Merry Christmas to all....and to all a goodnite. Worked 8.5 hours today at CVS with ONE 5 minute break to piddle. Whew.

Christmas eve with the family was very enjoyable. Altho we got some sad, disturbing news about mom. Docs have given her a few day to a few months to live. We shall see. It all depends on her really. I am, at the moment, at peace and not crying about it.

Have a terrific weekend.

Much love and Many hugs as we jiggle our junk in to January.

IT MADE FOR A VERY WET CHRISTMAS. AT LEAST IT IS WARMER. THE BLDG HAS BEEN QUIET EXCEPT FOR A FEW DOORBELLS AND SMOKE ALARMS. GUESS EVERYONE IS TIRED OUT FROM ALL THE HOLIDAY HUSTLE AND BUSTLE.
A GOOD TIME TO TAKE NAPS AND CATCH UP WITH READING.

Just checking in for a minute as I have lots of work to do. DH and I had a great Christmas. It was wonderful to see his Aunt, Uncle and all the cousins (and their kids and grandkids). There was definitely a houseful of laughter and fun.

Annie - I'm so very sorry to hear the sad news about your mom. I know what a difficult time you're going through, and sending you lots of love and hugs, prayers and angels. Enjoy every moment...every day is a gift.

Love and hugs to all,
Michelle

Mel
Love the mantra of Jiggling my Junk into January

Annie

Michelle
Enjoy your day.

Had a fun time visiting with the relatives. My uncle got a few hours pass from rehab for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. He has really improved but not to the point of running a race. He did make it up and down the stairs which impressed me. He said his PT had been having him do this every day. He tired pretty easy though and took a long nap after every one left. He was wanting to go to church tomorrow but imho he's not physically able to do this yet. My aunt called the nurse and told him and she agreed that he wasn't. She told us that there would be no more passes. We are hoping for that on Wednesday of next week.

I've learned a lesson this week end about listening to the weather people and will be obeying their warnings. OMG, what a mess I had to drive in Thursday! Can you visualize 6 inches of rain in low lying area's? I felt like I was driving through a river. There was water every where.

2010 is going to be a bit different for me. I'm not goinig to focus as much on weight loss but will focus on getting healthy. My goal is to have my cholesterol back to 100 with my hdl 50 or above and ldl lower than 50.

Morning all,
Mel and I have put the world to rights this morning, so you can all rest easy in your beds now. It took us 2hr, 21 mins and 16 secs. The world must have been in a very bad state.

I'm about to go shopping for some paint for the DS2's house and try to sort out a hair appointment. For some reason they are not answering the phone this morning. Then I guess I should go do something to move the projects on hand forward.

My DS2 got me a Wii Fit for Christmas!!!! but I have no idea as yet how it works. And apparently I can't take it with me because I need the modem thingy that connects the board with the tv. and I'm not allowed to take that away from him. Oh well. I should get to try it before I leave to go back anyway. Then I can understand (maybe) what Michelle is talking about.

Annie - how you holding up???

Ceejay - Interesting that they are making the uncle climb stairs for his rehabilition. They sure get them moving fast these days.

Michelle - don't work too hard over the holidays. Did you get the penguin in the sales? I've just been watching a program on the Adele penguins in Antarctica. It was quite interesting although it seems that the health of the population is declining thanks to Global warming.

Okay - I better get cracking since the kid will be into me for some input shortly. For those driving - take it easy and drive safely, for the stay at homes, keep warm and toasty and take it easy.

And 'jiggling the junk into January' ! Shouldn't we be ditching some of this junk we carry around with us?? Jettison the junk???

Shad - I'm very glad that you and Mel spent a couple hours setting the world right this morning! I can now rest easy as we move toward the new year. Yes, the penguins in the Antarctic are being threatened by the melting of the polar ice caps and the thinning of the ozone. It's very sad. I was however, able to rescue a penguin (photo attached) from WalMart's shelves at the 1/2 price sale this morning. As for January...I totally agree let's Jettison the junk!!!!!

I've spent 8 hours on the computer today...unfortunately not all of it is billable time, but some of it is...so that's good. I'll probably do more website work tomorrow.

Shad - I just read that your DS2 got you the Wii Fit!! That's great! Enjoy! I am using it every day, and I was wrong...you CAN get a good workout on it. I like the Rhythm Kung Fu, Boxing, Step Aerobics and Running. I haven't done much with the Strength Training or Yoga yet. But I've tried the Balance exercises and they are challenging. As for the Yoga, my niece who is a Yoga instructor said that she really learns A LOT from the Wii Fit yoga...as it really monitors how your weight is distributed in the moves. She's also used the Wii and Wii Fit during her internship at Senior Centers. The seniors enjoyed the exercises, but mostly just wanted to do the bowling game.
