Good evening everyone,
I did a little better today. I made it to curves. Then worked my rear off (LOL) at work. I was outside 95% of the day. I'm not sure if I walked off much weight but I sure sweated it off.
B- I was running behind so I didn't take time to eat.
L- A 5 point WW meal, sf Jello.
snack- apple
D- a small pork chop, a couple tbs of mashed potatos and a hugh salad w/ ff dressing
I weigh at work tomorrow so I can see if I did any good this week.

Bejeweled: CONGRATS!! :) GREAT LOSS.

Annie: WOO HOO!!! you guys are just rocking on. :) :)

Holly: My friend, you make me tired just reading your posts... LOL. You are a bundle of energy. And your home and gardens show it.
You always have time to help out other places also. What a wonderful caring and giving person you are.

Everyone have a great evening.

First, my apologies to EVERYONE for not keeping up lately! I am hoping to be back in the swing of things now!

3 weeks ago DH lost his job (his boss had been trying to find a reason to fire him for awhile because DH got his boss' son fired for legit reasons...DH ended up getting fired over leaving the freezer door open!!) So we went on a nice long vacation... and I gained 3 pounds! I went from being down 13 pounds to being down 9 pounds... so now I have to lose it all back!! (I've lost another 2 pounds, so one more pesky pound to get back to where I was!!)

On vacation I went back to drinking soda too :( So I need to break myself of that habit ASAP!! Luckily DH is supportive!

Annie, 18 pounds?!?! That's amazing!! WW is really working for you!! I need to get my butt in gear, maybe I should try WW!

BeJeweled, 2 pounds is a great loss!! ANY Loss is a great loss! It's 1 small step to a better, more healthy you!!

Debbie, it sounds like you had a great day!! But I do wish that this summer heat would fade into fall QUICKLY!! (Although not looking forward to a cold winter)

Good morning,
LB, Glad you made it back. That was a small gain for so much stress. I eat like crazy when I'm under a lot of stress. My mom was just the opposite. During her divorce she lost from 150 to 99 in just a couple pf months. Of all the genes she gave me I wish I had got that one... LOL I plan to go to curves again today. I have my WW meal and a snack ready.
It's going to be a good day. :)

EVERYONE HVE A BESSED DAY

MyChoice2bfit 08-24-2005 08:04 AM

Hello,
I've been here to read some posts put this is my first chance to post back.
It looks like everyone is doing great with the losses and those that have gained have had small gains. Remember that success is getting up one more time than when you fall down.

I've been doing pretty good with things this week. I've not been snacking, nor have I been eating a lot of sugar, and I've worked out everyday. I'm hoping for a loss at the scales tomorrow night at my TOPS meeting.

I'm getting my hair done tonight. It always makes me feel good. Been looking though the new clothes catalogues that have been arriving. I'm sort of depressed because I wanted to be in an 18 by now, and I'm still in a 20. But, it's better than the 24's I used to be in!

Just wanted to start my day with your wonderful ladies. Today is our day..let's us it to our best ability.

Susie

Hi--

I haven't been on this thread for a while, but it doesn't mean that I don't miss you, or that I've fallen totally off the wagon! It was hard to keep up with three busy threads, especially the personals, and I got a bit overwhelmed when life got crazy...so just passing through to send hugs and good wishes, and to congratulate you all for sticking with the Race to 199.

I'm settling into my new job, and happy as a clam. Vacations and out-of-town guests have come and gone, so I'm working my way back into my healthy routines--going to Curves, walking, low-carb eating and journaling. I'm also signing up for a full-figured Pilates class this fall. I regained a few pounds over the course of the summer, but I've stopped beating myself up about it and am moving forward.

I often read your posts, because just hearing your voices on this thread gives me energy and motivation. I will drop in now and again to say hi, and maybe by next month I'll be able to become a regular again. In the meantime, feel free to send me shout-outs through the private messages.

In the meantime, good luck and keep up the good work!

hugs--judy

YEAH!!!!

I LOVE WW, DOWN 8LBS :)

at work more this pm.

hevron 08-24-2005 12:33 PM

It's been 2 long

Some of you might remember me from way back when...think hard... :headache:

My last post was in Dec '04. I got too frustrated and disgusted to post anymore. Well, I'm gonna try this once again since I'm fast approaching my highest weight ever (again). The support in 3FC forums is so helpful...a great place to vent and get it all out. :tantrum:

I recently read some success stories about people who committed themselves to eating Lean Cuisines regularly. Anybody here tried that? I've also discussed bariatric surgery to a great extent and that is still in the back of my mind. My biggest problem is getting motivated to exercise again. Like many of us, I joined a women's fitness club, went for a few months with little or no success and got frustrated. So I've only been back briefly but hope to get back on the wagon fully.

Looking forward to getting back in touch with you guys and getting inspired by your successes!

Debbie Way To Go! Bravo!! And Congrats!!!

Debbie 08-24-2005 09:32 PM

Good evening everyone,
I made it to curves this am. That's 3x this week. It's been awhile since I've done that. Our little ww group at work has 13 people. 11 of us weighed today and we have a combined loss of 43.5 lbs in our 1st week. Good start.
B- yogurt and applesauce
L- ww meal and lrg salad
S- sf jello
D- 3 egg white omlette w/ grilled veggies and 1 sl of pepper jack cheese

I won't make it to curves tomorrow, work too many hours to need extra exercise but I will go sat.
Thank everyone for your support. This loss make all those tears the other night seem so silly. (((HUG))) :)

Holly: I don't think this loss is a lot of water. I sweat so much I have to take supplements to keep away the muscle spasms. I stay dehydrated most of the summer.
I really needed this moral booster. I was getting very discouraged.

Heather: WELCOME BACK! I feel like I just got back into the race. Jump on in. We will do this.

Judy: We are always glad to hear from you. Stop by anytime. Glad everthing is going well for you. keep in touch (((HUGS)))

Good night,

Hollyhock 08-24-2005 09:40 PM

Debbie This is a moral booster to keep you flying for weeks, maybe months. You must feel wonderful.(((HUGS)))

I was down 3.75 tonight. Sigh of relief. 1.25 to get back to 225. Then downward.

LegallyBrunette 08-25-2005 12:45 AM

I'm doing so horrible since I got back from vacation!! Hopefully I haven't gained!! With DH home all the time I haven't done much exercising :( Although I'm looking at my colleges website right now about their fitness facility (with DH not working I had to drop my gym membership) and here is what they say
Quote:

With over 60 pieces of high-tech exercise equipment, the Center’s innovative approach includes a complete initial individual assessment and exercise program and a highly trained staff of instructors to assist each member.
  • The Fitness Center is open to PCC students and employees as well as community residents.
  • The center offers one credit physical education courses in fitness conditioning designed to provide an education while students exercise on their own schedule.
  • Advanced students, employees and community participants may enjoy a variety of wellness and health seminars to assist in improving their total outlook on life.
  • Students can register for a 16-week conditioning course and initial orientation anytime.

Although after reading more I found out that it doesn't sound like I can use the gym without taking a 1 credit course...I don't want to pay $100 to use the gym for a few weeks this semester! HERE and HERE are some links if anyone can decipher for me ;)

Debbie, you sound like you are doing so great! I wish I could get on program like you!! You're posts always inspire me!

MyChoice, 20's are still better than 24's! I know you have the right attitude but it never hurts to be encouraged!! I can't wait till I'm down to 20's!! (22 right now)

Judy, it sounds like you're doing amazing!! And I totally understand how tough it is to keep up with personals! (Especially in busy threads like this one!)

Hevron, Welcome to our thread!! This is a wonderful place for support from some wonderful women! I know many times this thread has kept me on track! If you need anything at all, send me a PM!

Holly, CONGRATS on being down again!! You're so close to 225!! Keep going! (I know you are *lol* )

I have been having lots of thoughts about my aunt and sis. I wrote all about it. I keep thinking about the holidays coming up. We made plans with DH’s family last weekend so it’s been on my mind.
The bottom line is that my aunt thinks I hate her and I dont. There is really no point in trying to talk to her because she is monumentally stubborn and set in her ways. It just bugs me.

I accomplished LOTS yesteday. Feeling good about it.

I transplanted a bleeding heart, moved the house centre from the toyroom to the basement, patched 3 pairs of jeans for DS and made a bunch of church calls. I fed the troops, went for groceries, went to tops, had a meeting with the grocery guy.
We do an annual freezer and grocery order and pay a monthly payment. This is our 5th year. It certainly saves on gas and time.It is even as far as the $$ goes.I still buy produce, bread, milk, dairy...the expensive stuff.

I need to make about 30 Avon follow up calls by Monday. I will do about 6 a day.

8 kids today. Beautiful weather again. 12c(54F) right now going up to 26c(82 F) wooohoooo!!!

    HUGS!!
