me too dont see much change in my clothes... but i know there has to be some... I do see that my legs are slimming down .. and my boobs lol... But i also had a lot of those stretcy tops, big t's and the stretch denim jeans so .. we should all do a check with the tape measure.. and write our measurements down for ourselves .. so we can see that we are making progress...
these days off have been bad for me I guess I am so used to the structure... eat my cereal go to work.. eat my lunch... back to work... run home change clothes go to work out .. come home.. eat a healthy choice... walk chai ... go to bed... lmao
I tend to skip meals at work so I maybe do a little better at home. Sometimes I snack too much. Like yesterday, I got 45 grams of carbs from too much snacking.
I've been reading some other low carb diet books this weekend--I like to compare the different programs. Anyway, one of them mentions that the best way to judge your progress is to measure your waist. If that is getting smaller, you are making progress even if it doesn't show on the scale. Something to keep in mind.

today is a much better day.
I survived the cookout I went to and it wasn't so bad. I used about 10 of my flexpoints and that was on the desert i had as I was leaving. I should have just left...anyway. I hit the gym already today. I did the ellyptical for an hour and then did some weights for the upper body. so I'm gonna get back on track. thanks for the words of encouragement.
TEB- good job on the loss. I'm gonna be right with you next week I promise.
Mom, thanks for the pep talk some times, its easy to foget that we just got to keep going.
Curly, I don't think the leg did you in but I bet the sodium in the 11 herbs and spices could have caused you to gain some water weight. once that gets out of your system I bet you'll be down. keep upi the good work.
Petra, I know what you mean about feelling healthy and I need to start looking at it that way, see it as a positive thing not something that is a hurdle.
Lisa, did you catch the fireworks? I live right in the fireworks watching zone but we were at a friends house and just set off a few in the back yard there. I like the big ones the city does but not the crowds.
Hotcup, did you get a vaca on the 4th or did you have to work?

Good evening ladies, first day back from vacation is always painful but I think I did okay. Answered most of my messages. Some of the messages I get are unbelievable. But then again, I am a psychiatrist.
I read The Four Corners Diet over the weekend which was formerly known as the GO diet. The authors of this one are famous for the reduced carb counts on cultured milk products if any of you are familiar with that idea. Anyway, they are big into the health benefits of cultured milk products (yogurt, kefir, and buttermilk) so I went out and got some yogurt and have been eating some. It is a nice addition to my diet. I throw in some fresh strawberries and nuts and it makes a great breakfast. Not bad on the protein either. Apparently, the whole reduced carb count is very controversial so I'm just going with what it says on the label. We've gotten into quite a discussion on the protein power website about it. Apparently Greek yogurt is lower in carbs so I"m going to have to go looking for some.
Jennie-glad you are feeling better today and getting a little better perspective on things.
TLB, Lisa-congrats on your losses.
Curlylocks-I have to say there are many added benefits of low carbing but one of them is that if you fall off the wagon, you feel so physically awful you don't want to eat like that for another minute. It teaches you a quick lesson. At least it did me.

I ended up having to work late tonight, and just got home from a walk with the puppy. Guess I better sort something out for dinner... hubby wanted fish and chips, so I picked him some up on the way home from work, but none for me
Got my final grade today from my spring class and I am happy to report that I got a B

Real quick post. I am tired!! Yes, M and I went to the fireworks. We only had to go up the hill. We should of walked. LOL but we were lazy and took the van... Got out and was back home 1 minute later. They were awesome!! Glad I took her!
After exercising my butt off on Saturday...I was lazy on Sunday and Monday. I didn't get hardly any exercise in but I did clean house and finish 3 dresses I have been making since Easter. So that was some activity. LOL I am back OP today... I ate within my points over the weekend so I am not bummed but I should of exercised more!! Tonight I went to the gym and I am going tomorrow. Tonight I did the ellipitical and treadmill for 30 minutes each and swam for 45 minutes. I did water exercises in the pool. I wasn't part of the class but I was doing it anyway. One can only stand and "watch" when the little one says. LOOK MOM, 1000 times in an hour. She is really working on her swimming and trying to float on her back.
Well..I will address everyone tomorrow. Long day at work..and even longer tonight.

Hi ladies, slow post day....
I've been running around. I am finished working at my 9-5 so not so much computer access anymore. at my shop, I don't have the internet. just another bill I cna't seem to do. I am moving soon and I am going to close my shop and have all my work space be in my new house that way I can consolidate bills, like phone and internet.
Anyway, jogged this morning at the gym, and I am about to go swimming. I had ethiopian food for lunch. I have no idea how many points were in that, its all pretty fresh and I ate vegetarian so I don't think it could be to bad. does anyone know any websites that have points for ethinic food that arn't so common.
don't forget to check in, we have to keep each other moving and motivated.

Slow post day isn't the word for it! I'm almost starting to feel like I'm talking to myself. What kind of food is ethiopian food? I've never seen an ethiopian restaurant. There is good coffee that comes from that region though.
I had a kind of slow day. Did some more of my internal medicine questions. My big accomplishment for the day was that I finally got rid of the swing set in my back yard. The previous owners of my house had kids and left the swing set. It has just been sitting there rusting since I moved in 3 years ago because I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. I finally asked the right person today and in a couple of hours it was gone, voila! And it was cheap, too! Hope everyone is having a good OP day.
yep ive been good today... with my eating and my exercise... I really love the circuit training... its ladies workout express, actually its a curves clone..
cant go tomorrow tho cuz i have to take my dog to the vet... BOY what an education i am getting... I have only ever had labs, chai is a chow/german spitz mix and ever since he turned one he has been having issues.. he doesnt want any strangers to touch him .. and saturday my aunt was petting him and he growled and bit a hole in her shirt...
so tomorrow he has a behavioral appt. he also has decided that he hates the vet... last time we went he wouldnt even let her touch him to do his check up........... i do love him.. but i keep asking myself why didnt i just get another lab???????
I have been being bad (not with my eating and exercise). I have been trying to do some research on liquid diets. I know, I know stupid of me. Here's the thing I am in a catch 22 here. I am in so much pain from my boobs (headache, neck, back and shoulder pain ) that I am having a hard time exercising. Yesterday I woke up with so much pain in my back that I COULD NOT exercise even though I REALLY wanted to. In order to get my BR I have to lose weight and in order to lose weight I have to exercise. I am so desperate to lose the weight, so I can get the BR, so that I can stop being in pain that I have resorted to looking at liquid diets online . HELP!!!! I know I am being stupid but I don't know what to do anymore.
I am losing about 10 pounds a month but that means a least another 6-7 months before I can even talk to the plastic surgeon and then on top of that I talked to someone else that had her BR done by the same place as me and she was scheduled to have surgery 9 MONTHS after that!!!! I don't know how I am going to keep exercising with all this pain . What am I going to do???

I had a good day OP and a good exercise day! I have been really busy at work I haven't even talked to anyone on my cell phone. LOL Good..maybe I will be within my minutes this month!! I went to the Y to exercise while M was at gymnastics. I did the ellipital for 30 minutes and the treadmill for 10 and I did a circuit of the weigh machine. I can feel the burn in my shoulders for that one.
Momx3: My girls hurt too when I exercise. I need a better bra! I found a website..not sure where. LOL that sells sports bras. They have one that is supposed to make them NOT MOVE and it doesn't matter what size you are! I think it is $28.00. After I get back from vacation, I am ordering one for my bday. My mom always sends me $$ and tells me to buy something for myself. LOL
Petra: Next time you want to get rid of something..don't pay for it! Advertise it on Freecycle. People can rebuild swing sets and someone probably would of loved to have it and would of taken it down for you. I had a stack of fence slats in the back yard taking up space. Someone posted they needed some and they came and hauled them away...even the crappy ones. LOL We rebuilt our fence a few years ago and I kept all the better ones..left the nails in them because there was a small space between ours and neighbors yard that had a split rail fence that was falling down and I figured I would cut the 6ft slats to 4ft and put up to make it safer from M and A to climb over to each others house. A's dad finally put up a chain link so they were sitting there rotting. Freecyle is good to find exercise stuff people are getting rid off too. If you haven't heard of it..go to www.freecycle.com
Curly: glad you had a great day. Sympathy for the vet. LOL My cats hate going. My gentle little tabby turns into a lioness when we take her. My big male cat..who is laid back as long as he is not near kids... is not happy either. I avoid it and luckily only have to go once a year. Yea on the 1lb!!!
Jeannie: no clue on the food. Since you do WW..I have a question for you. LOL If you put in on etools you did 30 minutes of treadmill and 30 of ellipitical it only gives you 4 points but if you do 60 minutes of moderate activity it gives you 5 points. I know I am working it because I am sweating like a pig. LOL
TEB: great going on the grade!!! Yippee for you..all your studying paid off. Hope you did good for dinner last night.
