Morning all. TGIF! Today is my 20 year service anniversary at work. I’d already received my service award in the mail (you get to choose a gift card/cards). I think I want to use at least part of it to get a gift card to a good seafood restaurant in our area. (Happy - it's Bob Chinn's in Wheeling.)
Annie – Sounds like the burger place was alright, but not special enough to draw you back as a repeat customer. LOL re the exercise class instructor needing to eat a burger! She has that very lean look in her face and I just know she must eat an ultra lowfat diet. And she has no bosom. I think she must participate in competitive weightlifting or something. When do you expect the results of C’s sleep study? He sounds like he needs a cpap for sure! When my friend got hers, she said her energy level went through the roof compared to pre-cpap. What a nice avatar photo of you – so are you out in the Wild Wild West??

Good job on the walking!!
Dee – Like the avatar photo. I think your hair’s great – looks like it has a lot of natural body and wave.

What does your hair do when it’s shorter? I swear, even when I only get an inch cut off, it seems like for the next few days my hair acts likes it’s gotten lighter by a ton and has an extra bit of curl to it. I have no idea what it would do if I cut it into a bob. And I honestly wouldn’t want to work against it and always be forced to blow dry it into the style the cut was intended for. That said, it’s not curly, just wavy, so it doesn’t take much blow drying to make it straighter and smoother, and when it’s long, the weight of it does straighten it to a certain extent. LOL re the skunk smell that wasn’t really skunk.

Unfortunately in the past we’ve had very strong skunk smells on our property and it not only has the typical skunk smell, but a somewhat metallic smell and it’s just awful. I hope you have a wonderful time with your grandbabies this weekend, and spending it by the lake sounds just fantastic!!! Oh, hope you’re enjoying that massage!!!
Ceejay – I’m glad you spoiled yourself yesterday for your b-day. Big milestone for you and big changes to come in the next year, huh? Hope you have a wonderful year!!

Glad things are better with the hair! Yeh, the rotisserie chicken is seasoned/injected with something that has a lot of sodium in it.
Happy – Your getaway sounds wonderful. It’s great to get away and kind of nice not to be barraged with all sorts of activities you can do, just nice to enjoy the natural beauty. Too bad you couldn’t do much hiking, but it sounds like you did plenty of exploring as it was. I wouldn’t like the ferry where you couldn’t get out of the car and walk around! At least it wasn’t a very long trip. What island did you visit? Wait, just checked FB and saw your posts. Just beautiful. Sounds like the lodging was more than satisfactory -–especially with a lovely view of the water.
Terra – Will you do paratransit next year, or will you decide when January comes? Have a good day!!
Hellos to Shad and Susie and Michelle!!

Yesterday afternoon the very tops of my quads got really sore – it was from an ab exercise I did at Wednesday’s exercise class that I knew while I was doing it that I wasn’t feeling it enough in my abs and that it was working my legs more than my abs. Grrrr. Anyway, I’ve never had soreness in this spot and it’s really odd, and not an easy area to stretch. I’m still very sore today and it’s really uncomfortable moving around after I’ve been sitting for a bit. It would just be easier if I could walk around all day and let my muscles stay warm. Maybe it’s time I finally buy some of that cream/lotion/gel that eases the soreness. Ladies, if you use any of this stuff, what brand(s) do you like, and does it stink??
I did the yoga class and it was fine. The instructor seems experienced at doing yoga, but is probably a newbie at yoga instruction, but she was still effective. It’s an odd class – sort of a bunch of poses put together, but not a lot of flow to it. Not a biggie. I rarely get home from work early enough to take 6:00 classes, so I don’t expect to go to that class again anytime soon.
My cell phone is crapping out on me. It charges, but won’t hold the charge. I was at 65% on the train while listening to a podcast, but when I got on the internet, it just went dead within 5 minutes. I’ll have to get to the ATT store over the weekend, and it’ll be a PITA. I hope this is a fixable thing. I really don’t think a phone should be kaput after 2 years, even if it is considered obsolete by now. I don’t want a new phone and have to worry about my photos and contact info getting transferred over, as well as calendar info, etc. Yup, it’ll be a PITA. Stop whining Laura.
Nothing planned tonight. Tomorrow is a hair appointment, and then a cookout at a friend’s place in the evening. Probably won’t do any exercise classes today, tomorrow or Sunday. Heck, I’ll be lucky if this soreness goes away by Monday in time for my Pilates class, hahaha.
Okay, enough rambling. Time to post.
