My sweet DD had to go to work, but she stopped by w/ a Chicken Caesar Salad & a banana so that I wouldn't have to strain my poor achin' noggin by going to get lunch. Wasn't that nice? She takes after her mother.
Kiwi, I think GP is the company that owns a mill in eastern Oregon that our friends work at. It shuts down every spring, until they're just about starving, then when they almost give up and find other employment, they call them back. It happens almost every year. Unfortunately, they're the only game in their little town.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm---pulp and paper towns-----that is my town in a nutshell----without the mill,we would disappear---oh i forgot---mill owner runs a giant oil refinery as well-----must smell great here,eh????? ----- step dd's are still here from Colorado,so computer time is very limited====CAN YOU IMAGINE SIX KIDS WHO LIKE TO "MSN" DESCENDING ON YOUR COMPUTER????JUST PICTURE IT--- i will be back in full force next week-----KIWI DID YOU GET MY EMAIL ABOUT THE PHISH CONCERT?????? I NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN SEND A BUNCH OF TEENAGERS TO LIMESTONE????? kiwi won't answer my email, everybody!!! {whinnnnnnnnnnnnnneee] someone make her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bagzie-dear, are you using the right address???? I'll send you an email and you can reply.
You have such a sweet DD, Wabbit. Of course she must take after you. How's the ol' head? Yeah, that's the same co. that enjoys gobbling up mills in Maine and spitting them out.
Everybody has to go get a Mormon name, it's a hoot -- The link is here in my diaryland page . To convince you, here's mine: Kaltighanna Starbuck -- what's not to love?
Going to hot doings in small towns today: Dd's guitar teacher and her friends are singing at some expo. Rumor is that one of their songs involves flannel shirts and suspenders and refers to Wild Women. Then we are going to Chicago (finally) and out to dinner, possibly staying overnight in the "big city" since it is snowing right now and will no doubt be too messy to come home tonight. Oy.
Bagzie! My brother (the one not called Marty) and his wife are thinking of moving to Nova Scotia. Is it cheap there? They've gone to check out jobs and houses. Guess you'll be able to wave to each other across the Bay of Fundy, eh?
I did post my name. I posted first thing this morning. WHERE IS MY POST????
Ok. Me: Bergetta Busbyberkly Jukebox-Jezabel
Me if male: Brittyn Davenport Shore
DS: Cache Davenport Shore
DS if he were DD:Armachian Busbyberkly Jukebox-Jezabel
So the last name you get depends on your gender. Weird.
Now, here's the poll I put in this morning: If you donated books in excellent condition to a library for their sale to raise money and found the books had been BEFORE THE SALE taken to a used bookstore and traded in. The credit is on a card which they can redeem for other used books. Would you:
Think, "I'll never trust a charity again."
Think, "I could have traded in the books for credit for myself."
Think, "I gave them the books and they can do what they want with them."
Think, "They were wasteful to trade them in and lose part of the value."
BTW, this is Peaches in Mormonese "Patches." Kiwi is "Kamicia." Wabby is "Debbilyn." Sugar is "Sugarlee." Bagz is "SeaBreaze." Cherry is "Cherisy." MiaMoo is "Miracles Precious One." Lush is "Bonquisha." Stick-figure Letty is "Labretta." And adorable Marcella is "Bardella."
i will take Seabreeze and i pick number two====could have got the cash meself, there,"patches"{patches,i depended on ya son,to pull the family thorugh.my son it's all left up toooooooo youuuuuuuuuuuuuu}----Sugarlee!!!!-----nOva ScOtia is cheaper than BC,more expensive {housing wise,in Halifax} than NB-----food and whatnot is cheaper here than anywhere in Canada [cheaper than Maine as well!!!!} WHERE has Bonquisha been hiding=====i LOVE the new names!!!! Kamicia is out partying tonight====Cherisy is excersising-----Debbilyn is playing Bunco and i am going to BED-----put yer clocks ahead!!!!
I found out that if you capitalize your name, it comes out quite differently than if you use all small letters.
I love DD's name: Josephinie Miracles Precious One -- but if I capitalize her name, it comes out a relatively ordinary Zephanie Charlesye.
I told you it was addictive. I'm fooling around with all names trying to get the best ones. DH is now Dartanyon Jocoby. Too bad he wasn't born a girl, then he could be Thankful Flood Miracles Precious One. Now there's a name!
I'm deciding between Acia Danai Miracles Precious One, Brindie-Jade Miracles Precious One, Kierika Charlesye, and the ever-popular Kaltighanna Starbuck.
I'm torn, Patches, dear. I would have to wonder why the library would want a credit at the used book store??? Don't they usually buy new books? Yeah, if you have to think about it all, I'd say you could have traded them in yourself. On the other hand, you could add a 5th thought: "Thank goodness I got rid of all that crap--now I don't have to think about them ever again" I'm not sure it will work, but it's worth a try.
It is winter again here: we drove about an hour and a half in the driving snow this afternoon, visited this tourism expo, listened the very entertaining musical group, drove another hour in the driving snow, had drinks and old home week with some friends, went out to dinner to Appleby's (where I was surprised to find good food and good service -- ain't always been so), went back to their house and decided to head home. It wasn't snowing anymore or hardly any, but the roads were messy and it was slow. I drove home (because I said I would and so DH had a good bit of wine) and had a stomache-ache by the time I pulled in the driveway 2+ hours later. Long day. But fun.
We ended up with about 5 inches of snow (so far). DH will probably have to put the plow back on the truck
It didn't happen to me, Kalti, but it did happen and the books were pristine. I'm curious about how your dds name and MiaMoo's name are the same. Suspicious isn't it?
Yes, you're right, I've been wondering about that. Hmm.
It would make a difference to me that the books were in perfect condition. This wasn't just a general donation to the library, right? It was especially for the book sale. Seems to me that a library book sale is a two-way street--the library gets some extra funds, the public gets to buy a bunch of books at a low price. Library didn't do their part.
is "the public" a plural noun?
Brindi-Jade
Actually Brindi-Jade would write this message more like this:
Hi y'all. I swear that was just coincidink that DDs name is the same as MiaMoos!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA
You're poor friend, Peachie honey, did she get upset with them at the liberry? She must be an angel given away all her nice books.
How do you spell public?
Love, Brindie-Jade
P.S. It's still snowing here! Wow, it's like winter again! Deja Voo all over again!!
P.S.S Where all is everybody? I got a new thong I want to talk about!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!
Hey Brindeeee---yer losin' it----kiwi---did you get the braggy brag picture of dd that was in the newspaper---i can't figure out why you wouldn't have my email as i sent it to the same address that you just wrote to me.............................

Very impressive, m'dear. (I toned down the size a tad) How are you concocting these delightful tints? I'm reading about rgb values and HEX values, and I doubt I have the patience to come up with my own. I like to go through a list of colornames I have from a website and pick one.
