for the week! Make it a good one everyone- I'll try and check in, even if it's just a "fly-by" (made famous by Louie...)

Later-
