Morning all. TGIF!!!
Michelle - LOL - stalking the big shots for their signatures.

Nice the boss appreciated your tenacity.
Shad - More funny stories please! LOL, real or imagined coffee. My mom's retired and has plenty of time to brew real coffee, but she's a frugal sort and would hate it if she didn't finish a pot of coffee she'd brewed. So she's an instant coffee drinker. I'm not a coffee drinker at all, so I'm with DS1 - smells good (especially the smell of the beans being ground!), but I'll pass on drinking it.
Mel - Hope your office day goes okay - DON'T WORK TOO HARD!! You're ahead of me w/ blowdrying your hair. I didn't have time this morning, but I better start getting my act together in the mornings - it's getting too darn cold to leave the house w/ wet hair!!
Happy - No, I didn't perform in the talent show, just attended it. I thought the $5 fee for admission was worth it, and for a good cause. People like this kind of stuff and are willing to spend a few bucks for it. I'm sure the contributions via payroll deduction are probably suffering a bit though due to the freeze on raises and bonuses... Doesn't help that our insurance rates are increasing this year too, but at least they're limiting it to 5%.
Annie - I hope your car problem doesn't turn out to be major $$$. It's not related to that car hitting yours a while back?? If so, let them pay for it - church or not. One of my lunches was pretty healthy - tilapia sandwich. The other wasn't - big serving of pasta. So it's a split - only a half free-for-all.
Ceejay - Hope you're enjoying your vacay. Maybe you've already left for your sister's?? Safe travels!!
Yesterday's fundraiser talent show was good - three singers, one pianist (a video), two standup comics, and one act that's hard to describe - a one-man band of sorts (who was not actually a serious contestant). There was a judging panel because this was, after all, modeled after "America's Got Talent". I wasn't too keen on the act in which a Mr. White Bread sang the Louie Armstrong song "What a Wonderful World" - in Louie's voice, of course. I've seen that done a few times and I just don't think it's funny, and I kind of think it borders on inappropriate. Not sure why - comics do impersonations of all types/races of people all the time and I don't have a problem with it... I'm just being weird. One of the standup comics won it, deservedly. A $500 prize!
I did one BE workout last night, but bf did the dog walk before I got home, so no dog walk for me. I watched some tv, finished the Carl Hiaasen novel, did a load of laundry, and loaded some more music and podcasts on iTunes, which I synched to my iPod this morning. My knee is STILL sore, so I'm not doing the elliptical today. I'm gonna do a couple errands at lunchtime anyway.
Tomorrow the friend whose dh passed away is coming over and we'll hang out and also go out to lunch. Been a long time since we got together, and it'll be a bit sad because the three of us (bf included) will be missing T. Nothing else planned for the weekend - yay!!
