Wish some of us from HS could get together but evidently they don't want to. To busy with their own lives.
Susie
Good for you for speaking your mind.

Boss still doesn't want me to back wash the filters. Sewer pipes are still completely full. I'm up to a .05mg/l in iron this morning for drinking water. I wish I knew how much rain we did get. Will be checking the filters for iron levels in a few minutes. Always something different at my job.

'Morning awesome chickie babes,
Thunderstorms are about to roll in - big time rain today. It always seems to rain or snow when I have to go into the shop. I got an email from the shelter yesterday too - they are not processing the adoptions correctly so the animals still show as available. There are over 40 dogs they need to correct! I need to get back into working with them. *sigh* I need to get back doing an awful lot of things.
I am going to go for lab work on Thursday to see if I have Bulgarian Tongue Rot or some other disease which is causing me so many problems lately. Legs are really wonky - she worked on my ankles yesterday - those are stiff and out of joint too. I need a good massage twice a week to put everything back in place
We ran some errands in town and stopped at a place that does porch enclosures. We want to put an extension on the house - add a room to enclose a hot tub and a mud room for the back entrance. The model they had was roomy and do-able. DH came home and measured and said we can get one that size. Would make for a nice sitting area too so I guess we'd give up the gazebo when we re-do the deck. The man said with a hot tub you will have humidity problems so it's better to do a 3 season vented room over a permanent addition to the house. I hope having a hot tub is not going to be a big hassle but I sure do want one. My achy body wants one and 2 friends who have arthritis said they use theirs all the time and it helps them to feel better. So the man is supposed to come and measure tomorrow afternoon and give us a quote and some options. But today's rain is turning to snow tonight and we are supposed to get one of our famous (totally normal for us) spring dumper snow storms. Anywhere from 3 to 8 inches depending on how the storm tracks. It will be heavy, wet stuff but it won't last all that long. Our deck is so warped that it looks like the drunken seas. Boards are popping up - I worry about the weight of snow. We have made a down payment and signed a contract with a man to replace the house siding and deck this spring. The porch enclosure man said he could start (and should start) disassembling the old deck very soon. We can't get the new porch enclosure until the deck is installed anyway. So that's our big ticket expense this year. And the only one I hope. We need windows too but that can wait for a while as it's only 2 right now. And I hope my 2003 Toyota Avalon keeps running for a few more years. Not in the market for another car right now. I was so happy to be driving it again. Now I'll have to put it away for a while until the snow melts down.
Ceejay - glad you didn't get damaging winds from the storm. Does this mean that 2 people on your team have quit? They are going to be in a boat of trouble when you retire.
Annie - I would be happy to write your review for you. I was pretty good at them if I do say so myself. Not that I enjoyed writing reviews for a staff of 12, but any job worth doing was worth doing well. I think it's lazy of the managers to make employees write their own. However I always made my team provide part of it so that they had a chance to "blow their own horn" and motivate them to WANT to have some accomplishments on their come year end. Thank you for the kind words on DH's pictures. I told him. He was beaming. Sometimes he beams too much. I told him that a person who likes compliments should remember to be complimentary themselves sometimes He keeps trying to turn into a grandpa and I keep fighting him every step of the way These girls that hook up with a guy who is 20, 30, 40 years older than them sure are in for a big surprise. Heck, DH is only 4 years older than me. I worked with a volunteer on Saturday who was bragging on her "much younger boyfriend". Sorry honey, that don't make you young. Doesn't anyone hook up with people around their own age any more????? Oh well, in any regard I'm glad you like the pictures and your brother also. I hope your refrigerator is not having big time problems. I know what you mean about opening the door to big expenses - they all seem to tumble out of the closet at once. Ack!!!
Susie - I'm proud of you for holding your ground with the AD. And for letting it leak that you are keeping track of things. BACK OFF SISTER In today's world you have to be polite but be defensive and look out for yourself. I also applaud that you are not letting people guilt you into preventing you from doing things to further your career. That's another thing you MUST be in charge of. They will love it that you do everything for them, but when they move on they won't look out for you and you may find when you were loyal, you have given up opportunities and loyalty does not get you promoted. I'm sorry if I sound jaded but upper management does not look out for employees the way they once did. Just like your health - YOU have to take charge of things. Ok, end of rant. Time for the AD to stand up on her own and start proving herself.
Michelle - hope things go well with Santa. Whatever you are behind in your training I hope you keep up with the marathon. Even if you get a free bus ride in the end. It's so important to try. That's what I told myself yesterday when I had 97 excuses for not getting on the bike. It is hard to find motivation when it's gloomy out - the sun is very energizing - but don't let everything tumble down hill when things get out of kilter. So easy to do. Dust yourself off, today's a new day and the wagon is still trudging along
Laura - eee gads on the washer dryer hold up. By now I would have said CANCEL and let's get white ones. I have a blue washer but made sure it was in stock before we paid for it. I think not having a kitchen is worse than no washer but only by a little bit As for the hot sauce in the sprayer - might be too thick for the small spray nozzle. I wonder if you could use the residual oil from hot - ok, I can't spell it - Jar-Din-Nair and use it in a spray oil pump instead? I have one of those and I love it - use it for olive oil to replace that PAM canned stuff that leaves sticky residue on things. It's also less WW points than using butter or a tsp of measured oil. But that oil can be just as spicy as hot sauce. Just a thought. Oh and they say to plant marigolds to discourage rabbits. No way - I had rabbits make a nest in mine
Shad - I loved your response about "how long is a piece of string..." I will have to remember that Sounds like you are going to be one busy little chick. We have a place in town that helps parents raise their children responsibly by teaching them what they don't know (besides how to make a baby). They have all sorts of baby things like high chairs, play pens, etc to lend out. Some of the volunteers were telling me they use them when their grandchildren visit. This place is a charity that runs on grants - if people don't use the stuff, the place does not get their grant money so it's a win win for the community. So it's an idea to look into short term loan to get your through the visitor's stay.
Sorry to cut this short but the sky's are turning a deep gray - something we have not seen in a long time with approaching thunderstorms. I need to get in the shower and cleaned up before the storm hits. So I'd better get to hustling.
Sleep deprivation again..but at least my friend's dog only asked to go for a walk twice last night (at 12:30 am and at 4 am). By the time I got in from the last one, I was able to get another hour and a half of sleep before the alarm went off.
So much to get done today at work....Must have more coffee to make it happen.
Thanks for all the kind words about Santa. The first tests coming back are pointing to some medical issues, and I'm trying not to worry about it until all the results are in. Thankfully, I've made friends with one of our awesome shelter vets at work....she is reassuring me that most conditions are manageable...and that she'll happily review the test results once they are all in and will offer her opinion. Yep, our vets here are super wonderful.
Anyway, I've got to go fight with some code, and hopefully I will conquer the code so I can get my project back on schedule.
Morning all. Back to work today. I don’t know where my head is these days, but I’m really not into my work lately.
Annie – I don’t know why bf had to have red. And yes, our laundry equipment is in our basement. And our basement is not a lovely finished space. At best, it’s semi-finished, and it’s pretty much a dumping ground for unwanted and stored items. So let’s just say that having that shiny new red washer and dryer is like putting lipstick on a pig (one of my former boss’s favorite sayings, BTW). I'll definitely be giving bf a hard time about this for a good long while. And, no, he will not just sit and look at the new machines – for the time being, I will definitely be “letting” him do all of our “common” laundry – sheets, towels, etc. as punishment for extending our laundromat visits for three weeks because he wanted red. --- Sounds like you have a bunch of great features on your new SUV – enjoy! So you either don't think you'll outlive this vehicle or your kids will soon take away your car keys??!! --- So does the box truck come home with C every night? I was wondering because some subdivisions don't allow commercial trucks to be parked in residential areas. --- The museum trip sounded like a lot of fun... for the kids. The crowds doen't sound fun at all though. So did R’s bday party include other kids, or was it just family?? Cuz I think you probably had your fill of kids galore at the museum, LOL. ---Ugh, writing your own review. I’m not given to tooting my own horn, so I keep my reviews pretty, uh, factual. But sometimes I wonder how much fun it would be fun to give myself a “walking on water” type of review. Then the boss would have to actually do his own work to give me what he feels is an accurate review. Because giving someone an “outstanding” performance review would mean they have to give them a raise above the usual puny amount, and the boss’s boss and the boss’s boss’s boss would have to sign off on that and God forbid the boss should call attention to himself and his department. Sigh. –Fingers your fridge is okay and maybe you just have to replace the icemaker. Bf replaced ours himself last year, but only after we had paid for a useless service call. --- How fun to get together with the HS friends. Nice pic of you all!-- Congrats on the weight loss Annie. YGG!
Susie – Wow, working until 8 pm. You are way more devoted than I would be…but your post sounded really frustrated with your AD. On the one hand, good for you for coming back with details of how her unresponsiveness holds up your work, but on the other hand, what a shame you have to maintain “proof” of this to protect yourself (just adds to your workload). I sure hope something happens in the new work plans/fiscal year to lighten your load. This has been going on for a long time, hasn't it??
Michelle – I hope Bob’s sister’s dog has settled down and you’ve been able to catch up on your sleep. So hard to function when you’ve been sleep-deprived!-- I hope the tests for Santa show nothing serious. --- I’m sorry you’re not happy with the progress you’ve achieved with your running…but you do realize you have a lot going on in your life and something’s gotta give, don’t you??!! I’m not saying you can’t have it all, but you might not be able to have it all at once, LOL. And feel free to take my words with a grain of salt, because I envy the energy and passion at which you go after the things you care about!
Ceejay – Gosh, you’ve gotten some bad weather in your area recently! Scary about the tornadoes. I always took it for granted almost always having a basement and thus having a pretty safe place to take shelter.-- Are you saying too much iron in the water causes problems with the plumbing??
Happy - Yeh, we’re also gonna get wind and thunderstorms here later today. (Please no snow!) It would be nice to make it home from work before this arrives. --- Gosh, the shelter needs to get the records corrected - time for some refresher training!—Twice weekly massages sound really good to me!! You know our commune will have a full-time masseuse! And so you took my advice about getting a hot tub, smart girl. When my friend D first saw our house way back when, she suggested a hot tub for our 3-season room. That was an appealing idea, but the room is too small for that. Hot tubs are rather large! What a nice thing that will be for you! So this year you will have new siding, a new deck, a porch enclosure and a hot tub. Why do you have to give up the gazebo – is it part of the deck/on the deck? Anyway - there’s a lot going on at your house this year – and don’t forget the new door! ---Re the hot sauce spray – huh, I never thought of using giardinara (sp?) oil, but I bet it would work. I used to have one of those oil mist sprayers. Mine was plastic and at some point we stopped using it and the oil inside it went rancid and the plastic absorbed that smell. Ugh. Is yours made of metal? (Is it aluminum that’s supposed to not absorb odors??) Anyway, I don’t think I’d spring the $$ for the bunnies. And unfortunately, I think bf probably made sure I tossed the old oil mister thingy, otherwise I would have probably kept it around until I could repurpose it in some way. I’ll do some more research on what else might keep the rabbits away. ---LOL – dh turning into a grandpa. I take it you mean him turning into a grumpy old man? In which case you can use the term - “grumpa” .
Hellos to the rest of you.

My day off yesterday was alright. I got doggy in to the vet for his adequan (joint) shot. I also got in to the salon to have my brows waxed. I’m annoyed that either the waxing itself or the lotion she applied afterwards made my skin break out in the area just above my brows and at my temples. I’ve been going to this person/salon for a while now and that’s never happened.
Bf heard from the appliance place yesterday and the equipment “should” arrive at their warehouse by/on Friday. And yes, the sales guy used the quotation marks too. So we’ll see, and if we’re lucky we might have installation early next week. I suppose this weekend we should try to clean up the area where they’ll install the new machines.
Nothing much going on with me. I’m going to skip the movies (as usual nowadays). I haven’t been motivated to do much of anything in the evenings lately, but I suppose I should force myself to do something. There’s plenty to do around the house. And then there’s always exercise…
Laura
lol, No the abundance of rain water in the sewer pipes has caused me to run the plant differently. They have a set standard for our water at a 0.06mg/l I've been having to check the iron more often to not get the iron in the drinking water. He let me do the back wash procedure this morning so this has helped and he told me that as soon as the pit has been pumped out I could do another back wash and then go to normal. We have had an over abundance amount of rain. I'd be excited when the new washer and dryer gets there.
Michelle
So good that the vet's at the shelter is giving you good advice concerning Santa. That would be a relief in itself. Wow taking the dog out for walks at that hour in the morning would really play havoc on ones sleep.
Happy
Please keep all that rain up there. We don't need anymore. To funny about the older gal and the younger man. I used to call my friend " the cougar" for choosing younger men. She actually married a much younger man who is around 46 and she's 64. From her text I don't think the marriage is as good as she thought it would be. She had a son that would have been 42 this year. He was killed in a crop duster plane that crashed. The wheels caught hold of the electrical wires. I think she is trying to replace him but I'm not a phycologist. The new addition sounds great. I love my sister's sun room. When I'm there I like to get up early and go sit out there and listen to the birds. I would like to have a hot tub. I may borrow my sister's hot tub next week end. Can't make up my mind whether to go up there on Thursday or Friday. I may decide to go on Thursday. I really want to and need to get a bank account there so I can sign up for Social Security soon. I'm going to have to look up Bulgarian Tongue Rot. I've never heard of that before. I hope you don't but I do hope you can get to the result of what is. I hate for any one to suffer.
Morning all,
Strange weather around here - we are normally moving into cooler, drier weather now, but it is still hot and sometimes wet. Wet I don't mind, hot I am over. Lets get back to the high 20'sC instead of the 30's.
DS2 bought a load of soil over the weekend an put it into my new garden out the front. He and the dog shovelled for ages but it was still much quicker than me and the wheelbarrow. Son has managed to get his ute back on the road and although it is not finished and painted at least he has transport and is able to do things like dump runs and bulk buys.
I've been putting a strict budget into place and those two (DS2 and G/f) are amazed that we can live on $300, eat well and still pay all the utility bills as they come in. And that includes the dog and cat food. Maybe this time I will get it into their thick heads that you don't have to have all the gadgets, and you don't have to eat meat every meal, and you don't have to have an overloaded pantry in which to cook ordinary food. We had so many duplications in the pantry when we got it sorted and rearranged that I had to ban them from shopping at the supermarket. We are still eating our way through some of it - such as cous cous, polenta, salad dressings and nuts. I've had to throw quite a lot out because it was so far past its use by date.
The ODDU has just nicked the cats breakfasts. He is learning to wait rather than cause a ruckus and pinch it while they are still eating. So now he picks up their bowls and takes them outside to finish off the delectable (?????) stuff. I go round and pick up the bowls later for washing. Soon we will go outside and let the DS2 (on nightshift) sleep for a while longer.
There are flowers on the beans in the garden so soon we should be eating fresh green beans, I don't think the butter beans ever came up - maybe the seeds were too old or something. The peas have been slow but are started to get a move on now - as is one of the tomatoes. Corn is growing but doesn't seem in a hurry, neither are the lettuces or the capsicum. Maybe some more fertiliser might help them along.
Annie - well done on the weight loss. You are doing so well with it.
Michelle - Hope you can get yourself on track again. Sleep deprivation won't help. Happy is right - better to participate and not finish that not participate. You won't be the only one on the bus - if indeed that is the case.
Laura - think you better tie the B/f to the red washers and insist he do the laundry, wash, dry, fold, putaway for at least six months.
Happy - Big ticket items on the house always manage to deplete the coffers. Got a bit to do round here as well that are going to cost me. Lucky DS2 can do a lot of the work himself.
Ceejay - what's going on at work? Everyone is leaving??? Better get your retirement notice in soon or they will leave you the company!
Okay, better go get on with it. There's work to be done.
Hi Ladies. Thanks for letting me vent last night and for all your support.
It was pretty funny this morning as my AD was so chatty and nice to me when I came in. I just kept smiling and nodding every time she chatted with me and then I would turn back and do my work.
Also when I left at 5 p.m. tonight, she said, I'm glad you can go home tonight on time-and I said "that would be nice but I'm still pretty close, my on-time is 4:30 p.m. Have a nice evening and I'll see you tomorrow".
I didn't get up this morning in time to do my workout but I will for sure tomorrow. I have been doing something new at work; when I get up to go to the restroom, I stroll the floor before coming back to my desk. It's helping to get a few more steps in.
I'm pretty excited about summer coming. It was 74 degrees today and so nice! I have some shopping to do and I have a few things ordered as well. I received a reward (we call them POY--power of you) for my leadership in planning and executing the Admin Offsite that we had in April. My POY came from our Group President and I could pick a gift card and I got one for Lane Bryant--it was a $100 card so it will be nice to do some shopping with it. I always buy my pants from there as they fit me so nicely.
Another reason I'm looking forward to summer is DH and I are going to a couple of concerts and I am also going with my best friend to one as well.
DH and I are seeing Vince Gill (in May) and Zack Brown (in July) and me and BF are seeing Goo Goo Dolls in (August).
Also, Kings Island will open next month on the weekends and we have our passes so I'm all about summer!
If I stay on track this week for Thursday weigh-in, I will be down 17 lbs since January.
Annie: I know how you feel about writing your own review. We have to do it as well. We fill in our accomplishments against that "rocks" that we put on the work plan and we also have to have a development plan in place for the next year.
It sounds and looks like you had a great time with all your high school buddies!
Shad: That is a pretty strict budget you all are own but as you said it is doable.
A few years ago, when one of our town's biggest employer left and so many were without jobs DH and I had some "survivor" guilt that we had jobs and we wondered how we could make a difference to those that didn't.
So we decided that one week out of the month, we wouldn't buy any groceries with the exception of orange juice, bread, mile and eggs and we would eat from what we had in the pantry. The grocery money we saved we put it aside and then we would leave it anonymously for one of the neighbors on our street who had lost their job to help them that month with some unexpected expense or to save it back for such a time or to do whatever they wanted with it.
To my knowledge no one was for sure who was really doing it.
Happy: A hot tub sounds wonderful! It would ease those aches and pains.
I hope that when you get to the doctor you get some good direction.
Laura: What type of wax does your salon use? A couple of months ago, when my lady waxed me (I have my brows, lip and chin done) she used a wax that you didn't heat. It was the first time that I ever had that kind and I broke out in all those areas, so I asked her from now on to use the kind that is heated.
Ceejay: I laughed when you wrote that it's always something different at your job...it seems that way for sure! I hope things are getting back to normal there.
Have you been on your bike lately?
Michelle: You know that Santa is going to be ok. You got that job where you are for a reason and having access to those vets is one of those reasons.
now, remember, focus on what you want for the next 2 months and that is to finish that half marathon. Don't become distracted by all the many other things going on around you. It's time to batten down those hatches, take care of you and Santa. The rest will be there when you cross that finish line.
Ok, ladies, got to run we DVR'd the Bachelor last night and I must see who he picked.
Good Morning, if you want to call it that. Yeeeee Gad! Good news, me thinks the ice maker is working again. Bad news the freezer went out over night. This morning entailed me packing up all the freezer food and taking it to DSs this morning to put in my old fridge/freezer section. lol. Thank God I had a place so not to lose the food. Then the road I take to work was flooded but had receded however the stop lights were out. Did you know not everyone one knows how to treat a burnt out stop light as a 4-way stop. OMG!!!
My friend Nellie passed away this past Friday night. Visitation is this Friday evening with the funeral this Saturday. She was such a lovely person and I will miss her tremendously.
Not doing personals today as I need to get my reports done in case I need to meet the repair person at home for the freezer. Not happy today!

Good morning kids,
We are getting a snow dumping - decided to cancel physical therapy this morning. We have a fairly long ride on a winding no passing road where people crawl up your butt if you are not doing 20 miles over the speed limit. It's especially scary when those logging trucks are doing it to you. I might take a pass on yoga too depending on how bad the snow is. This is the heavy, wet stuff of spring - they said it will pack down and get really slippery. So there's no real reason to go out.
They are having a radio auction in 30 minutes. They do it a couple of times a year - an opportunity to get some local things at a decent discount or try a new restaurant at a reduced rate. Some things can be purchased outright, but a few others are being bid on so I will have to listen to the radio to tell if someone out bid me. I'm glad I'm able to stay home today and listen to it.
Annie - I am sorry to hear about your freezer. Glad you were able to save the food you had but what a pain moving things around! I am officially putting the kabosh on anything else going on the fritz in your house!! And I would correct your statement to say that HARDLY ANYONE knows that a non working red light is an automatic 4 way stop. People have no common sense any more and are illiterate to the rules of driving. They just passed a law here that you MUST put your lights on in inclement weather. Some people are complaining with a capitol BIT... that the government imposes too many rules on people but for heaven's sake - cars are darn near invisible in rain, snow and fog without lights. I cringe when I see the stop lights out. DH and I were watching a news clip the other day talking about safety features on cars. I said this just enables people to drive more distracted than ever before. DH was supporting it saying they are using technology to make things safer. Horse pucky!!! We have a generation of young people who are fearful and inept because they never had to do anything for themselves because momma interceded with everything. Now we have cars that park themselves, warn you when you are getting too close to someone and are starting to drive themselves. The dumbing down of America continues. And congratulations on your weight loss so far Anne.
I guess I am just cranky. I don't want to be, life makes me cranky. Yesterday at the shop one of the volunteers brings her dog in. The dog is a nice dog but she does not mind her dog and thinks because she loves her dog, everyone must. The dog kept coming over and digging in my bag of stuff off to the side. I had my lunch in a cooler bag and the dog wanted it. I kept telling the dog no hoping she would call her dog off. Finally she said, oh come here - Happy DOES NOT WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU. Seriously??? Go feed your dog lady. Then she took the dog out - it was raining heavily and I had to smell wet dog all afternoon as it laid 2 feet away from me. Not a good smell. At one point I went across the street to get the bank deposit bags. 2 volunteers from the shelter were there and said a dog is roaming around outside loose. Turns out it was her dog - don't know how it got out but it went across the street, into the bank and went into someone's office. After that E leashed the dog and put the leash loop on her arm. Again we had to deal with not tripping over the dog laying in front of the cash register. At one point she almost knocked me down when the dog saw something that made it bolt and took her with it. But I am the bad guy if I say anything. I don't mind dogs but I should not have to worry about them eating my food or tripping me.
Susie - how nice that you got an award and can use the gift certificate for some spring shopping! I'm glad they recognized you and kudos to gently setting the AD straight Your concerts sound fun - are they in outdoor arenas? There's something about being around good music and a fun crowd and comraderie ! Congratulations on a fabulous weight loss so far this year - you have earned it. Keep up the good work!!! My WW buddy and I were talking yesterday about things we don't care for with the WW program. I wish the TOPS meeting was not so far away for us - 35 minutes for me and almost an hour for her to drive so we will stick with WW for now. Also I thought it was just super fabulous what you did with saving the grocery money and redistributing that. You guys are awesome and I'm sure you made that family's month with your generousity!!! Need more people like you.
Shad - good for you for providing a sound financial lesson for DS and his GF. I don't stockpile like I once did and getting more and more away from packaged foods, I can see like you how they go bad before you use them up. I'm sure travelling and being away for long periods like you do has also changed up your way of cooking.
Ceejay - holy cow - 64 years old with a 46 year old husband - that's crazy!!! But it made for a fun story I hope the rain and the flooding subside before the mosquitoes start laying eggs. Are you getting excited about retirement? I am impressed you can do the bike for a whole 20 minutes - you go girl!!!
Laura - we don't have to give up the gazebo but it will have to be rebuilt when the old deck gets torn down. If we do a 3 season room, a gazebo might be redundant. Don't know if we want to fork out the extra money to rebuild it also. So you've been skipping out on movie night? Nothing interesting or just don't feel like going out again once you get home? I hope they come through with delivering the new appliances by the end of the week or soon afterwards.
It's 10am and I need to get the radio set up and call in my items.
Happy
I do have strange friends. Yes, I really am getting excited about retirement. Have a few things to do next week end in Missouri to get the ball rolling.
Annie
Wow is not really a good word for this ordeal. Glad that there was room in the other freezer for the food.
Susie
No I didn't get to ride last night as I was to tired . But I am going to try to tonight.
-------
I took the fluoride sample over to B (he's the water plant boss) so he could mail it to the health department. He has to keep up with how much rain water that we get. He said 12 inches. I thought good grief no wonder the water will not go down. I got in my quota of steps yesterday without any problem with all the extra monitoring that I had to do. But no exercise minutes. I was to tired, maybe today but I'm not going to push myself.
Going home last night I kept smelling fresh cut grass. I really got a good dose when I pulled in my drive way. Most of my neighbors had mowed too. Guess I will tomorrow. Kind of missed mowing last year so I'm going to try again this year to see how my allergies do. Plus this is a good way to get some exercise and vitamin D. I will take an otc allergy med tonight to see if this will help me from having an all out attack.
This is all for now.
Afternoon all. Just a quick hello. I had an offsite event to attend this morning, and it went from 9 am to 12:30. Just finished some lunch, now to catch up with work. I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Guess I didn't do my due diligence on the Samsung products as far as the fridge goes. Yikes. There is nothing really wrong with the fridge except a flaw with most Samsung fridges have. Ice builds up in the back of the unit, lines freeze, ice forms under the bottom tray and everything goes hay wire. No fix for this. Have to empty out the entire unit, unplug, let it stand for 48 hours while the thing thaws. There is a class action suit I can join against Samsung, however it has been ongoing for the past 10 years and who knows when it will get resolved. Isn't that lovely. Supposedly once it thaws, plug it in and all is good to go till the next freeze over. OMG Shoot me now. So that information cost me 70.00 bucks. PSA....the repair guy said not to buy Samsung washers and dryers either. Major issues with those, especially front loaders. Samsung does make great electronics such as TVs, DVD players, etc., according to the repair guy. This morning's breakfast is unfrozen blackberries. hahahaha. Cup of decaf coffee and a huge glass of green iced tea. Good to go and dig into the monthly reports. Now I can add appliance repair and roofs to my Go Fund Me page...ba hahaha
LAURA...another offsite event? How do you get any work done?
HAPPY...please keep your snow up north. Our temps are expected to cool down this weekend into the upper 40's. We have been having high 60s and hit 70 a couple of times. It will be a let down for sure. How did you do on the radio auction? Get any good deals? Are we going to have ANY relief with these achy body parts. If you are like me, something hurts every day. Now I know how my momma felt the last 15 years of her life. Makes my heart hurt just remembering those days for her. My ankle hurts on a daily basis to a point when it doesn't hurt (rarely) I take notice and cherish the moment. My knee is hit or miss. Hurting less and less all the time except when it comes to stairs. And you doing PT on all your achy parts, hugs to you, my friend. Ok, enough complaining. Oh yeah all these electronics on cars make things safer and better. I agree with you, horse hockey. Remember the old cars made with steel/metal instead of plastic? Get in a wreck and everyone survived. No electronics there.
SUSIE...good for you putting AD in her place in a very nice way. Even tho you would of liked to just let go and beeeaacch her out. Way to hold your cool. And then she comes in all chatty Cathy on you. Probably afraid of what other "proof" items you may hold on her. Backstroking her way along. Reviews, yeah, I told my boss just make up some stuff as I am awesome everyday and even get my work done while having a heart attack. He just stared at me until I started laughing, then he laughed. I think he may have thought I was serious. I was serious, sorta, kinda.
CEEG...man, you all have had a lot of rain and for the plant to go into crazy mode too. I don't know how you do that job. Kudos to you, sister friend. Grass cutting, wow, we are about 2 mos out on that one. Not that I care as I am allergic to cut grass. Commune to the desert now? Maybe.
SHADDIE...good getting the kids on a budget. My kids won't listen to me at all. I try about twice a year to get serious with them on budgeting. No luck. Easier to dial up mom, but surprise, momma has said no the past few times (more DS than DD, she rarely even asks), don't have it, sorry. The phone is ringing less and less for $$. ODDU, seems to me you take more care of him than the owners. Or is it ODDU has you wrapped around his paw? lol.
CHELLE...get some sleep girl. Lack of sleep can play havoc on weight loss as well. You need to learn to say no to so many things. You cannot do it all and stay focused on you and what YOU need to be doing for YOU to stay OP and healthy. Bringing in MELLIE's rolling pin to whoop up on you.
Bout it for me kids...make it a wonderful Thursday/night.

Good morning all,
I have to go for a blood test this morning, check out the farmer's market (at the hospital so that's convenient) and go pick up my stuff from the radio auction - spent too much money but got some good deals. We got about 6 inches of heavy, wet snow so shoveling is the exercise of the day. Gotta go get ready so I'll have to come back later for personals. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you who are celebrating!
Morning
I'm still in my pj's. I slept late this morning.
I came home to a basket ball goal in my drive way. That means the grand kids next door must be home for Spring break. I dread this summer. I told my sister last night that I'm so ready to move. And told her that I double dog dare those kids if that ask me to move my car.
I'm not sure if I will go to Paragould this week end as I went last week end. I canceled a dermatologist appointment for this morning just because there was no reason to go back.
Weigh in was not good this morning. My eating has been way off limits and exercise has been little to nothing this week. I have been getting in my steps though.
I've had the air conditioner on this week but this morning I need the heat on to take the chill out of the house.
It's time to get dressed and get started for the day.
I'll be back later for comments
