Hello and Happy Valentines Day (early)!! :) :) :)
Gary~ya, for supposedly being a player.........my Valentine's looks bleak! I saw Charlie on Wednesday night, he took me to dinner, we went to Applebee's and had a nice time. I gave him a Valentine package with a card, the Hallmark kissing bears and some candy. Just enough to embarrass him. :) He really liked it though I think. He kept saying that he wasn't ready, he wanted to celebrate next weekend cuz he didn't get me anything yet and went to TX yesterday thru Sunday. I told him not to worry about it. Celebrating next week would be fine. He is very sweet and nice to me. I'm not sure what to think of him yet though. There are not huge sparks but I do find him attractive and want to know more about him. Les tried to chat with me on the computer the next day after our argument, actually he was being sarcastic and mean although he tried to apologize for his behavior too. I didn't respond. It's best to just leave it alone. It hurt my heart to end it like that, but it is for the best. :( Sami~Glad you were able to get some sleep. You are right, it's very important when you are trying to feel better. I hope you have some better days. Garnet~sorry you were sick, hope you are better now. Sunny~where are you sweets? You off with your Valentine again? Did he take time off to celebrate the love holiday? Has he whisked you off to somewhere tropical and warm? Has he made you his love slave and you can't even come visit your friends......ok, i'll stop! ;) Oh, i had to mention, what a CUTE cake! You have some people who love you, don't you!.... Sue~glad you have some time off. Enjoy it. Wilma~You've been doing so well, getting to Curves! Good for you! My mother is my true Valentine this year! She sent me a package with an awesome red leather purse!, a red heart picture frame, some soap, a cooking book, some ornaments, etc. Am i spoiled or what!? |
I just want to say HAPPY VALENTINES! I am having a pretty good day so far I am going to some cleaning that I have let go while I felt bad. My DH is going to to DD to fix her computer so. So I better go while I am feeling well. I think we are going out with DD and Her DH and MIL for dinner they are going to my favorite Mexican place and it would do me some good to get out.

I just got home from work. Angie isn't home but my daughter's car is here and she isn't here either... don't know where they could be... wasn't expecting my daughter home this week-end-- she has a big date tonight with THAT BOYFRIEND and tomorrow they are going sailing-- taking sailing lessons to boot. Gave Angie her Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry met Sally. Bruce Springsteen CD and some truffles this am. I put them on the bed on my way to work while she was out running... she gave me a giant card with 2 wishes... the best part..I FILL IN THE BLANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is sooooo smart!! Just touching base quickly before I watch the Primetime show on ABC tonight @ 10:00 with Diane Sawyer and Mel Gibson... about his movie "The Passion". Looks like it's going to be a good interview. Hope this finds everyone doing well and that you all had a good Valentine's Day with your Valentine... Joe & I went out with our friends to dinner on Valentine's Day and had a wonderful evening. Joe gave me a sweet card and a funny one and a gift from Bath & Body Works. He's precious. MICHELE, You are too funny! :lol: Tomorrow Joe is off again, but it's to sing for another funeral. A friend of ours lost his grandmother and he asked if Joe, Anne (Joe's sister) and myself would sing for the funeral. So we'll be doing that tomorrow morning and then we have a big practice at our church tomorrow night. There may be about 20 or so there. We are doing the music for the mini-mission we have for Lent. Wow- we can't even stay on page one anymore with all of you out there so busy exercising ;) ;) :yes: ;) ;) Well Angie went and did it ( I think!) she found a dog at the pound she wants- it is a big one- a year old male white great pyrenees/mix... I don't have anything against dogs but I don't feel we have time to take care of one without a big pain in the butt!! I can't tell her NO-- well I can but she doesn't listen to me :lol: I will let you know tomorrow if she got it. I hope you all had a great Valentines Day, we went for Italian and had a very nice evening. I spent most of the day, after church, watching the Daytona 500-- my guy Mark Martin.. the Viagra ;) car went out first.. only 17 miles.. just couldn't keep it up.... ;) :o :o I did do some yard work though to burn off a few calories... NO Sunny!! I haven't found my elliptical yet... didn't I tell you? I think I lost it.. it might be behind the gym door.. haven't looked for a few weeks.. LOOSER!! ME!! Well gotta run, Ron has a book report to finish for school tomorrow-- had 4 days to get it done, oh well, at least he is doing it!!! PEACE for all-- Gary |

Hi GARY, WoW, is it ever quiet here these days? What's up with that? Glad to hear that you and Angie had such a nce Valentine's Day... us too. It must be so nice to be working in the gardens... we can't wait till Spring breaks so we can get our hands dirty. Catching up...
I do a lot of catching up. Sounds like everyone had a nice Valentine's. I watched my grand kids so Seth and Tina could get out a bit. They had a good time and so did I LOL.
I am still battling with my asthma. The meds make me fuzzy headed but I can breathe better. I have learned that I have to be patient when it strikes. I worked in Nursery on Sunday or probably wouldn't have gone to church at all I felt that wiped out. I just got done with my part time job a bit ago and decided I should at least post. I enjoy coming here. Trying to eat right , I did get a roast in slow cooker and it was yummy No loss this week. His Love to all, Nasha |
Gotta be quick here.. Went to daughter's tennis match after work, an 8-1 win in doubles, picked up Ron at day care after his softball game-- he got a hit but they didn't keep score.. Angie DID not get to the pound in time.. whew!! There was a family there picking up the dog she wanted, she called me from there on her way to my step-d's soccer game.. where my son was already at.. warming up the beef stew I made Sunday for tonight and then off to the school for an up-date meeting on my nephew's Washington D.C. trip... bye, Gary

Hello everyone. I posted two long posts the other night, & lost both of them when I clicked "submit". I got really frustrated & finally just put in the link of a thread I had posted a few minutes earlier. Was going to say the same thing, basically. Only had sent a little message to individuals, since I hadn't in awhile. Sorry I had to give up.
My message was that My SIL made it home from Iraq Saturday evening (Valentine's Day) around 7:30pm! I want to thank all of you for your prayers. His dad left this week going to Iraq. They never did get to see each other. Keep praying for him & all military. The other thing over there was just a few pics. Thanks SunnyD....DH did treat me very well! Good Morning!
It seems like it's been a little while since I've been here. I've been struggling with my WOE and then guilt sets in. I start out each morning thinking today is the day and then I eat something I shouldn't. I even plan ahead but I just want junk. I think it's because of TOM but who knows? At least my lunches are still great and I'm back to going to Curves regularly again. I just need to get my groove back and would appreciate prayers. Thanks!

Wilma~You are not alone. I struggle too. Am struggling now. I'm not gaining but I'm not losing. I know i need to exercise, i want to exercise, but i don't. I've had really bad back pain the last 4-5 days and have gone to the chiro and the massage therapist. They have helped, but they tell me i need to move. The chiro suggested I put on some music and just dance... what a sight that'll be. But i'm going to do it. I know it'll get me motivated and get me in a better frame of mind.
Charlie has been calling. I saw him before he left for TX last Wednesday, for dinner. He was in TX through Sunday. He's celebrating Valentine's for me this Saturday. We're going to a fancy restaurant, that's all i know. He didn't call me V-Day, i was a tad disapointed. It was mentioned and he started making excuses and then stopped and apologized and said that i was right. But in his defense he hasn't dated in a long time and just wasn't thinking. So the next day he calls me at work, just to say hi, and let me know he was thinking of me and tells me, "See, i'm trying." Very sweet... There's a guy who's interesting in my new Alpha group, we talked a little after Alpha on Monday.... and the shy guy (Tom) is at Alpha too, we talk, but i'm fairly sure he's not interested. |
Well it never ends here! Monday the school called and said Molli was complaining of a headache and My son went and picked her up. She has chicken Pox! My son's car blew an engine a hour after he dropped off the kids off from school. So he is trying to get a new one. Then my Married DD's car the passanger side window fell down so she has to get it fixed. And to top it off my 16 yr olds friend who takes my DD to school called this morning from a block away she had just been t-boned! So my DH went to stay with her and make sure all the kids were ok. Then he took them to school. And talked to her dad. It looks like the other person blew a red light and hit her as she turned and hit the front passenger wheel and totaled the car. But Thank you Lord that everyone is fine. And of course this is the worst week for me to need to be off work because my boss is out of town for a meeting. So I have really no one to cover for me. The girl who was willing to work for me today let it slip she worked overnight and she doesn't have 8 hrs between shifts so now that will be overtime and I know things will get hot when the big boss finds out. This is so hard what to do when your kids need you. STRESS!!!!!! Well now that I vented I can't be on here long because Molli wants me to lay with her.
AngelLover-Thanks for the bright news about your SIL. I have to wonder just what is going on when they call retired people back. I am worried. Mitchypoo-Men can't live with them or without them!!!! (except for you ez and some of the other men we have trained I MEAN thoughtful men around) Wilma-Don't feel bad most of us are in your shoes. But I feel even if I am not losing I am not gaining! I see people who have kept gaining and I think that would be me if I didn't at least keep from gaining. Garnet-I hope your asthma is better. My one friend is really struggling with hers. Sprout-How are you doing? Missing your great tips! How is your son doing? He has been on my mind. EZ-Your right a dog is a pain in the butt! My tiny little one wanted to ride with me this morning to take the kids and then barks at the cars and stays on my lap shaking all the way! Then when we got home she ran off into the neightbors back yard who has a huge dog chained up and barks at the dog right at the edge of the chain line. I was scared to go in the back yard to get my dog and the dumb thing wouldn't come to me. finally the dog untangled his chain enough to scare pepper (my dog) close enough for me to grab her. She got a spanking! Sunny-I must be feeling better because when you were posting about getting hands dirty I feel the same way! (last summer I just couldn't do it) I want to make a fire pit and use it this summer! And I want to have get togethers this summer. Well the sick one is calling. Poor thing! |
