Hey Girls,
way to go everyone, great losses and keeping on track.
I'm doing much better, I feel better, and I'm pretty motivated. I did over eat some of my dinner last night but it wasn't anything bad for me so I don't think it will hurt to much. It was pouring rain at 6:30 this morining so no jog today. Hopefully tonight I'll get in some kind of work out. And then tomorrow morning a jog.n I always feel so much better when I am getting in good work outs. My sister caught a nasty cold so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I dont' get it(we are staying in her house for the time being). I took some airborn hopefully it will stay away.
Today is the big day for my parents house. They are closing tonight. My sister is so emotional about it. I'm sad but I know I can't really do anything because I can't afford to buy it and live there and my parents can't afford to stay there. We went through the house and took pictures and snatch little pieces of wall paper off the wall. I'm sure the people moving in are going to rip everything out and make it look totally boreing. The way it was it was anything but boreing and regular. Growing up I was sometimes embarrased but now I think its great. I loved the read carpet and the gold green and red wall paper. Oh, now I'm starting to get emotional. I just need to stay away from the emotional eating snacks.
OK, ladies, off to the grind.

Hey girls.....How is everyone today? Just 2 more days until our trip to Colorado and we are soooo excited!! I'm in mega-laundry mode today, trying to get all our cooler weather clothes all clean and fresh since some of them have been in storage.

I had a fantastic workout this morning. As usual, Thursdays is the iso-ball class and after that is a 30 min cardio combo class. Since there was just 2 of us staying afterwards for the cardio class, the instructor had the 2 of us, on the treadmill doing intervals of med-high cardio. I hadn't done anything like this before and found it very interesting. I guess the basic idea is that you warm up, then walk at a faster pace than normal, then do a small fast burst of cardio (ie 30 sec of running) and then a faster pace of walking again( bringing your heartrate down for recovery). Combine this with more sets of cardio bursts and fast paces of walking and you have it. Afterwards, she gave us a sheet detailing many different routines that she uses for her personal (private lesson) clients. So actually, she gave us a routine without paying her for the personal trainer fee!!! WOOHOO!!!! :cb:

Congrats on the weight loss angel. I stayed the same this week. Have a great vacation. I'm so glad it's friday.

21 inches mom--that's amazing!! The last time I measured myself I'd lost 9 inches. You are inspiring me to measure myself again sometime soon.

I have to give a lecture on Tues on geriatric depression. I don't know how I let myself get talked into these things because I can't stand speaking in public. It's at one of the local libraries. I'll be stuck preparing for it all weekend.

Oh, I heard from the vet. Kobe doesn't have Cushing's but his urine was very dilute so she is looking into a couple other things. I have to take him in for half a day for some tests in a couple weeks and also deprive him of water over night one night and get another urine sample.

glad to hear about Kobe Petra.... i'll keep him in my thoughts, and try not to giggle too much thinking about how you go about getting that sample!

The walk was great!! the weather was just BEAUTIFUL! they held it at a a seniors planned community... and they had the BEST walking paths! in fact i was kinda surprised when we got to the end .. i was thinking this couldnt have been 3 miles!! it went by so fast!!!

Felt great tooo! to be almost 45, 100 lbs over weight, asthmatic... and the 20 year olds in our team where huffing and puffin and complaining!! haha and i didnt even break a sweat! i can remember doing these walks a few yrs back and thinkin i was in good shape and 3 miles felt like 100!

so even if the scale doesnt move this week... I KNOW i am doing really well!

Morning Ladies!! I have not been feeling well. Everything I eat comes right back out so even though I am still eating "legal" stuff for south beach I am not eating the way I am supposed to. I also have not been exercising. I weighed in yesterday because I forgot on Friday and I am down to 207. That's 13 pounds down for the Halloween Challenge. Oh and TOM decided to come and play. :mad:

Curly - Great job on the walk. You know even though we are overweight we are in better shape then the skinny ones because we exercise and most of them don't. :strong:

Iwmonn - 14 hour work day :eek: !! Are you crazy!!! Get some rest girlie.

Petra - I'm glad to hear Kobe does'nt have Cushing's but I hope you get some answers real soon. It is very frustrating to play the waiting game. :(

Angel - Great job on the 3 pounds!!! :cb:

Lisa - How's it going sweetie. No ciggy's I hope.

Jennie - I'm sorry about your parents house. We never had to go through that because I was an airforce brat and we moved every 3-4 years. I can't image how hard the must be for you. :grouphug:

Hi Ladies,
How is everyones sunday? I went to WI and I'm up .4...yuck! I'm going to try and do core. I realised that I am totally sabatoging my self and I need to figure out why. I know I want to lose and I want to get to my next goal of being under 200 but I just and not doing it. I know everytime I eat something that is bad that I'm messign myself up but I continue to do it. Its like part of me must not want me to make it to goal.
I decided to try core this week at WW. I've only done the points so far. this week will be a test. I am going to track my foods still but only eat the core stuff. Hopefully it won't be to hard. and hopefully I'll see a loss next week. I figure anything to mix things up and get me back on track.

Curly, I have a pair of Mizuno's but I'm not sure the make of them.. They are nice. I went to a runing/walking store and it took about 45 minutes of fitting before I decided on these. they are the most fluid of all the shoes, and they are great support.

Mom, I hope you feel better that doesn't sound good. But, 13# that is great, I think I'm only down like 2. I've been messing up big time lately.

Petra, good luck with the lecture, I hope it goes well.

iwmonn, 14 hours of work and you arn't sleeping! I wouldn't be able to take that. hope you get a break this weekend.

Everyone else, have a good Sunday, I have to go change my tracker it has to go up :mad:

Hi Everyone,

The long workdays are over for now - and for a long time I hope! One of the ladies who work at the store mother passed away so we were extremely short-handed for a couple days.... lol at noon Friday when she called to tell me she wasn't going to make it in, working a double didn't sound like a bad idea.....by 6pm my dogs were achin', and by 8:30 I was soooooo happy to go home! I've always been an opener, that place gets creepy at night hehehe.... peeps gettin beer instead of coffee. Anyways... i'm not doing quite so good on my foods. Just a little taste here and there but I know it's going to mess me up in the long run. And my back and hips are so sore i really can't walk. I am still definately going to the city this weekend (tues-wed for me) and finding a good workout video or 2 I can do. I go back to the dr office on Tues and I'm afraid it's not going to be good news... But I still have the motivation I need... I know it's in me :) and next week will be a good one!!!

Curley: Sounds like you are having fun on all your walks! I loved doing those when I was in Seattle.... lukemia walks, breast cancer, diabetes...... you meet such great people there! Congratulations on the success!

Mom: I sure hope you start feeling better soon. Congrats on 13lbs!!!!!

Jennie: 200 had been my stubborn place for years... i could get down to 201 every time, but never below it no matter what it seemd. This time will be different!!!!!! I know your pain! GOOD LUCK!

Lisa: I hope that head cold didn't come and knock you on your bottom! I'm missin' hearing from you. Hope things are good.

where is everyone. I'm used to reading for at least 10 minutes before I reply.....
Well its day two of core. Man, its a lot of veggies and fiber. It seems pretty close to South Beach but not as much structure, no induction phase or anything. It feels good thought to clean out my system. Hopefully I will last.
I got up this morning and got my jog in. Luckily, it hasn't gotten to cold yet. I'll have to figure out something else once it does. Maybe back to my step aerobics. I'm just proud that I'm getting up in the morning. I am kind of a party pooper since I go to bed so early but oh well, I gotta do it.
Mom, yeah!! another pound! I wish I could say the same. Next week!

iwonn, have you tried getting videos on the internet? I've bought some for really cheap from ebay but I know lots of stores on the net sell them as well. If you are looking for fun and low impact, I would say try Richard Simmons.

Stil not smoking. It has been a week!!! It is getting easier. My wrist is not broken although I have to wear a soft cast on it for about a month. I did forget how much they sweat. LOL

I was down 2lbs this week at WI. I am 48lbs loss overall. YIPPEEE I feel great.
