 I got my workouts in all five days this week! 3x this week I went to Curves & 2x this week I worked on my Elliptical doing 30 minutes - 4.5 miles each time.

:dizzy: I am feeling it too --- very, very tired tonight!

Ta!

Mitchypoo 02-07-2004 10:31 AM

What an inspiration!

Marilyn~WOW!!! :cheer: What an inspiration you are. You are doing so well and you have such a great attitude. I think i'll print that out and read it over and over. You know, i needed to read that today, so I thank you! :grouphug:

Sunny~I'm glad you liked the prayer but I think i was misinformed. It wasn't the National Day of Prayer i guess after all. But the President was doing some Prayer Breakfast thing. But prayer is good anytime, right?!

I'm feeling off track and discouraged and full of anxiety this a.m. I can't seem to catch up on things in my life. I feel so behind. So disorganized. I'm tired of how i'm living. I think i need to make some goals and work on them. The only thing i'm excited about is going to school in March for my Insurance Agent license. I'll take 8 days of class, have 3 tests to pass and a state test after that. But I'm so fortunate because my employer is paying for it and it's really a wonderful opportunity for me. And I love this job and it is going well. I'm happy about that too.

My dad was in a car accident day before yesterday. No one was hurt, but he rear-ended a lady. Both cars were towed. He was in the van equipped with a wheelchair lift they use to bring my brother home, so now he has to find another way. I worry that he shouldn't be driving at all. He's starting to really act old, not his age, but his health is deteriorating and i worry about it all the time. Also, i worry about my poor mom, who worries about him. The good news is he wasn't hurt and didn't hurt his surgery scar on his navel. It was the first day he could drive, and he wasn't on medication (they had given him vicodin). My mom sometimes tells me about stuff going on at home and makes small comments about she wishes i was home. I sometimes feel so guilty for wanting my own life. But i've been home too and know that i can't "fix it" either. :dunno: Sorry to vent. :blah: :halfempty

I'm getting my hair done after work, maybe that'll make me happier.

Saturday

HI GALS

Had to work today-- it is sooooooooooo nice  :sunny:  here today, it sure was hard to work inside. It is in the low 70's here-- plenty of sun so I am sending it to those in need :spin: :flow1:

My daughter and her friends all made it to the wedding safely-- actually they should be in the reception as I write this. Praying that they all make it home safely-- I worry too much but it is 400+ miles from here-- do ya ever stop worrying about your kids? I don't think I ever will :nono: Son had the day off so he spent it at the gym as usual, nephew with his mom today and step-d at her dad's. Angie off at Staples my son said-- not sure what she did today... must have been outside 'cause nothing done in the house :D

Nephew got his report card yesterday for the semester, he stayed the same or went up in all things so that was good. He had 3 A's, 6 B or B+, 1 C+ and 1 C. This is good for him. He is really trying! I forgot to mention that this week I offically became his legal guardian. The case worker told us that she saw him at school last week and when she asked him if he wanted to stay here with us he said YES-- she told him that was good because it was going to happen anyway. He was going to get a TV that got all the channels (he has one in his room but it is old and doesn't get all 1 million channels they have now on cable) if he made the A-B honor roll-- welll since he still has a couple of C's I can't get it for him--BUT-- since he went up in a lot of places (citizenship, etc) I am going to let him buy a movie or so for his VHS. I am proud of him and have told him so.

MICHELE- Not sure what you mean by coming home- can you live here away from your folks house AND help them out in their declining years? I certainly could understand not wanting to live in their house. It must be hard to see them getting older-- my mom is 67 and not in good health at all, she went back to Illinois about 6 months ago to take care of her mom who is 88 (?) My mom needs taken care of!! Are you still Charlie's Angel? As far as organizing-- it really is simple-- you just START with 1 thing, acomplish that and go from there... Do the things you can do while watching TV such as sorting paper work, take a half hour after or before dinner to do STUFF, and do it every day... SMALL steps... but steady STEPS>>> KEEP MOVING FORWARD-- NO MATTER HOW SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANGEL PRAYERS for SIL and family!!!

SUNNYD :cp: :cb: :cp:  :twirly:  :balloons: :cheer:
For your great week on exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How is that TV working out? You and Joe doing the movies at home this week-end?

SPROUT Way to keep going forward!!

SAMI, SUE, WILMA and GARNET.... HELLO and hope you are all having a great week-end!!

Gotta go the boss is back......................

WORSHIP this week-end!! Gary

sami 02-08-2004 11:11 AM

Ok they say 3 times a charm right! I have lost two long posts because I bumped the mouse and it went away! I am home with a sick child. She went to a party sat and I know of one other child who was there that was up all night sick also.
Mitchy-Praying for your dad. I know what you mean about guilt My Mom lives across town and I have to make sure I call often and go over there. Yesterday I called and the first words out of her mouth is I wondered why I had not heard from you. Now she is in better health than I am and I went 5 days without calling Why didn't she call me (It doesn't cost anything)
SunnyD-I am learning more about my camera!!!!! I carry it everywhere. Soon I will learn all about how to send pictures on line. I have been busy working on my SIL's Grandparents and Mother a scrapbook of the wedding as a thank you for being so good to my DD.
Angellover-I pray you are feeling better. Have you found a new Atty? It is so sad that you hear about all these big cases for stuiped things and you have lost a lot it just doesn't seem fair.
Garnet-Praise the Lord that your DD found a new job!!!! The Lord was watching over her!
Sprout-I know you are going to meet your goal. You are the hero! I pray that things get better with you son. I have a daughter who would do the samething if given a choice so of course there is no choice! I don't think she means to be that way but homework is overwhelming to her and she sees it as something that keeps her from doing what she wants to do which is watch TV. So we are working on showing her when her homework is done it gives her the freedom to watch TV!
Wilma-Did you rejoin curves? I know you seem to enjoy it. Are your boys in school or are they working? (or both) My 16 Yr old just got her first job! She had to take a CPR class (which cost me 116.00) and now she need a Red bathing suit! I told her this job was costing me a lot! LOL
EZ-I will pray that DD and friends make it safe and sound! It sounds like your nephew is doing very well. If his christian school is like ours you have to work to get the good grades they are not freely given! My DD did very well this year but she is starting to back slide since christmas. She really enjoyed doing nothing over Christmas break and is finding it hard to get back in the swing! The thing I am having the hardest time with is Writing. She has perfect handwriting but hates to do the handwrithing sheets.
Sue-I am packing my pillow! I can't wait!

My Prayer is for Angel Lovers Son in Law to make it home safe and sound to his family! And to all the other Men and Women who are serving our Country that they make it back to thier familys safe and sound!

I better send this before I do something stupid again and lose it!

wilma12 02-08-2004 04:25 PM

Hello! I just woke up from a little nap and thought it was about time I touched base with all of you. Later, we're going to take a birthday cake over to a special aunts place. The weather is absolutely gorgeous here today. It's just below melting point here. Feels like spring! We know it won't last long but we'll enjoy it while we can. Spring doesn't come here until at least April.

Sami: Glad your post finally worked. Frustrating isn't it? I'm still going to Curves. My membership will need to be renewed in June so I still have time to think about what I'll do. I'm pretty sure I'll renew because I love it and there never seems to be a good time to work out at home. I'll either wake someone up or be in their way. Both my sons are in school. One is working part time too. They both have such different schedules - one with early morning classes one with some evening classes.

Gary: I'm so glad to hear about your nephew's good report card. Tell him WAY TO GO!!

Michele: I understand what you're going through with your dad. It's so hard not to feel the guilt but you do have to live your life too. Is there some sort of balance? Praying for you.

Sunny: YOu must be really getting into great shape with all the exercise you're getting. We're supposed to be getting a new machine at Curves this spring. Looking forward to it. Keep up the great work.

Sprout: It sounds like you're really getting your life under control. I'm really proud of you. I hope Curves works as well for you as it has for me. The other day a co-worker said she hoped she wasn't being out of line but she thought my butt was looking smaller. I told her she could say things like that as much as she wants. Keeping your health and your son in my prayers.

Garnet: I've also been reading up more on SBD and think it's fairly healthy. Let me know how and what you're doing.

Well, better go. I can sure smell that cake and need to make the glaze for it.Have a wonderful week.

Sunday

HI LADIES-

Just got back from the grocery store-- sooo mad!! I lost a pair of my Oakley sunglasses there ($100.00) OUCH!! Oh well, Angie, Ron and I also went to the nursery after church to get some more african daiseys for the bank and Ron wanted a new plant. I gave him the choice of movies or a new plant (he loves to gaden!!) for a reward for his report card-- he picked out a dwarf orange tree for his flower/vegetable bed.

Daughter just called from a couple of hours away-- so far they have had a safe trip and fun at the wedding-- she called this morning at 7 and said she had been driving infog for 2 hours, pretty bad at times-- I'M LIKE--WHY!!! pull over you knucklehead where it is safe and wait for it to lift-- she is "but dad YOU drive in it!" OH.

Wilma another pie Martha? HA! have fun- glad to hear you are going to re-new Curves-- helps to keep you moving.

Sami- Sorry to hear your dd is sick. Glad to hear you are getting ready to expand with your camera-- Angie just loves ours too now that she has it back. Sorry you keep losing posts.

Well Angie needs me to help her with something outside-- gotta go.

Take care, Gary

Morning CER's

Thank~you so much for the birthday wishes!!!!!!!!!

I had a great Birthday yesterday. The sun :sunny: shone all day --- a gift to me from God without a doubt... just made my day! We went to this place called Bennegan's. It's a great restaurant and I got a free dessert there that Joe & I shared... and boy am feeling it today (a little tired). I haven't had sweets like that in a long time, but it was mighty tasty! I'll workout this morning on the elliptical and feel better... The whole Peters family came with Joe & I : Mike (48), Peggy (46 - turns 47 in April) she always teases me about being the oldest -, Sandy (23 - turns 24 in April) and Lisa (19 - turns 20 in Nov - our Goddaughter)... we all had a really good time. Peggy got me a stain glass cross (picture below) and the family got me a cute book full of quotes from Christian Women. This Wednesday (2/11) I am going to a Tea for lunch that Annie (Joe's sister) is giving me for my birthday... there will be about 8 ladies there from the family. And Thrusday (2/12) Joe is taking off the day to take me to the "Home & Garden Show" in Cleveland for my birthday. Friday (2/13) I am meeting a friend, Arlene, for lunch --- It'll be fun this week that's for sure.

*******

MICHELE, Thank-you so much for the Birthday E-Card! You are special! I do hope you are feeling much better today!!
