Hugs, prayers and good vibes being sent your way. Let us know how we can help |
Happy - Yes, I have to appear in court on Feb. 15th for the divorce hearing. If I don't, I won't be there to answer any questions the judge may have of me. Plus, there is still the matter of the lease that I signed so I could rent this fabulous place. Every place I looked at was requiring a lease. Basically, if I leave before the lease is up in August/September, which I may do anyway, I have to pay the rent on this place until they get a renter. Anyway, I'm not thinking about that right now...first step, get income...hopefully I'll have a job offer at my meeting tomorrow. As I said, the pay was good at this job.
Annie and Ceejay - Thanks for all the prayers, hugs and good vibes. I love all my Worldly Sisters!! I'm so grateful you're in my life. Many hugs, |
Michelle - Saying prayers for you & sending good vibes that your interview goes well tomorrow. I think it's great that they've kept in touch in with you & I hope it's a sign they'll welcome you back tomorrow.:hug::hug::goodvibes:goodvibes:goodluck:: goodluck:

Hi ladies -
Just a quick post to let you all know that I got my old job back! :woohoo: :cheer: I really liked the people there, and they're happy to have me back. :) (Just to clarify, this is the job I had for a few weeks in between leaving Kohl's and starting at the hospital system.) I start on Monday. I wanted to start today so I wouldn't have to miss any days of pay...but Monday is fine. I'll get to relax a bit and sort through some of my boxes a bit. I'm thrilled that I have income again so I don't have to move to CA before Spring. :yes: I'll post more later this afternoon or evening. Thanks for all your prayers, support, encouragement and love. Much love and many hugs, |
Congrats Chelle..Yah!!
|
Whoohoo Michelle!! :woohoo::woohoo:
I'm sooooo happy to hear that good news!! :) :carrot: === Had a meeting that ran long, and I have a webinar coming up at 1:00, so I'm going to grab some lunch now before it begins (have to run out and get something, didn't bring anything from home today). Back later. P.S - Michelle - Funny to see you say you're thrilled to not have to move to CA before spring - makes it sound like you really enjoy the winters in WI, LOL. (I know, it's really the lease situation.) |
Michelle
I'm so excited for you. Take the day off and pamper yourself. ------- Still no winter precipitation. My bil posted on fb that it was snowing in Dallas. I'd been debating on keeping my doctor here or the one in Jonesboro As of this morning the one in Jonesboro has won out. My doctor here is returning to Twiawan to visit with his 93 year old father who has been extremely ill for some time now. More later it's time to back wash a filter. |
MIA again, sorry
Congrats Michelle. Gotta run. Weekends coming. Maybe I'll have time to catch up then. Meantime live well, laugh often and dance like there is no tomorrow. |
Well, now that I'm back, I realize I don't have much to report.
Bf reported that after our socializing on Saturday, his nose ran all day Sunday and he had some congestion in his throat, but he felt okay yesterday. On the flip side, I felt okay Sunday, but yesterday afternoon at work, I began to have congestion in my throat, but not really any nasal congestion. This is the same way that last illness I had started, the one that made me cough and cough for what felt like forever. I sure hope this isn't the same thing! I feel kind of lousy right now, and have some aches in my shoulders. I'm out of Aleve at the moment, so I'm taking ibuprofen a few times a day. This too shall pass. I'm supposed to go to see the movie Django Unchained tonight. I'm not coughing much at this stage, so I figure I can sit on my arse in a theater for a couple hours. That's it for me. TTFN. |
Good health to all and loves. Don't feel much like posting. C is sick with a cold and working his arse off. Mentally, I am dealing with everything, here and there. I have shipped so much stuff at work back to IT and storage, my hands have permanant tape sticky...lol. Hating work more and more.
love and hugs |
Hi all,
The day got away from me. Had a nice night Monday. A lady I met at the Humane Society invited me to her house with a bunch of friends for a girl's night get together. She has an amazing house on the lake and every square inch of wall space is filled with artwork of all shapes and sizes and media. She has 4 dogs and a cat - can you tell she's a big supporter of the Humane Society? We had a nice evening. The ladies were nice and tried to draw me into the conversation (I am VERY shy around social settings even though I talk my face off at the store). I really enjoyed myself. Played the game Apples to Apples for the first time. It was alot of fun and I actually won the game. *ringer, ringer* ;) One of the ladies drove me home and told me about her passions - she is involved in our local live theater group and she organized a group of ladies who meet on Tuesdays each and every week and do outdoor things - kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing - no matter what the weather. Then they gather for lunch. There are several options to meet people - one of the nice things here - they realize there are new people coming in and try to find ways to get them integrated into the community and meet folks. Today I did some housework but mostly spent the day on a few phone calls and talking with DH about his options for his palpitations. Since he did not want the invasive ablation, they suggested another medicine which, because it can cause different palpitations - requires a minimum 3 day hospital stay in which they monitor you closely for an adverse reaction. Makes sticking a catherer up your leg and punching a hole in your heart to zap some wild heart muscle a walk in the park, eh? :yikes: He is not sure what he wants to do. We talked about it and he did some research on his own. I think we'll talk more yet. And before I knew it the day was over. It is nice being off, I must say. I made chicken fajitas for dinner, picked up 2 magazines with some good looking recipes in them. Have to make some nice soups. Next week we are in for a frigidly cold spell for a few days. I have to go to the podiatrist on Monday where they are predicting a high temperature of minus 6 degrees. That is going to make for a darn chilly house here with our large windows and high ceilings. Still no snow to speak of - people are talking about how they can't remember being this far into January without a decent snow cover. Our neighbor spread straw on the pipes leading from the house to the sewer line but we are getting gusty winds like tonight so I don't really see what good that will do except scare the turkeys when it blows past. Annie - God love you, sounds like you are handling the office move all by yourself. Use some good handcream, those boxes and tape can make a mess of your hands. We're sending you good thoughts. Laura - hope you don't get sick. How did you like the movie? Shad - you sound busy again. Make sure you bury the bodies ;) Ceejay - weather looks horrid down your way. Hope you are not slip sliding away. Is that good or bad with changing doctors? My Mom's doctor is in sort of the same boat - his elderly father in India is very sickly and with all the red tape the poor doctor is encountering with medicare - most of his patients he has taken care of for 20 to 30 years - he is considering giving up his practice which would devistate my Mom. Go with your gut decision - whomever you think is giving you the best care. Michelle - that's good that the company gave you a second chance. They have done you a huge favor, hopefully you can pay them back in kind. Mel - how nice that you gave Jen the art supplies. I do understand about wishing you had the money instead but I'm sure she will really enjoy them. What a nice surprise! I know you are trying to lose some weight but if you are reducing the bloat and dropping inches, don't forget to count the all important NSVs! Congratulations - it sounds like your way of eating is working for you. It's especially hard to drop pounds when it's still cold out. Just keep doing what you are doing - each day you stay on plan is a victory in itself. :hug: It's cold and dark and windy outside and something is going bump in the night. Hope I can get to sleep. Have a good night all. |
