Melissa...Sorry about the bad service you got at WalMart. I wouldn't let it happen again. You are the customer, you deserve good service, and buying that turkey breast helps pay her salery. Hope you are feeling better. I can't eat fry foods anymore either, just upsets my stomach and not worth feeling so yucky.
Linda...Broke the new mower in this morning. I should of got up early and started to mow instead of going out at 10. It was hot, but I mowed for about 1 1/2 hours. I consider it my exercise for the day.:carrot: Off to Devil's Lake tomorrow for a car show and a day of fun. Will try to check back tomorrow. Cheryl |
Good morning gals-
Sorry I've been missing. Things have gotten busy here. My big excitement happened yesterday. We went to see the musical "Wicked" in Detroit. It was one of my Christmas presents and I have been SO anxious to see the show. It was REALLY cool!!!! I'm not sure about having a favorite musical, but it ranks right up there in the top! We participated in Relay for Life last night. I had some mixed emotions there. We walked during the luminary lighted laps (all the luminaries are in memory or celebration of a person who has/does have cancer) well, we're walking the lap and these teenage boys are like bodyslamming wrestling each other and knocking into people and just in my mind being disrespectful. I really wanted to give them a piece of my mind, but I didn't want to upset anyone so I held it in. I know the relay is both a memorial and a celebration of life, but especially on that lap you would think they could show a little respect and if they needed to "be boys" moved off the track into a grassy area where they wouldn't be bothering others. Sorry for my rant. It really bothered me to see so much disrespect. It sounds like you are all doing great. I dont have lots of time to comment as I need to get ready for church. I'll try to come back this afternoon. Have a terrific day! |
Hi there you crafty ladies . . .
Another cold, wet day in Nova Scotia. I had to shut all my windows and the heat keeps coming on. I know, I'll soon be complaining about hot and humid, though. :( Cheryl . . . have a great time at the car show. See you when you get back. Brandy . . . know exactly how you feel. Makes you wonder why they were there in the first place. . . Probably forced to attend by their parents who then decided to ignore the rotten behaviour. Mel . . . it's a great picture and at the rate you are going you'll be back to (and below) that weight soon. My day has been ticking along OK . . . Eating right and actually did a little "TV-related" exercise. Got started on that little Wedding Announcement I mentioned before, as well. See you tomorrw, girls. Keep moving and shaking and heading in the preferred direction. :carrot: |
Good morning ladies-
Hope you all had a terrific weekend. I had a very rough day yesterday. I found out one of the older ladies from church who has been a good friend to me has terminal cancer. It really hit me hard yesterday. It's not just her, most of the people who are sick in the congregation are friends whereas before they were more just acquaintances, my job playing funerals is getting harder and harder with each funeral. I got really upset yesterday and it made me physically ill with a migraine and then a terrible sore throat. I'm trying to upgrade my mood today. I did my run (13 minutes) and walk (47 minutes) this morning. My throat is killing me and it hurts a bit to breathe so we put off the long run of the week until Wednesday. I'll do a turbokick workout in a bit to finish off my morning. I do feel better since I got my run in. We won our softball game last night. It was a weird game because both teams had 1 terrible inning, but played the rest of the game well. Wish I could say I had fun, but my heart wasn't in the game. Cheryl-hope the car show was fun. Glad you got the new mower broke in. Meowee-the announcement sounds cool. I love it when people add in a more personal, non-traditional touch to their wedding things. mel-Hope you get up the nerve to try some of the group exercise classes. I really enjoy the classes that I attend. BUT, you gotta do what you're comfortable with. Sorry for your luck at Walmart. I love/hate that store. Love the prices and their range of products. Hate the service. Have a great day. |
Hi there, gang . . .
Another dull and cool day in Nova Scotia, but they are calling for a bit of sun later on this afternoon. Hope it's true . . . I'm getting tired of the rain. . . although I'm willing to have the cool stick around. ;) Brandy . . . so sorry to hear your sad news . . . have a good workout and just pretend that you are kicking that nasty cancer- on behalf of your friend. Mel . . . good morning . . . have a great day. Not too much exciting around here . . . been working on the cross-stitch (doing clouds). I will post a picture when it's done. It's not going to be too big . . . just a little something to tuck in with the cheque that I know they can put to really good use. Hope some more of our crafters show up to tell us about their projects soon. It's been too quiet around this thread. Have a good day, girls. Keep on doing the right stuff and the rewards will surely follow. Here's some :dust: to help us along the way. :carrot: |
Brandy...So sorry to hear about your friend. Will keep her and you in my prayers. I'm so jealous, I'm green:p ! You saw "Wicked"!! Oh how I miss living in a big city. I use to go to concerts and such when we lived in Calif and Oregon. Now I have to go to Minneapolis to see a play/musical.
Melissa...Very cute picture, but I really don't think you are an orangatang.LOL Linda...Hope you are having a good day and getting some cross stitch or quilting done. Had a good time at the car show yesterday. Lots of beautiful cars and just makes us wish that our was done. Next year it should be ready for the shows. Followed my program all week till yesterday and today.:devil:KFC and pizza:devil: It's back on track tomorrow and up early to mow before it get's hot. Hope to sweat/walk a few pounds off.:carrot: Ozzy had his dentist appointment today and he is home resting. My poor baby had 8 teeth pulled, 4 bottom front teeth, 3 top front teeth and 1 molar. The good thing is he is not going to be in pain once his mouth heals in a couple of days.:D It's been a long day, so will see you chickies tomorrow. Cheryl |
Hi gang . . . beautiful day of sunshine and warmth today . . . can hardly wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
Cheryl . . . all that mowing and sweating will help work off the KFC and Pizza Hut in no time. Make sure you take the time to cuddle Ozzy. Mel . . . wow, that was indeed impressive. Way to go, girl. Nothing too exciting for me . . . did some work on the cross-stitch . . . went to the optometrist . . . had a nap. Don't know whether I can stand all this :dizzy: Anyway, will see you guys tomorrow. Have a great evening doing the good stuff and preparing to reap the rewards. :carrot: |
Hi Gang!!
Beautiful day here with a nice breeze. Got up early and started mowing. Worked up a good sweat, and hopefully I dropped a pound or two.:carrot: NSV today. I wore a pair of my pants and attached my walkman, with my walkman on, my pants wouldn't stay up.:D Had to take the walkman off to mow the yard, so it's time for the pants to go to the garbage. That's a good thing!!! Melissa...Girl, you did great at the shower. I just know that fairy fat mother is going to pay you a visit this week. Linda...So happy to hear you are having nice weather. Hope it sticks around for a while. I've been giving Ozzy lots of TLC, but I always do. He's my baby. Well girls, I hope to go back up to my sewing room tomorrow and do something. Probably work on the quilt, so I can get it done. I can't stand to leave projects unfinished, drive me NUTS.:dizzy: Have a great evening and I'll see you tomorrow. Cheryl |
Hello ladies,
Sounds like we have all been busy. I had my polymer clay class yesterday and we made a really cool vase with a lily cane flower on it. It really is pretty. I need to get it in the oven today to finish it off. Cheryl-Congrats on getting rid of those pants!!! Wonderful feeling isn't it! Good luck getting more work on the quilt done. Hope its an enjoyable day of sewing for you. mel-That is wonderful that you were able to be so healthy at the shower. I have never been able to get through that kind of event without a slip up. You must feel terrific. meowee-glad you got some sun and warmth. It has been beautiful here, but the rain will be coming in sometime today. At least I wont have to water the plants today! |
Good Morning, girls . . . Nova Scotia weather doesn't know what it wants to be again today. . . some sun, some cloud, a little more humidity, but still comfy.:dizzy: Apparently the long-range forecast is calling for quite a bit of rain. :(
It's hump day and it's also my www . . . Yippee . . . I made it into a new decade this morning (not by much, mind you, but every little bit is important). :D Cheryl  . . . Congratulations on the clothing-related NSV. The image of you and brightened my morning. ;) Brandy  . . . What is a Lily Cane Flower? I know Water Lillies, Tiger Lillies, and Calla Lillies, but this is a new one. Perhaps you can post a picture of the vase when it has been fired. Mel  Congratulations on the loss and on the pilates work-out. Stay away from that chocolate, girl. You can do it. :) Well, looks like the morning has disappeared again. Partly due to the vacation from the work project being over . . . it was nice while it lasted and, actually, it lasted a good three weeks so I guess I'd better not complain too much. Have a good day of moving and shaking and heading in the downward direction. See you soon. :carrot: |
Melissa...WHOOHOO!! Glad the fairy fat mother paid you a visit. Congrts on doing your workout. It get's easier each day.:carrot: :carrot:
Brandy...Your clay vase with flowers sounds real pretty. Please do post a picture when it's done. Never made it up to work on the quilt today, will do that tomorrow. Linda...Congrats on your loss as well. Glad I brought a smile to your face about my pants. I was pretty happy also. I'm up a half pound, but no biggie. I know it's all that water I've been drinking because it's been so hot and I've been busy the last couple of days mowing. Had my worse hot flash:flame: today. I was red as a beet for over an hour! If I hadn't of been in a meeting, I would of stripped naked just to cool off. See you chickies tomorrow. Cheryl |
Morning crafty ladies-
Well dont we all just have homrone he** raging? I guess I'm the weird one. I haven't had a period in 10 yrs due to my birth control shot, but I get KILLER hot flashes (I prefer to call them power surges) due to the shots. Now, its one thing to be a normal age for hot flashes and to have them (no, I'm not diminishing how bad they are!) but try being 23 and having a hot flash in the middle of Meijer so bad that you're stripping down to the least you can publically wear without getting arrested. People just dont get it! They have gotten a bit better over the years, but they still suck. I had a great softball game last night which we won, but I jarred my ankle and its throbbing now so I'm taking it a bit easy today. I might do a walk this evening if it feels ok. I really miss it when I dont workout in the morning. I just seem to drag around and never get anything done. I'm off to the store to buy my neice a bday present. (She'll be 3!) I have some ideas, but this is for the neice who lives a few states away, and I just am not sure of what she's really into. Now my other one who I see almost everyday has a birthday in another week and I have no shortage of ideas that I KNOW she'd adore, so I'm just using some of those for this gift idea as well. Hope you have a great day! |
Melissa...I also started having hot flashes at 39. I was hoping I would follow in my mothers foot steps and be done with the hole mess by the time I was 41. No such luck for me, I just turned 53 and still dealing with an occasional visit from TOM. So far he has left me alone for 2 months now. I still get the terrible urge to eat every thing in sight that time of the month even if tom doesn't pay a visit.
Brandy...Hope your ankle is feeling better. Just take it easy and ice it. I finally made it up to my sewing room today and got it cleaned up. Straighten up my fabric stash and got a little sewing done on my quilt. Got the first row of kids almost done. I had to go back and resew all of the kids since my satin stitch wasn't wide enough the first time. Just love making more work for my self. Cheryl |
Hi gang . . . sorry I was missing yesterday and I don't have much to say today either . . . just wanted to let you know I am still alive (I think). We are sitting in the middle of a severe low pressure bomb and I've got one of the worst migraines I've had in many a long month (actually since hurricaine season last year). See you all later. :carrot:
|
Hi gang...Linda, I'm so sorry to hear you have a horrible migrain. Hope you are feeling better real soon.
It has been very cool and pouring down rain since 3am. We are going to be in the low 40's tonight and I feel like turning on my furance to warm up now. Never have a hot flash when I need one. LOL...I'm doing respite care for a really sweet 10 year old girl for the next 11 days. We are going to do some machine embroidery tomorrow, she wants to learn to sew. So we are going to make a baby bib for here nephew and embroider a real cute turtle on it. I got my first row of kids done today. Yippie!!! Tomorrow, I'm going to play with the paper dolls and get another 21 kids dressed and ready to iron on the quilt. Well it's getting late and I have been up since 5 with the little one, see you gals in the morning. Cheryl |
Melissa...I can't wait to finish the quilt either. Today I helped the little gal staying with us do some machine embroidery. She did a turtle on a baby bib she is making. Between helping her, I tried to press kids together with their clothes, so I can lay them out on the quilt for placement before the final pressing. I have to do about 90 kids to finish the quilt.
Sorry to hear you locked your keys in your car. I've done that, only I was in a rest area at 2am when I did it. Lucky for me, a trucker was very nice and was able to get the back slider window in my pickup open. Linda...Hope you are feeling better today. Here's a hug for you! Went and saw "Cars" at the movies this afternoon. Really cute!! Talk to you ladies tomorrow. Cheryl |
Hi Gang . . . I'm here . . . more or less. The low pressure is still stuck over Atlantic Canada and I keep getting little migraines that sort of come and go which is definitely better than before but not exactly what I would call "feeling good".
On top of that, all the time I've been able to stand looking at the computer screen has pretty much been spent on the "work project". Hopefully I'll be back to normal soon. In the meantime, keep on moving and shaking, gang and I'll see you soon.:carrot: |
Hi gang,
Linda...I'm glad to hear you are feeling a litle better. Hope you are back to your old self by the weekend. Melissa...Pixar has a new movie coming out this fall called "Open season". Aniamls against the hunter. Looks really cute and I will be seeing it. Charlottes Web is also coming out and looks like it will be excellent. Didn't get much crafting done today, came home from church and took a nap. I'll be back at it tomorrow. have a good one ladies. Cheryl |
Hi ladies,
I'm having a rough time. Well, you know that one of my friends died, and I have to play his funeral this morning. I am hoping to keep my composure enough to get through. My other friend who was just diagnosed last week passed away on Friday and her funeral (which I also have to play) is later this week. It has been a rough week. They both will really be missed. On the lighter side of life, we had a double header softball game last night. We lost both, but at least played ok in the second game. (We were having lots of problem in the first game.) We also had our first route safety crew meeting for the Breast Cancer 3-day walk in Detroit. We had a nice picnic and got to know some of the new crew members. It got me really excited about participating in this years event. I ran my fastest run this morning. It was a short one, but I went 1.6 miles in 15:17!!! It was really fun. My hubby competed in his first TRIATHALON yesterday and he placed 4th in his age group. I'm so proud of him. I'm heading off to do a turbokick workout, and then get ready for the funeral. |
Hi there all you crafty ones . . . I'm almost back to normal (or in my case, what tries to pass for 'normal') . . . at least I'm not in pain right now.
Cheryl . . . I love animation. All the movies I've bought in the past year or so have been animated. I think they are absolutely great. Brandy . . . My heart goes out to you, girl. It's so awful to hear about the passing of your friends. Stay strong for all of those who will be counting on you to make the sad times a little easier. Congratulations on the softball and running endeavours. Keep up the good stuff. :) I've been keeping a fairly low profile today to avoid scaring up another migraine . . . sometimes a change to higher pressure can trigger them too . . . and the sun finally peeked through later this afternoon. Hopefully it will be around for a few days. The long term forecast is saying that Alberto (now a minor hurricane) will be in our part of the Atlantic by Friday. Hope they are wrong. :( Came across a cute little saying on a cross-stitch sampler today . . . LET'S TRY TO GET THE FUN BACK IN DYSFUNCTIONAL . . . suited my mood quite perfectly. See you later, ladies. Keep on moving and shaking and doing the other good stuff. :carrot: |
Brandy...I'm so sorry to hear that both of your friends have passed. I know it will be hard to paly at the funeral, but stay strong and I know they are watching over you. Congrats on your running time, that's awesome.:carrot: :carrot:
Linda...So happy to hear you are feeling better and the weather is trying be to nice. Not much going on here. I have to start mowing again tomorrow. We are suppose to be in the 80's by Wednesday. Me, I'd like a nice 75. I just won 100 large spools of poly machine embroidery thread on ebay. can't wait to get them, so I can sew out some designs on dish towels. Getting back to my quilt sometime tomorrow. Have a good one ladies. Cheryl |
Good Morning, crafty ladies . . .
We've got sunshine and nice comfy, coolish temperatures this morning. Hope it continues for a long, long time. Wow Cheryl . . . what a great prize. I know you'll be able to put it to great use. Have a great time with the mowing. Nothing too much on my agenda today. The work stuff will no doubt keep me busy and I've got backstitching to do on a cross-stitch project I started last year . . . actually a set of 4 that make up one total picture, and I ran out of steam on the last part . . . see, I do go back to them eventually. :dizzy: Guess it's time to take some more pictures since I've got a few little projects finished up. Anyway, time to get moving and shaking, girls. Have a great day and keep on doing the good stuff. See you soon. :carrot: |
Yippee . . . the Fairy-Fat-Mother visited me last night and took away another 1.8 pounds to ugly-pound-heaven when she left.
New shawl pattern sounds delightful, Mel. I love shawls that have some way of keeping themselves in place. Absolutely right . . . practicing maintenance is a good thing. See you later, gang. |
Good morning Ladies!! Hope we all have a good hump day. I've gotta get some shopping done today. My hubby's birthday is next week, but I leave on Monday morning to go on our church's youth white water rafting trip, so I need to have everything ready because I wont return until the evening of his birthday.
My walk was nice this morning. I went my usual 4 miles with the neighbor. It must be a nice day because lots of people were out (we usually only see 1 other person out consistently.) Its going to start to get hot and humid here again. I hate that humid sticky mess. The only saving factor is the pool. I haven't been crafting lately with all the commotion and losses in my life. I'll get back to it soon. I just need to let life settle down and get back in control of things. meowee-Hooray for the loss!!! |
Brandy . . . Hi. Mel . . . Hi. Everybody else . . . where are you? Goodness it is quiet in here and just about everywhere else on the boards I've been looking, too.
We have rain again . . . our little bit of joy from Alberto. I'm feeling a little down too . . . no headache but a bit of stomach flu I guess. Anyway, see you soon gang. Have a good day. :carrot: |
Melissa...How's the design on the new shawl coming along? Love the Bible verse. Going to underline it in my Bible.
Melissa, You are so right on people not wanting to buy a finish product until they have to furnish the supplies. Then they realize how much it cost for yarn or fabric and the time that goes into a piece. If I sell anything on ebay, I buy the fabric at Wally World, so I can keep my prices down. Linda...I see you are doing the fatty fat dance   . WTG on 1.8 lbs gone!! Hope you are feeling better. Brandy...Hope you have an AWESOME time on your white water trip. We are going to take a jet boat trip down the Rouge River in Oregon. Will be our third time and it's so much fun. It has been a stressful week for me. Good thing I have no good junk food in the house, just fruits and veggies and I don't want to eat them. So I have been good. WW scales said I lost 1.8 lbs, but my sacles said no change, so I'm keeping my ticker where it's at. I haven't touched my quilt since last week, and won't till things calm down here. I have a busy weekend ahead, our car club has it's big show starting tomorrow night. I have to work tomorrow and all day Saturday. Just hope I don't bake like I did last year. Have a good weekend and I'll try to check in tomorrow. Cheryl |
Oh wow, Mel . . . that is absolutely beautiful . . . can hardly wait to see your version. I just love pineapples.
So sorry about your stressful week, Cheryl.. This too will pass. Just hang in there and keep on doing the good stuff. Nothing too much new for me . . . no time for crafts, I've been busy with the work-project and still have a few hours to put on it this weekend. However, most of next week should be a little calmer and hopefully I'll be able to get some other 'more important' stuff done. Alberto blew through last night and left behind a beautiful day . . . sunny, mild (mid 70's) and no humidity. Supposed to be nice tomorrow too. I do think Alberto may have stolen a couple of my shingles. The ceiling light in my computer room started to leak about bedtime last night. It did this once last year and then everything was fine again. Will just have to see what happens the next time it rains . . . but I guess it's only a matter of time before I have to bite the new roof bullet. :?: Have a great evening, everybody. Keep on doing the right stuff and the Fairy-Fat-Mother will be visiting, soon. :carrot: |
Hey gang . . . where are you . . . I'm talking to myself again . . . and people are starting to stare.
|
Happy everything to you too, Mel. Funny, I was just thinking of you. Was going to start a new afghan, but then decided to finish a couple of half-done granny-square-based shawls first. Kind of cute, but very simple. KW granny squares joined together with a coordinating colour of Boa. Will post pictures when done.
Have agreat day everybody . . . wherever you are. Hope to see you all really soon. :carrot: |
Hi Gang, Very busy and stressful weekend. The car show was great, the weather was beautiful and I had a tent to work under this year so I didn't burn like I did last year. Hubby and I won $ 200.00 in the raffle and a club member won the quilt I made. FD was a pain, so next year she will stay home. Got a new FD on Thursday and thought things were going OK until I stepped into my sewing room this afternoon. The smell alone just about knocked me for a loop, and things had been moved aroune in my room. The FD had threw-up on my computer desk, printer, wall, carpet and hubby's car parts and never said anything! On top of that, I noticed that the new cans of can air I had just bought was gone from my computer desk and from my sewing machine, but the straw for the can was by the puke. I think FD was huffing, but I can't prove it.
Anyway, called who I had to call. Made her clean up the mess and I locked up my room and the aerolsol cans. To top it off, I lite a couple of candles, and wasn't watching what I was doing and caught my shirt on fire. :fr: :flame: It melted a hole the size of a half dollar! Couldn't of been one of my everyday shirts, had to be one I wear to church!!! Anyway, I need to get up there tomorrow after I get back from town and air the room out so my fabric doesn't smell. Melissa...The shawl is beautiful. I always loved the pineapple pattern. Linda...Glad that Alberto has blown out to sea. Hope your leak isn't too bad. I'll be back tomorrow and hopefully with less stress. Going out to walk or mow it away. Cheryl |
Oh my goodness. . . Cheryl. I really don't know how you do it. You are a truly good-hearted person, I'm sure I could never be a foster parent, I just don't have your kind of patience. How old is this girl? I mean, it's one thing to do something like that but entirely another to think it wouldn't be noticed. Hope it all cleans up OK and she settles down and realizes how lucky she is to have you. At least the car show was fun and you had that nice little $200 prize to keep your mood light.
Wow, Mel . . . I imagine you've seen things, I've never even imagined when it comes to the silly things people can do to themselves, sometimes. We've been having another gorgeous sunny day in Nova Scotia . . . although with temperature creeping into the mid-80s, I'm glad we've got a nice breeze to keep the humidity at bay. Got to get going and get some errands run before it gets any hotter although the sun is fading and I'm beginning to think it just might rain although there is nothing in the forecast to suggest that. Have a great day, everybody. Keep moving and shaking and doing all the other good stuff. See you soon. :carrot: |
Evening Crafty Ladies...Things are getting back to normal here. Think we have all the spray cans locked up, and my sewing room will remain locked as well. I did get up to my room for awhile yesterday and tries to air it out. Got a few more kids pressed together. Going to work some more on it tomorrow morning before I have to leave for WW. I've done good on my eating and got some walking in today as well. Hope the scales at WW show another loss.
Linda...The FD's are 14 and 15. Both will be in the 9th grade this year. I would like to quit foster care, been doing it for 6 1/2 years and don't think I have another four years in me. Melissa...My hubby is a correction officer, so he brought home info on huffing. It never said if throwing up is a sign or not. Do you know if it is? Be back tomorrow with scale results. Keep shaken and moving, ladies.:carrot: Hugs to you all. Cheryl |
Good Morning Ladies . . . 'iffy' weather today . . . warm, humid, partly sunny, partly cloudy . . . you know the kind.
Fairy-Fat-Mother only had room for .6 of a pound when she stopped by my house this morning, but that's OK, I'm happy with every little bit that keeps things heading in the right direction.:D YAY Cheryl . . . That is a long haul, girl. Hope the room is good as new soon and hope the Fairy-Fat-Mother is good to you this morning. Mel. . . So glad to hear the F-F-M made it to your house, too. Yippee. The only scales I think are really accurate all (or almost all) of the time are those huge balance-beam type that nobody has room for. All the little ones (digital or analog) all have their own personalities. The human body is a very difficult thing to weight because it is never completely still. I have a digital and tend to get on 3 or 4 times and take whatever comes up the most often. Have a good day, everybody. Keep moving and shaking and doing all the right stuff. See you soon. :carrot: |
Hello Ladies...Fairy fat mother did not pay me a visit. I'm up .3 lbs, but that's OK. It could of been 10 lbs with the stress I've been under. This afternoon I made it back up to my room and got the rest of the kids pressed together. Tomorrow morning I'm going to start pressing them on the quilt and start sewing them down. Stopped at the quilt shop in town to see if my quilts were back from the quilter, but they weren't. I need to call her tomorrow since she has had them almost a month. Went out to lunch after WW with my friend. Had a horrible salad at Quiznos. Nothing makes me madder than a wet hen, than when the greens are slimy and you can see it!! So why can't they, when they made the salad fresh. I should of took it back and demanded a new salad, but I didn't. I picked out all the gross stuff and ate the rest. I live 25 miles from town and barely made it home. Still feel blaaaa!!!
Melissa and Linda...So happy that the fairy fat mother made her rounds to your houses. I know that eventually she will make her way back to me. Leaving you with some tips I learned at WW today. EMPOWERING BELIEFS: I am a winner There is nothing I can't handle Be free of guilt today My possibilites are endless My family will benefit from my healthy choices POSITIVE SELF-TALK I am the best friend I have I am a capable human being I love myself for who I am I deserve to be fit I am able to handle any problems I face I WILL REACH MY GOAL Affirmation I have accomplished harder choices than this before I have the ability to reach my goals I am responsible for my own feelings Belief in myself is a step towards personal growth Just some thoughts that we should be saying to ourselves every day. Cheryl . |
Great attitude, Cheryl  and you are so right; under the cicumstances that little .3 is a definite NSV. FFM will be much better next week. I hear you about slimy salad greens . . . ugh . . . I've had a couple of packages of baby field greens that caught that little problem well before the expiry date. You are right, you should have sent it back.
Not too much going on around here . . . trying to do some crocheting to keep myself away from the kitten store . . . our local SPCA has a little prgram on the community channel and I just saw two of the cutest little tuxedo kitten twins. I'm trying to stay strong . . . I do NOT need two more cats. Have a good day, gang . . . wherever you are hiding. See you again soon. :carrot: |
Hi Gang...It's been a very long day. I have been gone most of the day, pretty tired tonight. Before I left this morning, I did get a row of kids pressed on and started sewing them down. Hope this row goes a lot faster than the last one.
Linda...I'm too nice for my own good sometimes. Yes, I should of sent the salad back and maybe I wouldn't of felt sick like I did lastnight. I know the FFM will be paying me a visit next week, I've been so good, so she has too! LOL See you tomorrow. Cheryl |
Well, Cheryl . . . looks like it's just the two of us again today. Glad to hear you are getting some kid-sewing done. I managed a little crocheting today, between naps. Our weather has turned hot, humid and it is now getting very stormy and I've had a migraine threatening all day.
Have a good evening, gang, wherever you are. Hope to see you all soon. :carrot: |
Hi Linda...Sounds like you had a pretty good day and got a couple naps in. Good for you!! Hope that migrain that was looming around didn't come about. I woke up to beautiful, very warm weather. By 10 am our weather alert was going off for sever weather that was coming in. It turned to tornado weather by noon and we lost power for about 3 hours. Lucky I wasn't up sewing at that time or on the computer.:D I got about two hours of sewing in on the kids this morning. Got an email from the lady that is doing the quilting on the quilts I left at the quilt shop today, she will have my quilts done by July 5th. That should give me plenty of time to get the binding on before I leave on vacation. Have a good evening and I will see you tomorrow. Cheryl
