DH and I are jumping through all the hoops for afib treatment. The plan right now is back on blood thinners, upped the other meds, (that they cut down the dosage when he went in May) to the level they were before.
He will have a EKG on Tuesday and will talk then to the doctor. The doctor plans to do another conversion.
His cardiologist told us from the beginning that there isn't a "cure" for afib, just procedures and meds to modify it (if they work) and then the blood thinner to protect the patient from a blood clot in the heart that would travel to the brain and cause a stroke.
I will do personals later but I want to give a shout out to Dee,
I am sorry you are feeling so badly. That can really overtake a person and distort our focus. The true way of seeing things is what Annie, Laura and others have said. We are here to support and be supportive. We don't expect lives, and feelings and health to not be perfect. We raise each other up, give love, encouragement, direction and look out for each other.
You and I have done this for each other when we were on that other thread and for me it is still the case.
These ladies here...they are the real deal! I love them. and that includes you!
and prayers, lots of prayers (and for Annie and her brother too!).
I'll be back over the weekend everyone.

Annie - Wow! C's sleep clinic room sounds much more posh than the room I was in. Granted, the room I was in had a very nice double bed that had an adjustable head and foot, and it also had WiFi and a nice TV with a DVD library (rather than cable TV). The bathrooms and shower are all shared with the other patients. He will probably want to shower in the morning as the stuff they use to stick the sensors on your head gets pretty goopy in the hair. Pod D probably is just his room number. Happy is right about all the wires they'll hook C up to for his study. Also, if C has to work the next day...and if he has to get up at oh dark early, he might want to mention that to the sleep clinic...they may want him to come in earlier to ensure they get enough hours of data. For my sleep study, I had to come in by 7 so they could hook me up to monitors. I went to sleep between 9:30 and 10, and they woke me up by 5:30.
Happy - Bummer that you've seen the last of the summer weather. I actually hope we have seen the last of the super hot days of summer. While I don't like the sun setting earlier, I am hopeful that the triple digit temps are behind us. I'd even settle for 90s, though Santa and I both prefer temps in the 70s and low 80s. Lots of wildfires happening out here in the west, and if we can get some cooler and less windy weather, that should help the firefighters get these fires more contained. Shame that you have to drive so far for such a short eye doc visit. I hope he can do something about the points of light and the dryness and itchyness. I hope the cortisone shot helps your DH, especially as the warm/damp weather turns to cold/damp weather. And I hope your neck and arm pain ease up too. I know you probably have your own plan of attack for the decluttering...but might I suggest doing the garage before it gets too cool and then focusing on the decluttering inside the house. As for my CPAP, I just got a call from the doctor. She confirmed what I suspected, that the first machine worked better for me. So she put in a prescription for it and I should get it within a week or two at the latest.
Susie - I hope the meds help with your DH's afib. What is a "conversion" that the doctor plans to do? Keeping your DH and you in my prayers.

Susie - I meant to say something the other day. I read an article online where they believe there is a link between food and water in plastic containers and arrhythmia. The term “arrhythmia” refers to any change in the normal sequence of electrical impulses that cause the heart to beat. The result is a heart that can beat too fast, too slow or erratically. Atrial fibrillation (or a-fib for short) is one of many forms of arrhythmia. During a-fib, the heart’s two small upper chambers (the atria) quiver instead of beating effectively. Blood isn’t pumped completely out of them, so it may pool and clot. If a piece of a blood clot in the atria leaves the heart and becomes lodged in an artery in the brain, a stroke results.
There is a big movement in getting away with plastic storage containers. Even at the thrift shop we have people coming in looking for glass storage because of this. The BPA & BSPA leaching into the food they are suspecting might be giving people heart issues. Something to think about. I am also trying to get away from plastic water bottles and the Ziploc storage containers myself. DH was also told the same thing about the afib and I think the possibility of it returning one day also has him a bit freaked out so I get how you feel.
Michelle - glad they got the ball rolling on the cpap. With no a/c I am sure you are looking forward to cooler weather. We only use ours about 10 days out of the entire year, but I'm glad we have it when we need it as the house really heats up. We would not be able to sleep either if it was so warm. I used to think of Wildfires in California but we have them too up here - especially this spring when things were so dry and I have to say - more than snow or hail or high windstorms - the idea of wildfires just freaks me out. A careless smoker, a hot ATV exhaust pipe, a bolt of lightning - so many things can set it off and you can't run from fire. Eek. And yes, I agree with you - my intent is to go through the garage first because that's the stuff I am most likely to be able to give away.
Afternoon all. Good flight home yesterday except for the seat hog next to me.
Just eating lunch now - was trying to get the budget stuff done. Boss is looking at it now. He was trying to have a vacation day tomorrow...not sure it's gonna happen.
Gonna catch up with all your posts! Be back tomorrow.
Happy ~ I just do videos until fall and then I'll go for walks again, Although yesterday it was in the 70's so I was able to go for a walk then.
Annie ~ Thanks, I think its a good plan also, I switched them around though, I do 40 mins during the day and 20 mins at night.
Ceejay52 ~ VB stands for Valerie Bertineilli, She's an actress with her own work out dvd.
Laura,Michelle & Susie ~ I did not have a good weigh in at the doctors, I gained 11 pounds in 2 months, So NOT Good

Good Evening Everybody,
I'm heading to bed in 2 hours, Its been a long day and I have to get up at 5:00 a.m. in the morning but I'll be able to take a nap tomorrow so I dont mind having to get up at 5 tomorrow morning. I'm not going anywhere until Sunday when we go do our weekly shopping. Monday is the first week I'll start going to school 3 days a week instead of but its only until Oct. 19th then I'll go back to going 2 days a week. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
TGIF..pass over<--not pay week, next week is good Friday<--- pay week. Had a nice text chat with HAPPY at 2 am this morning. I couldn't sleep and she had not been to bed yet. I did finally go to sleep at 4:30 but had to get up at 5:30. C was still in bed as he hurt his back yesterday delivering product. He was going to sleep in til 7:00, which means he won't get home tonight till about 7:30. Made stuffed chicken boobies for dinner, very tasty.
TERRA...what are you doing at school on the extra day?
LAURA...glad you are home safe and hopefully the boss is out today.
HAPPY...I read the same thing about the plastic containers. SUSIE...you might give that a shot and see if it helps. You are right HAPPY, no mints or match books at receptions anymore, and that was so easy. Now you actually have to be creative and make things. It can be fun if we get several of Sam's friends together. Hope DH get the best benefit out of the cortisone shot. I know they help my ankle and knee when I get them. You know, my dad had his eyes done and he had one eye that just gave him fits. Always itchy, dry, and said it felt like something was stuck in it. On the brighter side, momma had her eyes done and she had no problem with either of them. Crossing fingers you are like my momma's eyes.
Posting this cause I keep fat fingerig it and losing my post. Will continue next.
CHELLE...Wednesday is Cs day off, so he does not have to be up and out after the sleep study. Clinic said the testing would be done by 6 am anyway. I haven't told C about all the wire hook ups, afraid he would not go. lol. I will let him be surprised. He has his own shower in the suite, so he doesn't have to share with others.
SUSIE...continued prayers for DH and you also as I know how all of this can wear on your mind. Bright side, there is a treatment for afib, maybe not a cure, however DH is still with us. It is just a PIA to have to deal with it. Hugs to you and DH.
DEE...still in my thoughts and prayers and hoping you are having a good day today. Hugs.
Hello to all you lovely ladies. Make it a great Friday/night and weekend.
Lord, please bless these ladies and their families with great health. Amen
I almost didn't go to the gym this morning. I was so tired, despite going to bed early last night (around 9 pm). But I got to the gym and got a good workout. This evening, a friend of mine and I are going to see a local production of "West Side Story". I've already seen this production once, and it's an excellent cast...so I'm looking forward to seeing it again. Tomorrow, I've got The Color in Motion run first thing in the morning. Then it's home to take a shower, then to a baby shower for a good friend's daughter. Tomorrow night, I'm going to a concert of Arabic music with a friend of mine and her husband...it's not something I'm particularly interested in...but this woman is very kind. Sunday will be some housecleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and RELAXING with Santa.
============================
Happy - you're right about how easily fires can start when conditions are dry. We've had more thunder and lightning storms here...but sadly they're "dry" storms for the most part...dangerous lightning strikes without the benefit of a good soaking rain. I hope your doctor appointment went well. That article about the plastic containers concerns me. For the most park, I've stopped reheating in plastic, but I still use them to transport and store cold food.
Laura - I hope you aren't overwhelmed with a backlog of work after being out. That's the downside to taking a few days off from work. Will you have to go back to your mom's anytime soon to do more prep work for selling her house and moving her to IL ?
Terra - Bummer about the weight gain. That's over a pound a week gain, which is a lot. Are you tracking your food and watching your calories? I know you're exercising regularly...but I've learned over the years, that no amount of working out can make up for eating too many excess calories. I've also learned that if you limit your carbs to 30-40 per meal that can help you drop weight. A lot of us use MyFitnessPal and it's great because it has a huge database of foods, including chain restaurant foods. And if you know what restaurant you're going to, you can look up the foods BEFORE you go so you can make the healthiest choices. You just have to be REALLY honest about your portions. I am not trying to be a "hard-a**" or a beotch or anything, but consider this weigh in as not a chance to get down on yourself but as a reality check and a :buttkick: to figure out what habits you need to change. There's a saying that goes something like, "If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll see the results (good or bad) you've always seen. I haven't tried the Valerie workout DVD yet. I just checked out P90X from the library, and I want to give those DVDs a good tryout.
Annie - How cool that you and Happy were able to text chat in the wee hours. So good that C doesn't have to work after the sleep study!! You're probably smart to not tell him about all the hookups. So nice that he has a private shower. Still praying for your brother.
Susie - Praying for your DH too.
Dee - You're in my prayers as well. I hope you're doing at least a little better, but come here and post whether you are or aren't.
Ceejay - I hope your aunt does ok with her daughters this weekend and that there's no family tension. You've had a long, exhausting week, I don't blame you for not wanting to drive to Paragould.

Howdy chicks,
Pretty morning out there. Coolness in the air - needed an extra light blanket on the bed last night. Poor DH got up at 5am and went out in the dark chill to put the trash bins to the street and then we got a call 2 hours later that they delayed pick up until tomorrow. We have been going through this the last month or so because they are repairing the road where the trucks leave and I guess sometimes they can't get in or out. The problem is that we are the only people on our road who have garbage service (the others burn or take their trash to the dump) and often they forget to come by us when they reschedule. DH puts the trash out in the morning because of the bears. He is having a really bad day today and is Mr. Crank. I am trying to lay low. Yesterday my cousin's wife called me and invited me to a special show they had at the casino for VIP's. They tried to recreate a 1950's supper club / Frank Sinatra singer type of show. The food was outstanding and the show so - so. Neither of us were lucky enough to win any of the 6 $500 prizes at the end of the night. We stayed for a while and played and had a very fun girls night out. I went for my follow up with the eye doctor yesterday - he actually SAT there and answered all of my questions. I have one more week to go and then I can resume kitty litter box duty, can go on the ATV, and can WEAR EYE MAKEUP again I am not a bare faced person. I'm no Tammy Faye Baker but I do like some light makeup to cover the blotchiness of the skin tone and give me some eyes. I'm sort of interested if I will be able to see to apply mascara again I told the doctor I see rays of light from one eye when I look at a light at night. He said it's astigmatism (which I've never had before) and glasses will correct it. I went home and looked it up and astigmatism after cataract surgery is very common. It's just something that happens because of the stitches in the eye. If glasses can take the streaks away, I will be satisfied, otherwise it would compromise night driving. Looks like we are going to have a sunny but chilly autumn type day on our overnight trip next week. I guess the good news is that if it's going to be cooler, it will be less buggy. We are a little concerned about leaving the 2 cats alone overnight. The younger one has taken to being a little aggressive towards the older one. We have had to put her in timeout which is what the vets suggest. The older one will swat back - but generally she just tries to get away from her nutbag sister. I am determined to get focused and get some things done around here. Today DH intends to work outside which will give me no interruptions to clean up the living room, kitchen and dining areas. Maybe I can do some garage work tomorrow.
Michelle good for you for going to the gym. I'm sure you must feel like you are dragging without your CPAP. Good advice to Terra and all of us about the calories in and exercise out. I am also convinced after a lot of reading that it's also important to watch your foods and eliminate from your eating foods with high fructose corn syrup. I read a study that said you can't possibly exercise away the damage from that stuff in your food. That's nice you are going to the concert for your friend. It's good to be supportive when people want to share their cultures. I hope it is pleasantly surprising.
Ceejay - after 5 twelve hour shifts, maybe you need some down time instead of running around. Take a pass and have a Ceejay weekend to catch up and recharge the batteries. The relatives will have to understand.
Laura - glad to hear you made it home safely. Now to get settled in again. Looking forward to hearing about your week. Give me tips as one day I will have to deal with the same with my Mom including jars of junk in the garage!
Annie - yikes that is not enough sleep. One thing I have found in the past and this takes a while for it to kick in is to form certain habits that your brain associates with sleep. I have done the tense and relax exercise where you start with toes - tense and hold for 10 seconds and then relax. Then move to shins - tense and relax and move all the way up the body. This actually relaxes the entire body. Another is to take in a breath slowly to a count of 7 or 10 - depending on your lung capacity and then exhale for the same count. This is controlled breathing and also relaxes the body. As I said I had to do these for about a week straight before my body understood what I was trying to make it do. Also I find the biggest detriment to sleep is quieting your mind. You are either frustrated that you can't fall back asleep or just have the typical thousand things racing around in your head. It's very hard to just get totally quiet. A learned skill. You certainly aren't getting enough restful sleep. Must be that darned spreadsheet report Did you get any stuff out of your garden this year?
Terra - I will give you a gentle nudge like Michelle - why do you think you gained weight since your doctor's visit? I have found that weight gained back is 3 times harder to lose so maybe it's time to change things before it becomes a bigger gain? Often it's just too much eating out.
Susie - I hope you got DH calmed down.
Hi Shad, Dee
Ok, well it's lunch time and I am overdue for my eye drops. Need to get off the computer. Everyone have a good weekend.
Happy - Bummer about the trash non-pick up, and that your DH is having a bad day. Glad your eye doc answered your questions though. Yes, I do feel like I'm dragging without the CPAP machine. And I totally agree with you about high fructose corn syrup. Basically we should all limit any foods that have "ose" at the end. The fructose in fruit isn't horrible in moderation...but in fruit juice, which eliminates nearly all the fiber...it's practically pure sugar. I try and explain that to my roommate (D's brother) who primarily eats chocolate protein pudding, juice and pasta. Since diabetes runs in his family (and D has diabetes), he should eat differently....but you can't be the food police. People will make changes when they are ready. I had people policing my food for decades, but it wasn't until the dog mentioned the phrase wheelchair-bound that I woke up. I hope the little kitty can behave herself when you're away. Thanks for the falling asleep tips. I tend to play games on my phone to quiet my mind and fall asleep...which is what all the experts say to not do because the brightness from the screens can delay your body's sleep cycle.
I got through most of the budget work yesterday, but then I was running late for my train when I left the office, and then a block away I realized I’d forgotten my cell phone and had to go back. Aaargh.
But things are looking up!
My knee is fine today. (It was fine when I boarded the flight home on Wed. morning, but was sore when I deplaned. It was still a bit sore yesterday, but all that time I was glued to my desk yesterday was a good rest for it.
I’m relieved about my cell phone. The past few weeks it was acting weird – shutting down right after I’d powered it up, and then it got worse last week - just shutting down randomly. I’d downloaded an e-book and a couple podcasts before I left town last week and suddenly it was warning me about running out of storage. Turns out it was trying to install a system update of some sort. I must have been too quick on the draw in trying to restart my phone for it to ever go through, but last night It finally did, and now it seems fine. But we’ll see….
And I managed to lose a couple pounds when I was out of town, so that’s good. It’s interesting how the kitchen cupboards can be as full as they are at my mom’s place, and yet there’s nothing all that great to eat… Speaking of packed pantries…why?? My mom told me she had to toss out a couple jars of Nutella because the date was so old on them. And for a woman who no longer cooks, she sure has a lot of spices. And she could probably eat out of her pantry, fridge, and freezer for a solid month without running low!
There’s nothing too exciting to recap about my visit with mom, except maybe the day my flight arrived at the Springfield, MO airport last Thursday, so I’ll limit it to that.
Story #1: I waited around for mom to pick me up, and decided to wait an hour before calling the house, worrying all the while because she’s usually very prompt. (She has a cell phone on our plan (me and bf’s), but she doesn’t carry it with her and her car isn’t set up for hands free use anyway, and she sure doesn’t need any distractions while she’s driving!) Right at the hour mark, just as I was dialing her house, I get paged to go to the airport administrative office. Guy from a car dealership is phoning – the dealership is in a town 25 MILES north of the airport. He was calling for my mom, who missed the turn for the airport and just kept driving. Yes, she realized quickly that she’d missed the turnoff but by then she was on this rural road with a speed limit of 65 MPH but has very few exit and entrance ramps – just some intersections - most with no traffic signals - which she didn’t want to use because she didn’t want to have a hard time getting back on going back in the opposite direction, or getting lost. So she finally gets to a real exit ramp and stops at this car dealership. The manager offers to give her directions how to get back to the airport, but she’s too upset to drive back. Not upset like crying and shaking, but just determined not to drive on that road again (BTW – my mom won’t drive on highways; this road isn’t a real highway, but was enough like one that she wasn’t about to drive it again if she didn’t have to). So I take a taxi and $65 later, I’m at this dealership.
Story #2: After saying her goodbyes to a woman she was chatting with in the service waiting area, we get in the car to drive to her house. I put the key in the ignition, but it won’t turn. I wiggle the steering wheel – it moves freely, so it’s not locked up. And since that’s the full extent of my expertise with ignition problems, we go get help (good thing we’re at a dealership/service shop!). A few guys from the dealership/service area give it a go. They all ask if she ever had this problem (nope) and ask if she has another key, though they say her key doesn’t look worn or damaged. Nope, she doesn’t have one with her – it’s in her other bag, LOL. That exhausts their troubleshooting efforts. We’re told the option for the service area is to drill out the lock and replace it. But they couldn’t do it that day. So we’d either be facing an overnight stay in this town, or getting a loaner to drive home and back the next day. The 2nd option is to have a nearby locksmith the dealer works with come out and see what he can do. So this locksmith comes over and thankfully does his magic and shortly thereafter we are good to go. Well worth the $95 service call. Not sure why that happened, but he did say to wipe down your key if you keep it in your bag with tissue and other lint-y items. And he recommended lubricating the ignition switch with a dry type lubricating spray. Nothing sticky or oil-based that can gunk up your ignition and cause problems.
So, we weren’t off to the best start on this trip, but everyone was very nice and helpful, and thankfully the rest of my week there was uneventful.

Happy – We got a load of rain overnight Tuesday into Wednesday in MO. It was delightfully cool the next morning, if still a bit overcast and rainy. I hear it was rainy in Chicago while I was gone, but it was just gorgeous the past couple days, and today’s also beautiful. So sorry about hubby’s neck pain. I hope the cortisone is doing the job!! I have astigmatism in both eyes and my lenses correct for that, so there’s got to be hope for you. Well it’s good to know my parents aren’t the only ones with jars full of bits & pieces – I’m sure many of the Great Depression-era babies are that way. Maybe my fascination with the tiny home movement is a response to growing up in a home with the depression baby mindset. I hope you’re soon able to get out to your garage to get through the boxes. I’m not thrilled to only have a 1 car garage, but it sure limits how much clutter can accumulate. My tips for you are snarky ones – don’t accumulate so much, and choose good weather days to go out in the garage! It was hot outside and hotter in the garage, and get this - if my mom had her way (she didn’t though!), she would have left the overhead door closed because she probably was worried about nosy neighbors, LOL. Have plenty of boxes ready. Have charity organizations identified as recipients of unwanted items, and confirm what they will and will not accept. If there are specialty items, identify friends/family who might have the same interests and might want some items (e.g., my mom is giving some of my dad’s fishing gear to friends who fish). So next week is your rescheduled cruise (Lake Superior?)? Cool and dry and sounds like great weather to me – bring extra layers! Your girls night out sounded fun.
Michelle – I finally saw the photo you posted of the table like the one your dad made. Really awesome to have an heirloom like that – of course hang onto it! As for the rest of the stuff…like Happy, I wonder if the crafts were suited to your old life – more sedentary, and the long WI winters. You’ll figure it out. I’m glad the cpap machine is sorted out and hopefully on its way to you! So…have you gotten your new fingernail yet?? Re going back out to help my mom some more – yes, probably, as a move gets closer. There’s still a lot of uncertainty – including a place to move into!! Looks like you have a busy weekend – enjoy!
Susie – I hope the measures being taken will get your dh out of afib.
Terra – Yeh, what will you do with the 3rd day of school? Do you think not walking outside during the hot weather had an impact on your weight? But Michelle’s got it right about food being the bigger issue. Better choices, smaller portions. I know when I track my food, I know how it all adds up (all too quickly!) and that awareness makes a difference! I’m on myfitness pal if you want a buddy out there. I think my username is mfplaura.
Ceejay – I‘m sure you’re pooped after that long workweek. Get your rest! Best wishes for your aunt – how’s she doing?
Shad – Checkout chick, lol. I sometimes say my next job will be as a Wa!mart greeter, lol.
Annie – Did you take a half-day off yesterday? It sure was a nice one up here. Awww, bubbles and s’mores sound like fun favors for the wedding. Good to hear C is scheduled for the sleep study – find out what can help him get better rest at night (and you too!). You need to get your son in to get checked for diabetes – if he’s got an issue, he needs to get it treated before the damage is done. Having worked with our admin who has advanced renal disease, has made me so very aware of the way diabetes effects the body.
---
That’s it for me, gotta get this posted because I’m leaving early today. My friend’s annual industry event is today – a Lake Michigan cruise – and I’m going as her guest again. What a great day for it! I’m close enough to hop on the bus to get to Navy Pier where it sails from. She’s driving in from the far NW suburbs and afterwards we'll drive back to my house and she’ll spend the night there.
Tomorrow night we're seeing the band Chicago play in concert at Ravinia.
Laura - OMG! What an "adventure" your first day with mom turned out to be! Thankfully, by the time my mom was like that, she was no longer driving, and my step-mom hasn't gotten that bad yet. My step-mom has been giving away a lot of my dad's things and some of hers...but she still has A LOT. It will be a lot to go through when the time comes. You and Happy are right....the crafting was more suited to my very sedentary life in Wisconsin where winters lasted 6 months instead of 6 days. Here we get a rare rainstorm...but not enough to keep people indoors for weeks on end. Basically the only thing that changes here in the "winter" is you have to wear a light jacket in the morning and at night, and also when the sun starts setting earlier, I won't be taking Santa to the dog park during the week (only on the weekends). So I'll just hit the gym on the way home from work and take Santa for a walk (or two) after that. Yes, I do have a nice new full set of fingernails. No more oxygen sensors for hopefully a good long while! Have a wonderful time seeing Chicago at Ravinia. That's someplace I always wanted to see a concert when I lived in WI. Maybe in 2016 or 2017, I can make it out to the midwest and a bunch of us can go to a concert at Ravinia. Have a fun time on the Lake Michigan cruise!
Annie - I agree with Laura, please encourage your son to get checked for diabetes and on medication if necessary. There are so many horrible complications that can come from unmanaged blood sugar (renal failure, blindness, foot infections/ulcers, wounds that don't heal, etc.). It would be best for him to know for sure if he has diabetes or pre-diabetes so he can get things under control. My sister had diabetes for many years and though she took medication, she didn't always eat/drink the right things...now she has renal disease. Sorry, sister. I don't mean to give you anything more to stress out about.
Annie & Laura ~ I'm joining a group called Discovery Group, Its group where you can learn everything you need to know about going to work, Resumes, etc...I wish it lasted longer then an hour and 1/2 but I think I'll still learn alot out of that hour and 1/2 so I'm gonna go.
Michelle ~ Yeah I'm still logging my food but I probably have been eating above my calorie limit so I have to try to really work at it.
Happy ~ Like I told Michelle I've probably been eating above my calorie limit and thats where my weight gain probably came from cause most of the time I only eat out twice a week. I dont think thats that much...Do you?
Laura ~ No I dont think not walking outside during the summer had anything to do with my weight gain cause I still worked out inside with a dvd. I pretty sure my weight gain came from eating above my calories, I need to try harder on my portion control and eating at or under my calorie limit.
Hi Everyone. We have the most beautiful weather her in Ohio since Friday. I haven't been out in it much as Annie's "chiggers" made their way from IN to OH and now I am covered in them! I think I got them at the reunion last weekend.
My cousin had mowed down a lot he has so we could all park there and I think it stirred them up. I have about 25 of them. On my legs, ankles and a few around my writs. I thought I would go crazy at the beginning of the week with them but I have been "doctoring" them with cool baths, calamine lotion that I can spray on. Clean finger nail polish and staying indoors or on concrete.
DH took one of our nieces for a day out with Uncle John. He does this every summer. They went to the mall and looked at athletic shoes and other sports apparel. This is the niece that is the most looking "girly girl" and she loves sports!! I keep telling her she will be the next Erin Andrews some day.
Then then went to the Rootbeer stand and had lunch. Then to a local park to play some basketball and then ice cream after that.
While he was gone I did some deep cleaning in each room. I have the workout room to clean today after church.
I had a 1lb loss at TOPS this past Thursday. I haven't been on the bike and I haven't logged my food for 3 days...I better get back to it, starting today!
Michelle: how as the run? The rest of your weekend sounds fun!
Happy: Thanks for the info on the plastic containers. I think we will start to eliminate them. It can't hurt.
I am like you about the eye makeup and foundation. You won't catch me out and about without it!
Laura: Oh my! That "adventure" had me laughing. How was the concert with "Chicago". I saw on MFP that you had a loss while you were visiting with your mom and all that cleaning out. That was a very positive thing!!
Terra: Sorry to hear about the gain at the doctor. Let's look on the positive side of it--you now know where you are at in this and what you need to get back to doing. Start with logging your food. Do you use My Fitness Pal to do that?
Ceejay: After the work week/hours you just did, you made a good decision to stay home and relax and rest.
Annie: Good idea to not tell C about the wires. Sometimes, our men just need to be surprised and deal with it!
Hi Dee! Still praying and sending you love and hugs. Miss seeing you here.
