Good Morning Floozies!!!

YOU'LL GET THROUGH

When the challenge is in front of you, it looks big and difficult and complicated and forbidding. Yet when that same challenge is behind you, you wonder why you ever hesitated to take it on.

Are there challenges looming on your horizon, challenges that seem insurmountable?

They are not nearly so difficult as they may at first appear. In fact, once you get past them they will hardly seem difficult at all. Because in the process of going through them, you'll learn, you'll improve, you'll grow, you'll become stronger.

In the process of meeting the challenges that are now in front of you, you'll take yourself to a higher level of performance. You'll take yourself to a higher level of wisdom, strength, and effectiveness.

Imagine yourself there now, already past the challenges, stronger and more experienced as a result. You will have achieved something of value and, perhaps more importantly, put yourself in a position to take on even greater, even more rewarding challenges.

So jump in right now and begin to work your way through the challenges that confront you. You know you'll get through them, to discover great new value on the other side.

Love and Hugs
Carol

I only have another minute or so before I leave for work but I just had to check in and say.........

CONGRATULATIONS SHERRY

You are doing great on WW. I am so proud of you. Down another 3 lbs and a total of 26.... You should be so proud of yourself. I know I am. Don't let things get you down so you fall off plan. I know things will work out.

My motto is.. things may look bad...BUT..THEY COULD ALWAYS BE WORSE!! So look for the silver lining and GO GET YOUR NAILS DONE!!! I love you... and you are right about Gayle. She is such a sweet sweet person...

Are you listening Gayle... we love you.. don't ever change. Your new addition Maggie is adorable!!

Just an update about Mom. She is doing great!! They let her eat some jello yesterday so they are starting to introduce food to her again. Slowly, so no stitches or anything gets hung up inside her colon. Still are waiting for the final word on her last biopsy, but that will probably take a couple of days. I am feeling pretty confident that everything is okay and they got everything but you know how it is, until you get the final OK.. you still worry a bit.

As you can see, I am up a little for this weigh in. That hospital food is a killer. But I am back on track this week, so hopefully I will down a lot more next week.

Gotta run now.
I love you all

Hugs
Carol

Sherry congratulations on the weight loss. That is wonderful 26 pounds down. You must feel so great. Keep the nails. It is a little treat for all you have done. I don't know how you can have nice nails with all the work you do.

Carol the small weight gain may be due to the salt, drink lots of water. Glad to hear that your mom was starting to eat yesterday.

Gayle Maggie is adorable. What a sweet addition.

Last night Larry tried to top the weekend. He wrapped himself in saran wrap. I started to laugh and I said to him I can clearly see your nuts. lol

Hope you all have a great day.

Sherry, FANTASTIC JOB!!!! You will be a skinny minnie in no time!

Gayle, your puppy is so cute. There is nothing like a new little puppy to bring a smile to your face.

Carol, glad to hear the good news about your mother. Please take care of yourself as well.

Dee, does the vice squad visit your house regularly???hahahaha
If variety is the spice of life, I'd say you and Larry are about the spiciest people I know!!!!

Hey to Shelley, Debbie, Jennelle, Titan, Jeanne, Doni, Vicki, Cheryl..

I can't remember if I told you or not. We found the minister who married my mom and dad 50 years ago. He is in his late 80's and lives in Kansas City. He and his wife are coming this weekend to the reception to suprise my parents. He will be at church Sunday morning and that is the first they will know about it. I'm so excited to see their reaction! Be ready for lots of pictures next week!

Hmmm...if Dee and Larry can find fun with plastic wrap...just think what they can do with aluminum foil!!!!

Ramona: That is way cool!!!! Your parents will be thrilled!!!! To bad he can't preform a surprise renewal of their vows. Just a thought...

Sherry: YIPPEEEEEEE!!!! You are doing SUPER!!! Send some of that motivation my way!!! I can't believe how much you've lost!

Carol: I agree with Dee, the weight gain was probably the salt, plus not drinking as much water. As far as me being "sweet", nah...I just have you guys fooled...just ask Steve!

Our new baby is resting in her box by my feet. She slept all night through, but when she is awake, she prefers company.

Oh Shelley!!!!!!?????

Great news on the weight losses. I'm not paying much attention to that these days, but will probably need to again soon. My weight goes up and down so much.

This morning I was reading my new Woman's World magazine and 2 things popped up. Weight Watchers is introducing another "new plan". I had heard about this last spring. It's called Flexpoints.

The other one is that if you eat 3 apples a day, you will lose more weight. I think I may try that as soon as I can get to the store.

Debbie, did you get the PM I sent you? It has the dates for Titans games. Don't spank me but I said I hope they lose Thursday night because I don't want them to be too cocky for the Oakland game.

Dee-You crack me up!!

Sherry-You are doing an awesome job!! Come next summer, you'll be getting a string bikini for your Fl. trip!

Gayle-Maggie is a cutie. Enjoy her!

Titan-Flexpoints is all over the WW website. It looks interesting, but I know I'm set in my ways, and wouldn't want all those extra points lingering around for me use. I might try it out in the future, though.

Ramona-That will be such a wonderful surprise for your parents!

Debbie-Are you still doing WW? I haven't seen your menus on the challenge thread lately. Hang in there! You have been doing so good. I hope you work is going better than mine!!

Carol-I'm so glad your mother is doing better. Give her an extra hug for me!!

Shelley: I was reading somewhere, that Flexpoint is set up like a bank account with an alotted amount of points plus like 30 extra bonus points. You use them as you see fit and deduct them as you would a check book balance. Someone said it's easier to figure and it seems like your eating more food.

Talking

I"M POSTING!!!!!!!!

I actually tried to post one day last week and the darned computer wouldn't let me!! I hate it when that happens! I posted over at my other thread, no problem, then I came to visit my Floozies and it kept telling me "Site not found" every time I hit the submit button! I tried and tried!!

Carol--hope your mom is doing well!

Gayle--beautiful puppy. My niece loves "weinie dogs." The new WW system does seem to be pretty doable. Basically what they've done (at least what it seems to me) is raised the points range for each weight category by five points. They say they give you a "target point" goal for each day, but if you divide your flex points into equal amounts for each day, you still have a "points range," just like before.

Y'all, I am so DISGUSTED with myself. I keep gaining and gaining weight! Last night at my meeting, I weighed 242 1/2 pound. UGH!!!!!!!

Shelley--I will definitely be joining the September Walking/Exercise challenge!! Starting next Monday, I am determined to walk 2 miles/day again! Be looking for me over there!

Hope all the teachers and school workers are getting back into the school groove with no problems!

I had yet another job interview on Monday. This one is for a town down around Texarkana. Also had one of my former managers call me yesterday and tell me he has an opening in one of his counties and wants me to come back to work for him (no promotion there, though, just a latteral move). Made me feel good, though if I don't get the Texarkana job, which IS a promotion, I doubt that I'll want to leave where I am now.

Always thinking of all of y'all often,
Cheryl

Here's a fun test that I passed on to a few of you via email. Ramona and I are both a 39!

We're going to do a little test to day. It's not hard, it's got no
wrong
answers, just some are better than others.

Here Ya go ... try this. Below is Dr. Phil's test.

(Dr. Phil scored 55 -- he did this test on Oprah-she got a 38.)
Some folks pay a lot of money to find this stuff out.
Read on, this is very interesting! Don't be overly sensitive!
The following is pretty accurate and it only takes 2 minutes.
Take this test for yourself and send it to your friends.
In the subject line, tell them what your score was.
Don't peek but begin the test as you scroll down and answer.
Answers are for who you are now...... not who you were in the past.
Have pen or pencil and paper ready.
This is a real test given by the Human Relations Dept. at many of the
major
corporations today. It helps them get better insight concerning their
employees and prospective employees.
It's only 10 simple questions, so...... grab a pencil and paper,
keeping
track of your letter answers.

Ready?? Begin...

_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_

_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_

POINTS:

1. (a) 2 (b) 4 (c) 6

2. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 7 (d) 2 (e) 1

3. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 5 (d) 7 (e) 6

4. (a) 4 (b) 6 (c) 2 (d) 1

5. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 2

6. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 2

7. (a) 6 (b) 2 (c) 4

8. (a) 6 (b) 7 (c) 5 (d) 4 (e) 3 (f) 2 (g) 1

10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1
_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_
Now add up the total number of points.
_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_
OVER 60 POINTS;
Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen
as
vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire
you, wishing
they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to
become
too deeply involved with you.
_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_
51 TO 60 POINTS:
Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive
personality;
a natural leader, who's quick to makedecisions, though not always the
right
ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try
anything
once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy
being in your
company because of the excitement you radiate.
_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_
41 TO 50 POINTS:
Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and
always
interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but
sufficiently well- balanced not to let it go to their head. They also
see you as kind,
considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and
help
them out.
,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_
31 TO 40 POINTS:
Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see
you as
clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends
too
quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do
make and
who expect the same loyalty in return. Those whonreally get to know you
realize
it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it
takes
you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.
_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_
21 TO 30 POINTS:
Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very
cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really
surprise them
if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment,
expecting
you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually
decide
against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful
nature.
_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_
UNDER 21 POINTS:
People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs
looking
after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who
doesn't want
to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who
always
sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only
those
who know you well know that you aren't.

Now forward this to others, and put your score in subject box.

Hey girls!!

Nothing has changed around here, I'm still busy, busy!!

Gayle....I loved the quiz, I scored 39. Guess I knew I wasn't a genius...LOL Your new baby is precious.

Dee....You are such a hoot!! I have had "sex on the beach" I'll keep everyone wondering which one I'm talking about.

Titan....Please keep us posted about what's going on with the babies. How is your daughter in law feeling?

Carol....I'm so glad your Mom is doing so good. I gained 1 pound last week and it wasn't from eating hostipal food. You and Sherry are my weight-loss heros!!

Shelley...I didn't journal for over a week. Man....I got in trouble with Sherry...big-time. I'm back journaling as of Monday. I'll try to post my menus daily. Guess what...I plan on joining the Sept. walking challenge too. Don't faint... LOL

Sherry.....I can't believe your new SIZE 14's are loose on you. "You skinny thang" You look great!!! Did you like the flavored water?

Ramona....The party sounds like so much fun. I'm sure everything will go fine. Is everyone dressing for the 70's theme?

WELL.....I have a pool~~~~~~~~ AND it is HUGE!!! They said we could only fill it during the sunlight hours because of stretching the liner. At that rate it should take 4 days!! We are still wondering if the water will warm up enough to swim this year. If the water warms up...EVERYONE is invited to a
"""pool party!!"""

Hugs...deb

Hello all..

Just an update on all that has been going on.

I know that God only gives you as much as you can handle but right now he is over the line.

I found out yesterday around noon that they found cancer is Mom's lymph nodes and in her blood. She got out of the hospital tonight, but will start Chemo in 6 weeks.

Then last night on the way to the hospital my husband, sister Lorie and I got caught in a severe storm and a tree fell on the car. Kevin and I are fine, but my sister has a broken neck. She had surgery today and everything is looking good. They said if she had to break it, it broke a good way. My husband Kevin is beating himself up thinking if he had done this or done that differently (he was driving)... My sister and I have both told him that it was not his fault and everything will be fine, but he is taking it hard right now.

My car is totaled, but that is the least of my worries. A car can be replaced. I told my sister I was tired of making car payments anyway and it was time for a new one too!!

Then my daughter called me late this afternoon to tell me that my grandaughter has e coli virus which can be bad. They are having tests done on her.

I got about 1/2 hour sleep last night and hope I can get a bit more than that tonight. I have to go stay with Mom and Dad tomorrow to help them out and hopefully we will be able to leave them alone for periods of time and just check in several times a day so I don't have to miss too much more work and lose my job.

Enough rambling on about my worries. I am going to try to relax a bit. Right now everyone is being taken care of so I can try to get my bearings for another day.

I love you all and thanks for listening.

Carol
