Howdy Beach Babes!

I've been super busy and ate 2 meals out yesterday. I really didn't make bad choices, but it didn't help. Also, we went out with friends on Thurs. night and I drank way too much beer. So, I figure all my flex points are shot. I better be good this weekend and get some walking in. Glad I had done well earlier in the week. I'm determined to be able to fit into a decent looking swimsuit this summer!

Hello, Beach Babes!

I've been doing my best for the past two weeks and have managed to lose 4 lbs! I've just been watching portions and exercising daily. I think trying to eat strictly healthy foods while watching my family eat what they normally do was keeping me depressed and feeling deprived. I decided a few days ago that I was going to eat what I wanted for my meals, just less of it! I eat slowly and actually enjoy my meals instead of woofing it down like a starved animal.

Of course, I stay away from the sweets because I know I can't stop at just a little. I have no self control around chocolate, so if I need a fix, I eat a fudgesicle which only has 40 calories. The rest of the day, I'm drinking lots of water to keep me from feeling snacky. I chew a lot of gum, lol.

For exercise, I'm using a treadmill and an elliptical machine. I also lift some weights and do toning exercises. I love love love yoga.

I hope everyone else is finding success as well! The beach is coming, and so is less clothing, sunshine, and fun activities. We can do this, ladies!

dont beat yourself up!(says the queen of self-beating.. lol) now if only i could take my own advice.... im stuck in the 'why cant i do this' thing.
wtg kam! im concerned im not gonna fit the suits i bought......

I had a very bad weekend - eating wise. I went to a scrapbooking weekend with my sister and it is very hard to eat good. The meals were not healthy and Sat. night they had 7 (yes, 7) different kinds of cheesecake. It was just really bad. I do not even want to get on the scale tomorrow. I know that I just need to get back on the tredmill in the morning and just get back to it. I can't let this weekend bring me down!!

Kam - what a great idea with the fudgesicles! I would have never thought of that.

Well back to the weightloss grind in the morning. My stomach will thank me!

Lost 3 pounds this week....I'm very excited about that My walking DVD came in yesterday and will add more exercise to the mix as well. Went to a fried chicken place to eat yesterday and I can't believe it but I took ALL the skin off....ALL OF IT That meal could of easily been a full days points if not more. Stocked up on low calorie snacks and ready for a new week.
Can you believe it ladies Spring is here........summer is creeping up and will be here in no time

Kam, thanks for the reminder about fudgesickles. I used to have those as treats all the time and need to get a box.

Have a great Monday everyone! I go to WW tonite so hopefully will have good news but have eaten out a LOT this past week. I've been journalling everything but haven't been able to get much walking in due to the rain and helping our dd's both move at the same time.

Good Morning ladies. I've been MIA for a few days. Not sure what my problem is, just feeling so blah lately. I haven't exercised or really done very well with eating. I think I've let the mental game get to me and I need to get past this and get with the program. Summer will be here and I don't want to be bigger than I am now that's for sure.

Congrat's ladies on all the losses, you are all doing super! Spring has sprung and before ya know it, summer will be here and time for those shorts and bathing suits! You'll all look wonderful cause of all the hard work you're doing. Go you!!!!

Have a great day girls. Time for me to go clean something (anything, I didn't do any housework this weekend either! lol) and get my place looking back to normal. I'll peek in on you later.

Hi all! It's been a while since I checked in. I was doing great up until Friday, lost almost 3 lbs but then I hosted a wedding shower on the weekend and... well... the scale wasn't so happy this morning. I'm right back on track with eating and exercising today though so I hope I haven't done too much damage. I guess we'll see at the end of the week.

I think I am at a stall but I'll kick it up a notch this week.

I am going to get some heavier weights because the ones I have are not challenging me as much anymore.

Thanks, and apparently you are right. The scale is back down again today plus some! I'm not getting too excited though because it is TOM and official weigh in isn't until Friday.

My lovely niece did send me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers today to say thank you for the shower so that really made my day!
