 Hi Girls...It sounds like everyone is getting busy with trampolines! Before you all know it, you're going to be wastin away to nothin!;) I wish that would happen to me!:p Not too much going on here today. I've been doing some laundry and dishes. It's another beautiful day out so I might venture outdoors for awhile for a walk. This morning I did my WATP. Hope everyone is enjoying your Tuesday and I'll be back to check in a little later.:grouphug:

RRVMMM 05-02-2006 09:31 PM

Good evening ladies, hope everyone has had a good day. Mine was was less busy than yesterday thank goodness. We don't have another game till Thrusday. I did really good today on eating but have a problem. I ate the same amount of food I normally eat at dinner and WOW I feel like I ate three times as much. Its been that way for the past few days. I sit down and eat my dinner, 1 plate, I feel fine, not stuffed just satisfied. I get up to clean up after dinner and by the time I am done I feel like I ate a whole cow:moo: . I know I should just cut back my portions, but I am quitting when I am satisfied. Like I said I'm not eating till I am stuffed. I know I know not a big problem, I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Lois tell them boys of yours to get that trampoline out. I did get on ours tonight and guess what, I didnt wet myself. I had alot of fun with the kids for a little while, but couldnt go much over 15 minutes it wears you out fast.

Tina Dont ya just hate that decimal point between the numbers on the scale. I think weight should drop in whole pounds not portions. LOL

Michelle You arent far behind in the wastin away. 19 pounds aint nothing to laugh at. Keep chuggin girl your are getting there.

Well it's time for bed and a good book. See ya all in the morning.

Hi Ladies,

Been MIA for a couple of days, just a lot going on. Will know tormorrow if my grazing over the weekend is going to hurt me. Oh well, it's a new week. I need to get my butt in gear and really get serious with my workout. It makes all the difference. Eating right, just doesn't do it! I'll be back tomorrow to do personals. Hugs to you all.

Cheryl

ladylane06 05-02-2006 10:06 PM

 Good evening ladies,

Just a quick check in before relaxing b4 bedtime.

Tina, yep, looks like we missed each other earlier. Hmmm, I don't know about the big trampoline but I may give the little one a try... hahaha!

Michelle, your day sounds like mine except for the weather... we had a pretty dreary day so I did not get out to walk :( ...but I did pop in the 2 mile WATP vid myself. :running:

Cheryl, glad you popped in... you were missed. I agree, some how the exercise seems to make all the difference. :workout: ...c'ya tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a good day! :)

:grouphug:

LadyLai 05-02-2006 10:24 PM

Hey ladies, just popping in! Had a pretty good day, stayed on target in all aspects. I have only walked once so far today though. I want to do my Biggest Loser dvd, toning part with weights. Got to get down there yet...hopefully I will muster it up and go. If I don't do that maybe I'll walk on the treadmill and watch TV.

Michelle, like Robbin said...19lbs. is nothing to laugh at. You're doing great. Hope you enjoyed your walk!

Robbin, I have noticed that I can't eat as much as I used to. I'm lovin' it! Makes me feel semi-normal. When I see "smaller" person say I'm stuffed after what seems to be a few bites..I never understood. I'd say, my goodness you eat like a bird! I'm eating like a bird now honey! haha!

Cheryl, hope the stress starts to simmer down for you. We understand why you were MIA...you had to deal with some really important stuff. Enjoy the new week and make the most of it!

Lois, get to bouncing! Good for you getting your walk fitted in today, even if it was indoors. Good for you!

See you in the morning!
TTFN!
~Tina

Cassie501107 05-02-2006 11:49 PM

ELEM-PGF~ That sounds like great news about your dad!
And don't stress about that gain...like you said, you'll see results soooon!

Teahoney~ Glad to hear the ankle is getting better! Be careful working out on it!

RRVMMM~ Congrats to your son and his team for winning the game! That's awesome! My little girl had her first T-Ball game lastnight, and since they are only 4 they don't keep score, but I had a great time seeing her out there.

Lois~ I'm sure you won't collapse the tramp! ;)

Tina~ Congrats on your loss! You're doing GREAT!

Update on me....I went to the doc today, and she is putting me on antibiotics to clear up any infection that may be remaining in there. She said that I may have bumped it or something and formed an abcess...I dunno, but it was soooo gross! It's feeling better today, so I think it's going to go ahead and heal. I'll just have to keep a close eye on it from now on. Thanks for all the concern, ladies!
As for my eating today...I was so bad.:( Fried chicken; need I say more?:^:

Michelle 05-03-2006 12:48 AM

Hi Girlies ~ Well I just wanted to pop in here for a minute, but I will get to the personals tomorrow. I was having such a great day today, and then my cousin called me this afternoon and gave me some bad news. My grandma is in the hospital and not doing very well. I already lost my grandpa on March 13 and I'm still trying to get over that, and now this is happening with my grandma. I have always been so close to my grandparents, because they helped raise my sister and I when we were younger, and we lived on their farm with them. It is so hard living 2200 miles apart, when they're in Iowa and I'm in Oregon. I'm just so thankful that my daughter and I were able to go back there last summer for a 6 week visit, and stay with them. You always know when a person gets older than you have to expect things like this to happen, but it's just so hard! I hope all of you have a good night and I will be back to talk tomorrow...:grouphug:

ELEM-PGF 05-03-2006 06:39 AM

Good morning ladies!! the positive energy in this thread is fantastic!!

Cassie Glad to hear the infection was not so bad and hopefully will be gone soon! Don't worry one day of fried chicken is needed every now and then! Are you a skin-a-holic like me?

RRVMMM I have been having some of the really full after I eat too. My apetite is just not what i used to be. I have found sometimes that feeling is gas/indigestion and a TUMS can help me.

MICHELLERP Oh my heart breaks for you!!! I know that distance thing so well, it is a killer, i will pray for you and yours!Keep that phone line hot, it always seems to help me to hear their voices when something like this is going on!

TEAHONEY I may have missed it but didn't you say you were going to a Doc to see about arthritis?? I am a PT and one thing i can tell you for sure is KEEP MOVING - within reason of course. I am glad to hear you are doing better right now and hope that you can keep a program going. I have seen it time and again the patients i have with good ol arthur do so much better when they get regular exercise and keep active. My advice is always if you are hurting try and if it gets worse stop but i may actually get better once you get moving. Joints need movement to squish around the juces that nourish the bones and cartilage and keep it healthy! WHEW okay sorry soap box there! :soap: anyway glad it is better now!

LOIS I know the feeling about the tramp. I have a constant fear of breaking things just because of my size. I have found though if i am under the weight limit there have been no problems! TRY THE TRAMP, the fun of something different is worth it!

TINA congrats on the continued loss:carrot: I love the expressions you have for what is happening to the weight as it comes off. I never put it in that perspective and maybe that is why it keeps coming back! Keep up the good work!

As for me... the scale demon  has still got me in his grips. the first time i got on the scale i was down 2 pounds. Type A person that i am i had to get on againa and the next two times i got on the scale was down .2 of a pound and i should have stopped there but just seemed like something wasn't right so did it again and was even higher!!! Needless to say daily weighing is one thing but 5 times in a row is overkill. So far though the scale craziness seems to be motivating me not brining me down. I am trying to hang on to how my body feels not what a scale says!

My dad is home from the hosp but not allowed to drive or work (he does carpentry maintenance - power tools big machines, not good things to keel over into) He had a mild spell yest after the stress test that said everything is fine, so they are doing more testing today as an outpatient. I am kind of leaning to blood sugar drops being part of the problem, but not all. I hate not being able to figure it out!! Anyway, thanks for your concern and keep him in your thoughts!

Ya'll have a fantastic day! I have a very busy one planned, 7 patients (I normally see 3-4) and then home to do laundry pack and get ready for beach trip tomorrow. I will have to see a few patients in the morning but then will be off to sun and sand by noon i hope!

ladylane06 05-03-2006 07:23 AM

 Morning Ladies,

Just a quick pop in b4 I get the little one ready for school

Cassie, glad you got to the doctor and she gave you something for it ...hope it's feeling better.

Ahh fried chicken, no more needs to be said... hahaha!

Michelle, so sorry to hear about your grandma. I will be sending positive thoughts your way. I know it's not easy getting that kind of news

Robbin, forgive me... I totally missed your post last night.:( I'm glad your day was not as busy. Sounds like it could just be a little indigestion, especially if you know you're not over eating. Hey, glad the bladder held up on the trampoline.... not sure I'm ready for the big one yet... I got on the lttle one and bounced a couple of times... I think I might have motion sickness or something because I immediately started to feel queezy. :(

ELEM, I know that daily weighing can be a trip. I'm glad your dad is home and hope they pinpoint the problem. If you don't get back here I hope you enjoy that sun and fun at the beach.

Gotta run... will check back a little later,
Wishing you all a great day!

:grouphug:

meowee 05-03-2006 07:28 AM

Oh goodness gracious when will I ever learn. If you don't drop in here at least two or three times a day, you get so far behind it's almost impossible to catch up again. I'm exhausted just from reading all the posts.

The sun is hiding again today and I'm feeling a little dull myself. You know how some days just seem to make you wonder why things are the way they are. :?: I'm having one of those days of wishing the scale- would move things along a little faster. The strange thing is, I did lose a little and got to move my ticker .8 to the right. Usually, I'm one of those people who can cheer for every little .2, but today all I can think about is the length of the journey in front of me. :( Never fear, I'll perk up again soon. As I said, it's just 'one of those days'. :dizzy:

Sorry, girls, I'm just not up to doing all the personal comments today. Hopefully I'll be back on the talkative track later. In the meantime, you keep on moving and shaking and going in the great downward direction and I'll see you all again, really soon. :carrot:

Good to know you all understand. :grouphug: Thanks for being here.

RRVMMM 05-03-2006 09:32 AM

Good Morning All.

Felling pretty good this morning, a little tired, really didnt want to get out of bed this morning. But here I am at work getting ready to clock in so hopfully I will pep up soon.:carrot:

Cheryl, You will get back on track, you have done great so far. Sometimes we have to realize that stressfull situations tend to effect us in a lot more ways than we realize and eating is always right up on top of the list. Remeber YOU CAN DO THIS.

Cassie, Glad to hear you got to the doctor. What a nasty mess. Take your medicine like a good girl and get all better. (LOL the mommy in me taking over)

Michelle, So sorry to hear Grandma isn't doing well, and that you have recently lost your Grandpa. Loosing a grandparent is very hard to deal with. Hopefully Grandma will get better soon and will be back at home.

Elem-PGF, You really should stop after 1 weigh. I have noticed if I get on my scales more than one time right in a row they never say the same thing, and tend to go up each time. But they do that even if it is my 5 year old getting on them. I think they just get confused. Enjoy the beach and dont weigh again till you have had some fun.

Lois, too bad you felt yuck getting on the trampoline. If you do have motion sickness they make the little wrist bands with bumps on them that you place over pressure points that really help. With my last pregnancy I got motion sick all the time I couldnt get in the car with out my wrist bands on.

Meowee, .8 is almost a whole pound you need to be proud. And most of all stop looking at the long haul. Baby steps is the only way to get there. And we are all here with you. YOU CAN DO THIS.

Well ladies I will check back later.

RRVMMM 05-03-2006 09:33 AM

By the way anyone seen Robsia lately?

Robsia 05-03-2006 01:12 PM

Speak of the devil . . .

I have had a busy couple of days recently. I do pop in and keep up with the posts but don't always have time to go through and make a whole long list of personals.

Seems I've had gremlins in my house. Last week my DVD HDD recorder went on the blink permanently. I only got it before Christmas and it's been fantastic as you can record stuff from the TV onto the HDD and then edit and burn them onto DVD. Anyway, it decided to die on me and I had so much still on the hard drive that I've lost. So I contatced JVC and they arranged to have a courier come out and take away the old one and give me a new. So that arrived today. Also I decided to buy my dd a TV/VCR combo for her birthday. I would have got a DVD combo but I have a spare DVD player that I figured I could plug in. Another nightmare! I didn't buy a new one, I bought one second hand from a chain called MoneyWorks which buys 2nd hand stuff and sells it on. The one I got didn't work. I saw it working in the shop and when I got it home the picture was fine but there was no sound. So we had to take it back to the shop and swap it for one that DID work. Well, the new one works fine (although it's not as pretty) but when I tried to plug in the DVD player, THAT didn't work.

With me so far?

So, I tried plugging the DVD player into the downstairs TV and it didn't work in that either so I figure it's the DVD player that's faulty, even though it worked when I first got it last December and it's only been sat in a box. So I need to take that back and see if they'll exchange it without a receipt.

Oh and on Sunday we got back from my M&Ds to find there was no electricity in the house - turend out there was no electricity in the entire area! But it was only off for half an hour or so.

Let's see, what else went wrong this week? Oh yes, I started back at school to find that the piano in the dining room (which I only use once a week fortunately) has gone seriously wonky over the holidays so that will ened money spending on it. Not my money though so that's one good thing. Definitely gremlins though.

Oddly enough my total weight loss for April was fractionally higher than March even though I've hardly done any exercise in favour of getting on with the book. Lost 8.6 in April compared to 8.4 in March. Up to 122256 on the book though!

Someone asked in the old thread about UK/US sizes. In theory a UK 14 is a size smaller than a US 14, so it would be a US 12. But I don't know if that's still the case. Certainly when I see people who are 150 lbs claiming to be in a US size 6/8 I wonder if that's right. But that's what it's supposed to be.

Someone at work today said I was "thin as a whippet!" LOL - I wish! Don't you just love that look they get in their eyes, you know, the combination of admiration and jealousy. I was quizzed today on how I was doing it so I sang the praises of 3FC and Nutridiary to the skies.

Re: trampolines - my daughter has one I bought her for her 2nd birthday - it's not one of those silly tiny ones but not a full size one either - it's about 4 ft square. She loves it still after 3 years - definitely a good buy. Not big enough for me unfortunately.

Lois - congrats on your 2.5 lbs - great loss!!

ELEM - Hi - sorry I didn't welcome you before. I am a sporadic contributor to this thread but I do read it. Glad to hear your dad is home and doing OK. I actually weight twice a day - once in the morning and once in the evening. If the evening weight has dropped since the night before it usually means the next morning's weight will be lower, so I get a sneak preview. I have learned to cope with the inevitable fluctuations as so far my weight has dropped every week.

Tina - glad to hear you're sorting your will out - it's one thing I know I should do but haven't yet. Good for you. Everyone should sort their will out NOW cos you never know when it'll be you. Congrats on your loss!!

Cassie - Glad to ehar you went to the doc - hope the antibiotics clear it up soon.

Teahoney - glad to hear your ankle is getting better. You'll be back doing your exercises before you know it.

Robbin - my friend got a big trampoline a few years ago and when i had a go I was shocked to find I couldn't 'hold it'. Glad it's not just me!!

Cheryl - get your butt in gear and do some exercises girl! Here you are -> :kickbutt:

Michelle - so sorry to hear about your grandma! (((hugs)))

Meowee - I KWYM about not always feeling 'up to' doing the personals. It does take so long to go through all the posts but then I feel so good when someone remembers me in their post - I have to spread the joy a bit :) 0.8 is great - you are doing fantastic!!

Michelle 05-03-2006 01:55 PM

Hi Ladies ~ I just spent the last 15 minutes typing up long personals, and when I went to sumbit, it told me I wasn't logged in anymore! This is so frustrating!!!

Tina ~ Thanks for the compliment on my 19 pounds. It's just so hard because I had lost 40 pounds last year, and since August, I've let myself go and regain most of it back.:(

Tracey ~ I hope you're having a good day and glad your ankle is feeling better.;)

ELEM-PGF ~ The distance between us is horrible, but my husband's job of 27 years keeps us here. I hope they find out what's wrong with your dad. My dad is going through the same thing with his heart. He has surgery yesterday and they could not find anything wrong. He keeps having heart attack symptoms and he even passed his stress test. Thank you for your kind words and prayers.

Lois ~ Thanks for your kind words and prayers, because I really appreciate them in a time like this.

Linda ~ Just think in small minin goals of 10 pounds at a time, because otherwise the large amount can be so overwhelming!:dizzy:

Robbin ~ I didn't want to get out of bed either this morning! I turned the alarm off and just laid there.:p

Robsia ~ We had to get a new dvd player this past weekend. They are expensive!:?:

Have a good day everyone and I will be checking back.:grouphug:

Michelle 05-03-2006 03:14 PM

Cassie ~ I'm so glad you went to the doctor and got some meds! That is really a dangerous thing when you have an infection. Hope you're feeling better today!
