oh man is it busy in here, welcome to everybody new, so glad you all have joined, this group is so awesome, everybody here is super nice and cool.

That would be so much fun, all of us going on a cruise, we would look so sexy .

Hey Deanne, wow have you had some excitement. I have had a couple of scares, but thats all, its kind of nerve racking and i do to get a little disappointed somtime. Its just all my freinds are married with kids, so i guess i would be kind of envious of them at times. But i know i should enjoy the time i do have, so im greatful, i know if will happen for me. But you know what i really wish. I wish i have someone that is pregnant with me at the same time, that would be so cool, lol, i have had a couple of freinds pregnant once, they were so cool lol.

Well today is my off day, i hung out with my grandma today, we went shopping for my moms birthday and mothers day, and i have still have to get a present for my sister for her graduation, man that really adds up. Mojo is getting fixed this weekend too, poor little guy, he is such a cutie.

Thanks everybody for all the support about the job, I am just gonna go with the flow and see what is offered, and just really think about whats best first for myself. Well i am going to have to check back more often, it took me forever to catch up. I love you ladies! talk to you all soon.

oh yea by the way, i lost 4 pounds, i weighed myself this morning thinking i have gained cause i have not been working out, but i have lost, so i was soo excited. So so far i have lost 10 pounds, yay! oh man i need to change my ticker. Thanks ladies, you all have helped.

Love ya
Jessica

Welcome to all the newbys!

Jessica ~ Congrats on the 4 pounds gone! Way to go! Especially since you weren't really expecting it! Those little surprises are the best!

I may not have to take my dad to chemo tomorrow after all. Now he is feeling better! YEA! I am keeping my fingers crossed that he stays feeling so good.

Ok, Just curious - I saw this post on another thread or maybe it was a poll, I am not sure, but my question to everyone is.......
What is your ideal size for YOUR body? I think mine is an 8. I am only 5'3" and small boned. I was a size 3-5 when I got married in 87. Of course, my body is different now, but an 8 would be great! I would take a 10 though.

I want to hear what your answers are!

Mornin' chickas...or night for y'all.

GoddessKIM- That story about your husband taking your girls stuff out of their room....so funny. My parents did the same thing! It worked. You wrote... "well i'm not short or tall..sort of average.. 5'6in that and I'm old and have lots of kids.. i'll be happy with 140 lol"...shut up!!!

Lateralus- I'm ALMOST 5'2" so I can totally understand. I couldn't believe how low my weight range is! My goal of 125 lbs is at the top of it!

Jessica- Way to go!!! A 4 lb loss is great! Its always nice when you think you havent lost and you're surprised. Good motivation. Oh, what kind of dog is Mojo?

Kim- Im so glad that your dad is feeling better! Thats great news. Oh and my ideal size is a 4-6. Haha...we'll see if that ever happens!

Things are good in this part of the world. A gorgeous day. I think I might lay out today. TOM will probably come today so maybe not. I feel sluggish. Maybe a movie day.

Love,
Deanne

hey girls...i know no one is on but I just felt like posting.

I am having the best lunch. Its my TOM so I was STARVING. I wanted something that was alot of food but wasnt a buttload of points. So, I made these chicken crisper things(3) and they are 3 points. Then, I had leftover UB's ready rice(1/3 cup) at 1 point. And a 1/2 cup of sweet peas for 1 point. I know it may not seem like the best lunch but it really is hitting the spot for me. I think Ill even have a piece of fruit when Im done. Yum

I hope y'all are sleeping well...have a good day when you get up!

Love,
Deanne

Well i think my ideal size is an 8 as well..a 6 would be nice, but highly unlikely I actually have hips and i doubt they'll enjoy being shoved into a 6 lol
and deanne, i'm old and i do have lots of kids.. lol i just face the facts. I'm not shy about saying i'm 32 and have 4 kids. Ask my 12 yr old.. she'll tell you i'm older than dirt.
We went for our walk this morning even though it was sprinkling on our heads. It was nice though. I enjoy getting out every morning. It gives me a reason to get up and not sleep half the day

Default Hi Curvy Vixens!!!!

Okay---so beat me up with a wet noodle y'all (Deanne & Lynn in particular!). I have been absent way too long! Sorry about that. Guess I owe you a short novel to explain. I just got done reading all 19 pages of this thread! Wow--do you think its time to start a new chapter? Feels like just yesterday Deanne and I were chatting on the buddy board and dreamed up this "Curvy Vixens" group. We are the female foxes--everyone here that is!

Anyway....I need to do some catching up and fill you all in...but wanted to send out a quick hello and let you know I am alive and kicking. I will be back shortly to explain myself....like Ricky says to Lucy "you have some splainin to do!"

Tootles for now my fair maiden friends!

GoddessKIM...thats awesome!! How do you like pilates? Ive never tried it.

Ok, i posted this earlier but it didnt show up for some reason. The hubby goes on leave Saturday. Now, Im scared that Im going to get off track because of it. We're only going to go out to a bar maybe once. I can only have one drink anyway because of effexor. That alone will make me drunk
Im just scared that I will get off track with my sleeping patterns. Then, that will make me get off track of WW. Maybe I can get Nic on my sleeping schedule. His shift will be different when he goes back to work anyway.

Do y'all have any suggestions?

Love,
Deanne

Pilates is difficult. It's a bit un-natural to curl up in a ball and roll back and forth however it does work your abs something huge. I enjoy it and if i can get half the results they show on the girls that are doing it i'll be thrilled!!!

Default Here is my short novel...

I told you I would be back with my short novel…here goes!

I am happy to see you are all around and some new faces have joined in! Welcome to some of you gals who haven’t seen me around. I promise I will be from here on out. I took an unannounced leave of absence. It’s been a whirlwind of events for me—let me tell ya!

As I had mentioned previously I have been on a serious job hunt—especially because we have been warned of a likely layoff in the Fall. And I am just not the type of girl who can sit back and let things happen. Not too mention—I am just plain bored and unfulfilled in my job after 5 years (even without the layoff). So I had been sending out resumes—and last week I ended up having 3 interviews with 3 different companies. That was just lucky coincidence on my part—I never anticipated getting called all in the same week for so many jobs. Well it was stressful to say the least. But I knew I had to go through with all the interviews. I feel pretty good about 2 of the interviews/jobs. I got called back for a 2nd interview with one of the companies this week. I have already talked to them for a total of 6 hours on these interviews. LONG and a wee bit stressful (just cuz that’s the way interviews are)! I feel good though—because they say they have narrowed it down to me and one other person. If only I didn’t have any competition left! But I have to count my blessings. I am praying so hard that it works out! I am excited, nervous, anxious, hopeful—you get the idea!

Anyway…so on top of that, I was supposed to be in a final competition for this local Karaoke contest this past Friday. I had come in first place a few weeks back—and then all the first place winners were supposed to come back for a finals competition. Well the night before I felt my throat starting to hurt—figured it was just stress with all the interviews. By the next day I felt awful and was running a fever. I just couldn’t make it to the competition—it would have not been any fun (and I say don’t bother unless it’s fun!). I was truly bummed, I wanted to go hang out with some of my singing pals. By the next day I made my way to the doctor and found I had a bad case of Strep Throat. So I laid in bed on meds for a few days. I feel so much better now! I could barely drink water—so even though I lost a few pounds—that wasn’t exactly ideal!

And as some of you know I go to school full time on top of everything else—so I have been busy learning how to design web pages in my web programming class. Pretty cool—I have learned a lot! Now I only have 4 classes and I will finally be done with my degree! Woohoo!

Oh—and remember a while back I was headed to an auction? That is something I like to do everyone once in a while—it’s like a treasure hunt. Well—I got way ahead of myself and bought an old bass boat. What was I thinking? I was thinking how much my husband might like it and I end up getting a boat for next to nothing. My kids think its great. They have washed the thing a few times. I am still thinking—well maybe I shouldn’t have done that. I am a bit too spontaneous for my own good sometimes. I just might put the boat on eBay…I know that is all totally nuts! No more auctions for me for a while. But I did score some really pretty paintings. All is not lost!

By the way Deanne—I checked out your website…love it! I love the photos. You are such a softy for animals like me. I had a funny thing happen—where our neighbor’s dog decided she liked to come play with my two dogs. We have 2 fences between our properties. And this cute little boxer pup still figured out how to get under them and into our yard. She did this 4 times in one day recently! My dogs were having a grand ole time running around with her. Needless to say, the neighbors did something—because she hasn’t come back since that crazy episode! My dogs have to settle for waving through the fence and running back and forth looking at each other.

One more thing—here is my email address: [email protected]. So if you ever want to email me and beat me with a wet noodle please do! Everyone once in a while we all need a swift kick or just hear “HEY YOU”!

Quote for the day: "The only thing that stands between a woman and what she wants from life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe that it is possible."
