Hi gang . . . I'm still feeling down . . . my exercising is down too; all the way to non-existent . . . the only thing not on a downswing is my eating. Luckily I don't have any really junky stuff to eat in the house but I sure can overdo it on the healthy stuff (about 2300 calories yesterday).

Glad you are feeling better, Beth. And congratulations on the loss.

The quilt is lovely, Cheryl. How did you come up with the name?

Oh, Rosey. Housework is probably the only thing that could make me feel worse than I already do. That's really depressing. So sorry.

Glad you had a good day, Brandy. Put the actions of those idiots behind you. Look at the good side, I bet you never leave your purse in the car again. Another one of those little 'life-lessons'. :)

Have a good day, everybody. Keep moving and shaking. :carrot: See you soon. And I will :kickbutt: myself into a better mood, really soon. :^:

meowee 05-05-2006 10:04 AM

Good Morning, Crafty-ones . . . wherever you are?

Still no sunshine around here, but I am definitely in better humour although a little tired since I didn't sleep well. Yesterday finished up a lot better than it started. Calories finished up at about 1400, so my two day average is just about on track. Exercise consisted of only some mall-crawling, but every little bit helps. :D

Not expecting anything too exciting on the work-project front today. I hope. :^: So maybe I'll even get some time with the quilted clothing projects that have been ignored too much this week.

Have a good day, gang. Keep it moving and shaking and you'll stay headed in the right direction . . . downward. See you soon. :carrot:

ArtsyGirl 05-05-2006 08:23 PM

Hi all-I haven't been very crafty this week. I did get some weeding done today, and my exercise has been up there. I don't like to make things when I'm in a bad mood, and I'm still adjusting to all the feelings that go along with the vandalizm/theft. The thoughts in my head are better not to be expressed in a permanent item.

meowee-good job with your calorie counting. Did you find anything cool on the mall-crawl? I love shopping even if its just window shopping. In fact, I have more fun if I don't have anything I really need to find.

Hope everyone had a great Friday!

meowee 05-06-2006 01:47 PM

Hi everybody.

It was a beautiful morning, but this afternoon, it has clouded over again and it's getting cooler. Wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Finally got some sewing done. Switched over to piecing the squares to make the yardage for my jacket. Its the first project I've tried using the "stack and whack" method and I'm not too sure I really like it. A bit too 'random' for my taste or something. Hopefully I'll like it better once it is actually together.

Brandy . . . I never do any crafting when I don't feel good - either physically or emotionally - things just never work out right. I think the way you said it really expresses your true artistic nature. Hopefully your thoughts will be worthy of permanence again really soon.

Cheryl . . . Where are you hiding. Happy Birthday. Hope it's a great day.

Well think I'll start piecing the rows for my yardage. Have a great day, all. Keep moving and shaking and heading in that great downward direction. See you soon. :carrot:

ArtsyGirl 05-06-2006 06:54 PM

I went and watched my hubby compete in a dualthalon this morning. :running: :bike2: :running: He did really well. It was a pretty morning too. A little chilly but bright and sunny. We did lots of errands and then I hoed the garden for 2 hours. I'm definetly counting that as a workout! I am sore in my back and arms.

meowee-Glad you got some sewing into your busy schedule. I cant wait to see a picture of those jackets!

Cheryl-:woo: Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a great one.

Cheryl120 05-06-2006 09:41 PM

Hi!

Thought I'd better check in. I was gone yesterday and most of today. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a pretty nice birthday. Out for lunch with my husband and then I went to the movies with my friend. Saw Mission Impossible 3. It was pretty good.

Sewed on my quilt this morning, got the last boarder on. Now I'm ready to sew the kids on. Went to the fabric shop this afternoon, bought the fabrics I need to make a baby quilt for my new grandchild that is expected in Oct. Also bought the fabric I needed for the kids body parts. I still need a couple more shades, but have to go to Fargo to find them.

Linda...Minnesota Blizzard was the name of the pattern. Glad you are feeling better and getting some sewing done.:D

Brandy...I don't work on any projects when I am upset or not feeling well. I end up ripping out more than sewing, then I'm really in a bad mood.

Beautiful weather here today, we are 78. I got out and got a walk in, felt good. Have a good weekend.

Cheryl

Cheryl120 05-07-2006 08:13 PM

Hi gang...Has not been a good day for me. I burnt the roof of my mouth and it hurts like you can't believe. Cold water even makes it hurt. Can't believe some of the stupid things I do.

Got home from church and decided to clean the house so I can goof off and sew tomorrow. I'd rather sew than do anything else if you get right down to it!

Beautiful weather here today. We were 80, but now the sky is looking a little green. We are under a sever thunderstorm watch. Just so we have no tornado's that decide to pay a visit, I'll be happy.

Have a great evening.

Cheryl

meowee 05-07-2006 08:37 PM

Looks like I'm following you around again, Cheryl. So sorry you burned the roof of your mouth . . .and they tell us carrots are good for us. ;)

I'll have to get and learn how to use a digital camera, before I can post any pictures, Brandy. But it is one of the things on my wish list.

Nice and sunny and relatively cool around Nova Scotia today. That's the kind of weather I love. Supposed to continue much the same for a couple of days. Got a fair bit done on the quilted clothing projects today. Tomorrow it will be back to the old work-project. With a small side trip to the mall because I broke the carafe to my coffee maker last night and although I really like a good cup of tea, I'll start craving coffee if I know I can't have it.

Keep being crafty ladies. See you soon. :carrot:

ArtsyGirl 05-08-2006 01:02 PM

 :coffee: Hope you got your carafe replaced! I don't think I can function without my cup of joe-sure don't want to test this out.

My weekend was lots of fun, but not good eating wise. I'm back on track for the week though. Got 2 hours of workout in, but I still want to try a 15 minute run. I think I lost my motivation somewhere between deciding to try it and actually doing it.:o

Well, I'm off. I hope you're having a great start to your week.

meowee 05-09-2006 06:29 PM

Hi Brandy  . . . wonder where everyone else is hiding?

Spent most of my day in a little town about 50 miles away . . . periodontist (never a fun time) followed by lunch (fish and chips, oh bad, but I only ate 1/2; my stomach just didn't want all that grease since it's gotten used to better food) and shopping with a friend.

Probably would have made a better lunch choice if the old scale- had been a little nicer this morning. First he told me up 2, then I had a big (well, you know) and thought I'd try again so then he said up another 2 for a total of plus 4. Now I know that really isn't possible and it's just water-weight or something, but it's still depressing. :?: I refuse to move my ticker . . . it just cannot go in that direction. Hopefully everything will be fine by next week as long as I stay in control. :^: And I will.

At least I got the coffee situation under control . . . couldn't find a carafe for my old machine so I bought a whole new coffee maker, but a fairly cheap one. I'm drinking its first cup of coffee as I type. Not too bad, but I don't think it extracts as well as the old one, so it may need a little more coffee for the same amount of water. But it sure tastes good after almost two days without any. :D

My friend is looking for a dress for her youngest son's wedding in July and there is just nothing out there. . . everything is too casual looking for the Mother of the Groom even though it is a summer wedding. She's sort of hinting around about how she wished she could sew like me . . . but so far I haven't taken the bait. I've just got too much else on my plate right now, but I'll probably weaken.

Have a good evening everybody . . . wherever you are and whatever you do. See you soon. :carrot:

meowee 05-10-2006 04:43 PM

Where are you, gang . . . I haven't had any crafting time today and I need to read about your projects to be able to get a little vicarious "fix".

ArtsyGirl 05-10-2006 08:18 PM

No crafting for me except for the polymer clay/ wire work bookmark I finished in class Tues. and a simple restring of a necklace for a friend. We played a softball game in the pouring rain today. It started coming in torrents in the middle of the first inning. At mid 3rd inning, we got delayed cuz of lightening, but then did get to finish. We were all completely soaked (we're talking wring out drenched) and freezing, but we really had a blast. It was a close game, and we ended up losing by 1 run, but we played well so its ok. I also did a hard spinning class this morning, but then came home and pigged out. I hate it when I do that. The good thing is that I was able to stop myself and get back on track for the rest of the day.

meowee-I have an extra baseball bat you can borrow to take care of that scale! Glad you got your:coffee2: back-thats a necessity in my house. I get a little cranky without it!

See ya'll tomorrow.

Cheryl120 05-11-2006 12:04 PM

Morning ladies,

Been down in the dumps the last couple of days. hopefully I'll pull myself out and start feeling like my old self again:D I have done nothing but attend meeting since Monday, when I don't feel like doing anything but stay home. Haven't done any sewing, but with the mood I'm in, I'd be doing more ripping out than sewing, which would just put me in a worse mood. I did go through my fabric stash yesterday and pull out fabric for the clothes for the kids. I also cut out the templates to make them.
Had my weigh in yesterday, and my scales said 338.4. Half hour later, I'd weighed at WW and their's said 342.3. It really discourages me with that much of a difference! I've decided for my own peace of mind, I'm only going to go by my scales for now on. Also think I'm only going to do WW meetings for another 2 months and then just get the support I need from you and put that $11.00 a week in a kitty for something special.
Linda and Brandy, I hope you both have a teriffic day.

Cheryl

meowee 05-11-2006 02:34 PM

Brandy . . . Congratulations on both the game win and the pig-out stoppage. Way to go, girl.

Cheryl . . . Absolutely right about sticking to only one scale. Personally I have to agree that's a lot of money for somebody to weigh you every week. For those who enjoy the whole go-to-meeting thing I guess it's well spent.

No crafting for me either, but only because I've been so busy with other junk. Looks like that will be slowing down for a week or two, so I hope to get going with the projects again.

Anyway, girls, keep moving and shaking and I'll be talking to you again soon. :carrot:

meowee 05-12-2006 05:03 PM

Come out and play, ladies . . . it's lonely in here.

Actually I've had a 'funny' day. Haven't done much of anything, it seems, but I'm totally worn out by it. At least it has been a gorgeous sunny day with temperatures in the mid-60's. Wish it could be like this all the time, all year. But guess that would get boring after a time. :dizzy:

Well I'd better get back to doing a lot of nothing. See you soon. :carrot:

ArtsyGirl 05-13-2006 07:33 AM

Morning gals-I'm teaching a bead stringing class this morning. I usually only teach beadweaving classes, but the owner of the shop is on vacation and these ladies really wanted a class today, so I got suckered into saying I'd do it. I can't imagine what to teach them. You string beads! I guess I teach them how to add a clasp and crimp. So easy compared to teaching a pattern. Maybe I'll have time to make something too!

meowee-I am jealous of your nice weather. We are stuck in a circling pattern of rain that isn't leaving in the foreseeable future.

Cheryl-I've never tried the whole WW thing. I just figured I'm not great at doing weekly meetings, and really dont have the cash to afford it. I say find what works for you and you are comfortable with and go at it!

Well, hope you all have a terrific Saturday!

meowee 05-13-2006 11:30 AM

Another nice day. Hope they keep on coming this way for a long while yet.

I'd try to send it your way, Brandy, but I don't think I'm strong enough to get the Gulf Stream to suddenly start flowing in reverse. I bet you'll find lots of things to teach them. If it was as easy as sticking a bead on a piece of wire or thread, it would never hold your attention for long. Have fun. ;)

I did a little bit of piecing this morning and then decided I needed to make my weekly big pot of "Sanity Soup". See you all soon, gang. Keep on moving and shaking and doing the right stuff. :carrot:

Cheryl120 05-14-2006 12:11 PM

Morning Ladies and Happy Mother's Day!

Brandy...How did your class go? I've never done beading, but I'm thinking about adding some beading to some of my quilt projects. I'm getting ready to start a quilted jacket and I might add beads to make the flowers pop out!

Linda...How are the poncho's coming along?

Well ladies, I'm finally out of my funk and back to my old self:D...Yesterday, dh and I went to Fargo for my sewing class, and I learned sooooo much! I love my machine more and more each day!!! This machine sews sideways!! So I can sew a strap on a bag and not have to stuggle with moving the bag and dealing with bulk. I'm just amazed with everything this machine can do and I can't wait to start making clothes for my grandkids!

Had lunch at a buffet place and I did good. We had lunch early afternoon, so I skipped eating dinner since I wasn't hungry. Hubby is my slave today, he has to cook all meals and do the dishes and I can do what ever I want today. Going up and turn some smooth jazz on the CD player and sew the backing to my daughter and son's quilt. I want to be able to leave the quilts with the quilter when I go to town on Wednesday.

Yesterday, I bought two new patterns at the quilt shop. One is a tote bag/backpack combo and the other is a beautiful quilted jacket pattern. I'm going to make a jacket for myself using all the quilting/sewing theme fabric I've been saving for years and I'm also going to make one for my Mom. The backpack I'm going to make for myself as well. It has a pocket to hold a 20 oz water bottle. I want something to hold my water and my walkman when I go walking, and this light weight backpack will do the trick I think.

Have a great day my friends.

Cheryl:hug:

meowee 05-14-2006 05:13 PM

Happy Mother's Day . . .

Another beautiful sunny and mild (but not hot) day in Atlantic Canada. Hope they just keep on coming and coming.

The backpack sounds like a great idea, Cheryl. Must admit I like fabric bags/purses of any kind because they are generally so much lighter than the leather kind.

Wow, I didn't even know they had patterns for such things, or for quilted clothing for that matter. I tend to just make up my own based on any basic clothing style-pattern. Guess I tend to sew/knit/crochet/etcetera the same way I cook. I've never actually 'followed' a recipe either. :D I do my quilts that way too. I find the most enjoyment from the 'design' phase of the process. The piecing, quilting, and finishing phases seem to drag a bit. Probably why I've got notebooks stuffed full of designs that will never actually come to fruition. :o

The ponchos are finished, but I'm rethinking the matching purses because my poncho/jacket 'thingie' is also finished (and I've worn it and had bunches of compliments on it) It will definitely not be getting a purse. The shape of the garment does not like having a strap over its shoulder, nor does it like the seat belt in the car either. The sleeveless vest for my SIL is almost done and it will get a purse. ;)

I'm looking for a simple to use, not too expensive digital camera. When I find one and figure it out, I'll hopefully post some pictures. Any suggestions?

Well gotta go pick up the stuff the cats just knocked over. Nothing serious, just a little messy. Amazing how innocent they can look when they know they've done a 'baddy'.

Have a great day, ladies. Keep moving and shaking and heading in the proper downward direction. See you all soon. :carrot:

meowee 05-15-2006 02:13 PM

Hey gang . . . it's Monday . . . time to come out and play. I miss you.

ArtsyGirl 05-15-2006 02:46 PM

Come out come out wherever you are!!!

Hi gals-I had a nice weekend, but I ate too much. I'm doing a binge free challenge for the week so wish me luck. I actually made some bracelets and earrings over the weekend to give to my sis and SIL. It was very simple stringing, but it was nice to get something done.

My class was a disastor! They have a new girl helping while the owner is away. She jumped in and started helping the ladies in my class whenever I was busy with a different student. Well, I never thought much about it, she was trying to help me out, I really haven't seen much of her work though. Needless to say, all the crimps she "helped" the ladies do broke, and I ended up fixing 4 bracelets apologizing my a** off. I was and still am mortified.:o I never even thought to check her work, so completely my fault. Anyways, the ladies were real nice about everything so it could have been worse, but definetly the worst class I've ever taught.

Its still raining here. I am so tired of rain. I want to bike outside so much, but even when it quits for a short time, the roadsides are all flooded and passing cars would drown me.

I gotta run and get my house cleaned before my first students show up. I hope you are all doing well. It sounds like your projects are moving along well. Keep it up. I can't wait for pics. I hope you get your camera soon!!!

Cheryl120 05-15-2006 10:43 PM

Hi,

Brandy...So sorry to hear your bead class was a disaster with the very helpful/not so helpful assistant. I've had that experience in some quilting classes I have taken, were some students think they know more than the teacher.

Linda...I bought my foster daughter a digital camera for christmas. I bought it for under $50 at Radio Shack. She is able to hook it up to the computer and down load her pictures.

It was cool here today, but suppose to warm back up by the weekend. Went to South Dakota with my hubby to buy a car part. Stopped at a quilt shop and I found some beautiful bright Orange Batik that I need for a wallhanging I'm going to make in Feb. Also bought a couple of patterns. One is a Backpack Tote and the other is a wearable Sweatshirt Jacket. The backpack measures:14 wide by 19 1/2 tall, 5 1/2 deep. The jacket is made over a sweatshirt as the lining.

Linda...If you are interested in the patterns, I can PM you with the web address and phone #.

I'm home tomorrow...YEAH!!!!...Got the fabric for my little kids washed, so I can start cutting out the pieces and getting them placed on the quilt. I also need to sew the backing together for my daughters quilt. Going to drop off two quilts to the quilters on Wednesday.

Have a great night girls and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Cheryl

Hi! I'm a newbie here on this group.I'm an owner of a scented biz so I thought I'd come aboard.:D I'm 36,will be divorced June 12th,I have 3 boys,2 pug dogs & I live in Ohio.:D I need to lose 46 pounds to be where I need to be to look good.Once I get there I'd like to get another 15 off & be where I was prior to babies.:D Looking forward to meeting everyone.

meowee 05-16-2006 09:36 AM

Good Morning all you crafty little things . . . :s: Another sunny morning . . . but they are predicting a few days of rain starting this afternoon and we certainly need it . . . parts of the province are already having some serious forest-fire problems. :(

Brandy . . . I know you'd love to send me some of your rain. I certainly know how depressing the constant rain can get. Sorry to hear about the class. It's so hard to tell somebody like that to stop trying to be so helpful when you know they mean well. Hopefully she finally got the hint. :dizzy:

Cheryl . . . For some reason I never thought of Radio Shack . . . I'll have to take a look. Sounds like it might be just about my speed (although it would probably be twice as much up here). Thanks for the suggestion. Does your quilt shop have a web-site? Maybe you could post a link?

Angie . . . Welcome to the group. What is your 'scented business'? I'm thinking candles and stuff? Good luck with your journey. Hope we'll be seing less of you more often. ;)

Have a great day moving and shaking your way on the great downward road, gang. See you soon. :carrot:

ArtsyGirl 05-16-2006 09:45 AM

:welcome: Meagan!

Scented candles or lotions (or am I completely off track?) It sure sounds like you have your hands full right now. Hope we can offer some support when needed. What kind of diet/exercise program are you doing? I'm trying to maintain right now. I had a bad week last week so this week I'm buckling down. I'm scared I'll undo all the progress I made so I'm being extra cautious with any gains and trying to get them gone ASAP!

Cheryl-I love orange-what kind of wallhanging are you going to make it for. I cant believe you have plans as far in advance as feb. I'm lucky if I know what I'm doing tomorrow:o .

Wake up Linda! We all came to play!

ArtsyGirl 05-16-2006 09:49 AM

Sorry Linda it took me along time to finish my post and I overlapped you! Good morning.

akrosey49 05-16-2006 02:31 PM

Cheryl120 05-16-2006 02:57 PM

:welcome3: Angie...Look forward to getting to know you. MMMmmmm I'm thinking scented candles, which I love.

Linda...You might also check ebay for a digital camera. I don't have the web address for the shop I just visited in SD. First time I was there, but check out fabshophop.com. Every two to three months they have a shop hop where you hop form one quilt shop to another looking for a bunny to win prizes. I enjoy visiting the different shops from around the country and Canada. They all carry different fabrics, patterns, books and gifts.

Brandy...I hate to say it, but I'm a neat nick/perfectionist. I sew/quilt by a to do list of projects I want/or need to get done. I mark them off as I finish them.
I let you know tonight the name of the wallhanging, but I have all fo the fabric bought for it. It will be done in Batiks, and I can't wait for Feb to get here.

Rosey...Congrats on loosing 18 pounds so far. Your doing better than me. I've lost 17 lbs, but have hit a wall. I decided this week to lower my points and see if that helps. I'm only going to attend the WW meetings till the end of July, then do it on my own and with my buddys here.

Got the backing sewed together for my daughter's quilt. Tomorrow I'm going to buy the batting for the quilts and drop them off at the quilt shop for the quilter to pick up. I also ironed the fabric's for the baby quilt I'm starting for my new grandchild and also the fabric's for the kid's body parts. Tomorrow I will iron wonder under on the fabric's and draw out the body parts and get them cut out so I can place them on the quilt and press them down so I can start to applique. OH Fun!!!
Cheryl

meowee 05-17-2006 07:18 AM

Good Morning, gang . . . I'm looking at a very, very busy day today so this will just be a short little 'Hello'.

This was my official wwi morning and unfortunately my body is working at maintenance even though my mind is trying hard for weight-loss. :( Hopefully things will be better next week. :^: In the meantime, I'll just keep plodding along in the believe that doing the right stuff will bring the rewards my way eventually. :)

The good news is that I got a camera yesterday . . . an HP E327 . . . now all I have to do is learn how to use it. I'm not good with mechanical devices, so give me a few days (weeks) to see if I can figure it out.

See you soon, gang. Hopefully I'll get back later on today. In the meantime, keep it moving and shaking. :carrot:

Cheryl120 05-17-2006 05:19 PM

Well I finally got to move my ticker.:carrot: :carrot: Weighed this morning with no clothes and my scale said 337.6. With clothes I was 340, went to WW and their scales said 343.2...up .9 pounds from last week. Really put me in a foul mood, but then I decided to just take what my scale said and forget WW.

Linda...Congrats on maintaining and on the new digital camera.

Brandy...The wallhanging I'm going to make is call "Summer Salsa", it's a varriation of the Lonestar pattern. I was going to post a picture of it , but I can't get it to work. Will do it later after my hubby get home and can help me.
Cheryl

meowee 05-18-2006 09:48 AM

Good Morning . . . so far I've managed to get the batteries in the camera and the on-line instruction manual loaded. Other than that, I'm feeling extremely digitally challenged. Hopefully I'll figure out how to take a picture and load it to the internet before the camera becomes totally obsolete. :dizzy:

See you soon, gang. Keep heading in the great downward direction. :carrot:

Morning Gals:hug: ...Just a quick check in so I can post the picture of the wallhanging I'm going to be making.

ArtsyGirl 05-18-2006 12:38 PM

Hi gals, hope your having a wonderful day.

I taught a group of about 10 girl scouts last night. We had started a necklace way back in Feb. and finally got together again to finish it. It was a night filled with knots, but everyone wore their necklace home and they were all happy. It is so amazing how loud a group of 9-12 year olds can be!!!!

Cheryl-I LOVE that wall hanging. It is stunning. I can't believe you can control yourself and not start it immediatly!!!!

Linda-Glad you got the camera (and the batteries loaded!) Can't wait till you master it.

I think I'll have my hubby help me tonight, and try to post a picture of the necklace the girls made last night. Maybe if I watch him do it, I'll figure it out!

Cheryl120 05-18-2006 02:39 PM

Brandy...My hubby helped me post the picture this morning. I wrote each step down so I will be able to do it by myself next time. He even showed me how to go into Photo Suite and change the size of the picture, that was why I couldn't post it last night.

meowee 05-18-2006 06:12 PM

Hi again, girls . . . I'm back . . . and pleased to say that I did NOT make a complete pig of myself at lunch today. Had a pizza buffet but actually made some fairly wise choices and got full without needing a gigantic amount of food. So now I'll have a salad-based dinner and the day is not going to be a total disaster. Yippee.

Think I'll just do a point and click with the new camera tomorrow and then get down to the business of trying to figure out how to post something on the net. Hope you guys are really up on this stuff, because I know I'll have questions.

Cheryl . . . that is a really beautiful wall-hanging. It looks like a very challenging project with all those sharp angles; but it will be a real masterpiece when it's done. Hopefully, you won't be able to wait until February. I know I'd have to get started on it sooner. But of course, that's one of my problems . . . I always want to start something new and it can be years before I actually get back to finishing the previous project. So don't let me contaminate you with my disorganized style. :o

Brandy . . . I'd love to see some of your work. I was thinking about dragging out some of my beading books today . . . Just another example of starting something new before I've completed the current project . . . But I'm a little confused (not a new experience for me) :o . . . you've got a picture as your avatar . . . how did you get it on here?

Anyway, I'd better get to the salad-making before I get too hungry or I'll be eating the wrong stuff. Wonder where some of our other crafty ladies have been hiding? We miss you, gang. :carrot:

Morning gals-No picture last night. I had a terrible headache and went to bed quite early. It is still lingering, but not nearly as intense.

I finished my workouts just a bit ago and need to get cleaned up and run the last few errands for my student's recital tonight. I'm feeling worried about the reception and giving into temptation so I'm looking to you for some inspiration to keep my resolve up. I'm run down and thats hard for me.

Linda-I always have at least 5 projects going at once. I know its not really efficient, but thats my brain. The pic on the avatar I figured out, but can't remember the steps. To post in the message you have to fool with the size and I dont know how to do that. I'll play around and let you know if I remember what I did for the avatar.

Hope you all have a beautiful Friday. Have fun.

Hey Everyone!
Sorry I haven't been around in a few weeks. We've been in Charleston, and then I went to visit my mom for mother's day.. all of which put a crunch on filling orders.

I'm working on a couple of painting... a sail boat for my sweetie's new office (he didn't want flowers! can you believe it??) And a pears and crystal for the print folks. The grapes and crystal bit the dust..just not happy with them.

Down a pound this week.. which is great considering how i ate while i was traveling :P And that's another 5 lbs down so I changed my avatar in celebration.

Going back to read all I've missed now :)

Hi gals . . . the weather doesn't know what it wants to do today and apparently that is what it's going to be like all weekend. . . It figures :( Yes this is a long weekend in Canada and is generally the weekend that everybody goes and opens up the cottage for the season or stays home to get the plants into the garden. :)

Brandy . . . so glad to hear that somebody else works the same way I do. As a matter of fact, I started working on a crocheted purse this morning. Maybe I'm just trying to avoid the frustration of the camera for a little while longer. :dizzy:

Hey girl, do I have to remind you that you are a thin person now. That doesn't mean to let yourself go and put it all back on, but it does mean that you can afford to enjoy anything the reception has to offer. You know exactly what to do to get back on track again. Sure, you'll have to watch yourself for the rest of your life but you don't have to stop living entirely. You don't have to be perfect all the time . . . just most of the time. Enjoy the little privileges that your success have allowed you. ;)

Beth . . . We missed you. Glad you had a good trip and congratulations on losing a pound. Wow, that is impressive. I know I always have trouble maintaining my momentum whenever my routine changes.

Well nothing else is new around here. Must get a few groceries today to make sure I don't run out of the low-cal necessities over the long weekend. Have a great day, ladies. Keep moving and shaking and heading in the great and healthy direction. :carrot:

Beth...Welcome back and congrats on another pound gone! Love your avatar, very pretty!

Brandy...Hope your headache is better:hug: You'll do just fine at the reception. If your really worried and think you will buckle under the pressure, take some grapes or something you like to eat so you don't graze over the cookies.:D Can't wait to see a picture of your necklace.

Linda...I use to work on a lot of projects at one time, but find if I go by my list I get done faster. I'm want to have this quilt I'm working on now done by the first of June. Doing all the applique I have planned to do on it will take time, but school is out today, so things should settle down a bit here.

Make it a good day and I'll try to check back later.

Good Morning Crafting Chickies;) ...Just a quick check in before I head up to my room and start tracing more heads, feet and hands.:dizzy: I would sure llike to get this part done today, but know I won't since I don't know how many kids I will need to go completely around the quilt.
Hey gals, I'm going the happy dance this morning. I'm down to 335.6 for a loss of 2 pounds. So glad the fairy fat mother paid me a visit...Now the hard part is to keep it on the downward size and not go up.:carrot: I'll be back later on to do personals.

Cheryl
