Happy Belated Birthday to Shad. I hope you are feeling better. It seems when I dont feel good that is when my mind makes all sort of lists of things I want to organize, declutter, etc. It can be frustrating. I hope you can get to your "to do" list soon.

Since you havent seen me here, I am sure you know I have been buried in work. I can see the finsih line though(at least for this round). Our big review is next Friday. Tomorrow and Monday is getting all the product and paper work together and shipped down town. Thursday will be set up, Friday is the meeting and we have to tear it all down and pack it back up to be shipped back to our site. Friday will be a very tiring long day.

Of course all my other work, calendar scheduling, leading the site monthly Admin meeting, getting two reports done for Monday, May 7 still continue.

My workout have not been happening this week but yesterday I did get up from my desk and took two walks through the buildings, that gave me 30 mim of exercise.

I am working from home today so I got up and am on the recumbent bike this morning for 45 min.

I am so trying to look at life today not as what I cant do but what I can and then do that and let it be enough.

Morning all.

Happy – Hope the cortisone has kicked in and is working for dh.

Annie – Yeh, we’re forecast for warmer temps next week too. Looking forward to it. Maybe a day off is in order. == Re mom and the shopping…gave this some thought (albeit, not serious thought). I do, however, know things will be different for me. First off, no human kids to burden with shopping trips. Second, I have enough computer skills to shop online! Third, who knows if there will still be bricks & mortar stores anyway by the time I’m elderly and unable to venture out into the world on my own. Fourth, driverless cars.

Susie – I’m exhausted just hearing about your work week this week and next. Hang in there! Good you got some walking in yesterday, and will get your exercise time today. Right attitude – focus on what you can do today!

Hellos to Shad, Ceejay & Dee.
==

Nothing much to report. I’m in a rut. Did tackle one longstanding (ancient) item at work, so yay for that. And double yay that it was in better shape than I’d thought and not a huge deal.

Okay, meeting in about ten, enough time to post this, gather my stuff, and hit the bathroom before it begins. I’m off!

Good Morning!

Must say Jacob's team lost last night. Terribly. His level of league is 6 and 7 year olds. Not that I am making excuses for losing however the other team was mostly 7s and way bigger. Our team is newbies that are 6s, plus some no experience at all and didn't get in on the rookie league like Jacob did the past couple of years. Of course our bleacher side discussed wanting to view the other team's birth certificates. Way taller than our team. Better hitters and fielders. Not really an even match up at all. Maybe a stacked team. Don't do my g-babes wrong....lol... end of rant.

We all went to Denny's for dinner. My bro & SIL came to the game also. Plus Chris (Sam's x) joined us. It was pleasant enough. I was way tired and moody. I can go without food and be fine but without sleep I get whiny and a bit snappy... I had grilled chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was rubbery. Not sure what that was about however I was too tired to do anything about it. Didn't get in bed til after 10 pm. WAAAAYYYY past my bedtime of 8 to 8:30. Today my eyes are a bit dry and burny.

Yep folks, it is all about me and I am being b*tchy too. Gripe gripe gripe.

LAURA...Isn't it nice to get that one naggy project out of the way? I sit on some things I just don't want to do a LOT. Once it is done, it is like no big deal. Just took a minute or two to complete. Oh well. Maybe your mom can order her groceries on line or with your help then just go pick them up for her. Clik list? My momma, toward the last few years used to make a list, I would pick up the list from her then go get things for her. Made it easier for everyone and no EXTRA junk from the afterthought while she cruised the stores. Plus your situation later WILL be different. Living in the commune, we will just have Sven go get stuff. Of course once he is finished with my massage and sorts. bahahahahhahahah

SUSIE...Good grief girl. You are a better person than I with that job. I couldn't do it. Too hectic for me. Hugs and may the force be with you. Floor walks are great. I do them (SOMETIMES), as it is kind of exercise so there is that. lol.

Hello to all.

Hugs.

Good Morning/Evening Lovely Ladies!

Quiet evening at home. Both the boys had baseball practice then it was dad's night. Very quiet. Almost spooky. Dinner for C was whatever he could find. He did well with that. lol.

SHADDIE...you are welcome for your BD card, my pleasure to send you a wonderful wish for a wonderful person.

That is all for me today, very busy work schedule today.

Make it a great weekend all. 4:00pm cannot come soon enough. Hugs.

Morning all. TGIF.

I tried to install the new windshield wiper blades yesterday when I got home from work. The paper instructions were useless. I found a u tube video that was a bit better, but then I got distracted when a neighbor came by with her dog...anyway, bf replaced the blades this morning. But I did fill the windshield wiper fluid myself. Big whoop.

I think we have a birthday party this weekend for one of our friends who's turning 60, but that's about it. Plenty to do around the house, as usual.

Okay, off to post. Have a good day and a good weekend everyone.

Hi ladies,

Thank you for the birthday wishes. My sister called me first thing in the morning and then it was off and running for the day. DH wanted to get to the senior center to see his buddies the painting ladies and then we had a lasagna lunch upstairs (his favorite). I got there and remembered I had forgotten to bring some raffle tickets back I offered to sell at bingo so we had to make the round trip home and back again. Stopped off at the thrift shop to see my friend Grete and show her that indeed, we had plenty of extra rolls of paper for the credit card machine. I also dropped off menus for lunch at the senior center for May and June. We headed back home, took a nap (pasta coma) and then got up and ready to head out to the casino. Had a nice dinner at the buffet of prime rib, shrimp and vegetables (for me). We stayed for 3 hours and I got a birthday cup and $3 off a drink (which I didn't use). I was not lucky enough to win any of the $1,000 cash prizes on the hourly drawings. We came home, I could not fall asleep tossing and turning - at one point I dozed off but woke up from a stupid nightmare that had me almost having an anxiety attack from an extremely vivid claustrophobic dream. Had to get up early this morning at 6:30 because we are going out to a farm for a cooking class - thai crispy fried pork chop and pork noodle soup. The lady sponsoring it raises a special kind of pig - the "kobe beef" of pork she says. I just don't want to be eating that kind of stuff at 10am - not sure why she scheduled it so early. We will go back to the casino tonight for the remaining cash drawings and at 10 they are drawing for a new camper trailer. Tomorrow I have to work a Humane Society fundraiser in the afternoon. Monday I have to go to Duluth for the ultrasound on my foot and Tuesday they asked if I could come to the senior center for a while. Thursday I get my hair done. And then I have to get ready for my trip to Chicago. It's going to be a fast in and out kind of thing so I won't get to really see anyone this time around - a few friends were asking about getting together but I won't have a weekend open as we are buzzing in and out. So it's going to be hectic to say the least. DH just came down for a second cup of coffee and announced he thinks the steroid shot from the other day is not working as well as the prior one. That's bad because he was in a whole lot of pain.

Laura - you're a better person than me for trying to install the wiper blades. Don't think I can reach far enough over the car to get them on right! That's nice that BF finished them for you. Re: your Mom and shopping - we are having the same issue with my Mom. My sister offered to have Target deliver groceries only to hear "I'm NOT paying those prices" even though she SHOPS at Target My sister also offered if given a list to pick up what she needs only to hear "I LIKE TO LOOK AT THINGS MYSELF". She is being very obstinate. Frustrating. Good luck with yours. Hope you can schedule a day off soon for yourself.

Annie - with so much going on at your house if S ever moves out you won't know what to do with the quiet I hope Jacob can have a good experience with ball playing. Hate that there are professional amatuer mini athletes out there that make it tough for those just starting out. Hopefully they have a good, encouraging coach. Losing is part of the game of life. I do hope that retirement will not be bleak for you although I don't know what it will mean for people of Sam's age. A whole new thing I think.

Susie - I agree with Annie - you are SOOOOO busy at your job. I could not keep up. And everyone wants things last minute. You are Wonder-Susie for sure!!! Strength to get through this presentation lalapalooza thing.

Shad - are you recuperating and ready to go and enjoy a delayed birthday celebration? Or at least dinner???

Ceejay - are you home for a little while? How is the kitten doing?

Time for me to jump in the shower and get ready. Have a good weekend everyone.

I got to come home yesterday around noon, just in time to get the garbage bend out to the curb. A bit later I did mow the lawn with the push mower. I will use the riding mower when it gets to hot to walk behind the mower. Nephew just doesn't have the time this year.
The dentist office called me Friday morning to see if I could come in at noon. Luckily the niece had to be at work by 11.45 so that worked out perfectly. Still have some gingivitis, but the plaque and build up was near to nothing. I've been brushing my gums and using the water pick but she said to still floss at least once per day. I hat being turned upside down to where it is comfortable for them and I had to ask her to stop three time because I was beginning to hyperventilate. The rest of the day I had a rapid heart beat. I really don't like that feeling.
I'm going to my nephew's 4th birthday party this afternoon. Don't plan on staying all the time.
Asked my sis the other night if it were possible for me to have some more time at home. I can't get every thing done.

Happy
Happy belated birthday to you. Glad you had a good time at the casino. I'm not sure if I could keep up with all that volunteering that you do. Kitten is growing up to fast. She is looking more like a cat but she is getting to be more loving too. I can't wait to bring her home with me.

Laura
I've tried my hand at putting on windshield wiper blades. To complicated for me.

Hello's to Dee, Shad and Susie. I'll try to come back for some more personal later. This morning has gotten away from me.

Good Sunday morning. The sun is shinning bright today. It is so nice to see it.

We have the promise of temperatures in the higher 70' all week. I am thrilled for that! I do need to switch the closests over and I think I will do that this afternoon.

Yesterday my day was pretty busy with a LuLaRoe party that Genny and I hosted together. We had a good partu and we both got free clothes !!

I got up yesterday morning and cleaned most of my house so only a bit of dusting today to be done.

We are going to church this morning and I am looking forward to it as we missed last week.

I have some good news to share about Genny. She was tested about two weeks ago for the breast cancer gene and some other cancer genes and it all came back negative ! That is such good news! It means a lot in her having this cancer cured. All glory ans honor and thanks be to Jesus!!

Happy, I hope you had a wonderful birthday.

I am sorry to hear your DH is not getting relief from the steriod shot.

You have a lot on your plate this coming week. I hope you are getting some downtime this weekend.

Annie: those little ones are so cute on the ballfield. I know how much time going to the games for the grandbabies can take...but we do it because we love them.

I too can br cranky when I dont get my sleep, especially my Sunday nap. It is just better for everyone that I get that in!

Laura, I tried once to change the wiper blades. I even used YouTube and I ended back up at the auto store and they did it for me. They do it free if you buy them there and that is my plan going forward! Lol

Ceejay: I dont like that upside down feeling in the dentist chair neither. I hope your heartbeat is back to normal.

Hello to Dee and Shad!

Good Monday morning ladies.

We got a tinkle of rain this morning - need more. Everything is tinder dry (even with all this melting snow and rising rivers), winds are gusty and fire danger is high. That always makes me nervous. It was a nice weekend. There were so many wonderful raffles that I DID NOT WIN including $1,000 prizes at the casino, a new camper trailer, a 2 night stay at a resort with dinner and a river trip. Heck, I could not even win one of the small raffle prizes at the Humane Society event yesterday and since we had a small crowd, the ratio of prizes to attendees is about 1:2. So goes my luck... But I did have a nice weekend altogether. We are headed for Duluth in a bit, I am hoping there is something to be discovered about this pain in my foot as I am tired of hobbling around - even the better weather is not helping much. And I have so much to get done around the house here. I might have to cut back my time at the senior center to just a half day or so tomorrow so I can get back to things here.

Susie - yeah for free clothes! I heard that hosting a LuLaRoe party gets some pretty generous perks for the hosts. I am not into their clothes but it does seem those who are really LOVE their stuff. I'm so happy to hear of Genny's clean bill of health. I have had her on my prayer list ever since you mentioned her - seems I know many people who are having health concerns right now. She must be just over the moon happy. I hope your work week is not too insanely busy this week.

Ceejay - ugh on the upside down dentist chair - I hear you on that one. And once it gets in your head that it bothers you, there's no getting out of it. Glad it's over with. I think you are hitting the wall with being away from the house the same way I am - too many over due things piling up. Some times you just have to insist on a reset and take back control.

The lunch we went to on Saturday turned out to be fabulous. It started at 10 but with a cooking demonstration and lots of chatting - the hosts and cook are wonderful people. We ate about 11:30 so it was a luncheon. Crispy pork sliced thinly served with white rice and sliced cucumbers. Totally fabulous. But I really loved the soup. Tom Yum Noodle soup. You make the broth out of pork bones seasoned with lemon grass and cumin. And then instead of tossing all soup ingredients into the pot, you assemble your bowl of soup. Start with rice noodles - think pad thai noodles, some bean sprouts, chopped peanuts, cooked ground pork, fried garlic bits, chili vinegar, lime juice, a small sprinkle of sugar, fresh cilantro, a dash of fish sauce for salt, and additional chopped chilies if you want more heat. Over all that you pour your broth and let it sit a minute. Just amazing. I opted out of the extra chilies and the lime was the predominant flavor for me although they all blend into this wonderful arrangement of flavors which is thai - sweet, salty, bitter, acidic, etc. We are going back to that farm in 3 weeks for another cooking class - I'm looking forward to it. I bought a small piece of pork belly - bacon comes from pork belly although this is a thicker piece. I found some incredible recipes online I can't wait to try once I come back home. Also got a few of her pork chops - they have more fat on them and I may mix the meat a bit with the chops I got from the other farm. Sorry for all the food porn. I was just so impressed.

Don't see anyone else checking in so I will post this. I need to get ready anyway. Have a good day and hellos to the chicks.

Morning all. Mild weather today. Finally.

Happy – Sounds like you had a nice birthday weekend. == Glad you enjoyed the farm lunch. I love, love, love Tom Yum soup. Haven’t ever made it at home though. The restaurant version doesn’t have noodles, probably because a lot of Thai main entrees have noodles or rice, and no noodles is the just traditional Thai way. == Hope the ultrasound finds what’s going on with your foot!! == What your sister experienced with your mom re grocery shopping – exactly. Frustrating.

Ceejay – Good for you mowing again. Good exercise!! == Sorry the dentist visit makes you uncomfortable. Yeh, it’s not great to be in that upside-down position when the hygienist uses the water pick thingy to clean your teeth and you have the suction thingy in your mouth, but it isn’t always in the right spot… == Sounds like a nice kitty cat, I bet you’ll enjoy having her with you at home.

Susie – Did you get your closets switched up? == Yay for free clothes! == Wow, that is absolutely awesome news about Genny!!! So good to hear that.

Hellos to Annie, Shad and Dee.

++

Weekend was good. Went to a 60th birthday party on Saturday. That was fun, even though we it was too chilly to be outside. Someone brought a pineapple-orange juice & rum concoction for a special birthday shot (b-day boy likes rum) and at the bottom was a moonshine maraschino cherry. Nice treat that gave it a little kick at the end when you eat it. Might have to make some of those cherries…

I was up a pound on the scale this morning, not surprising based on my eating last week/over the weekend. Will try harder this week.

I inflated the tires on my bike yesterday afternoon and rode my bike to the train today. Felt good to be back on the bike. I think tomorrow will be another bike day. Wednesday’s iffy, Thursday will be rainy, so no bike for sure.

Okay, gonna grab some lunch. TTFN!
