Well fookity, locked my freakin keys in the car, my buddy Joe is supposed to come over after his dinner at the pub with is jimmy thingy to unlock my car. Hope it works. Was supposed to meet up with the group for an adult beverage, but now am spending this Friday night at home drinking margaritas by myself and making comfort food....tuna noodle casserole. Damn it, I just want one month of everything going smoothly. It was **** at work today too. I didn't get everything done I needed to and ran out of time. Let's move on to Saturday with an unlocked car...praying for that. The locksmith came and was supposed to cost 19 bucks to get the car unlocked. He then stated 29.00 for the service call and 110.00 to for labor, whatever, takes 2 seconds to unlock the car. I said like **** it will, I am not paying that and get out of my driveway. Dang towel head anyway...sorry, but I am pissed and if that statement offends you, a thousand pardons. He argued the point and I said, get outta here before I call the police, I am NOT paying that, he said what would you pay. I said like 40 bucks max. He said I can't do it for that. I said then you git, he tried to argue, but I said get the **** off my property. He scrambled. LOL Now I am waiting on Joe to come open my car. Anyway, my purse is in the car too, how would I pay? Two times I have beyond pissed about things today. I need God to intervene. Show me the way, before someone get seriously hurt. I am babbling but I can't stop typing.

MELLIE.....YOu are a hoot. Take it easy. Have a relaxing weekend. You ole sicko like me...lol

Shaddie...sounds like your son needs some intervention on the woman issue.

Chelle.....How exciting to get new exercise machine. However, I am still not motivated.

Love and hugs

Joe couldn't get my car unlocked, but my neighbor belongs to AAA Auto club, so she called them and the dude was here in 20 minutes and had the door unlocked in about 30 seconds. Unfortunately it was already 10 pm and too late for this old chick to go out to the pub. The auto club dude, Joe and neighbor all said goodnite, so here I type and getting ready to head to bed. Nighty night all ya'll.

I'm online for work...waiting for the systems to come back online so I can run my freakin' reports and send them off for final, final approval. If they don't come up soon, I'll run the dang things tomorrow.

At least with working at home today, I got all the laundry done. The work clothes are in the dryer so I need to get them hung up before I go to bed. The towels can wait until tomorrow to be folded.

Mel - please, please, please relax this weekend. Relax your mind, body and eyes (well, your eyes are part of your body, but you know what I mean).

Annie - Sorry about the locked keys...but maybe that was His way of telling you to relax tonight since you've had a stressful day and have a super busy weekend ahead.

I hope to be hitting the hay soon. It's getting to be past my bedtime, especially since I have to get up by 6:30 am tomorrow.

Love and hugs,

CHEERS!!! IT'S SATURDAY!!

ANNIE IS ALREADY AHEAD OF CELEBRATING THE WEEKEND...SEEMS LIKE SHE STARTED LAST NIGHT SOMETIMES I WISH I COULD DRINK AND JUST FORGET THE WHOLE WORLD. BUT I DID COME TO A DECISION LAST NIGHT. THE FIRE ALARM REPAIR WILL PROBABLY BE EARLY MONDAY MORNING. THESE GUYS COME FROM THE OTHER END OF NJ. SO AS SOON AS I GET OFF HERE, I'M SHOOTING AN E-MAIL TO THE BOSS AND TELLING THEM I'M TAKING THE REST OF THAT DAY OFF. I WON'T BE ANY GOOD TO ANYONE ON TUESDAY IF I DON'T......INCLUDING MYSELF.
TOLD THE KIDS LAST NIGHT...DON'T CALL ME, I'LL CALL YOU. PUT THE SIGN ON THE DOOR TO USE THE EMERGENCY BEEPER. NO COMPUTER & NO BOOKS. GOTTA GET THE EYES FEELING BETTER AGAIN. SO ONLY TV. MY BIGGEST DECISION WILL BE WHAT TO WATCH
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

ANNIE...I THOUGHT OF YOU THIS MORNING WHILE IN THE BATHROOM.... TALKING ABOUT SICKOS.....
I WAS SITTING THERE SHOOTING PELLETS LIKE A FRIGGNG MACHINE GUN AND LAUGHING MY FOOL HEAD OFF. I SUPPOSE THERE ARE WORSE WAYS OF BEGINNING THE DAY!!
SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE CAR AND GLAD IT HAD A HAPPY ENDING. I BOUGHT THE KIDS AAA FOR CHRISTMAS LAST YEAR. IT'S GING TO BE A STAPLE GIFT. :xgift: IF I COULD GIFT YOU SOMETHINGSPECIAL...IT WOULD BE A YEAR OF BOREDOM!

MICHELLE....I HOPE THE EVERYTHING WENT OK LAST NIGHT FOR THE WORK...OR THIS MORNING AS THE CASE MAY BE!! ENJOY THE REST OF THE WEEKEND. I LOVE TO PUT A WARM TOWEL AROUND ME WHEN I DO THE WASH AND BRING IT UP HERE. PEOPLE LAUGH AS I LEAVE THE LAUNDRY ROOM

Morning all,
Been up and at it since early this morning and now it is time to sit around for a while and think up the next series of jobs. Slowly getting things done. Pity DS1 is still not here - my floors never looked so clean. And now they need another sweep.

It's a bit steamy out there today. Maybe we're in for a storm or two this afternoon. Summer sure comes in a hurry round here.

DS2 just came home from his night out (yep pulled an all nighter) and is moaning about the state of his head. Time for me to go make a noise I think. Back later if I can think of interesting things to say.

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of day's. I lost my ISP and could not get it back. Ugh. I'm calling the technician tonight. Hopefully he can help if not I"m going back to Verizon Thursday.

We had a good time this week. Friday we went to Silver Dollar City and walked around for awhile. And Annie there was a HUmana booth there. I made a picture with my cell phone but forgot to push save. Friday night we stayed for the Eco Hollow show in the ampitheater. It was superb.

After my experience at Silver Dollar City and walking up hills, I've decided that i'm going to start walking again on the treadmill. I'm good once I'm on flant ground but those steps a the ampitheater and those 45 degree hill's like to have killed me. My heart felt like it was coming out of my heart.

Happy Halloween all!

Shad - I'm sure you're missing ds1's helpfulness - I sure would! So he's not liking it in s. oz? Hope he finds his way back up to Brisbane.

Mel - Hope you got plenty of rest for your eyes and the rest of yourself. Please don't overdo it on Tuesday!!

Annie - Sorry about the lockout - never a dull moment, huh? Hope CVS isn't too crazy today. We bought our candy there last night. Not busy, but some of their systems weren't working - couldn't do a debit card transaction if I wanted to. But I didn't - I earn points for processing as a credit. So - how was the party, Ms. Naughty & Nice??? Your costume sounded fun - photos please!!

Michelle- Yay for getting the inversion machine ordered! Hope you didn't have to stay up too late w/ the reports...I hang or lay flat my work clothes to dry, so those laundry loads are a PITA. Easier to do my whites - don't care if the gym socks and t-shirts get wrinkled sitting in the dryer.

Ceejay - Sounds like you had a very nice vacation. Being able to fully enjoy and participate in the physical activities is good motivation for exercising. I have to keep that in mind for my trip in May. Have you gotten your computer/internet service working properly yet?

Hello to Happy!!!

Yesterday was somewhat productive - once I got going. I did a BE workout, sorted laundry, did a couple loads, broke down a couple dozen cardboard boxes. In the recycling bin they went. Bagged up the packing peanuts, bubble wrap and air pouches and dropped them off at the local UPS store. So nice they're gone and can be reused by someone. Hopefully I won't need any of that material any time soon! And the best part is that when I got to the bottom of that pile, I found doggie's long-missing Kong toy!! Yay. I also found one of my gym socks, LOL. The box pile is next to the bsmt stairs and so things sometimes go over the sides when tossed down...

I also tore out the veg garden and made a small dent in gathering the branches in the yard.

Oh, our afternoon dog walk was interesting...doggy & I went to the creek since the weather was so nice yesterday. A short way in, doggy saw something - a pile of gray fur. Then it got up and ran back into the wooded area - I'm pretty sure it had to be a coyote! About the size of Coal, but rather skinny. You know I started back the way we came and ditched the idea of the walk along the creek!!! I kept turning back to look, and the coyote did come back out of the wooded area, but thankfully didn't come our way!! We finished our walk back on the streets around our house. Rather uneventful, except doggy did growl at someone's Halloween decor, lol. He sees something w/ eyes and gets very protective, LOL.

In the evening, bf & I went to the mall. I bought a case for my iPhone and then had a protective coating installed on the front screen. All I think about when I'm at the mall (I rarely go - it drives me batty) is people buying stuff they can't afford...

Nothing planned for today. My quadriceps are sore from yesterday's BE workout, so I just want to sit. Miracle, my newspaper came today, so I'm going to brew some tea and do some reading. That's about it, and even if it isn't, I'm getting tired of typing, so I'll just post now.

TTFN!

Morning all,
Back to Monday again and here I am sitting at the desk, envying you lot the remainder of your weekend.
DS2 has been building a wall for my garden. I'm putting in a big new garden at the front of the house. The lawn has turned into weed so I figured the best way to get it looking good again is not to have it at all. I've taken some pictures of my yard - front and back and will post them as time permits. The block wall is sandstone look alike and I picked up some pots in the same sort of colours at the hardware store yesterday. I've planted geraniums in the pots and they stand on the wall. I hope they grow nice and bushy. Geraniums/ Pelagoniums have some interesting colours these days. Mine are dark red, bright red, white with a tinge of pink, and burgundy/ purple. I'm in the process of repotting some of the orchids as well. They are becoming squashed in the hanging pots.
As well as that, on the gardening binge, I took all the seed pods off the poinciana tree. These are long black twisted ugly looking things. Many of them I couldn't reach either by hand or standing on the step stool, so the long handle of the rake came in handy as I knocked them off. Darn things are hard when they land on your head or whatever.
Finally some of the tomato are ripening and I picked a couple yesterday. I've been eating lettuce for a while and the snow peas are started to produce and also I'd better get on with the Rocket (Arugula) before it goes off to seed or gets eaten by the bugs. All in all the garden is looking okay. Roses are well into their blooming period and will need to be cut back when this flush of flowers has gone. I think all except two are in bloom at the moment.

DS1 rang to say they had arrive home safely. Witnessed an accident in the last half hour of the journey. Some twit doing twice the speed limit hurtled past them, lost control on the bend, wiped out the trees in the median strip, two cars going the other way, broke through a fence and hit a house. That stopped him. So tired as they were, the DS1 and DP had to give statements to the police and point out the various happenings that lead up to the crash. I told the DS1 that I hoped he didn't tell the cops how far he had driven that day - they might have give him a fatigue ticket.

Annie - The cheek of the locksmith. Did you ring a company and get a quote or did you talk directly to him? Because if you spoke to and was quoted by a company person, I would be ringing them back and asking about this man. He may be ripping off both you and the company. I can't lock the keys in this car - either have to lock it with the remote or with a key, can't just get out and shut the door.
Look forward to the pics of the costume

Mel - Maintenance departments are always shorthanded. Doesn't matter where you go. Either they have too much to do or they hang about like spare pr*cks at a wedding - in which case they get put off as surplus to requirement.

Ceejay - so pleased that you made it in to tell us that you are having a good time. I'm envious.

Laura - you truly are the exercise queen. A coyote? I thought they were bush critters?? How come they are down in the town. Not enough left out there for them?

Michelle - Hope those report got finally, finally, finally finished. I guess I had better go run through a few myself to see how it works.
Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

And with that I might just get inspired enough to strike a blow for Cost Control. See ya

I'll set up Novembers thread this afternoon. When all you little ones go to the Land of Nod.
