Hi everyone-I had a bad binge last night. I was home alone for the second night in a row and got lonely and bored. Thats a deadly combo. Today I am trying to put it firmly in the past, and so far I'm doing ok. I went spinning and then hit some balls at the batting cage. My womens softball team has our first game next Wednesday. They bumped us up a week and we didn't find this out until yesterday. We haven't practiced yet. Should an interesting first game.

Beth-I love spinning classes. They are incredibly demanding physically and that makes me feel terrific afterwards. It also makes it a hard class to start up. I remember my first class-10 minutes into it I SERIOUSLY didn't think I could do it. I came so close to quitting and walking out. I didn't leave, but I also didn't get out of my seat anymore after that. Just sat and pedalled for the rest of the hour. It was a HUGE accomplishment to finish a full class with no modifications.

Chery-Good job on your loss! Glad your back.

meoww-Sorry for the weather. You don't want to know what its like here. Glad you got out and picked out fabric. That had to have upped your mood. I love picking out supplies and mine are nothing as beautiful as fabric.

Well, off to get something accomplished today. See ya

meowee 04-21-2006 06:41 PM

Cheryl . . . Welcome Back . . . glad to have you with us again. Good for you with those losses.

Brandy . . . You are right, I probably don't want to hear about your glorious weather. Glad to hear you are picking yourself back up and getting on with it. We all have those little binges. Falling off the wagon is not a problem unless you forget to get back on.

Big treat . . . no white stuff fell from the sky (yet) and it isn't even raining. It's still very windy and cold and no sun . . . but at least the wind has dried up the puddles. :D Starting tomorrow we're supposed to be getting a couple of days of sunshine. Boy, I do hope that is an accurate forecast.

Other than that, nothing new around here. The project is still taking most of my time (have to work tomorrow as a matter of fact) and now they tell me it will probably continue well into the summer. Hey, maybe this will teach me how to say "no" once in a while. :^:

Have a really great evening, girls. Do some extra crafty things while you continue moving and shaking down the road to better health. See you soon. :carrot:

Cheryl120 04-21-2006 11:40 PM

Brandy...WOW!! 40 pounds is awesome!! How proud you must be.:D I also have problems of wanting to binge eat when I'm alone. I try now to keep my fingers busy doing something, so I don't eat. All we can do is brush ourselfs off and get back on track.

Linda...Glad to hear you didn't get any of the white stuff. We have had rain the last couple of days. Northwest North Dakota got 12 inches of the white stuff. They can have it. Went for a nice walk yesterday, but not today. Trying to walk 1 mile a day. It's suppose to be nice tomorrow so I will be out and about for a walk.

Today I went to town and picked up my quilt from the quilter. She did a beautiful job on it. Going to start putting the binding on it tomorrow. Yesterday
I worked on my other quilt. Spent about 3 hours making sawthooth blocks for a boarder, then I can start to applique the kids on. I need to stay busy so I don't eat, weekends are really hard for me.

Have a great weekend.

Cheryl

ArtsyGirl 04-22-2006 07:30 AM

Morning ladies-I had a terrific early morning walk. My neighbor and I met at 6 and walked for about an hour. We are going to try to do this most days of the week. I hope we actually can stick with it. Its fun to have someone to go with, and we are evenly paced so thats helpful. I still haven't touched my projects this week. I need to get moving on the slippers for the wedding. They need to be done by Tuesday! (I'm adding Swarovski crystals, and pearls to dress them up) I need to call the bead shop and see if my class for tomorrow is a go or not. (I've taught it elsewhere, so the directions are ready either way) Today I'm working for a friend in her health food store. Have a great weekend.

Cheryl-keep those fingers busy and good luck for the weekend!

Meoww-did you get your sun???

meowee 04-22-2006 08:13 AM

The Return . . .

A gigantic sphere of yellowish-orange fire arose from the eastern sea this morning, and now it fills the sky. Some of the older ones think they have seen this before, long ago, but the younger ones feel much afraid.

azcyn 04-22-2006 05:48 PM

Hi Ladies...well nothing new report here..still working on loosing weight and also my crochet blanket in memory of my grandma...i was going to ask since we are all crafters..does anyone sell their crafts? Or it is for fun? I do it for fun..would love to be able to sell it but have not got that far yet..would love to hear from yall..cyn

Cheryl120 04-23-2006 12:55 PM

Hi Ladies,

Linda...Yeah the sun decided to pay you a visit. Hope it's around for at least
6 months before that white stuff flutters down from the sky.

Cyn...I send things out to my folks in Oregon to sell at the fall/christmas craft shows. You never know from year to year what will sell. This year my pot holders sold, and a couple of tablerunners, but not my placemats. I have decided to make things this year with WalMart fabric, so I can sell it cheaper. I usually use only fabric bought in a quilt shop and it sell for $8.00 and up. I'm going to start back to selling on ebay in the fall, probably quilt tops.

We are having beautiful weather, back inthe 70's. Going out for a couple of walks today. Worked on my quilt yesterday, got the side sawtooth boarders on. Today I have to square up 100 2"sawtooth blockes so I can sew them on. I also want to cut the binding out for my other quilt and get it sewed on so I can hand sew it down while watching TV tonight. Stepped on the scales this morning and I was back in the 330's. Hope for a 2lb loss for the week when I step on tomorrow.

Have a great Sunday!

Cheryl

meowee 04-23-2006 04:31 PM

Hi there all you crafty people . . . :s:

Atlantic Canada is having it's second sunny day in a row and it's even fairly warm today. Hope it continues for a nice long while.

Cyn . . . Mostly my crafting is just for the fun of it and to make friends and relatives happy. Sold a couple of quilts back quite a few years ago, now and it was sort of like selling the children (and at cut rates) so decided I'd probably not do it again.

Cheryl . . . Glad you are doing well and working up a storm on two quilts at once. I've never done a sawtooth border (don't think I'd have the patience). Do you always send your tops out to be quilted? or do you do some yourself? When I was back in Ontario, I used to get help from family and friends with hand-quilting and lots of :gossip: . Great fun.

I actually managed to get a couple of hours in on the quilted ponchos today. Half way through the piecing basics on the larger one. Since I'm doing it 'quilt-as-you-go' method, they really won't take too long if I can just get some consistent time at the machine. Also cut out some block pieces for the next project (guess I like working on more than one project at a time, too. :dizzy: )

Well, kiddos, here's some :dust: to help us through the evening. Have a great time doing whatever you are going to do. :carrot:

meowee 04-23-2006 04:56 PM

Hi Rosey . . . glad to have you with us . . . I just posted on our other board and asked you when you were coming to visit us here . . . guess I have the answer. ;)

Cheryl120 04-24-2006 01:51 PM

Hi All My Crafting Buddies!!

Rosey...Welcome!! So glad to have you join us. Sounds like you do a little bit of everything. I'm jealous! You live in Alaska and a log house no less. Bet it is beautiful.

Linda...My very first Double Wedding Ring quilt I did the hand quilting on. I have also machine quilted a queen size quilt, but I hate having all that bulk over my shoulder. Right now I send my quilts out to be done, but I hope to buy a long arm quilting machine in about 5 years and be able to do my own, plus make money on the side.

Well ladies, I'm happy to report that I lost 2 lbs. I'm back to what my tickers says. Now to stay on track and FOCUS!!

Make it a good day!

Cheryl

meowee 04-24-2006 02:05 PM

It was sunny first thing this morning . . . but it's fading fast. :( I've had no time for anything but work, work, work this morning, unfortunately. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Cheryl . . . knew you'd make it. Congratulations. I'd love one of those gigantic guilting machines but they are huge and well over a thousand dollars and they only do a certain number of patterns anyway. . . so think I'll have to pass, for all those reasons.

Have a good day, everybody. Keep on doing the good stuff. :carrot:

ArtsyGirl 04-24-2006 02:21 PM

Cheryl-Congrats on your loss!!!! :carrot:

meoww-"A gigantic sphere of yellowish-orange fire arose from the eastern sea this morning, and now it fills the sky. Some of the older ones think they have seen this before, long ago, but the younger ones feel much afraid."
YOU CRACK ME UP!!! Our sunny weather is gone replaced by cool and rainy.

Cyn-I sell some jewelry and fused glass pendants. Dont make a whole lot, but it helps feed my bead habit.

Rosy-:welcome: Sounds like you keep busy with tons of crafts!

Well, I finally pulled out the slippers the bride wanted beaded, and gave them another go. (I thought I had finished them, but she wanted MORE beads added!!-now they're pushing gaudy!) Can't account for taste.

I went for a 4 miler this morning with my neighbor. I did a turbokick class later in the morning too! I'm so addicted to exercise. :D I'm thinking about changing my goal weight. I'm the size I wanted to shoot for already. (I thought I'd need to weigh less.) PLUS, if I loose anymore, I'm afraid what little boobs I have left will dissappear!:o I'd prefer for that not to happen. Anyways, I'm happy with how I look (aside from wishing to firm up my abs a bit more for swimsuit season) and I feel very healthy. SO...I'm gonna see what it takes to maintain where I am now with exercise and healthy eating and decide in a little bit what to do. I'm open to ideas/suggestions if ya got any!

I think I might start beading a cross pendant I have due for a class sample. Then got lots of lessons to teach (piano) this afternoon/evening! Have a great one!

meowee 04-25-2006 05:08 PM

Hey there, you crafty lot . . . where is everybody . . .

Goodness Artsy, you're a pianist too? Talk about well rounded and that is definitely not a reference to your shape, you gorgeous, skinny thing. Practicing maintenance sound like a great plan for you. You can always decide later if you feel you want to lose any more. You are right to level-off at somewhere that your body is content to be. I really don't think we need anymore undernourished movie-star types in the real world. ;)

Nothing much exciting around here . . . busy, busy, busy. But I hope to get a few days for crafting (and more laundry) in the near future.

I've now got two jackets ready to get going on as well as the ponchos for the GD's. Plan to do purses to match the jackets, if I have enough fabric available and I think I will.

Can you tell, I'm in a quilting mood right now? :dizzy: Although I have to admit to buying a cute cross-stitch kit today . . . a little "Red Hat Society" saying. I'll just stick it in the pile for now.

Have a great day, gang. Move it and shake it down the road to better health. :carrot:

healthytoad 04-25-2006 06:37 PM

Hey guys...

The good news is I am down 5 lbs!

The bad news is I have a stomach bug! :p

Hope everyone is doing well! Will check in when I feel like typing more.

Beth

ArtsyGirl 04-26-2006 07:13 AM

Hi gals-Well, I got some inspiration and finished all my class samples. I was going to deliver them yesterday afternoon, but we had a class trip to our teachers studio, and went long and I had to be back into town for a blood donor appt. I guess I'll deliver them all on Thursday.

Just got back from a really cold 3.6 mile walk. (The bank temp. claims 31!!!) My fingers are having trouble typing they're so cold. I have a spinning class at 10 and the seasons first softball game at 7 tonight!! I'm gonna be busy today cuz I also have neice and nephew to babysit this morning, and lessons to teach this afternoon.

Beth-Hope you feel better soon.

meowee-Matching purses sound pretty cool! How old are your granddaughters?

Have a great day!

meowee 04-26-2006 09:05 AM

Good Morning, Crafty Ladies . . .

I too have some good news and some bad news . . .

Let's get the bad out of the way first . . . I gained .8 this morning. Why oh why does the nasty little scale- hate me? I don't deserve this. I was good this week. Can't even blame it on TOM at my age; although I do know that the body still cycles to some degree. Anyway, this too will pass. Just hope it's soon. :^: In the meantime, I refuse to change my ticker and I shall repeat the following sentence every 15 minutes for the rest of the day. If you keep on doing the right stuff, the rewards will surely follow.

and now for the good news . . . looks like I get the rest of the week off from the work-project. :) Quilting here I come. :D Yay! And the sun is shining, too.

Beth . . . hope you feel better soon. And a great big ATTAGIRL on the five pound loss. I made it green because I'm sooooo jealous.

Brandy . . . sounds like you have been really fun-busy. The GD's are 10 and 3 . . . DIL had such a tough labour with the first one it took her a bit to decide to have a second. ;) Yep, it was a lot easier the second time.

Anyway, have a great and glorious day moving and shaking the world. See you soon, gang. :carrot:

Cheryl120 04-26-2006 07:49 PM

Linda...I just found a pattern to do a crazy quilted jacket for my GD's. Good way to use up a little of my fabric stash.:D Hope you post a picture of the jackets and purses when you get them done.

Beth...WHOOHOO on your 5lbs! Awesome!!!

Brandy...Boy! you are a move'n and a shaking with your exercise.:carrot: How did your softball game turn out? Hope you get warm weather soon.

I was shocked to see I lost a pound this morning.:D Not changing my ticker till monday morning. Maybe I will have a bigger surprise. I hope, I hope , I hope!! Beautiful, warm weather here. We are 75, with a slight breeze. Don't you just love Spring!

Chit chat with you gals tomorrow. Have a good night.

Cheryl

ArtsyGirl 04-27-2006 07:59 AM

Hi ladies-Looks like it'll be a nice day out here. I'll be spinning at 9, and not sure about later. I took a day off from the morning walk thing. I'm glad we did cuz I'm a little tired.

Softball game-we had to forfeit. We started a week earlier than expected and 3 of our girls are in exams at college. 3 others just didn't show even though they said they would. Not the best way to start the season. ANYWAYS, the other team stayed and we scrimmaged for an hour and had a blast.

Cheryl-Great job on the lost pound!!!

Linda-Hope your still hanging in there with the positive reinforcement quote. I think matching purses would just be SO adorable on girls that age. You gotta take a pic when you're done! Glad you're gonna get some time away from the work project.

Have a great one!

meowee 04-27-2006 08:31 AM

Hi there . . . After my partial meltdown of yesterday, I'm back in the groove for today. Actually yesterday finished up OK in total; just not exactly what I would call a balanced diet . . . too much starch and fruit. Not bad from a weight control point of view but not too good from a diabetes control angle.

Sun hasn't put in an appearance yet today, but it is forecast for later so I certainly hope they are right.

Thought I'd pop in here to say hello before getting back to my quilting projects. Actually the jackets and purses are for my SIL and myself. The ponchos are for the girls, but you've definitely got me thinking of matching purses for the girls too. I have lots of that fabric left over.

See you soon, ladies. Keep on moving and shaking and heading in the downward direction. :carrot:

ArtsyGirl 04-28-2006 10:04 AM

ooohhhh-you've just gotta make matching purses for the girls!!! They'll absolutely LOVE them!!!! My niece (almost 4) has walked into my house and started crying because she has no "pretties" on!!! (She knows I'll find some piece of jewelry she can have) She cracks me up sometimes!

Well, I had a bad day yesterday. Didn't feel right, ate to much and slept to much. Feeling better today though. 4 mile walk this morning and going to a class this afternoon. I'll do my best eating wise, but I've been having some serious issues with giving into things I know I shouldn't be eating.

Have a great FRIDAY!!!!!

meowee 04-28-2006 01:35 PM

Not only are the basics for the purses cut out so are the major pieces for mathing hats. And I finally got the first (larger) poncho finished. I like it. Hope Pumpkin (nickname of the older GD) does. The little one gets called Peanut.

Don't you just love the way they learn to manipulate us so young. It's so much fun spoiling them . . . especially when you can send them home for somebody else to cope with later on. :D I always tell my son and DIL "that's why grandparents where invented".

Don't chastise yourself for your bad day. We all have them from time to time. I know there are lots of things I should never allow into the house because I have no control around them. The other side of that story, of course, is that we have to learn how to handle these temptations eventually. Sometimes I think it would be so much easier if we could just stop eating completely. Quitting smoking was hard, but not as hard as losing weight.

You have a great day. It's beginning to look like this is our own private forum. Wonder where everybody else has gotten too? They'll probably wander back eventually. See you later. :carrot:

Cheryl120 04-29-2006 01:02 PM

Brandy...Sorry to hear you had to forfeit your game, but it sounds like you still had fun. Hope you are having a better eating wise.

Linda...Sounds like you are pretty busy whipping out the purses, hats and ponchos. Hope you post a picture when they are done.

It has been pretty stressful for me the last couple of days. My foster daughters boyfriend was killed Wednesday afternoon in an ATV accident. Another loss that we need to help her get through. When I'm stressed, I graze:moo: Good thing that all I have in the house to eat are fresh fruit, broccoli and mushrooms. Going up stairs and get a label printed out for my quilt. Also want to get the last two rows of sawtooth blocks on my quilt so I can start to applique the kids on. Monday, I go to Fargo to take my first class on my new sewing machine. I can't wait!

Cheryl

akrosey49 04-29-2006 03:07 PM

Morning crafters.. sunny here today in alaska and my dh has gone to a sports show with friends soooo thats gives me time for myself..now that hes retired my time is not alwys mine..cheryl what kind of new sewing machine do you have? i just got a new paff this past fall and love it.. before that i had a viking( it was 25 yrs old tho and i retired it to my dd house).. im working on a cheater quilt.. you know the preprinted baby panel ones.. altho im hand quilting it..recently did some bead work for a beneift.. made a beaded pouch necklace.. pair of earrings and a barrett on leather.. it had been awhile since i had worked with beads but picked it right up again.. forgotton how much i liked to do that craft.. am getting to know you all and i love all crafts..not sure what the day will bring but hope its a good one for me and all of you.. rosey

Cheryl120 04-29-2006 08:29 PM

Rosey...My husband bought me a Brother Innovis Embroidery/Sewing machine. I haven't used it as yet. Once I start a quilt on a certain machine, I finish on that machine. My other machine is a Brother 8500 embroidery/sewing machine. I plan on doing a lot of machine embroidery for my grandkids and the rest of the gang in the coming months. This new machine I'm going to love. 1st, you thread around three eyes, push a button and it threads the needle with a puff of air. 2nd, I can sew and fill a bobbin at the same time. 3rd, You don't have to take the embroidery unit off to sew, like I have to on my 8500. It also has a lot of built in Disney designs. Tomorrow, I'm going to take it out of the case and get familar with it.:D

Cheryl

meowee 04-30-2006 11:22 AM

Just came up from my sewing room for a little break. Actually, since it's in the basement, even though it is carpeted, my feet were getting cold. Should move the sewing machine up to my sunroom/familyroom; but then when the heat of summer hits, I appreciate the coolness in the basement. Glad I'm not fussy, or anything. ;)

Cheryl . . . wow, your new machine sounds like it can do everything, including think for itself . . . enjoy the lessons (especially the one that tells you how to make it understand that you're the boss).

Rosey . . . I love my Pfaff (great German engineering) although it is now almost 15 years old and the bobbin-winding mechanism is getting a bit temperamental. Might be getting close to needing a new one. Before the Pfaff, I had a Singer. They used to be a great machine when they were still making them in North America.

Have a great day, ladies. Keep being crafty. :s: See you soon. Meanwhile keep moving and shaking. :carrot:

:tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum:

Hi gals. I'm having a rough day-I am a church organist. Went to work this morning as usual-played early service, stayed for bible class, played late service. Went to my truck to go home, and someone has smashed my window and stolen my purse. I am still in shock that someone would steal and vandalize in a church parking lot. So, got home, cancelled my personal credit/debit cards and then waited for hubby to get home to cancel all the joint things. As soon a Craig got home we called on the other cards so that was all taken care of within 2 hours of me finding the smashed window. I still can't believe it. I park out near the road and no one saw or heard anything. I hope they BURN for robbing and vandalizing in a CHURCH lot. Hopefully karma will come and bite them in the *ss. I had about $60 cash and a $25 gc card-so not terrible damage, but to replace my drivers license and insurance cards its gonna be a pain. (This will be my 4th drivers license in a year cuz I lost 2 of them in the fall!! The DMV is gonna get suspicious of me soon!) Needless to say I'm having a crappy day. I now am sitting here with a bottle of raspberry wine trying to relax. I'm sorry to rant, but I am still in shock and really in the anger stage of a stress situation.

meowee 05-01-2006 08:43 AM

Oh wow, Brandy, that really is the lowest of the low. So sorry.

Well, gang, I've been wandering about setting up new threads for May, but I really don't think we need one yet . . . so I just left well enough alone. :D

See you all soon. Have a great day. So far things are quiet on the 'work-project front' but i don't imagine it will last too much longer. Hey at least the sun is shining again.

ArtsyGirl 05-02-2006 07:34 AM

Morning gals-I'm feeling better emotionally. I have my polymer clay class today. That will help as I have referred to the class as my "therapy" for years now. Its so fun to craft together.

I walked 4 miles again this morning. My body hurts from all the tension I held Sunday. I feel like someone beat me up. Think I'll put off a second workout until later today and maybe go for a bike ride.

Have a great one!

meowee 05-02-2006 08:13 AM

Good Morning . . . it's raining again . . . at least we had a few days of consecutive sunshine, so I'll try not to be too greedy . . . but the dampness this Spring has been terrible for my arthritis.

Glad you are feeling better about recent events, Brandy. Have a great 'therapy' session.

Hey, gang, where are the rest of you hiding? Come out, come out wherever you are. :carrot:

akrosey49 05-02-2006 02:22 PM

Morning everyone..hope u are all having a greatday.. sry artsy girl that u got robbed at a church no less thats just awful.. what goes around comes around..i have worked with polymer clay.. what do you teach or make?? i made alaskan themed x-mas ornaments with mine.. sorta like building a ship in a bottle.. i first made the figures small enuff to fit into the top of a clear glass ornament.. then added un- baked clay to the inside and then dropped the figures into it and positioned them with a pencil and a long tweezer.. then rebaked them.. they had scenes with trees. snow, igloos, moose, bears, eskimos ,seals, dog sleds etc in them..ive sold alot of them at local gift stores and they where a blast to make..i tried making beads but not to successful with that..i like sharing idea and hope u all do too.. not sure whats on the agenda today but you can be assured it wont be housework:rofl: ill check in later (((hugs))) rosey

ArtsyGirl 05-02-2006 07:31 PM

Hi guys-I ended up leaving class early today so I could get my truck window fixed. We're making a bookmark right now. We usually focus on jewelry and I'm glad for a change since when I wear jewelry its my glass or beadwork. I dont teach PC use it for socializing/therapy! I do teach beadwork a couple of places. I've made a few ornaments like what you're describing. My favorite was a sculpted cat inside and a sculpted beagle on the outside drooling trying to get the kitty!!!! I didn't do a second workout today. I really am sore so I'm giving myself a bit of rest. I've got spinning class and a softball game tomorrow (also m 4 mile walk in the am if the rain clears up). I'm excited to have a very full day for my birthday. It'll feel good to do so much activity when a year ago I couldn't do half of it!!! Now that is something to celebrate!!!!! Have a great evening.

Cheryl120 05-02-2006 09:16 PM

[COLOR="Purple"]Brandy...Happy Birthday!:hb: Hope you had a teriffic day.:hug: My Birthday is Saturday.:D

Linda...Yes, my machine is very smart. Even knows when you have a wrong foot on for embroidery. Had my class yesterday, and I enjoyed it so much. I have been doing machine embroidery for 7 years, but not the correct way. I'm really going to be doing a lot of embroidery work now. I have another class to go to on the 13th for the sewing part.

Today I designed a label for my quilt. Have to iron it on fabric, make the label and sewing it on the quilt. Hope to post a picture of the quilt on Thursday.

It's been a couple of very busy and hectic days for us. I'll come back tomorrow to post some more personals.

:woo: . . . HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRANDY . . . :woo:

Wow . . . I am feeling really down today. The weather is dull and overcast and I match it. :( Strange thing is, I got to move my ticker .8 to the right and usually I can get excited about every little SV, but this morning all I can think about is how far I've got to go. :?:

Didn't get any sewing time in yesterday and the way today is going, I'd better just hibernate because it would likely turn into one of those days when you spend more time ripping out than sewing in. :o

Well, I'd better go off about my business before I manage to infect everybody else with my downer of a mood. Keep on moving and grooving, gang. :carrot:

:grouphug: Thanks for understanding and thanks for just being here.

Artsy! So sorry to hear about the theft! I am glad it was replaceable "things" and not you!

I'm feeling better this week, and have gained some back. But I am where I should have been this week if I hadn't been sick, so I am really down two official pounds lol

I'm working on a grapes and crystal painting, and a sculpty doll. I'm going to try and do one of the fairies like they have on ebay..I can sew, I can sculpt.. I can do that! lol

Happy Birthday to the Birthday Girls!! :woo:

Beth and Linda...Congrats on your weight loss!! I gained a pound, all that grazing I was doing over the weekend. New week, which is a good thing!

Brandy...So sorry to hear your truck was broken into. I believe in Karma! What goes around, comes around. They will get there's, you may not see it, but it will happen.

Linda...Hope you are out of your funk real soon!

It was cold and windy here today. Talk of snow coming in after midnight. I do not want to see any white stuff floating down from the sky till Nov, if I'm lucky.
Got the tag sewed on my quilt tonight. As promised, I'm posting a picture of it.
Not a real good picture, the quilt is so big and not enough room in my livingroom to show it properly.

A little bit about the quilt. It's called "Minnesota Blizzard". The colors are: forest green, navy blue, gold, cream, sage green and burgandy in prints, solids and plaids.

Hi everyone-

Thanks for all the well wishes. I had a terrific bday. We actually got to play a game of softball instead of having to forfeit (we weren't sure for awhile). We got mercied because our pitcher couldn't make the game and none of the rest of us can get the ball over the plate.:o We still had fun though.

Cheryl-Your quilt is beautiful. You have such talent!!! I hope karma bites them in the *ss! (Sorry, still very angry) Hope the snow stayed away.

Linda-How ya doing?

Beth-hows the fairy going? I haven't sculpted since around Christmas. BUT, I saw a gorgeous pic. of a dragon sculpture, so my mind is boiling over with ideas.

Rosey-housework-UGH!
