Hey ladies hope all is well!!! I am starting to make more progress I went for a jog/walk last night today I wi at 227.8 hoping to hit my august goal of 225 month end!

Imannott 08-18-2011 10:18 PM

Hi everyone,

@matilda08 congratulations on moving closer to your goal. I am determine to exercise every other day. Exercise seems to be really helping. I was doing good on the paleo diet but I am thinking of switching to just calorie counting. I keep coming in under 1,000 calories when I count and use paleo woe.

A Nu Me 08-19-2011 12:44 AM

Need to revamp my plan Starting on Monday I will be eating only fruits & veggies.
for 10 days straight. I will add beans & brown rice for dinner.

beaka 08-19-2011 01:22 AM

So glad to come back to new posts!!!! The start of the 10K program was good. I had to run 4 miles! I stopped at the 2 mile mark for water and then at mile 3 to walk for two minutes. We're running again Saturday morning.

Matilda: I remember really starting to feel leaner when I was running last year, so I'm trying to keep at it.

Imannott: Good job with finding a plan, but be careful with the less than 1000. I think most people here recommend not going below 1200 (unless you're supershort) because your body can go into starvation mode and start holding onto weight. I really like calorie counting, and I just switched to using MyFitnessPal to track. I LOVE IT!!!! It makes it so easy and is free. I log in online and use the phone app.

A Nu Me: good luck with that! I've been thinking about detoxing a few days a month until I reach my goal. I like using Phase 1 of the Fat Smash diet as a guide.

Hi Ladies,

Welcome LGW!

@Beeka good job on the running. I'm on myfitnesspal also! That's how I knew I was getting below 1000 calories. I thought I was eating enough and then I started tracking through that and I was like wow I am coming in to low.

I am really upset that I went on a binge last night and eat all the wrong foods: chips, fried chicken, potatoes and I gained back 2lbs :( ! I do this all the time. I start out good and then bam. I had worked out and was feeling really hungry and I just ran with it.

Well this morning I got right back on track! Visiting here has helped.

Imannott 08-22-2011 10:24 AM

Okay,

I got back on track over the weekend which really good for me. The weekends are my most tiring time. I am holding at 233. I did a Pilates work-out that I thought wasn't that great but my abs are sore today. So I am going to keep at it.

Talk to you guys later.

@beaka, I'm always pleased to 'meet' people who live so near!

Do any of you do 'alternative' workouts? I get bored with running/walking/gym time, so I signed up for an Aqua Zumba class and I'm starting to swim.

I made a list of classes that seem to interest me:

Ice Skating
Boxing/Kickboxing
Bellydancing
Rowing
Pilates
Barre
Pole Dancing
Parkour

Have any of you tried any of these?
