Mornin' All........

Tis a fine day on this Thursday! All is good! Still OP and on track, no slip ups..THANK YOU JESUS!

WELCOME BACK SUZY!! We still love ya, come on back. Have you thought about Weight Watcher's? I am starting my 4th week, and down 12.5 so far. I know you have to be motivated to do it, however I am NEVER hungry and I eat all the time.

Holly - How do I get to your journal? I want to see your pictures. Great start to the cal count. Keep going, you can do it.

LilyB - I am sure the exercise is helping, I think I would lose more each week if I would get motivated to exercise. Good job!

Not much going on, have to register my son for Area 30 for building trades tonight. I thought I was getting off easy on Tuesday night at the high school registration of 102.00. Building trades will be 103.00. Thank God for overtime. Sheesh. Not to mention there will be buying gas for his car as he does not work during football season, and lunch money. BTW - his ankle is much better, he is off the crutches and walking with a slight limp.

Have a marvy day all, stay focused, we can all do this. Big Hugs to Suzy, get your mind set.

Annie

Good Morning All. I am determined to have a good day today. I will eat right and make better choices. I have a busy day planned and lots of work to do so that should make staying on track a bit easier. I hope we all have a great day.

Good Morning Ladies,
I did make yesterday a good day. It wasn't easy but I feel great about it. I took my 2 boys and their friend for McDees yesterday and had big eyes at the menu but I had the premier grilled chicken sandwich and only a few fries (didn't have achance anyway with three boys with me). The rest of the day was great. I need to stay very busy if I am to give it a go. How was everyone else's day?

Good morning!!!

Major rain showers here!!!! The kids were just outside testing their new raincoats I bought on Wed. Fun!! ( 18C, 66F!!!!))))
I was supposed to have 8 kids but 2 are going to their grandma's. Whew! It would be crazy stuck in the house.
I am very happy it is the weekend. No plans but puttering. I will need to scope out peaches. Local ones didn't produce this year because of a killing frost when in blossom.
Probably Niagara peaches will be the ticket.
I need to do bookkeeping for babysitting and Avon. I detest bookkeeping.
Food and water were much better yesterday!!!

Thanks Annie~ crafty stuff keeps me sane. I always have a project in the works. Hubby and Ds are the same, I am sure DD will follow.

Suzy~ YAHOO!!!!!!!!! You can do it!!!!

Debbie~ keep going. A little better every day adds up.

Happy Friday Everyone!!

The day is hot and humid but also glummy. Glad I work in air conditioning. The weekend is supposed to be like that both days. Guess it's ok I work both days at Kohls.

Not a lot going on, had a little trouble getting all my points in by the time I went to bed last night. Ended up with 1 point left and went to bed anyway.

Suzy, glad to see you back and posting. Stay positive.

Everyone else, come on in the water is great!!

Hope everyone has a terrific OP, on track weekend and I will chat at you all on Monday.

Good job, Suzy, it's a great thing to do to make affirmations like that. Good luck!!

I got on the scale today and it said 205, but my weigh in day is Sunday, so I won't take the final weight until then, but hopefully the 205 sticks (or lower, of course). I have 2 weeks to reach my goal and get to onederland! I will do it!

I was hopping around on the WW site and this site and came across some excellent quotes, etc.

This one I thought was particularly good.....

Prayer: Father, I thank you that you are giving me the courage and the insight to change. Help me to weed the garden of my heart, to get rid of the habits and patterns that are holding me back. Lead me to "alternative" activities in times of temptation. Thank you, Lord, that there is always a "way of escape" from these times. Help me, Father, to find it and take it. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"Don't give up, keep learning, and reading, and working hard, and you CAN do this. It's not an insurmountable goal!"

"If I stop trying, I know I will lose the battle."

Thanks for the great quotes, Annie. Sometimes all it takes is a few words to get it back on track. I have Chicken Soup for the Soul Weight Loss which is full of things like that. I pulled it out when I read your quotes and will keep it close by. I started to lose it a bit today but pulled it back and am ok. WW 1 point chili saved me. Have a great weekend.
Great job Haleys. Sounds like you are doing great.
Have fun with the peaches. I've been into blueberries lately. DH and I have a fat free blueberry shake for dessert sometimes.
Have a great weekend all.

Hi everyone.

Just got back from big week-long training conference in D.C. Between the funky food / meal schedules, long traveling and mind-numbing sessions  I was in a tight spot.

I was off program those three days :o , but am working to firmly replant my feet on the ground :^: .

Also just attended my first (of many) physical therapy session(s). Everything looks fixable with a little hard work and TLC.

And where better to learn those things than here. :D

Hey everyone,
I didn't make it to curves today. I had to be at work before the opened and when I got off work I was too tired. I did lots and lots of walking.
Fri I did fair on food till dinner and gave in and ate pizza. Today I had a sm burger for lunch. I just had slim-fast for dinner.
My boss told me fri she is looking into
doing WW at work. She's talkng about doing a group thing there. Thru the internet. That would be cool. I'm not sure I can weigh in front of these girls they are 20-30 overweight, not 100+.
I'm not the largest woman at work but I sure second.
Got to go.. I'll do personals later.

GIRLS KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! (((HUGS)))

Live is crazy...but I will not give up my RACE!

I have had the most horrendos week. My SIL continues to go through test after test and it's important to me to be her support system.

The good news is that with the Pelvic ultrasound, and that CAT scan of the organs, nothing has been found. She has a bone scan on monday and a PET (I think that's the name of it) on Monday also, then on Friday they are going back into the breast to take more tissue and also to take some lymph nodes.

Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers for her. Please continue them.

Last night my DH and I had been out for the evening and had been home for a few minutes and heard a loud popping sound and then a scraping sound. Someone hit both of our cars in front of the house!!! It was a hit and run, but our neighbor found the car by following the line that she left in the street due to driving on her axle. The cops found the driver, she fled on foot after the car wouldn't go anymore. She was drunk, had a suspended license and no insurance. We have full coverage on both cars. Our good car, a 2000 Malibu might be totaled. She did break the back tire rod and it might have also bent the frame. I just paid the car off 2 months ago. Our other car, a 97 Chevy Caviliar, has some cosmetic damage.

Of course, it all happened on the weekend and no one from my Insurance Co will be in contact with me until Monday. I don't think I have Rental on my insurance so I don't have anything to drive. We are lucky that the other car is driveable. My SIL took my nephews truck and brought it too me to drive until we know what's going to happen. She said I have to get to work somehow and he quit his part-time job, so she said he didn't need to drive it anyway. (my poopr nephew..he's 17 and without wheels!) He was really sweet..he said "Aunt Susie, you are going to look so cool in my truck, at least you have a tattoo and look sort of hot!" lol...the truck is BRIGHT yellow and low to the ground and even has one of those lights under it...I look right "up-town". I can't help but laugh and smile when I think about driving it.

I have to get back on track with my workouts and such. I'm trying to do what I can for now.

I just wanted to let you know that I'm not giving up!
Susie

Susie, that is so awful about your car and oh so funny about the yellow truck, just reading that made me laugh!

suzy1965 08-14-2005 08:32 AM

Good Morning Ladies,
So far, so good for me. I have been doing much better with food and staying busy. A few off choices but for the most part keeping my head in the game. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. It has been wicked hot and humid here in NY so my walks with the dog have been greatly cut down. I hope it breaks soon.
Susie- So sorry to read about troubles w/ SIL. I will keep good thoughts for her and you going your way. Wow. What else could go wrong now that both of your vehicles have been wiped out. When it rains, it pours. Hang in there. Better days are coming.
Debbie- Sounds like you are doing great. Keep up the great work. I think WW at work sounds great. I'm sure they can do private weigh ins. I've always hated the Public WI they do at the center. At mine we have to wait on line like some amusement park ride, get weighed and then pay. The weigher doesn't announce the weight but she does announce the gain/loss. I found the process kind of degrading. We can ask for a private weigh in but then even more of a spectacle is made. For me that's tough. If the at work thing is set up with private weigh ins for all from the get go then maybe it would work out great. It can be very inspiring, motivating, and fun to do it as a team at work. Let us know how it works out.
Cardio- I hope you enjoyed your conference and can get back on track. Travel is rough on the diet plan you can do it.
Have a great day everyone.
Sue
