Hi all,

Short post from me today. Weigh in day, you guessed it, I lost 1 pound. HL, you are right I can't complain about one pound per week. Also, I'm jealous about your concert. I love love love Tracy Lawrence.

WW, I hope you feel better. Hey I felt like I was getting sick a couple of weeks ago and I took that Airborne and it worked great, knocked everything right out. I had a nurse practitioner friend look at the ingredients and she said it looked ok, mostly immune system boosting herbs (echinacea and such). You may want to try it.

later, MJ

Wow! Took me forever to read all the posts I've missed lately. Now I only have a few minutes to post myself because I need to get ready for work.

I've missed everyone the last week. Rivergal, glad to see you're back! Sounds like all of you are doing great with your weightloss. HELP! I cant seem to get it going lately. I hate not being able to workout.

The MRI did show a torn rotator cuff. The doc wants me to see a specialist but I am going to wait until it will count toward my Feb deductible. I have an appt on Feb 13. SHould have waited on the MRI also but at the time, my shoulder was bothering me really bad and I practically couldnt use it at all. For the last week or so, I have gotten used to pretty much doing nothing with my left arm and it has gotten alot better already. From the difference in how it feels already, I dont think surgery should be necessary. Just going to keep not using it til I see the specialist just to be sure I dont mess it up worse.

Well, really gotta hurry and get ready for work. Just wanted to check in and say hello and tell ya'll how much I missed everyone!

Have a good day!

Hey Miki, So glad you are back. Thought maybe you got wisked away to surgery or something. Glad that you didn't though, hopefully surgery won't be necessary. I feel for you not being able to work out, I know it would kill me. But you could go out and get youself a watp tape and leave the arms out, you'd still get a good workout. Well whatever you do hang in there. Talk to you later.

Hey Miki, So glad to hear from you. I really hope everything goes good at the doc. you're going to see. You just hang in there. I know it's hard to stay OP when you're not feeling good. but you're be better soon and then you can kick some butt. You could do like MJ said and get you a WATP dvd and do that without the arm movements. I love doing the WATP and I'm getting really good results. Thank goodness I'm back on track after getting those darn gained pounds over Christmas gone. You can do this. One day at a time.

MJ: Good job on the pound lost. Anytime there's a loss or no gain that's a good thing. Remember if we lose 1 or 2 a week, No saggy skin when it's all gone.

WW: Sorry you're feeling bad. Sending Hugs your way. Feel better soon and take care of yourself. Good idea to moan and groan and let hubby take care of you. We need that sometimes anyway.

HL: Good deal on the treadmill,I hope you enjoy it while it walks away your pounds. I like to listen to music when I walk the treadmill, It makes it go a lot faster. Altho these days I always do the WATP dvd. Love it.

Today I started out my day with the 2 mile WATP. Eating was good but went to fish camp buffet for supper. But I didn't do too bad. Didn't go back for seconds. It was really good. It's a mini buffet with alaskian white fish and calabash chicken, french fries, onion rings, hush puppies, slaw. All you can eat for $3.99. Can't beat that. But can't do that often. That's my splurge night for this week.
All be good and I'll talk to ya later,
Rivergal

Where is everybody? Did you all take the day off? No fair, no one told me we could be off today. I already did the 2 mile WATP. It's been a pretty good day. Well, I'm off to fix some supper. Stir fry with rice.

Miss Yall, Come back please!

Talk to ya later or talk to myself. Either way I'm sure the company will be good. LOL.

RG, Sorry it took me so long to get here today. I had to watch "The Biggest Loser." I love that show, it's so motivating. I did 2-mile watp today too and 1-mile yesterday. Good for you on the stir-fry today, it sounds way healthy. I did really good w/ food today too until I went out for dinner tonight. I had grilled chicken salad which was good but then I had a gooey choclate dessert w/ a scoop of ice cream. But I only ate about 3/4 of it. It was great but now I regret it cuz my stomach hurts. Well I have got to get to bed now because I am meeting a friend at the gym tomorrow AM (7:30) to try it out.

Hope everyone else is well.

Hey Mj, going to gym that early. Go Girl, I'll still be in the bed. So, do a few exercises for me. LOL. You bad girl, that dessert sounded wonderful. Tonight when I eat my sugar free jello w/lite cool whip I'll pretend it's as good as what you had. Well, off to watch " Ground Hog Day" It's that time of year. Funny movie.
Talk to ya later,
Hey to everybody and have a Great Friday!!

Hi everybody

Well, believe it or not, I've actually done a good job with my eating for two whole days now!! Thanks to all of ya'll...I was ashamed hearing how well everyone else has been doing the last several weeks and decided a hurt shoulder is no excuse to slack off. Hoping for a loss by Monday.

Emjay, that dessert sounded sooo good! But not eating all of it is progress in itself. Hard to leave something that looks and tastes so good. We went out last night, and I had grilled chicken salad also. It was really good..I could eat that every night if someone would fix it for me. lol

Rivergal, I eat the sugar free jello w/lite cool whip also. It has very little calories. I also get the sugar free or fat free jello pudding and add the cool whip on top also. YUMMY

I hope WW is feeling better. I've had a cold too and it gets old FAST. Mine is almost gone, thank goodness.

Ohhhh! Just have to vent a second....I found out today that hubby's company decided AGAINST the new insurance!!! Now, this new one was supposed to have started yesterday. My MRI was going to be 1100.00 if I had insurance but since ours was changing so soon and it wouldnt count toward a deductible, they let me file it "private pay" instead of claiming it on my old insurance which saved me a huge amount. Private Pay only cost 515.00 compared to the 1100.00. I didnt file it because it wasnt going to count toward my deductible except now I find out that Oops, yes it would have because we have the same stinking company! I know I would have had to pay more out of pocket (the whole 1100) because our deductible is so high, but that would have put us halfway to meeting it. PLUS, with private pay, I only have 45 days to pay the entire 515.00 whereas I could have taken all year to pay the 1100! Guess either way, I lose huh? Just thinking about insurance makes my blood pressure go sky high!

Whew! Ok, just had to get that outta my system. lol Just infuriates me though that they can charge someone double just because they have insurance. It's all a scam! The hospitals, insurance, pharmacists, all of it. Ok, I thought I was thru but guess not quite. Sorry. lol

Well, better go. We were assigned online bank courses for work and they are due to be finished by Feb 10. There are 3 of them and they all take 1-2 hrs each. I want to get them out of the way so I wont be panicking the last day or so to get it done.

Talk to ya'll again soon.

Way to go, Hoosierlady! 3.6 lbs is great! Drinking more water is something I need to really work on. I know it makes a huge difference from past experience. It's just hard getting back into that habit.

Well, I took 2 of the bank courses last night. Made 100 on one and 95 on the other..whoohoo!! Just one more left to do before next Friday.

Still on track with my eating, I'm happy to report. Dont know why or how I finally got back into that mindset, but somehow it happened and I'm sooo determined to get this weight off! Ya'll are so motivating. I know as long as I keep coming here, I'll be able to do it. Easier just knowing it's a group effort and not something we have to do alone.

Wonder where everyone else is today. I wish the rest of the original gang would find us and check in also.

Well, guess I'll go for now. Hope to hear from everyone else soon!

Have a great weekend!

I have returned! And...I can breathe!

Feeling much better, sorry I was MIA, just felt like sleeping and nothing else (sleeping on the floor, lol.) Don't know why, but the floor is really comfy when I'm sick.

So many posts to catch up on...sounds like everyone is doing good. Miki, sorry about the diagnosis...and the crappy turn of events in the insurance. I completely understand your rant. Would this be a bad time to tell you I work for an insurance company? lol. Just home & auto though...no medical. Also, I'm in IT so I really know nothing about insurance (except how much of it I pay..grrrrrr). I can't believe they would retract the new insurance plan with such short notice! My company changed their benefits plan last year too...so I had to face the double deductible issue last year too...I was fortunate to not be injured or ill at the time though. I hope it works out...maybe there is a way to change the paperwork claim now that the circumstance has changed? It's worth a try calling them...although I understand the frustations of calling your health coverage providers....hello on-hold music.

I am glad to hear your arm is feeling better though...I'll pray for no surgery for you.

Well, I know everyone else has updated on this board, hopefully tomorrow I'll make a more detailed post. I've been sleeping all week, so I need to get out of the house. Going to a movie in about 20 minutes (The Matador)...so I have to go.

Talk to you all tomorrow.

Miki, Okay again, don't get me going on the insurance companies. THEY SUCK! I have worked w/ them long enough to know that. But I will say you have to keep your wellness in mind. Really that is all that matters. But I know how it feels. Our country needs to take a good hard look at this. Please keep on track though it keeps me motivated as well. You can do this! I'm right w/ ya!

HL, Congrats on the weight loss. You are doing awesome! Keep it up, you're my idol (not american idol either).

WW, Sorry about the insurance comments. Honestly, I thought that was something you did not have to worry about in Canada?!?! Socialized health care??? Glad you are feeling well and off the floor!! You are so lucky to be going to all these movies. Let me know what you think of "The Matador". "Fun w/ Dick and Jane" looks good to me right now.

My new job is really taking it out of me. Not eating much lately though, I guess that is a good thing. Hubby comes home tomorrow, can't wait! Happy Super Bowl weekend! It's in my state this year...

Emjay, I was down 3 lbs today also! Cool huh? I was extra thrilled since it's the first time I've seen the scale budge (at least downward) in a long time. Thanks for encouraging me to keep on track..I need that. I'm definitely motivated. It's a good incentive to keep on once some progress has been made for a change. I also finished up my last course for work...made a 96 so finished with an A average overall. Glad to get those out of the way.

Everyone must be busy today. Hope to hear from the rest of the gang soon. Cant wait for next Monday already because I just know I'll be down again. Feels GREAT being back on track!!!

Hey! What happened to my tracker?? I noticed a few days ago it was gone so today I went to the User CP place to redo it and it showed to be there so I thought "Oh, maybe it was just gone during the server change for some reason." So, I edited it to show my 3 lb loss and just realized as I was leaving that last post that it still doesnt show up. Emjay, didnt you have one also?? WW's is still there. I'm confused.
