I am almost too good at what I do. Now I am pooping my pants.

SO, I pitched Avon catalogue sales to the local playschool for fundraising. They said great( used to do regal) .I will earn 10% to cover my expenses and they will earn 30%.The sales count towards my total which will put me into President club and I will earn bonuses and get free product etc. I have 20 families buying and selling for me now.
Breathe!! Exciting and scary.
I also have 3 more people potentially on the hook for leadership.I could earn a $200 bonus. Yowza.
Our grocery order came yesterday. the “boys” moved our 2nd freezer to the basement from the shed. Very nice. Canned goods go on shelves in the basement and dry good go on shelves in the laundry room. I still need to truck the cans downstairs. Good exercise.
Tonight is my TV night. Canadian Idol and Tommy Lee. My Avon order goes in at 10 pm. I did 25 calls yesterday and received 8 more orders.
School council meeting was great last night.
Tomorrow night I go to the bulk store and do Grandma’s perm. She has had an infection and is on antibiotics. They make her really sick. She says she is feeling better now.
8 kids today. My helper is coming.
The house is pretty tidy. Lots of laundry to get started today.
Okay, soy shake and face the day!!

Have a profitable day! LOL!

( I will try for personals later, consider yourself boosted up and well hugged)

Hi guys,

I just joined and am very excited to "meet" all these wonderful women who are working hard to get fit. Getting under 200 pounds is my mini-goal. I need to lose more than that, but don't really have an ultimate goal yet ... I just wanna see a 1 as the first number on the scale! ;)

Like many of you, I am a yo-yo dieter. Lost 30 pounds last year and regained almost (but not quite) all. I felt SO good just down 30 pounds, I can't imagine how it will feel to be down 50 or 75 or 100 .... but I am determined to get there.

My husband, who is also losing, and I made a commitment to eat organic. We made major changes to our diet last year (which we have stuck to ... but too many treats and too much dining out has crept back in). I just planted a fall garden so we can grow some of our own veggies. We switched to whole grain bread --- I often make my own, and even use whole wheat pastry flour for ALL my baking. We rarely eat rice, pasta, or potatoes. We eat a lot of fish and lean cuts of meat (we even switched from ground beef to ground bison, which is MUCH lower in fat and cholesterol, and tastes great). I don't use artificial sweeteners, except in my soft drinks, to which I remain addicted. :^:

We're also working out regularly. It really helps to have a buddy. And this community is terrific, too! I really love reading about other people's ideas, struggles, and successes; and I love the tracking bar (so cute).

Anyway, hello, I'm here, and I look forward to getting to know you guys. :)

Hi Everyone.
I finally made it home from my folks. We had a great week and were healthy. They are selling their house so I worked with them on doing home repairs and cleanup. Hard labor is definately good for the soul and the diet. I couldn't wait to weigh in when I got home and I lost 2 lbs while I was away! I should have waited until the morning but I was excited.
Everyone here sounds like they are doing great and really coming along with their goals. It is very motivating to visit and read all of the inspiring posts.
Have a great day, ladies.

Good evening everyone,
I've had a good day.
Knee Is feeling better so I made it to curves today.
I picked up my new glasses, then saw how much smaller the frame is. My old glasses hide my brows so they had gone native on me. I stopped and got them waxed. They sure look better.
B- yogurt and applesauce
S- 1 tbs peanut butter eaten off the spoon (I might get old but I refuse to grow up)
L- 1 c spaghetti w/ meatsauce
salad w/ ff dressing
D- grilled chicken sandwich, dry

Suzy and Annie: CONGRATS!!! :) Ya'll really are doing great. (((HUGS)))

Bluebonnet: Welcome, It is great to have a fellow Texan here. You will love this site. Everyone here is very supportive and always full of great ideas.
It's great you can get your hubby to join you. Mine tries for a few days then mostly just goes back to his old habits.
I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow I just had someone drop by. later

Hello…I am still here, been reading but not posting….just haven’t felt like I had that much to add to anything. Went to visit some relative and had a good time, then came back and started back to work for the school year…..school started here last week, today was the 4th day, and all I hear is the catastrophes and problems, everyone wants me there RIGHT NOW! And I am feeling torn to pieces and ineffective at my job……I want to just scream at them all….. “IT HAS ONLY BEEN 4 DAYS!!!!” These kids have been away from school and routines for nearly 3 months and you can’t expect them to just be ready to go right away! I work with middle and high school teachers who teach students with severe disabilities……it takes awhile for them all to get back into the swing of things! Anyway…..it will get better, it always does, but this year I was hoping for a smoother start!

As far as ME! Doing fine….TRYING to get to exercise…..either the Y or just a nice long walk outside, but if I don’t get it done right after work, it gets put aside…..I need to try for at least 3 times during the week and then the weekends. Eating has been great too….still the scale does not move….so I am not feeling as motivated as I have been, but not giving up either….just staying the course because right now that is easy and I don’t need anymore stress…..so it goes……

I will try to post from time to time!

Good Morning Ladies.........

Had a great day yesterday, am planning on walking today. WW is the best and I still love it.

I am feeling really sad for the Katrina victims down south. The interviews with people actually make me cry for them. The area in New Orleans is so poor, then all that happens, they literally have nothing. The entire city is under water. Prayers are definately need for them.

Work has been crazy and a bit overwhelming, but doable. My days fly by. LilyB, hope things smooth out for you and get more under control.

Have a simply marvelous day!

(((HUGS TO ALL)))

I have been reading The DaVinci Code for our book club that meets next week.An enjoyable read. Very fast paced.I am liking all the historical imagery.
I got my Avon order in last night. Now I get a week long breather til the order comes in and then it will be about delivering product and doing a catalogue blitz.
My Dad has been emailing. Makes me happy.
Food has been pretty good. I am liking the soy shake. It is creamy. I crave creamy.I seem to feel full longer too.
I weigh in tonight. I am going to do Grandma’s perm tonight. It will be nice to be away from home without kids.
I am very weary. I had an 8 hour sleep and woke tired and achey.

hevron 08-31-2005 11:00 AM

It's just those darn snacks

Today I'm struggling a bit w/snacks. Remember those yummy chocolates I told you my co-worker brought in for all of us to "enjoy"? They are simply CALLING MY NAME this morning! I always am craving chocolate anyway, so to have it so readily available is a dangerous thing.

We have a department picnic today - pitch-in. I plan to eat lots of fruits and vegetables so I can stay away from the dip, chips, brownies, etc. I did bring in a dip as well, but I used light sour cream and brought pretzels not chips. At least they are lower in fat, I guess.

Tonight is another water aerobics class. Had to do my "own" on Monday night; couldn't stay for the class. But once I learned some major moves, I was able to get a pretty good workout on my own! Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I also feel so sad for the hurricane victims in Louisiana and Mississippi - some of those areas are just flattened. Looks like it's going to be a very long road to recovery.

Debbie 08-31-2005 11:46 AM

Just Wi At Work.
Down 3 Lbs.
Gotta Go

Girlie 08-31-2005 01:59 PM

Hi Ladies. I can't apologize enough because I feel so guilty from being gone for so long.

Holly:
I thank you so much for still sending me a shout-out...it's like you have hope for me! *hug*

Ladies, I haven't been to the gym since shortly after vacation in June. Summer is a terrible time for me to try to get to the gym. I think I just get self conscious, the gym is humid and I get extra sweaty and whatever other reason I can think of. The fall and winter are good times and I tend to go pretty consistently. I planned to go back Monday night actually...but we got bad news...

My nephew went to the doctor Monday and was rushed to the St. Jude hospital here for tests. Turns out he's got leukemia, and they are leaving tomorrow for the Memphis St. Jude Center for 2-3 months of treatment. It's very sad. So we've been going to the hospital after I get home from work to see the little guy. He's 4. He has a 7 year old brother and a 1.5 year old brother who my husband and I will help take care of since the parents will be gone for a week. The dad will be back in a week to go back to work, and then head back down there every couple of weeks or so. It will be a tough next few months. Hope he's back by Thanksgiving...or at least for Christmas!

It sucks for my sister in law. She just turned 30 on Sunday...and her oldest turned 7 on Sunday as well. She's got so many burdens to bear - the 7 year old has a heart problem and has already had 2 open heart surgeries, one at 2 weeks old and one at 2 months old...and they are saying he will be lucky to live through his teens...and that he'll probably need a valve replacement surgery by the time he is 10.

The younger one had a heck of a time coming into the world - she didn't get to hold him for 2 days...and they thought he'd have a deformed head due to his skull plates not fusing...but he's okay now.

And she's just been diagnosed with a disease herself that makes her exhausted and nauseous...and her instructions from the doctor are to "take it easy" and "sleep".

So...it's crazy.

But a good affirmation for me trying to be healthy as can be and be strong while I have the strength to do it.

So anyway, I'll try to post more often. I'll probably ask questions about kids since we'll be taking care of the kids for a week. The 7 year old is pretty self sufficient, just whiny...but the 1.5 year old is a momma's boy and will cry for a week straight without his mom....

Girlie

hevron 08-31-2005 05:22 PM

Welcome back, Girlie!

Hey, just let me encourage you and tell you that I will be praying for healing in your family. God can provide a miracle and heal all of those little guys! I believe it and we'll call it done. Stay encouraged!

Hollyhock 08-31-2005 05:27 PM

Ditto what Hevron said!! Healing prayers.

suzy1965 08-31-2005 07:54 PM

Girlie- My heart and my prayers go out to you and your family. What a difficult time for all of you. I pray that everything ends up all right. It is a great goal to try to make yourself healthy and strong for your family.

Heather- Congrats on bringing healthy snacks for the picnic and water arobics sounds like a blast. I just got the 1 mile watp tape to do in addition to the 2-3 10-15 minute walks with the dog per day. It is by no means a workout but it is something right now. I struggled with snacks today also. I made a healthy low cal, low carb turkey wrap for lunch but then the Goldfish got me. I ate a lot of the little suckers, lol. It have been much worse. Dinner is chicken cutlet and salad. You are doing great!

Debbie- Holy Toledo! Congrats on the 3 pounds. That makes 11 in 2 weeks!! Woohoo!! You are going gangbusters. Keep up the great work. You inspire me.

Holly- You are always on the go. You tire me out. I make shakes with fresh or frozen berries, fat free yogurt, skim milk, ice, and splenda (if needed). They fill me up and feel like a real treat. Sometimes I make them for dessert. Sounds like you are doing well. I hope weigh in goes well.

Annie- Keep up the great job. You inspire me too. Congrats on the 1 pound loss. Don't get discouraged, it will catch up eventually. I can't even watch the news. As soon as it comes on I have to turn it off. I was the same with the tsunami and as a NYer I will never get over 9/11. I absolutely hate to see anyone suffering.

Lily- I hope the job stuff settles down for you. Glad to hear that you can stay op with all of that stress! Shaking up your program a little may help the scale move. Stick around for the support; it does help.

BBD- Welcome. I really admire your commitment to the healthy lifestyle and what terrific changes you've made in your life. You will get to the ones in no time! I haven't gone as far as you have but I have switched to only whole grains (no white) and the difference in energy is amazing. Even w/o losing weight I feel much better staying away from the energy sucking white stuff. Glad you are here.

Susie- How are you doing? Did you get your new car? How is your commitment to more "me" time working for you?

Anyone I Missed- I hope all is going well.

I am hanging in there. Eating is good, exercise is moderate at best, water is great. I went to the doc today because my last urinalysis showed abnormally high levels of protein (there should be none). I have to see a nephrologist because it could be an indicator of kidney disease. I'm a little freaked out but I'll have to wait it out.

I guess I've gabbed enough here. I hope everyone has a great night.
Sue

Debbie 08-31-2005 09:16 PM

Good evening everyone,
I really can't believe my loss. I know the scales are right because I weigh the same at curves. Only thing I can figure out is I am fairly competative.
I hate to be last at anything. I've really, really been trying. I'm sure the rate of loss will really slow down next week.
I got a late start this am and didn't make it to curves.
B- yogurt, applesauce
S- A few grapes
L- ww meal
s- 1/2 apple
d- ww meal, mustard greens, 1 slice ww bread.
s- a hot dog, plain no bun

Girlie: I send my prayer for your family. St Jude's work miracles everyday. Nephew is in excellent hands.
(((HUGS)))

Sue: I don't know why they can't make diet goldfish, I love them.
When my grandson was 2 I took him on a 900 mile trip to see my sister. I bought him some of the big flat goldfish for a snack and he refused to eat them but he made them swim everywhere. He played with them more than the toys I took him.

Heather: GOOD JOB !! avoiding the snacks. The water aerobics is something I would like to do. They have a class close but my plate is full right now.
maybe later.

Holly: Hi :). Do you do a fall garden?

Lily: Good to hear from you. Glad your doing well. :)

I agree I feel so sorry for the folks that Katrina ripped their lives apart.
I hope the recovery is not as long as they are predicting.
