Hey PICs,

It sounds like everyone has been really hanging in there and I think that to lose over the holidays is something to be PROUD of!

Welcome Lindsey, you have found a good place. I agree that weight loss is easier when one is younger. At sixty plus it is tough, but not impossible, and I speak from experience!

I have been cleaning and decorating and today we drove to Nashville to pick up our DD who flew in from Albuquerque for Christmas. It is great to have her here.

I am still stuck, but at least I haven't gained and I should be able to really get going after Sunday
. You all are great examples of what can be done!

First of all.... Lindsay! You'll find accountability here, plus some great suggestions and lots of support. Post often, cuz it really does help

thanks everyone! I feel great today. Tomorrow will test me. My Weekend Deli Lady lost her grandson in a car accident last nite, so won't be in for a while. I have to run the deli for the next 2 days....... including making all those yummy cookies... wish me luck ladies! lol.

Angel~ you're right.... there's not much better motivation than seeing that scale go down! I'm still a little skeptical lol.... I just KNOW WW scale was off. But Imma take it none the less!

Petra~ the flax bread is pretty good really. When I first started on my trek, I didn't have a piece of bread for like 4 weeks cuz I couldn't emotionally deal with the cals and the carbs. Then I found this. It's not huge bread, but it makes a good sandwich or toast. I bet you'd like it. It's made locally here, but I know it's also available (thru at least one of our distributors) as a frozen product nationally. Have fun on your days off!

Curly~ I was gonna remove my Santa Slimdown yesterday too... Because it was just depressing me. I'm sooo glad I didn't. hmmm How 'bout the Sweetheart Slenderizer for Feb. (That came from My hunny). LOL.

Val~ good luck wht the Tae Bo... I know the feeling about being bored with the WATP. But I have to force myself because I know I need the workout. I'd love to hear how it works for you!

Zoey~ Hey there Sounds like your house is a great place to be. Good luck, cuz I know you'll do great thru the rest of the week.

B coffee /cream, 1 string cheese
S gingerbread cookie
L 1/2 RB sandwich w/1 slice cheddar. Scraped off the mayo. Sourdough
bread, pear, 2x3 fruitcake thingy
S Small bag baked potato chips (2 points)
D Leftovers! Meatloaf, big salad, 2T ranch dressing, 1 hb egg

Exercise~ 1 mile WATP

"'Sweetheart Slenderizer for Feb."<<<< that is 2 cute!!!

yep i took my christmas ticker down also it just kinda suxs cuz i didnt lose any thing.. unless u count the 2x i lost and went back up 2 lbs..

i read somewhere yesterday that a Plateu can be a good thing. ??? grrr im not sure i am believing that one but it did kinda make sense the said its like your body is kinda at a turning point... and that eventually u will see weight loss again when it gets ready.. and the importnat thing is to keep going on plan... cuz your body is waiting to see if u fall off the plan or keep going..

so .. im not gonna obsess over the christmas challenge.. i did my best.. ate on plan i just have to have patience>> hmm do they sell that at walmart?? lol

have a great day! we are off at 2pm and i will be heading to workout!

I posted my Mediterranean question on the Mediterranean forum but so far no one has answered it. I have a feeling they would call it "other" so I may move it in my curriculum. I'm now almost done my review of low carb diets. I may have to do some editing because I think I got a bit too subjective on this stuff. Imagine that! LOL. Personally, I think my curriculum is pretty good. The other thing I'm going to need are online dieting resources so if any of you guys have some favorite sites you think I should include, let me know.

Merry Christmas Turtle! Great to see you again!

Thanks for the sites curly. I'll check them out. Yahoo has a bunch of sites I think. So does ivillage. I didn't include bodyforlife as one of the plans because I haven't read that book but I'll look at the site.

I just counted, I reviewed 15 diet books!! There are also reviews of a few programs that aren't books like WW, Jenny Craig, Nutri/System, LAWL, although my knowledge of LAWL is pretty limited.

Hi fellow PIC's. How is everyone today? just 2 more days!!!!

Petra, you were asking about sites......some of my bookmarked sites are:
theweighwewere. (1-4 are .com)
dwlz.
sugarbustersforum.
wwfamilyforum.
and ***************.net

I have another but so far haven't yet been to it.....Its the Hackers diet....(fourmilab.ch/hackdiet)
Not sure if we're allowed to post actual website addresses but I think just listing them like that is okay.

I didn't get to the gym today, I was on my way there and decided to call ahead and they were closing hearly!! bummer.....I'll post my food journal later, but food is OP.
