I lost 3.8 according to WW scales. I finally got to move my ticker lower than it has ever been! Woo Hoo! It is amazing what happens when you stick to you "plan". I need a few more weeks of that!

ChopperChick355 10-13-2009 06:16 PM

Super Tammy - that is awesome and you deserve it - to bad your partner is not taking this as serious as you - Oh well it has done good for you though

Snow has melted but more coming tonight but they are saying only 1-2 inches so hey not bad at all

Well I did get my hair cut and will get a picture tonight and post it not exactly how I wanted it to be cut but it will do :) Really I don't mind it at all oh and I got 4.5 inches cut off but my hair grows really fast - I am sure not even close to what you got cut off Tammy :)

Anyways time to make some supper so I will check back later

hope you day is going good Holly- I know you are working hard and staying the night I believe tonight

ChopperChick355 10-14-2009 08:35 AM

Good Morning Ladies :) Hump Day today

Well tonight I am going to test myself I have to be able to do 1.5 miles in less than 12 minutes to get scuba certified- Didn't get a picture but will today, the hair is working out much bettter and I have to fix it everyday not just pull it back and go.......

Well off to work but wanted to check in first

ladyrider72472 10-14-2009 03:23 PM

CC:- can't wait to see a pic of your hair.
So, you have to walk 1.5 miles in 12 minutes for scuba (forgive me I am a blonde and I am lost)?

Did you see BL last night and SOA? I did not see SOA but DH said it was a let down. I did see BL. I won't spoil it for you if you have not seen it...... but I do have something to say about it (when do I not have something to say).
My boss made us deer stew today....... I ate 1/2 cup (I sooo wanted more) but tomorrow is the official weigh in at boot camp.... even though I think my partner has blown it for us, I want to do my best (and still life a reasonable life without going overboard food wise). Geezzzz the official weigh ins this week are killing me.... but it is helping me. I don't want to stand in front of our boot camp leader that has 7% body fat and not have done my best. So, we will see. Back to the stew..... it was sooo good...... I know it had more salt in it than I should have had, but it was worth it!

Well CC not too many more days until you go to Vegas! A lady in boot camp just came back from there and was telling us of a steak house that provides you coats b/c it is sooo cold in there..... it is on the strip (Excalibur-- maybe) the name of it is Red Room or something like that (sounds like a strip joint :) )....... so what are your plans while you are there?

Did I tell you ladies that DH is thinking he may want to go back to Vegas this spring again--- on the bikes? It was nice for us to be going across country alone..... on our bikes. So, I am up for it. Maybe it will be a little less stressful b/c I won't have wedding arrangements to deal with.....

Holly, I hope you are not working too hard.

ChopperChick355 10-14-2009 10:36 PM

Hey Tammy, yes I did get to watch BL and SOA - who would have thought MO over Tracy??? But then again he was hurt so you have to do what is best for the team. SOA well ya it wasn't all that great- I guess the ending was the best part when JAX kept telling them it was set up anyways you haven't got to watch it yet but it does replay on Sunday or MOnday nights

Yes 2 weeks till Vegas- you know no real plans we have a couple of couples that have not been there in a long time so I am sure we will be doing some of the tourist things but then again the group thats going well all partiers :)
The Red Room I don't believe it at the Excalibur but could be wrong we have stayed at the Excalibur several times and don't remember that one

Tammy you have done a wonderful job and tomorrow weigh ins will prove it :)

Oh a bike ride to Vegas sounds awesome to but can't get DH to give up his week to Sturgis and he only gets 2 weeks a year vacation however it usually ends up being 2 weeks and a couple of days.....

Ok well Rider meeting went well tonight we scheduled Nov pot luck meeting and bring canned food to donate to food pantry- Then in December we are doing toy drive at that meeting (potluck)

Well hope Holly is not working her fingers off :) HI Holly

Well talk to you Ladies tomorrow- have a great night

VermontMom 10-15-2009 06:53 AM

Hi ladies!! back home, it was fun at first staying at work, like a hotel, because you have everything you need with none of the clutter or responsibility of home, but I was missing home by the second night. Thanks for all the well-wishes :)

oh and yes Reda, DS did stay there during summer, and then once he stated back to college, he would stay there for the weekends when he worked. Oh my god, I peeked in his room to see what 'state' it was in - WHAT A MESS!! I had to be a mother and I cleaned it up for him. Not good for making him responsible for himself, but I just couldn't help it.

Oh this is nice - one evening there was a birthday cake ordered, and since I was waitressing also, the man found out that I made his cake, and came into the kitchen to find me and gave a $10 tip 'to me for making it' and $10 to my waitstaff partner 'for serving it'. Very nice of him.

Tammy, congrats on your ticker going DOWN so much!! It is amazing isn't it when we stick to plan how it rewards us. Woo hoo to you!!:carrot: And I think a ride on bikes to Vegas will be great, especially that you won't be stressed with the wedding plans. Free spirits :D

Reda, I sure hope the transmission comes and that it can be installed in time for you to get a ride, and hope the 50s temps (with hopefully some sun) forecast stays for you. I am looking forward to seeing your new 'do!

well I need to do a workout, haven't since Monday I think.

today is payday :carrot:!!! Happy day :D

talk at ya's later!

VermontMom 10-15-2009 07:59 AM

30 Day Shred, Level 3!

ChopperChick355 10-15-2009 08:23 AM

good morning -
Holly glad to hear you made it home and wow what a great tip, that is super :)

Well the 1.5 mile in 12 minutes did not pan out, it took 15 minutes but I was pushing myself either, wanted to see how hard it would be so tonight now I will push a little harder and see. I do believe I can do it so no worries

Tammy Good Luck at weigh in today, let us know how it goes

WhooHooo Holly you just reminded me today is payday yaay

Well better get off to work ttyl

ladyrider72472 10-15-2009 09:19 AM

:carrot::carrot: Woo Hoo! The scale showed a 7 pound loss (total with the WW weight in-- not in addition)..... my partner pulled a 6.5 (even with cheating). We will not know until tomorrow if we won or not. I figure we did not b/c if a new couple signed up they would drop it like hot butter..... but it was a good motivator for me. :carrot: I have moved my ticker....... it is going down! Woo Hoo! If I continue to lose 2 pounds a week then I can be AT GOAL by New Year..... which means I don't have to start 2010 out on WL program..... I just have to maintain.

CC- I know you can make that mile if you push yourself..... just make that voice inside your head push ya..... that is how I make it through boot camps. I know I am working towards something I WANT!

Holly, That was a GREAT tip...... but in hearing your work ethic and morals, I would venture to think you earned EVERY bit of it! You go girl. I know exactly how you feel about your son's room.

I bought a BL cardio (one taped a few seasons ago) DVD last night..... I am going to do it on the weekends--- well, at least Saturday.

I want to tell you girls without getting mushy...... b/c biker chicks don't get mushy :) I am glad I found this thread on this site. You have no clue how much you two inspire me!

VermontMom 10-16-2009 06:14 AM

Good morning, and WOO HOO :congrat: to Tammy!! that is a major loss and even if you guys don't get the $, hey, you've already won :D I know you can concentrate and do that 2 a week loss..then starting the New Year with maintaining would be so awesome...You rock! :carrot:

I know what you mean about being so glad that we have found each other here

good morning Reda, any confirmation that today the transmission will arrive? and tell me about being SCUBA certified, I know nothing of that.

I put together a couple gifts for people at the Club (with Sunday being the last day). For my chef boss, a nice little antique looking box (that was only $4) it's the same 'old - timey' type box that I used for the raffle box a couple weeks ago - anyway, I found a really strange whisk - it is like a normal kitchen whisk, but it also has an additional set of wires inside it, and inside THAT is a little stainless steel ball. I guess the point is that it would give more aerating/whisking action, but it looks like a combination Whisk / Cat Toy  And some homemade cookies and a note just saying that I am glad to work there, with him, and still love it after 9 years.

For the lady manager, the same type of old -timey looking box, with a pair of chenille stretchy gloves, and pair of soft and fuzzy lounging socks, they are glam because they have a rhinestone flower on the ankle :D and a bag of cookies too.

For the club manager, two framed photos, 8 x 10's - they are digital pics of his dog, who was a big part of the Club (everyone knew 'Shooter') and he died (well, had to be put down) after many years. The manager would ride from his house to the Club building on the 4 wheeler, and Shooter would hop up and ride behind him...in his older years, the manager would have to help Shooter up on the seat. But what a site, the dog riding behind was so cute.

I am a little anxious in giving those photos, because I know if it were me, I think I would cry, seeing my deceased dog, even though I would love seeing the pics. So I think I will drop off the frames at his house, on the way to work, so he can open them in his home and not in front of anyone.

I am trying to keep positive about the winter job  (which I start on Monday, the day after finishing at the Club) I will try not to complain too much about things, maybe only tell if something is funny :D

Well I love this time of the morning, with coffee and the warm laptop, I love it more when it isn't pitch black outside but ya can't have everything huh.

our weather is not looking good for motorcycling anytime soon, am really hoping for some mild weather for ALL OF US before it is really time to put them away.

i'll check in after I exercise :strong:

ladyrider72472 10-16-2009 10:10 AM

Holly, you are so creative. I bet your manager with the dog pictures will love it even if he does cry....... it makes you feel good when people care about your pets. They are such a part of your life.

CC, I thought maybe I just missed a post or two about scuba..... do share.
I hope that the tranny gets to your bike soon!

Well...... a little bad news. Zeke (youngest) laid his bike over yesterday in the school parking lot on a slick spot. I had 2 parents verify that there was nothing he did wrong. He tried to catch himself and ended up breaking his arm. But, while he was on the ground with the bike on top of him TWO different teachers drove around him..... and did not see if he was okay. His friends and their parents got the bike up and stayed with him until I got there. It made me so mad that b/c they do not "agree" with him riding a bike..... they left my child on the ground, not knowing if he was okay.
So, the arm is broke..... as luck would have it, he broke the slowest healing bone in the body according to the doctor. He said he if he was an adult he would take him to surgery, but he is going to see how it does for the next week and a half. He also said Zeke has not finished growing yet and he will be taller/bigger than me. I thought he was going to be his dad's stature, but he says he will be tall. So, that may be to our advantage. Btw, a funny part is Zeke was not worried about him..... just the bike and the ACDC helmet.
The doctor in the ER was giving me heck about letting him ride. I gave it right back to him about cheerleading, football, and other sports that people get hurt in. He got off me a little when he found out DH is a deputy.....

So, that was my night. Oh, I ate at IHOP b/c we did not get out of the ER until LATE..... but to my advantage..... I only ate 1/2 my plate and sent the rest home for my oldest son.

I have to get to work..... Y'all have a great day.

willow650 10-16-2009 10:57 PM

WOW I have missed lot of posts, been babysitting this week. Tomorrow morning DH and I heading to Daytona for Biketoberfest. I can't wait. Check out all the new stuff at Roarmotorcycles.com The owner Kathy just wrote book. Also if you are on FB, became their fan :) She should also check WildKat, their new production bike ITS PRETTY But it is NOT A SPORTSTER....lol Sorry, have had to tell a few people that. I hve lost my camera so I will only have myphone for photos but I will do my best.

VermontMom 10-17-2009 06:28 AM

good morning, Oh Tammy, I am sorry for Zeke's arm :( and I would be FURIOUS that people freakin drove around him???? I think I would find out who they were are let them have it....verbally I guess. What horrible people. "Oh, he chose to ride a motorcycle, he gets what he deserves".

and I"m so glad you gave it right back to the doctor!! way to go!

such a stressful day for you, and you had half your dinner, that is great

hi Mandy, have enough fun at Biketoberfest for all us chicks who are cold :)

hi Reda, hope you have a nice Saturday

The manager did like the frames pics very very much.

ChopperChick355 10-17-2009 06:49 PM

Hello Ladies-

Well shoot haven't been on for a couple of days- been busy

Mandy have a great time for all of us here because we just aren't getting the riding weather we would like

Holly that was great of you to give the gifts and yes you were very creative :) Can't believe this is almost it for your summer job it seems like it just flew right bye........

Tammy 7 pounds you rock girl :carrot: Have you heard who won the moola? Wow sorry to hear about your son that is just awful and I just can't believe anyone would just drive right by and not stop - maybe some day they will need help along side the road and others will just drive by them. Can't believe a DR would be putting his 2 cents in about your son riding but some
people are just totally against riding motocycles- to bad for them, they just don't know what they are missing;)

Well no transmission yet, not sure hopefully Monday I will get message on where it is
Rider group had to cook and serve at our Eagles Club Steak night last night we were all new at it but we did awesome, didn't have any complaints on the food or the service, on a good note I got 2 tips for more than $10 bucks and a couple of $5 tips - so everyone was asking if I waitressed in my younger years and nope never have waitressed in my life - I really enjoyed it but probably not as a full time job but just one night every 4 weeks will do just fine. Well tonight we are just sitting at home relaxing
thank goodnes- still hoping weather pans out tomorrow but you never know around here

Well you guys have a great Day and TTYL

VermontMom 10-17-2009 09:35 PM

Hi chicks, the sun came out today and even though it was still chilly air temp (very low 50's) we got out on the bikes for about 1 1/2 hours, it was sooo nice, cause I hadn't ridden since last Saturday. There was a lady watching me getting ready to get back on the bike in town, she hastily said, "I'm just enjoying watching you, I used to ride" and we chatted and I she had a little Honda scooter years ago :scooter so that was kewl

but the sun disappeared pretty quickly and I was COLD by the time we got home, but that was okay.

Reda, congrats on your waitressing skills! You are open and friendly and I bet you were attentive, that's why people liked you :) Sure hope the transmission arrives soon!!

Tammy, hope your son is not in pain with his arm.

Mandy, how is Biketoberfest, you lucky girl?

well yep, tomorrow is the last day of my summer job. Sigh! And I start "The Other Place" the very next day. Oh well! Help me remember that I actually said I was thankful for this job, LOL! and yeah I am. Oh, did I tell you that the person who will be calling DH for his UI interview, will be calling this Thursday.

Nothing much else going on, 'cept that I had to do a short workout yesterday, cause I did a different video, one I hadn't done in a while, and my sciatica started hurting so much I had to stop the step portion, and cut the rest of it short. But I must have worked some muscles, because I am sore across the pecs and through the biceps today. A different range of motion in working out makes such a difference.

And I have been eating alot, and I sure won't maintain doing that!

have a good night
