Morning Ladies,:D
Been kind of down in the dumps the last couple of days:( plus busy with meetings and not being at home. Had my weigh in yesterday, and my scales said 338.4 and at WW theirs said 342.3. It really discourages me and for my own peace of mind I think I'm only going to go by my scales.:goodscale My mouth is feeling much better, but I can feel a slight indention in the roof of my mouth the size of a nickle where I loss a hunk of skin. Haven't made it up to my room to sew, but the way I feel, it's probably a good thing. I'd be doing more ripping out than sewing the mood I'm in. Going to do some housework and laundry this morning and then go out for a walk this afternoon when it warms up. Erin...Congrats on 1.3 lbs loss. That's great! Hope your sunburn is doing better. May sound weird, but I use streight vinegar on a sunburn. It takes the sting/burn out. Linda...Glad to hear the scales gave up a few pounds for you. If you have a digital scale, I find they need new batteries every month to keep them accurate. Robbin...You should be so proud of yourself, not only are you trying to loose weight but quit smoking as well. I'm proud of you! It's not easy to do. My Dad quit smoking cold turkey 30 years ago. He broke a 4 pack a day habit. My in-laws were chain smokers, found out they had lung cancer, couldn't quit and smoked up until the day they passed. I'm now trying to get my son to quit, but he says smoking helps with the stress he is under. Have you tried the patch? Tina...:bravo: on the size 16 skirt. You are doing so good on this journey to a new you! Pep talk coming...Do not feel bad about your slip up, you keep all of us so motivated with how well you are doing. We wouldn't be here trying to loss weight if we were not addicted to food. You brushed yourself off and got right back on track with eating healthy and hitting the treadmill. That says it all, you didn't quit!! Lois...Congrats on the size 18 and the shoes that fit. I had to laugh also, because I have the same problem, my shoes are loose. I'm ordering new walking shoes tomorrow and can't wait to put my feet into ww and not wwww shoes.:D Michelle...Hope you are enjoying your nice weather. Hope the appointment with the doctor about your mother went well. My husband has diabetes and right now it is under control with pills, diet and exercise. I hope and pray it never gets as bad as his Dad had it. He had both legs amputated and died from complication after the last amputation. Well the washer is done, so I better get busy and get another load in. Have a good day girls. Cheryl |
 Hi Cheryl ~~ Well we didn't go to the appointment yesterday. My sister had to cancel it because they had to sign papers on the house they bought. Don't know what we're going to do now. Our weather is partly sunny, partly cloudy, and there's a chance of sprinkles, but it's supposed to be nice again for the weekend. I'm sorry you have been having a hard couple of days. I also had that feeling at the beginning of the week, and I hate it when I get in that kind of funk! Emotions can do some real bad things to us and take over total control of our bodies if we let them! That will be good if you can get outside to get some fresh air and a walk. Hope your day ends of going good for you and things do a turn around for the better. Have a good Thursday...

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for your kind words, I feel like a good cry would do me a ton of good. I usually get this way around special days/holidays. Miss my family out in Oregon so much and my kids haven't been out for visit since July 2000 and my husband usually works all holidays. It does work out his days off fall on Mother's Day and 4th of july for this year, but that's it. One of my big problems is eating out of lonelyness, but I'm learning to do other things to keep my mind and hands busy. Have a good day. Cheryl |
Hi everybody . . . just popping in for a quick hello. Our weather is kind of dull and overcast at the moment, but who know what will happen later one. :dizzy:
Erin . . . Good luck with the endo appointment. You are so wise to try to beat the disease now. It is difficult to learn to take care of it, but it is worth the difficulty because the complications of uncontrolled diabetes are absolutely devastating. Michelle . . . On that note . . . please make sure you re-book the appointment with your Mother's doctor as quickly as you can. Robbin . . . hope you have a good day at work and we get to see you again soon. Cheryl . . . Glad your mouth is getting better and hope you get over the 'down-in-the-dumps' feeling quickly too. See you later, chickies . . . must get back to it. Although I am hoping things will be slowing down on the work-project for a little while. I think phase I is finished, but won't know for sure what (if anything) comes next until this time next week. Keep moving and shaking it, gang. :carrot: |
CHERYL I want to share something that i hope doesn't offend you, but my circle of friends calls it an emotional sh-t. Let it out girl!! You're right a good cry can be so helpful, even if it is for no reason at all!! One of my friends made me a tape of sappy music to put me in the mood. I have found when i am really down and can't get out of it a good cry or emotional poopy can do a lot of good!! Hopefully, i could at least make you laugh a little! Also, i know what you mean about the scales. According to my scale i had lost 21 pounds but when i went to the endo today it was only 19 on their scale. I was so wanting it to at least be an even 20 with them. Hang in there, I am with you girl!!!
Michelle I hate you missed the appointment. I know how disappointing that can be. I hope you can get it rescheduled soon! Gotta run now time to get my daughter from the bus stop! Erin |
YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THE DAY I HAD!
Everything was quite a normal happy go-lucky thursday. We had a notice in our door that the power was going to be off from 10am-3pm today. So after dropping my daughter off at preschool this morning I said to myself I better get home and finish my walking before ten. So I came home...got changed into my exercise clothes..filled up my water bottle and opened the door to the basement, only to hear the sound of gushing water! I ran down to have a look and sure enough our basement was flooded! UUUhhhh!! I phoned the home-builder they came by had a look and organized a plumber to come by and fix the culpret. Which turned out to be the hose under the sink in my kitchen, somehow it popped out went through the floor and was gushing water around like a wild snake. Well they offered their shop-vac to help suck up the water...I was grateful. By the time they got it here...BEEEEP! The power went and wasn't going to return till 5hrs. later! So here I was, with a mop and bucket, in the darkish basement, standing in cold water past my feet trying to soak all this water up. I'd dip the mop and wring it out, Lord knows how many times! Hopefully I was able to move the furniture to drier areas so it looks like there isn't much damage in that regards. After 3o'clock I spent the rest of the day trying to suck the water out of the carpets. What a day!! Needless to say I haven't had a chance to exercise. And with the way the basement looks now, I'm not sure when I'll get a chance anytime soon. Linda, thanks. Hopefully you're special project will be finished and nothing much comes your way this time next week so you can have more time for yourself. Erin, yes. I think we all can relate to the many different types of emotional set backs, set ups, etc. that this journey will lead us on. It's so reassuring to know you're not alone. Robbin, sounds like you had a busy day ahead of yourself. Hope it wasn't too hectic for you. Michelle, sorry to hear you couldn't keep the appointment today. Hopefully you'll get another real soon so you can get some advice on helping your mom. Cheryl, I hope you can shake those dumpy emotional feelings soon enough. If you feel a good cry will help...go ahead and have it. Sometimes I feel like that too...somedays I can cry over the simpliest things. My husband sometimes doesn't know what's best to do. Oh the joys of womanhood! My husband works a lot of the holidays too. Since working in a restaurant, mothersday is the busiest time of the year. Well girls, I am totally wiped! I think I'm going to do nothing but relax for the rest of the night. I'll see you tomorrow. Hope you all have a great night! ttfn! ~Tina |
T G I F...
 Good Morning...,
Just a quick check in. I had a pretty lazy day yesterday. I did not do much at all. it rained most of the day and it was chilly out too. One of those days you want to stay cuddled under the covers... too bad I couldn't do that. I did a little cleaning but no real exercise yesterday. I'll be back at it today though. :workout: Tina, oh WoW! ...I know that must have been a real mess to deal with.... sounds like you got a workout afterall. I hope you get everything dried out and luckily there was no major damage. Cheryl, glad your mouth is much better. If I were you I would just go by the one scale too... calibrations vary, go by the one you can rely on and check for accuracy. I hope you feel better today :) Michelle, sorry the appt. was cancelled... I hope you all can get it rescheduled ASAP. Erin, I must say I enjoy your positive and upbeat post. LOL my little one will be 4 the end of June.... I always have someone else with me when I shop so we try and keep him occupied while we shop but as with most little ones, he gets restless after a while. Robbin, hope your day went ok without the receptionist and wasn't too hectic. Wishing everyone a good day! ...I will check back later. :grouphug: |
Good Morning Once Again. Yesterday was quite hectic but I managed to get through it just fine. My only problem is ........... I HATE ANSWERING PHONES.
Erin, I agree about the Emotional "Poo". We all need to have one every now and then. I just wish I could get my husband to understand it doesnt really mean that there is anything specific wrong and when I am like that just leave me alone it will go away. Linda, hope things slow down a little for you. Its always nice to have peacefull quiet time. Cheryl, I can definately understand what you mean about missing family at holidays. We spent 3 years stationed in Hawaii with the Army and I would get so depressed at holidays. There isnt much that can help when you really miss the family. Have a good cry then give them a call. Michelle, I hope you can reschedule your appointment soon. Lois, Sounds like you had one of those days when you just want to curl up with a good book and blanket. MMMMM Sounds so good right now. Tina, Ok first I have to apologize to you for laughing. I know that yesterday was in no way funny to you at all.(right now) But when all of the bad is over, look back at yourself standing in ankle deep water with a mop. It would be like trying to save a sinking ship with a shot glass. But on the serious side, I hope everything dries out for you soon. Well ladies I gotta clock in once again, Joy Joy Joy. I wont be here much for the next 2 or 3 days we have a very busy schedule for this weekend that includes 2 baseball games tonight and 2 games tomorrow, then church with my mom and grandma on Sunday with a big family lunch after. I will try to check in as soon as I can. |
Lois, I'm having one of those days today. The rain is suppose to stick around for a couple of days. Great for the lawn (new sod) saves me from getting out the sprinkler, but it sure doesn't help my area rugs out on my deck trying to dry! hahaha!
Robbin, I don't mind you laughing. I even started laughing myself when I was down there. It seemed like dropping a cotton ball in the lake, but I did eventually get it soaked up! LOL! You've got a busy weekend ahead of you, burning calories along the way. I hope you enjoy your Mothers Day with your mom and grandma. I gotta go clear the area around my treadmill so I can have a walk. I've seemed to obliterate the weekend weight and one more with it! The scale was reading a firm 223 this morning. Feeling good alright! Have a great day ladies and make the most of it! Stay strong and be powerful! I'll check in a little later...I got a feeling it's going to be one of those days. Cold and rainy and not feeling like much else. TTFN! ~Tina |
Good Morning Everyone ~~ Well I'm trying to get out of this funk that I've been in this week, and it's really getting rediculous! Stress has caused so much on me that it's really affecting my health each day and the way I'm feeling, which has been down.:( I'm going to see if my daughter, when she wakes up because they didn't have school today, wants to go take a walk just to get out for awhile. I need to get to the grocery store since I'm having everyone over on Sunday for Mother's Day dinner. I have lost 2 pounds this week, and I have no idea how because I haven't been on track at all. Tomorrow is actually my weekly weigh in day, but I changed it today just so I could feel better about something with myself. I will weigh in again tomorrow on my regular day and see if there are anymore changes, but I'm very happy with the 2 pounds!:D
Tina ~~ Oh how horrible with the mess yesterday! You seem so low keyed and calm about it. I guess, what else could you really do, right? I'm glad you got the mess cleaned up though...oh what a day! CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss! You really are doing so good and I'm proud of you!;) I will check back later and I hope all of you have a happy Friday!!!:grouphug: |
Hi everybody . . . I've been having a bit of a funny day. :dizzy: Actually the weather is absolutely beautiful . . . about 17C/18C (mid 60's) and sunny. Wish it could stay this way forever. Sorry to hear that many of you are not quite so lucky weatherwise the last couple of days. :)
And then, of course, there's Tina who has decided to give up the house in favour of living in a very large swimming pool. That exact (almost) same thing happened to a friend of mine a few years ago. She loaded up the dishwasher, turned it on, and left for work. The discharge hose broke and every ounce of water through the DW ended up on her main floor and then dripped down to her basement as well. No one that knows her ever goes out and leaves the dishwasher running anymore. :D Look on the bright side, chickie . . . mopping is great exercise. ;) I know what you mean, Lois, sometimes the desire for a day of hibernation is almost overepowering. Unfortuntely, with a little one, you can't indulge the desire. Hope today is a little less hectic for you, Robbin. Congratulations on your SV, Michelle. Don't question the good stuff, just accept it and hope for more. Have a great evening, ladies. Here's a little :grouphug: to help us all along the way. See you soon. :carrot: |
Hi Linda ~~ Thanks for the compliment, you're so kind! Glad you're having a beautiful sunshiny day! We are too, but it's a little chilly today. By next week, it's suppose to be up in the 80s. Have a great day!

Okay ladies it's time to do something about this funky feeling that has been going through each one of us. I know how hard that is to do but trust me, it's better letting it take over and spoil our days! On your next post I want you to name something your grateful for since losing some weight. Something you're proud of, or proud of yourself for getting this far. Something you've obtained or something that you feel. Come on ladies, let's get it out there and celebrate it!!
I'm proud that I've actually stuck with eating healthier for the past 132 days and have -46lbs. to show for it. I'm proud that I have a size 16 skirt in my closet that fits perfectly (even though it's probably a "big" 16 and it's stretchy). I am proud that everything I do now comes with a less effort...stairs, walking, bending over to do my shoes, drinking a fish tank of water and lovin' with the hubby (sorry had to sneak that one in). Overall I'm happy that I've decided to stick with it this time to make me a more happier person, give my daughter a more active, playful mommy, and a sexy looking wife for my hubby. And I'm most grateful for the people I've met here, without you all I'd probably be back where I started. Thanks! Michelle, congratulations on your loss this week. That's something to celebrate! Enjoy your time with your daughter and your Mothers Day dinner on Sunday! I guess I would be a little more affected if there was significant damage, but everything is still in good condition. We may have to replace some drywall but overall, my pictures were safe, my wedding dress was safe and the computer has survived aswell as my treadmill. I'm thanking my lucky stars that it happened when it did and we caught it in fairly good time and that it didn't happen when we were out of town. Linda, I'm glad you're having a beautiful weather to enjoy. We both said that no matter what now we're turning off the water when we go out of town. Better to be safe than sorry. But the swimming pool was fun while I had it. LOL! That sounds awful about your friend, two floors to deal with! I gotta go and think of what to get for dinner...I'm so stumped! Hope you're having a great day ladies! TTFN! ~Tina |
I am so sorry that I haven't been around.....I feel so bad!:( I am just not very good at this continous thread thing, LOL! I think I will back away, but I will still be on 3FC, and will check in here from time to time.

I WILL MISS YOU CASSIE, PLEASE COME BACK WHEN YOU FEEL YOU CAN...
