Hello It is in the middle of the night and my DH woke me up (he didn't mean to) so it is 3am thought I would stop in and ask for some prayers. I am not doing well. I am in sooooooooooooo much pain it is out of control. I struggle to make it through the day. And as soon as I get home I am in bed then I wake in pain because I have layed to long. I am sorry to be a bummer I must look really bad because one of the toughtest bosses made a comment that he could tell I feel really bad by my eyes. Even to type is a struggle because my hands and arms feel so heavy.
I am keeping all of you in my prayers. I am going to try to lay back down.

Mitchypoo 02-11-2004 01:19 PM

Holy Father, I lift up Sami to you today and ask that you take away her pain Lord. Help her in this health struggle and comfort her when she hurts and doesn't feel good. I pray your loving kindness wraps her up in a cocoon of comfort and love. In your name, Amen.

Prayers

Sami- so sorry to hear your not feeling well! I pray the same as mitchy that the Lord will ease the pain, and will heal the problem and give you peace from it. It is awfull to be in such agony. You are in my prayers Hi to everyone else- prayer meeting tonight. God Bless!

EZMONEY 02-11-2004 10:30 PM

Again tonight not much time as Ron needs the computer for homework. Went to the surgeon today to consult on my hernia-- he said Yep I got one! Told me it was my decision to have it fixed now or wait-- didn't matter, if it got worse the surgery wouldn't be any harder-- oh, decisions.
Made a chicken, peppers and rice dish tonight and have flank steak with peppers, chili powder, cumin, salt and tomatoes in the crock-pot for fajitas tomorrow night.

Gotta go- Prayers for Sami and Angel's sil-- and all the rest that need it. Gone....

Thought for today February 11, 2004

Today's Diet Tip: Avoid greasy foods. Instead enjoy crisp vegetable salads

Today's Positive Thought: A positive attitude is like a fire - Unless you continue to add fuel, it goes out.

SAMI,
I am so very sorry to hear of all that you are going through with illness... I had really hoped you had found an answer with your diet - you were doing so well. I sure do hope that the Dr's will be able to help you... you are going to one :?: I hope! You have my prayers... MICHELE, prayed a Beautiful Prayer and spoke for us all! (((Hugs))) & God's Blessings!

WILMA,
Thank-you so much for the encouragement!!!!! I really do need that right now. I am continuing to get in my exercise, but it has been one very busy week of parties for me this week & I am feeling the sugar! I had been off of it for so long... but working out has helped. Svelte --- boy, doesn't that sound nice ;) Thanks again. How's the quilt coming along?

SUE,
Always good to see you :) Thank you so much for the wonderful Birthday Blessings... I truely have been Blessed! Yesterday I went to a Birthday Tea Luncheon and what a wonderful afternoon! There were 7 of us ladies and the two babies and 3 Birthday celebrations. Mine on the 8th, & two SIL's - one on the 14th & one on the 21st. Fun afternoon! Today, Joe is taking off and we are going to a "Home & Garden Show" in Cleveland. It will be great to see some beauty in gardens with all this snow surrounding us.

Hi GARY,
So glad to hear that you did go to the DR's... I really do miss you coming in and chatting more :( But understand that you are busy.

MICHELE,
With all the birthday celebrations this week (and all the sweets :o ) I opted not to do my weigh-in this past Monday. That's why the ? is there :)

 Morning ANGEL,
Hope that you are beginning to feel better!

Well, the boss is up - time to make breakfast.
Hope you all have a great OP day!
Love you guys! :sunny:

Thanks everyone!

For all the birthday wishes.

We had previous commitments for last night so rather than 'celebrate' my birthday last night, hubby is taking me out to supper and then a show tonight. We are going to go and see the movie 'Miracle' which we have been told is excellent.

Thought I would send the bit of information below which is from the Curves member guide - 6 week challenge -

Change is difficult, even change that will have a positive impact on our lives. For any change of habits to have a chance to take root, we must have a plan of action. Jumping into change for emotional reasons isn ot likely to produce a lasting effect.

In order to get through the pain of dealing with change, you must ecome comfortable with being uncomfortable. You must believe that the change is for the better, and that it will not always involve the difficulty that it now does. You must be willing to look for bright spots in themidst of what seems like misery.

You can succeed. You have done more difficult things than this, and you have what it takes to follow a plan for 6 weeks.

Hello I am still hanging in here. I am still in a lot of pain and the pain meds are causing rebound headaches. Thank you for all of your prayers.

Well I wish I could stay and chat for awhile but I have to help the kids with the Valentines!

Happy Birthday Sprout!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Mitchypoo-Your prayer really touched me thanks.

My Prayers are with you all.

Hi everyone,

My asthma hit me this week. I was so sick when I got up Sunday, I slept most of the day, went to the dr on Mon. and had to on the Prednisone. I am still wheezing a lot and taking it easy. Thank the Lord for part time jobs. I worked a couple hours drove up valley to visit a lady at her home. Set up her meds, and just visited her for a while. Then ;home to rest.

My WOE has been off this week. No motivation to get cooking. I need to decide what I am gonna do and just do it. Will be easier when I feel like shopping. DD bought balogna and I have 3 or 4 sandwiches with it! No wonder my bp was up when I went to the dr!

Prayers going up for all who requested.

Have a Wonderful Valentine's Day weekend!

Nasha

Thursday Night

HI LADIES

I have a few minutes to chat tonight so I will try and catch up. Angie is at church practicing handbells, the handbell group (The Ding-A-LINGS) is teaming up with our choir and another choir in another close city- they will play together at our church this week and their church next week. Ron has tomorrow and Monday off of school so I let him go to his mom's tonight until Saturday night, my son at work, daughter at school and step-d is at an away soccer match. Just me here now FULL of fajitas!!

SUNNYD CUTE!! cake and pictures! I am so glad you are kicking my butt on the elliptical!! I haven't been on mine for over a week- :sssh: I have been working Saturdays and going to see daughter and step-d tennis and soccer in the afternoons-- I will try to get back in the swing of it again soon!! How is that TV working out for you guys? Hope it isn't taking away from exercise time :nono: ;) I know mine does  And heck I EVEN have a TV in my gym. LOOOOOOOSER ME!!

SPROUT Thanks for the continued updates on Dr. Phil, very good advice. Happy birthday to you too! Did you and DH enjoy the movie? I sure do remember when it happened-- so exciting for us here in the states against Russia- things have changed in the Olympics though, heck the U.S. team is going in baseball or mens soccer this year- losses to Mexico. Enjoy your birthday week- prayers for the boy.

SAMI I am saying alot of prayers for your pain! I am so sorry. I hope you had an enjoyable time doing Valentines. Don't tell your daughter but my nephew's teacher told his class that since Ron and a couple of others were the only ones doing their homework she wasn't going to give anymore- all work is done in class-- not sure I agree with this but I bet the kids do!!

MICHELE Hey girl where you hiding? Are you still charlie's Angel or are you breaking another guys heart? tonight. It is Valentines dear so be easy on them ;) Angie and I will probably go to our little Italian place Saturday night. I got her Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry Met Sally DVD's and a Bruce Springsteen CD-- she likes to watch those 2 movies- be quiet-light candles OR ROCK and ROLL with her housework or exercises-- I can always tell what she is doing in the gym--YOGA=quiet music such as Enja and candles-- EXERCISE=LOUD rockin music. How is the job?

SUE 14 hours of overtime in 2 days? You better be careful or we will be bringing you pictures of your trip (that you didn't make 'cause you were too wore out!) How is your job going? Pastor and family? I saved some fajitas for you!

WILMA Are you helping the boys pick out Valentines gifts for those girls? Silly question but do they have Valentines Day in Canada? I see you are losing inches but not too many pounds- you just keep on trying dear- IT WILL HAPPEN for you soon! You have been working too hard to not see success! As you know the better you plan the better YOU eat! You can do this. Love to see your quilt. I saved a ton of T-shirts from my son's high school sports and my ex made a great big quilt for him out of them, if I ever remember I will take a picture of it and send it out. Take care.

ANGEL I hope your son in law is home safe by now! Great pictures! It sure sounds like you enjoy your job! How is the house coming along? Did you stay warm for the winter?

GARNET Sorry about the asthma problem. You will get back on track soon with the diet! How is the family doing?

Well Angie just got back so gonna go watch some tv with her while all the kids are gone

PRAYERS--Gary

wilma12 02-13-2004 08:54 AM

Good Morning!!

Just came back from Curves and am ready to start my day. It'll be busy at work but that'll make the day go by faster.

Sami: I'm glad you had a good night's sleep. Still keeping you in my prayers that you will find some relief in all this pain.

Gary: My guys are on their own for Valentine's Day. Oldest DS hasn't told me what he's doing but youngest DS is going to cook dinner with his at our place. He's also buying her flowers. Of course, he's asking me if I have all the ingredients and being the wonderful mom I am I said I'd help out this starving student and his girl. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

Garnet: Hope you're feeling back to normal now. Now you can get back on track!!

Sprout: I don't remember wishing you a happy birthday so I'm sending them your way now. Hope you had fun celebrating.

doitoforme:How are you doing?

Hello to Sunny, Michele, Angel and everyone I missed. have a great day.

doitforme 02-13-2004 12:07 PM

Hi there!

I have three days off starting today, so I can get caught up maybe going home to see mom and dad, which is always nice.
Wilma- great thanks for asking I weighed in yesterday and have lost for 1st week a total of 6 lbs, this was an initial loss so, we'll see the glucerna shakes that I have been drinking at breakfast and sometimes for lunch does seem to keep me full- they are made for diabetics which I am not one. But they stabalize bloodsugar, and I am chronically hypoglycemis so we'll see. The low calorie diet, seems to give variety without to much difficulty.
Sprout- Thanks for all the tips, love them, movie sounded like a good one, I remember that hockey game as well, gee stating my age.
Sami- so glad your starting to feel better, take care of yourself.
Garnet- pray your asthma and bp are better, that is a tough combo- I did really enjoy the book safely home, and the picture on the cover was awesome.
E.Z. - Thanks for the fahitas they hit the spot. My pastor is doing awesome no sign of melanoma anywhere, he is off all treatment for 3 month period then they rescan to see if any has developed off treatment. Praise the Lord, that is a miracle. 2 years ago he was given longest period of 6 months and basically no chance at survival. I again thank all my prayer warriors. God is good. Work is awesome, the overtime will dry up soon, i have had staff out injured but they will be back soon then life returns to normal. Whatever that is.
Hi to all others! Going home, and no puter there. Love ya's
