Hello all!

Michelle - Hope you didn't have to work too much today!

Annie - Too funny about the dawn in the dishwasher!! All those suds must have been funny to see.

Shad - Congrats to ds2 on getting the apprenticeship spot. Hope you're enjoying the bbq!

Happy - Wow, that's pretty far in advance to make hair appts!! But it really says something about the quality of the stylist, doesn't it? Nice avatar.

Mel - Sorry work was just work and not pleasant and fun. But it's called work for a reason, and that's why they have to pay people to do it... Glad you didn't have to deal w/ the meeting Thurs night. Ooh, look at the avatar!!

My friend left about 90 min. ago. We had a wonderful time. I'm happy to say she's doing pretty well after the loss of her husband. She told us she recently completed a 6-week group grief program and it really helped her, and now she's made some good friends that are in the same boat to whom she can turn for support. She's spent a lot of her adult life busy with work, school and a husband and mother who needed medical assistance. She hadn't been socializing much outside her family, especially the past several years, so she's started reaching out now and reconnecting with people. It's good to hear that.

Nothing much planned for the rest of the weekend. The weather tomorrow will decide what I do - stay inside or do some yardwork. Well, I'm actually in dire need of some new shoes for work, so there's also the shopping that I keep putting off.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends ladies!

Good Evening My Dear Sweet Friends...........

Awaiting the arrival of Bo Hick. Yes we are going out tonight. He should arrive around 8 or 8:30, since he is coming from souther Indiana about a 2 hour drive. Wow makes me feel special. We are going to a place call Mucky Ducks. Restaurant/Pub/Pool place. It should be fun. It is a new place here in Indy. It is too bad he doesn't live closer and I could look at him more than a friend and good time.....lol

Today started out at 5 am. Was at the car place at 7:30, the car needed aligned and a bolt thingy to adjust the cam thingy....45 minutes later and 90 bucks out of my pocket, I was back on the road. The car does drive better and praise the Lord that was all it was.....altho the ABS light came on once and went back off, hopefully it was a fluke and nothing more. I replace the ABS crap on a previous car and it ran me like 800 bucks. YIKES, scary thought.

Then went and picked up brother to take him to get a rental moving truck. Then went to his office and loaded boxes of crap for a trade show that he and another VP is driving to in Portland Oregon. If you look at a map....Indy to Portland is like a billion miles and takes days. What a way to spend my day off. Big brother did take me to lunch at a great steak place, for me to order rattlesnake bites...stuffed jalapenos and a salad. Quite yum. Then spent the remainder of the afternoon at dads. Took him his CVS brand of Miralax..stool softner. He was please to get it, funny.... Took my leftovers of lunch over to DDs house then came home, took a nap, shower and waiting on Bo Hick. Shu weeeeee, what a day, maybe a day working at CVS wouldn't of been too bad. lol

We did have a girl quit at CVS, but I am thinking they are in no big hurry to replace her. We actually have enough people without her. She was useless anyway. Didn't get the concept of get it done and get it done now, just kind of doddled.

Shadddddddddddd.....congrats to DS on the apprenticeship...cheers...I may have a cocktail in his honor, ok, I will have a cocktail in his honor. Hope you get all your stuffsssss done around the house.

Chelle....glad you got all your siggies and got the H outta work before they could detain you again. Man take a mad dash and get outta that place. Enjoy your weekend. Relax and recoup, cause once you are feeling up to par, YOU WILL HIT IT HARD AND LOSE THIS WEIGHT. I am tired of talking about it, lash lash with the wet noodle, get on that horse and ride. Get it?? I know I can preach a great story and should listen to myself as I STILL need to lose this 10-15 lbs that I have needed to lose all YEAR long. This is enough of wasted time sista, two years residing at the same place has got to stop.....dang it anyways.

Mellie...work work work, go away and don't ever come back, any day! and a big BOOOOOOO to you my sista friend. Looks like I am working 11-7 on Halloween. I really don't care, no little ones in my house. By the time I get home it will all be over. So no candy of any kind coming into this house. You too, get with the program and lose this weight, BullSH*T, we have need to lose the same weight the past two years or more, and I say WE...enough is enough.

Laura...ok...maybe a year of having to lose the same weight...but who cares, this is rediculous...let's do it, this is nuts, we sure can make the great excuses why not or this celebration or that one, or a meeting, or just anything to eat...d*mn let us stop this nonsense and get slim....

Ceejay....hope the vacay is going splendidly and you are not letting work interfere. Do NOT answer that d*mn phone. ENJOY!!!

Well as if you could not tell it, I am full of CHIT tonight. I am so disappointed with myself and being at that same point now as in January with how much I have NOT lost. Of course, I am being hard on you all too, cause I am taking you all down with me. This is just nuts, we are ALL stonger than this weight we need to lose. Why are we letting it rule us and win. This, too, we shall overcome....come on girls, lets help each other do it, we need to be strickter with ourselves and each other.

Ok, enough preaching as I am just p*ssed at myself for letting an entire year, two years go by and not succeeding.

We need to ROCK...and MOVE...and be OP....

If I have offended anyone, I apologize....as you know I loves yas and only want the best for us.

Much much love and many many hugs.

WE'RE GONNA HAVE A HEAT WAVE AGAIN!! GONNA BE IN THE 60'S & 70'S FOR A FEW DAYS BUT WITH RAIN TOO. TIME TO TURN OFF THE HEAT AGAIN.
JEN AND I SPENT THE DAY JUST CHATTING AND DREAMING. WE AGREED TO SLAP $600 DOWN ON THE CREDIT CARD. ONLY $3200 MORE TO GO. I'LL SAVE YOU FROM KNOWING THE INTEREST RATE.
I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO SHARE THIS MORNING YOU LUCKY PEOPLE.
HAVE A SUPER DAY :

LAURA...OMG...I LOVE SNOOPY!! CRACKED ME UP THIS MORNING. LITTLE THINGS AMUSE ME SHOPPING...NOW THERE'S A JOB I WOULD LOVE!! I AM VERY GLAD TO HEAR ABOUT THE FRIEND AND THE GRIEF PROGRAM. SO HAPPY TO HEAR IT WORKED OUT FOR HER. HOPE SHE KEEPS RIGHT ON REACHING OUT.

ANNIE...BO HICK!! BUT I HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD TIME. GOOD OF YOU TO HELP THE BRO LIKE THAT. HOPE THEY HAVE A SAFE TRIP. HAD A LAUGH AT DAD AND HIS "MIRALAX".

***SOMEHOW I LOST PART OF MY COPY AND PASTE TO ANNIE...IT WAS ABOUT WEIGHTLOSS. I HAVE BEEN FAIRLY VIGILANT ABOUT BEING OP SINCE 2003. I WAS OVER 210 LBS. MY CALORIES CAN'T GO ANY LOWER THAN THEY ALREAD ARE (1000-1100.) YES THERE WERE SOME BAD CHOICES IN THERE BUT WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO MOVE AND THE BODY MAKING FAT TO FILL THE SPACE LEFT BY WASTING MUSCLE, THE DRS ARE AT A LOSS AS TO WHAT TO TELL ME TO TRY NEXT. I JUST WAS HOPING I COULD FOOL THEM AGAIN LIKE I DID WHEN I LOST THE 30 LBS. THEY WERE SHOCKED TO SEE ME 7 YRS AGO. YOU WOULD HAVE LOVED THEIR FACES ANNIE!! FLOORED!!!
I HEAR EVERY WORD YOU'RE SAYING AND YOU'RE RIGHT. A PERSON NEEDS TO EITHER WANT IT OR NOT. POUNDS DO NOT FALL OFF BY THEMSELVES. IT TAKES DEDICATION AND PLANNING.
OF COURSE THERE'S NO OFFENSE TAKEN MF DON'T BE SILLY!!! LOL

Good Day All Ya'll.....

Shad, Shad, Shad.....I cleaned out the closet, even vacuumed it. Got two bags of goodies for Goodwill. and a trash bag full of throw aways. You can actually walk in to the closet. As soon as I get my shower, I am headin' to Goodwill for drop off.

While cleaning out the closet I had the tube on in my bedroom watching The Road to Tarbithia. I forgot what a good movies it was, a little far fetched but not too much. You all should rent it if you havin't seen it yet. It has been out for quite some time.

So for breakfast I ate the topping off of three pieces of veggie pizza. No crusties. If I had thrown in a scrambled egg it would of been heaven. lol

The weirdest thing, it is thundering like crazy outside and the sun is shining. I, at first, thought it was a truck revving up, but no, it was thunder. Both have subsided...no thunder, no sunshine.

MELLIE....I just noticed yur little quote at the end of your post. I love it. Absolutely.

Morning all,
We had a good barbeque yesterday. The weather forecast was for thundery showers in the afternoon, however I had a word with the weather gods and they held off until the guests were nearly ready to leave. Then they let all **** lose and my guests had to stay for the next round.
I was so busy yesterday, I managed to read but not to write. The boys came home from wherever and then got stuck into the heavy work, shifting chairs and tables etc. We have food left over that I shouldn't have to shop for anything but vegetables over the next couple of weeks.
We celebrated the DS2's new job - which he doesn't start until February next year, so this has been nearly a year in the making!!! and he is now considering going on holiday. I was hinting that he might like a working holiday in the States, fixing all the problems you ladies have, however I think he's more into backpacking in Ireland or Iceland or somewhere. I hope it wasn't Iran or Iraq! Little hothead that he can be, he'd be either running the country or running the jail gangs before the weekend was over.

Laura - good that you had a great time with your friend. And I am pleased to hear that she is benefitting from the conselling. Good for her.

Happy - Happy hairdressing

Mel - good that you can get some of that debt paid off the credit card. Wonderful things but not if you let them control you instead of the other way round. We had a bank manager at our bbq last night. We had a long involved discussion about investments, long term savings and the lack there of. It seems that we haven't yet learned our lessons about putting aside for a rainy day and if our banks weren't regulated the way they are, then many of us would be headed for the bankruptcy courts.
It seems that some of our bankers went to the government for permission to set up systems the same as the American banks were. Some far sighted politician (he must have left, since there doesn't seem to be too many thinking ones in the house at the moment) said no. And that's the only thing that stopped us from going the same way as you lot.

Annie - hope you have a good date with Bo. Eat up, then you can starve it off during the week. Thanks for the :kick: in the butt wake up call. I can't take offence at good advice. And you cleaned out the closet - now that is not an excuse for going out and buying new stuff. You hear.

Better go and see what the idiots have lined up for me this morning. Last week, I went over to another building to talk to one of the developers about how the users will use the system. A couple of things rung a few bells. So I went back to my office, called up a few people, asked a few questions and lo and behold, I am informed that there is documentation sitting on the Intranet for almost exactly the same stuff as I am being told has to be done yesterday. Ummmm. So I have printed it out, started to read it and am currently trying to see where I will need to make changes to the existing. What is wrong with these people? Do they like re-inventing the wheel?
On a lighter side, the work I did for Mick was well received by the company we wrote it for. One problem was that I had the wrong code for creating the work order or so it seemed, however when they went back to the original documents I had to work with, they found it was them that made the error. Yehhaaa not my mistake.
So anyway, they are talking about a complete documentation makeover in the new year and hopefully, they will offer Mick and I the work.

And my friend R from Melbourne has said that she will be up here for the weekend of Dec 10 and would like to stay. I'd better put some thought into sorting out some THINGS to do. Unlike Chris, she will not be happy to sit and read or chat - although I have the feeling my wine cellar will get a bit of a beating.

With that, I had better go and do something for the cause.

Um Shad...you actually have a wine cellar? OMG I will be over for sure. I need to get my kitchen cleaned up and head to bed. My mushroom sauce for the pasta tonight required a cup of dry white wine....this stuff is too good, I will surely gain weight just thinking about it. Glad the BBQ went well, tell DS that he certainly has a place to stay should he head to the states, can't say I will be here much, but he is welcome to stay.

The wine cellar is actually a cupboard but it is full. I just got some new stuff in last week. DS2 keeps his poison on the top shelf. I'll tell him you have invited him over!!!

Howdy chicks,

It must be autumn because my hair is red now I just really love my hairdresser. She is so good My hair is getting really fragile so we are easing up on the highlights for a while. Just wish I could get a different cut than the bob I always seem to wear. No much you can do with a squarish face and baby fine hair.

After my hair I went and got a pedicure. Much less busy on Saturdays than Sunday when I usually get there. After I got home DH and I talked for a while while we ate lunch and then went out to tackle the leaves in the back yard where we worked all afternoon. Spent the evening looking at potential homes.

Did some more of that today and more talking about the future. Now I'm playing catch up with laundry and dinner and some cleaning. And wisk goes the weekend once again. We FINALLY got some rain today after a very very dry 2 months of NOTHING but a spit here or there. It actually smelled like chalk when I watered the bushes yesterday. So horridly dry. Shad is awash and we are a desert - how is that?

Shad - glad you got the doco straightened out. Too bad your friend is not content to visit with you. I agree that DS2 would enjoy and adventure far more than visiting with old(er) ladies here.

Annie - you sure are one busy woman. Do you actually read Cosmo???? Redbook will give them a run for the money and they have recipes to boot Cosmo got too over the top for me - or maybe I just got too old for Cosmopolitan magazine

Ooops - I wrote this a LONG time ago and forgot to post it. I still need to add more personals to those I have missed but it's almost bedtime. I will pick up in the morning. Nighty night.

Happy - R has no problem with visiting. But she is not one to sit quietly as Chris is. With R we generally tend to go out, eat, find interesting gardens or old houses, and drink wine. She likes a lively discussion and frequently I take an opposing view of the subject just to get her going. See we are as bad as one another. R works in HR, and I don't have much time for the 'warm & fuzzy" as I call it, so we have some interesting discussions. We have some mutual friends now living in Brisbane so we may go visit them.
Hair sounds good.
Can you guess that once again I have nothing to do?

Shad...wine cabinet will do too!! I have a small wine rack that will hold aout 9 bottles. It only has like 4 bottles of wine on it. I will take donations.

MELLIE....sorry didn't learn any new wicked tricks for the bedroom...I already knew them. hahahahahahhaha Today's high is 76 and sunny, drats being in here working at the moment, but greatful.

Go on the internet and get the recipe. I am a dork.

Good mornings to all ya'll, hope your weekends were relaxing yet productive.

Today's breakfast...cottage cheese, grapes, coffee, iced tea fixed for the day. and I WILL hula hoop tonight.

Morning Chicks.
i made to Springfield on Saturday. My sis had to work Saturday night so i had to be quiet most of the time. Sunday was church, and I took them out to eat at Braums. She called my nephew to see if we could drop by to see her grand daughter. She is beautiful. and came right to me. My sis and I went to the park for a walk but I didn't to well. I get very winded. I enjoyed my time in the swing.
Tonight is a family dinner where every one is coming out and I'll get to play baby more often. I'll try to get some picture's posted.

My sis gave me a consult on diet program but it's one I've already implemented. If I can't get my hdl up with regular exercise then I'll have to have medication to raise it. i'm to count calories at least 1500, keep my cholesterol grams below 200 and eat more than 20 grams of fiber. She wanted the experience. I did learn that my bp med is a beta blocker which helps with my racing pulse, but it also help with my bp.

No time for personal's, just learned that my neice is on her way out.

Good Morning all. Monday again so soon??!!

Annie - Sounds like a nice weekend. How was dinner w/ Bo? Don't worry about offending re my lack of progress on the weight loss front - I definitely need a kick in the pants as far as that's concerned!! That said - food is on my mind RIGHT NOW. I think it's just being back at work and wishing I weren't!!

Shad - Glad the bbq was mostly rain-free. Another visitor - sounds nice. And you'll be out and about w/ this one. LOL about the co. already having the doco on their intranet. Do they have locations in the US? They might be able to help w/ the unemployment problem here!!

Mel - LOL about Jen's temper being quicker as a redhead! Gosh, I hope this economic crisis isn't going to keep ricocheting around the world! Yeh, we had a mild weekend, and it's warm here today too. I'm enjoying it! We're supposed to get super windy weather the next couple days. I'm sure everyone's trees but ours will lose all their leaves during this! I left bf a note to put away the lawn furniture. One time the wind blew a chair into a window and broke the glass. Don't need that to happen again.

Happy - Ahh, I could use a pedicure. Actually, I wouldn't mind just sitting on the sofa with my feet soaking in the foot spa and a glass of wine by my side. So I'm confused - is it WI you're considering for a future home? I thought NH was a contender too. Confused. :???:

Hellos to Michelle & Ceejay!!

Well, I was quite the sloth yesterday, except for two loads of laundry. Bf and I finally went to the phone store. He's been hounding me about getting a new phone ever since I said I was ready for a new one. I ended up getting an iPhone. At lease I'll be able to eliminate my separate iPod now. Our IT group supports the iPhone operating system, so if I wanted I could get it set up for work e-mail and intranet, but I'm not sure that's what I want! Once you respond to a couple e-mails on your commute, a new norm would be set and it would never end!!

Anyway - one thing I will definitely consider doing with this iPhone is having an app to help me w/ tracking my eating. I will have to do some research on that.

Nothing much else to report. After the phone purchase and lunch, I walked doggy, stitched a rip in a pair bf's gym shorts, then at long last sewed the grocery bag holder using my cute doggie fabric. I need to take a pic of that - I have an online sewing friend who'll want to see it.

I wasted a couple hours watching "When in Rome" on cable last night. Ugh, just didn't care for that silly movie. And I tuned in about 20 minutes after it had started, so I probably missed the least annoying part of it! I had the dvd for "A Single Man" from the library, but it wouldn't load for me on our dvd player. It goes back tonight. I think the lead actor was nominated for an Oscar last year, so I probably would have liked it better than "When in Rome". I'm skipping the movie tomorrow night. Aaack, I'm almost out of discounted movie theater tickets. I need to follow up w/ M. to see if she's placed the order yet...

Okay, just babbling now. Need to get this baby posted and get to work. I have an online compliance session (Information Security) to complete by Friday and I just want to get it over and done with because I'm sick of getting the daily reminder e-mails.

TTFN!
