Hi everyone,

My name is Lisa and I'm also a newbie, like Lissa.

I also live in VA. Small world.

I also wondered how bad the Starbucks thing is. I've become addicted to the Peppermint Hot Chocolate, but stopped and only have one like once a week as I realized it's probably not good for you.

Lisa,

my sister turned me on to the pumpkin and gingerbread lattes but also clued me into asking for skim milk and only 1 pump. I only get one once in a while. I love the Peppermint Coco. I am not big on drinking calories. I don't like to drink (alcohol) unless it is champagne and can stay away from juice, Coke and the like. But I do love fresh brewed Sweet Tea. I have taken to asking for half and half at restaurants and only if it is fresh brewed. I hate the stuff that comes out of the fountain.

Again, welcome, I am addicted

Amanda

HI Ladies!!

Michelle- I hope things get better at work. We spend so much time at work (well, I used to) that its horrible if we're not happy there.

Chelle- It sounds like the party was a blast! I'm sure the kids had a wonderful time!!

Lissa and Lisa!!

Lissa- I don't eat a huge breakfast either. Usually just a bowl of cereal and then a piece of fruit for a midmorning snack.

Amanda- those lattes sound yummy!! Luckily for me, I don't live near a starbucks!!

Today is my 31st birthday!!! My Dh got me an Ipod Nano. Pretty excited about it since we normally don't exchange gifts anymore. We figure if we want something we should just buy it rather than waiting for someone else to get it for us. We had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday the kids and I went swimming then we drove to Syracuse to go to Toys R Us to do the Christmas shopping for my niece and nephews. Then we went to Chuck e cheeses and then to the Airport to pick up Dh. He was in California for the week enjoying warm weather while I was here braving the snow and frigid temps. It's going to be -20 tonight, i haven't had a cold winter since leaving NY 8 years ago. Sunday we worked on the basement and yesterday I went to the gym and back to Toys r Us to finish the Christmas shopping for my little ones.

I didn't go to the gym today. With it being so cold, I just didn't feel in the mood to swim. Tomorrow I'll go and do the treadmill and elliptical. Dh bought me an ice cream cake home tonight for dessert. I didn't do so well calorie wise today, but its my birthday and it only comes around once a year.

My WI was on Sunday and I didn't lose anything last week or gain. I'm not upset about it since the previous week I lost 8 pounds. I am hoping for a loss this week, though. I get to buy a new pair of running shoes when I reach 165.

Hope everyone is having a good week!!

Lissa! Did you drink your water yesterday? Also STOP eating your son's food. It is ok to just throw it away!

Lisa! Starbucks seems to be a theme for everyone. I get a tall sugar free vanilla non fat latte every afternoon after school. It's my afternoon snack.

Lori- Happy Birthday, sorry I'm a little late! Your weekend does sound busy! Now back to being op today!

Good Morning! Rehearsal didn't get over until 10:45, which put us home at around 11:30pm, so I'm a little groggy. Tonight and tomorrow should not be as late, since we will start getting through the show faster. All of our performances are sold out!!!!

Today is a whole staff breakfast potluck, and our department is having it's own lunch potluck. I'm going to totally avoid the staff room, to keep myself away from the breakfast treats, and I'm packing my own lunch still.

Have a fit and fabulous op day everyone! Get your water in!

Good afternoon everyone,

It's funny that everyone likes Starbucks. I don't drink coffee, but I love me some hot chocolate!! LOL!

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

I hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it's 11 days until Christmas. I'm so not ready yet!!!

I'm going to the gym shortly (wish me luck!!).

Thanks Michelle for yelling at me ! Sometimes, when I slip, its hard to get back OP. I've been good all day today, nights are usually hardest for me, but I bought some diet hot cocoa and some juicy clementines so hopefully I'll be good!

Lisa- I'm not a big fan of coffee either, but I do love Starbuck's iced coffees, YUMMY!!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!! I still have ice cream cake left over but I'm trying to stay strong!! Hoping the kids and DH will finish it off tonight.

I went to the gym today and burned 300 calories on the treadmil!! I'm almost through my 5k program. I'm just not sure how I'm going to continue while on Christmas holiday. I also did the elliptical today. While my two DSs were in Day Care at the YMCA my son's boots were taken by accident. The funny thing is that my son wears a size 9 and the boots that were left ( that look just like my son's) were a size 11! I can just imagine the dad trying to squeeze his son's feet into those boots!! I'm hoping they drop my DS's boots off tomorrow, he looks so silly wearing those big boots!

Then- after the gym, I saw a car accident. This moron ran the red light and hit the car right next to me. If I didn't look to make sure the road was clear when the light turned green, it could have been us!! I felt so bad for the lady. I called the police and hung around with her until the police came. I let her use my phone to call her hubby and gave her my name and number in case she needed a witness. I already talked to her insurance company and the police department this afternoon, so I hope everything works out for her.

Hope everyone is having a good day!!

I made it through the staff parties without having any treats. Now I just have to feed the children and get to rehearsal.

Lori, through out rest of the cake. I did that with some cupcakes on Tuesday. I felt a little guilty at first then relieved. I know when it is your own birthday cake it is hard or offer it up to some neighbors.

Teething monster is still at our house so I am lagging behind today. I am determined to get in my workout tonight. :weigh-in is tomorrow.

Good Morning! I'm down 1 pound this week, and since it is TOM I'll definetly take what I can get! Also that 1 pound moves me out of the obese category and into the merely overweight. Hurray!
