Shad the wine sounds superb. Actually that is going to be one of my challenges but I am having an amnesty day on Sunday as we have a do on here!
So walking daily...6-7 and no wine ...argh. I'm substituting with a gorgeous mineral water that I have found with 0 calories. it's yummy and I feel oh so elegant drinking it.(out of a special wine glass too)
I am back on track girls and feeling like myself again. It's been a funny few days. The house is clean, the washing is done, I have walked and the kids are settled.
It's my DS 's birthday on Saturday, he is 13!!! I can't believe those numbers, I still remember when I was 13. He is growing fast I want to sprinkle something on his head to make him stop!
As a celebration he is having a sleepover with 10 other smelly teens..uggg.
Wish me luck .
Kirsty...well done on the weight loss. 3lbs is great.
enjoy your days everyone and i will catch u all in the morning

craig tok cloe out to play with his pals last night {as shes a wee bit dotty } and now shes going out and wondering why when she barks at the snow it doesnt start flying about so she can chase it she doesnt seem to realise you need 11 teenagers acting like 5 year olds to make the snow fly !!!!!!
SHAD i will apologise again i will tell you on the friday but this week its walking the dogs no sweets or crisps sorry for being a pest i might get one of you to tell me how to add it to my signature so you wont have to search

That sounds really nice Linus!!!!! Congrats on the loss!!!!
Suzi~ my DS is 6 and I remember beinig in Grade 1 clearly. It doesn't seem possible that it was 33 years ago! EW, ten smelly teens, LOL! Glad you are back on track!!!!
I am not doing as well this week.
Great loss Teel!!!!!
Shad~ you are sounding super busy with everything. Although, your mini holiday at the temple sounds lovely. My DH spent a month in Japan 15 years ago. He made a good friend who came and lived here for 2 years. We keep in touch regularily. He came to be our best man when we married. My DS is studying Japan in school right now. We have taken in pics, clothing and other memorabalia. It has been nice reliving it with DH. The temple is gorgeous. It must be stunning in real life.
Mel~ Me thinks you were born to wear a crown!!!! Well done chickie!!!!
I am feeling a little down today.
I had 8 kids yesterday. DS did not do well.My hormones are wacky.
3 kids today. I will soon have a shower and face the day. LOL, I have already put in 3 hours but I will start fresh!
We had a blizzard yesterday late aft. It is still and clear now. All the new snow is glistening in the sun.

Have a peaceful day!

Shad~ I am doing eDiets food only and exercise for 7 days
I think Linus had a great idea...I will put my weekly challenge in my signature each week and my results on Friday night! You can find me anytime! I thought of calling each time! But would need a new job!!! Glad the contract is extended and hope they STAY busy! But not TOO busy! If you haven't the time to track us... please don't give it a thought. We can track ourselves.
Right now I wish I was in someone's summer garden....21* here today and that will be the high IF it makes it over 19!!
Hope the commute eases up. good for you that you went to the gym...to unwind is a good thing.

Linus~ YAY YOU!!! Congrats on the 3 pounds!!! Very nice work!!
Loved the snow visual! Our little dusting is all gone. It looked lovely and white for all of an hour!!!

Teel~ Another loss for you too! Congrats on the 2 lbs!! Must be the swimming and walking! All that great exercise. good for you too! Maybe in the Spring the ticker will let you get rid of the snowman!

Suzi~ Happy BD to the DS!!!! OH to be young again!(NOT)
Good luck with the sleepover AND the goals! Are you sure you want no wine while all those boys are jumping around?!?!?!

Like the fool I am....I ate the other pancake leftover from the day before! I could have tossed it out the night before but saved it. It was a conscious act too. Bad Mel. 2 days out of the running now! Weigh in today for the eDiets was 172+...the same as last week. Wonder if the pancakes will show up next week! I can feel the crown slippimg sideways a bit!
Hope it doesn't end up around my throat!!! Have a great day and sweet dreams Shad............Lullabye and good night la la la

Hey thanks for those that came in with their challenges. I hope we are all doing well and that you are all doing better than me. It seems I have the opposite problem to you all and I get tired of exercising in the heat. Today is my day off from gym, which the boys at work will be glad of anyway. They like it when I go to exercise in the afternoon as they reckon it's too hard to keep up when I come racing in after a morning session. *snort* They are just getting tired of project work and wanting it to be over, but there is a ways to go yet. Project work starts slow, builds and builds and builds and then when you think that it is all done and over with, you end up with a bit more work. One of my equivalents from Sydney rang yesterday, she is inundated with stuff that there was three of us doing last week. She's gone from have three documents to review, revise and correct to 103 - and to think we were worried about running out of work. Ha Ha

Holly, I'm sorry to here that you aren't feeling the best. 8 kids must take it out of you. The bathroom dramas are enough to drive you crazy especially with kids in and out of there frequently. Hope it all comes right shortly. Get that spotting checked out too, it's probably nothing but stress, but never ignore it. Get an answer.

Duties calls. Back tonight.

Poor Holly, she has been kidipated I've been there, just shake your head to loosen all the lingering echos of kids screaming and focus in on your bellybutton, center yourself
I think this picture is great, so apt.

Shad-I am suffering from post tramatic lunge disorder. The front of my upper thighs are still in scarecrow wobble mode and haven't recovered. I did that on Sunday and they are still screaming, getting up out of a chair is a slow process... where have those muscles been hiding anyway? This is ridiculous, I guess if I try them again, I'll only do one set once a month I thought my upper body was my weak point but I'm not feeling any residule affects from my curls at all. I know nothing about my physical self. I will do upper body weights and try to avoid sugar again this week. Although my daughter just shared a bite of her chocolate sucker from Christmas with me, LOL, behind again Thank you for the wine tip and the picture, I will look out for it. I adore red wines, dry and full flavoured. Work sounds like you are heads down and nose to the grindstone, don't keep that up or you will finish too soon and they will not extend the contract

Mel-wearing your crown at a rakish angle? How is that ediets menu looking? Are you full? Do they include snacks? Got to keep that blood sugar from dropping and triggering a binge. I have been trying to keep something digesting at least every three hours, some protien especially to stave off the mind-body takeover Fish is my friend, I love canned fish

Suzi-Good luck with the gang of teenagers, you are a brave woman! Good to hear you are feeling confident about your goals and focused, feels great to have a direction doesn't it?

Linus-a winter wonderland at your house? Sigh, we had. Now it is a torrential rain storm, hasn't stopped for two days. Nothing more fun for a dog than snow to plow through and kids to play with, I bet she was exhausted afterward and didn't bark at a thing

Teel-congratulations, you have been doing well if you are experiencing a loss on the scale. I'm just trying to get the exercise in, I am leery of that mechanical number pusher (I'M SURE IT LIES!)

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meadow~ where did you get that pic of me?? I looked just like that this morning, LOL!!!!!!!
Thanks for the smiles!!!!!
I am definitely feeling better as the day goes on. I had a hot steamy shower and did my yoga tape. I got a lot of tidying and laundry done.DH did go to work(late) even though with a wind chill of -36C it is considered dangerous.
I am fighting a headache, took some advil.
DS actually had a good morning and arrival home today.Yippee!!

Off to cook dinner. Thanks for the kindness gals!!!!!

good evening ladies
how are we all this evening ??? well the snow has gone and now we have mush when i took the dogs for a walk cleo came back looking like a dalmation covered from head to toe in black muddy dots !!!!!!!! shower for her have been looking very close at packets and jars today and i think ive found out why the weight gain 1. my strepsils{sore throat lozenges}are CHOCK FULL of sugar 2.my low fat chocolate drink i didnt think to look at the carbs but did this morning waiting for the kettle to boil and there are 23% carbs of which are sugars up until march last year i had never been on a diet and i must have missed something at the diet classes or something but nobody said anything about sugar carbs i only ever look at the fat content and calorie content if they have one ,so tomorrow i will bw going through the cupboards and fridge to see how many other DIET products are wrong so is there any other things i should be looking out for??
SHAD thanks for updating me but my poor wee muddy doggie is called cleo my neice is called chloe we called her cleo cause she thinks shes a queen but thanks im not sure if i should be hoping your work gets eased off a bit or not?? if it eases up too much it means you have no contract is that right?? well maybe ill just wish for more patient work colleagues did your wine club name that wine after me ??? im glad im not tart maybe a cheeky little number
MEL i was watching a program this morning {baby story ??} it was based at a hospital in new jersey i was very eagle eyed incase a scary woman in an electric wheelchair tried to run down the cameraman ill be joining you on this cleaning binge your having as i couldnt find my favourite doggy slipper socks in my underwear drawer i had to tip the blooming thing out dh cant understand why i NEED 30 pair of knickers and as you can only wear one at a time {and i dont wear one if i can help it}why do i have twelve bras????? "MEN"
ROSE i was thinking about you this morning i was out the backgreen this morning when cleo spotted a cat and gave chase thankfully she didnt catch it but had a slight giggle to myself thinking about her trying to chase an elk or wolf i may have to ship her over to you to scare her into not chasing things smaller than her {or bigger depending how she fels or who she meets}my mums in the middle of knitting a shawl for my sisters, sister-in-law i couldnt follow thw pattern if i tried its like knitting cobwebs i sew i make my own curtains and cushion covers and bits i love hand sewing though hurts the peepers but i do enjoy doing it
MEADOW this bloody animal of mine never seems to get tired till about 10.30.pm{after her last walk} then she lies on the setee and snores till i go to bed and then comes to bed and goes under the duvet and we dont see her again until its time to go out in the morning but during the day shes like a dynamo and she can bark for scotland she has different types of bark and you can tell what kind of a mood shes in with the tone of the bark but shes still my baby
HOLLY ditto on the picture i get up an hour earlier in the morning so as i have a chance to turn human again before i have to get the kids up
CANDLE i saw some very naughty candles the other day not the kind of things youd parade in front of the grandkids but lets just say whoever moddeled for it must have been a BIG BOY
SUZI glad your back we missed you and your cheery posts how are your kids off until the end of january ??? sounds like torture to me i think my kids where the first ones in the school on going back day
TIG "COME OUT ,COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE " pop in and let us know your ok luv we worry and ive got enough grey hairs without any more so for the sake of my lovely locks pop in
right imgoing to go and play settlers time to boss around my wee men

Default Gotta be quick

I've had to bring home some work tonight so I will be here and gone. I don't want to be sitting here at midnight trying to work.

Cleo, I am so sorry I called you Chloe. I'm getting old and no doubt a bit senile. You can get back at me another time.
Linus good on you for getting into the cupboard and getting rid of the junk food in there. It is always a real eyeopener to look at the labels and see just what you have been missing. Linus I loved the description of the green with snow on it. Do you live somewhere near the castle or are you out of the old part of town?

Meadow I think I put you wrong about the name of the wine. I think the Vina (with the tilde ~ over the n) is the name of the vineyard and the name of the wine is Monastrell (Vino Tinto Jumilla) Monastrell is on the front and on the back it has the words I put in brackets with it. I wouldn't describe Linus as tart would you??? Love the picture of Holly in the Morning. (I hope Holly knows I am joking?? No one gets to see me first up in the morning either. Why else do you think I get up so early) As for your poor sore thighs, the best treatment is to do it all again tomorrow, despite the pain. It will go away quicker that way as the muscles become workable again. And they stay that way. Lots of water to move the lactic acid out of the cells and you will be right - just don't try chasing the DH around the house just yet.

Hey Mel wtch that crown. If you drop the Honours of Scotland, you may well have the wee Scots lass amongst us charging into the States with the dogs who will be waiting for their dinners.

Teel, congratulations on that 2lb loss. Well done you. Must be the swimming and the walking doing it. It amazes me how much a bit of exercise will take off - up to a point that is, but even better having the blood levels spot on. Go girl.

Gotta go. Bills to pay and work to do.

Default Good Morning Everyone!

Hi what a week..... I have not been good on my challenge....it improves tomorrow on my day off. I am getting home too late because of problems with the new employee ....so a quick meal and some unwind I am in bed and back at work before I know what hit me.....
Linus, I would love to sit at your side and get pointers on some hand work. I know how frustrating it is not to be able to continue something you enjoy. I bought a big magnafying glass that hangs around my neck for fine work that I might get motivated some day to do...that helps me a little. So happy for your loss girl....keep it up...... we can do this thing!!!
WEll, everyone I hope all is well and we continue to fight for our goals....
Have a great day...
Nae

Drink more water...... treadmill 30 minutes.....weights 10 mins.

Shad~ Hope you got to bed at a decent hour! What is a decent hour anyway? When I did the Indian dance for more work...maybe I over did it a bit?!? Hope you get some Shad time this weekend!

Lorraine~ I had a friend named that, MANY years ago! Love that name. I felt like Holly's pic this morning! Hope the legs feel better! OUCH!!! Very nice exercising though and think you are doing a superb job! I did have a bit of trouble with the ediet thing. I too ate 5-6 times a day but they eat 4. So over the weekend you know what happened...shaky and confused. Ergo the pancakes. I am feeling better and have put the protein bar/shakes back into my plan. they are only 110 cals anyway so it gives me strength without fat. loved the graphic BTW! LOL

Holly~ Hope today puts a smile on your face. Taking care of people can be tiring and you must never forget yourself(like I do! ROFL)

Linus~ good thing th dog didn't get lost in the snow!
I used to have drawers full of knickers and things!! Had a good laugh at yours!!! Just tell the DH that Aunt Fanny needs a bit of dressing up to feel good too! When reading labels look for SODIUM contents!!! Salt is the #1 weight sabotuer!(sp)
Helps to retain water! When I read my labels it was a real eye opener. They had told me to watch out for sugar and fat. Salt was the real reason I was bloated! I also found out that celery has a lot of natural salt. Have fun in the cupboards!!!

Nae~ Your post reminded me of the new GUY coming....I am a bit disappointed that #1 he is part time and #2 is not cracking rulers over hands as fast as I would like! They say "Good things come to those that wait....patiently" and I hope they are right! Good luck! Have a great weekend making it up to yourself!

Rugmen are still on my floor so I am keeping busy inside here. Jen gave me an VERY early BD present in hopes of slowing us both down. She even bought her own BD present!! It's a Tranquility Fountain. While it changes color and makes a cold mist(cloud) there is a crystal ball on top of a piece of white quartz that rotates. In the dark it makes reflections on the walls and ceiling like a pond. Being a good Pisces I love the sound of the water!
I am going to incorporate it's talents into my meditation that I promised myself I would start now that time will be on my side this year. Need to do a food shop tomorrow so hope this impending snow storm is slow in the coming. Have a great day!

good evening girlies !!! this will be a quick post because im so bloody sore and ive sat here too long talking to my sister and teel so i need to get up and move for a while in any direction barr the bathroom my ibs is playing up not a great combination needing to RUN to the loo and not being able too
diet has been good but oim afraid i havent been able to give the dogs there walk as i cant get down the stairs so tomorrow{ } theyll get an extra long one
SHAD i meant the name of the wine being the same as mine i havent been able to be a tart for soooo long i do the get up before every one else thing too the only difference is that im to blooming grumpy in the morning that nobody would get out of bed
MEL thanks for that i never thought about salt/sodium ill look for that too im going to have to do the fridge because theres a very definant smell coming from there did the wardrobe and will do the drawers later parading my knickers in front of the kids are not allowed either they are to big and they are old lady knickers or they are too small and im too old for them {god forbid i should wear g-strings instead of thongs theyd probably leave home } so drawers tonight if i can be bothered if not in the morning
ROSE the one you want to sit beside is my mum i dont know if you have the old fashioned thing that your babys first shawl should be thin enough to pull through your wedding ring ?? well my mum can knit those and pom poms and tassles and arran and all shape of things its a shame she knits so well and when i was pregnant with craig she prayed so hard for a grandson {after four girls}that she now has seven grandsons and no granddaughters so all those frilly and lacy things are wasted on us i once told her even if i had any daughters they still wouldnt get to wear hats that make them look like loo roll covers
right ladies i had better go and ill speak to you all tomorrow

Well Shad you were right. My legs are feeling normal again without that aching pain that was crippling me. I did two miles of my WATP tape and shazam! I upped my water intake too Thank you for that insight, I wouldn't have done squat till that pain subsided otherwise Having to bring work home isn't that like slave labour? GAH! Is eight hours not enough for those people? I hope they appreciate you.

Mel-I'm a Pisces too I have a huge fishtank to get my negative ions circulating throughout the house, it is being quite loud at the moment, I need to add water Your serenity fountain with the clouds and twirling ball sounds very Las Vegas, is there a little Elvis that pops up in a speedo somewhere if you press the right spot? How much longer are you going to be held hostage by the rugmen? I hope you open the door and look out on a regular basis just so they get the hint

Holly-so glad the pic gave you a smile. Those kids are majorly taxing when they flip into search and destroy mode My youngest, Emily, didn't go to kindergarten today because of a meltdown. Hitting me, wouldn't eat her breakfast, wouldn't put on her socks and boots, so I just gave up and took her sister to school. Emily decided she wouldn't mind going to school at around 10:30am and had another hissy fit when I said she blew it and could try again tomorrow. I'm glad your son was in a good mood today, I hope it lasts

Rose- Sounds tough at your job ((((HUGS)))) Aim for deep breaths when the newbie does something and remember to smile, they will be an old hand and useful to you soon

Linus-on the subject of tartiness, I found this cartoon and thought you might get a chuckle. Watch out for those sneaky sugar carbs, they keep trying to jump on me and I'm having to take ninja stances to fight them off.

hello to our dear readers
